Hey there Beerfest Partakers!
Bouncing by really quick with just a few Updates/Changes that you may or may not even notice happening in the game.
These changes will vary by where you are in the game and what you have unlocked as well as the device you are playing on.
GOOGLE PLAY UPDATE
Yesterday a Google Play Update hit the game. Version 1.12.0, nothing really sticks out. Just mainly patches, prep, clean up. I will pass on if anything else really stands out.
I have not yet seen one for iOS. Mine is still sitting on 1.11.5
TASK CHANGES
TinyCo is doing some “clean up” on Character Tasks for Peter & Quagmire. This is more to help remove Tasks that are not really necessary and more just taking up space on the Task list. Many were just temporary Tasks for Events, Districts, or other random things. The Tasks were only needed for that short moment and nothing further.
Basically, you may or may not even notice this happening. However, if you do run into a task NOT showing up from a Character that is needed to complete a standard questline when you reach the task trigger, please let us know so we can look into it.
Here is a list of Tasks that will be changed, removed, or just hidden until the Questline asks for it to temporarily appear.

- Try on Intimates – Intimate Apparel Peter

Again, some of these are there… but just not showing until they are needed. The rest will go away as they are not needed any further.
MR WEED
For many of you just now noticing, Mr. Weed showed up in the Lazarus Portal by mistake. He is not supposed to be there or be resurrected. This was a glitch. So for those of you that see him in there, just let him be for now. TinyCo is aware of this already and working to correct.
From what I can tell, he WILL be returning… just wasn’t supposed to be right now.
I do not have this issue in my game as I already own him, but please feel free to upload or email us a picture of your game showing him for others to see if they are running into same issue.

I also see many of you saying Zombies are back. No info confirmed just yet about it, but I assume that it has to do with Players stuck with Mr. Weed and impacting the rest of us too. Hang tight. Will Update if I hear more.

On a side note, I would LOVE to see some more silly screenshots of random moments or even staged ones in your game for our Caption This. (Not just a basic task visual.)
So if you see something funny or create a funny situation that you feel others could put a story to, send it in to us.

I was just wondering if anyone has noticed an increase in the cost of clams? I play in Europe so my prices are in euro but the cost for 600 clams has gone up by €6.98 which is fairly hefty in one go.

That is something to do with your region and usually an “Out of US Tax” I see on mainly iOS lines… like Apple Market

Thanks for the info. I did contact the company and they advised it was to correct for the changes in fx differences as the Euro has weakened against the dollar. I pointed out that their current pricing makes the dollar the stronger currency which is not currently accurate. However it could be a combo of the fx and the introduction of a tax like you mention. I’ll need to reign in my purchases anyway but really do appreciate your response. Thanks a million!!

Well thats not fair. I worked really hard and spent money to unlock mr weed because he was never going to be back. Wont be buying anymore clams from now on if temporary characters will just return one day.

I have managed to unlock Mr weed via the portal and roaming round my town doing tasks I set, didn’t have to unlock him by collecting stuff like the other ghosts

I am on iOS 9 on my iPad and I have zombies running around my town and see Mr. Weed as a character available in the portal but cannot get him yet.
I will just collect zombies until he is officially available.

Mr. Weed is roaming around with the zombies, I finished the quest line for new brian. I have spent 200 feet trying for Loretta and all I get are more zombies. Am I missing something or is it a glitch?

There are some major server issues going on in Virginia affecting the Amazon Web Services that are impacting on a lot of games etc which may be the reason why there are login issues with this one.

What’s going on with the game server? Having problems connecting and if lucky enough to get in, I’m disconnected and forced to redo all collections. Android ver 1.12.0.

Since the update I haven’t been able to log into my game 😦 I keep getting consuela telling me that she “cannot connect to server.” I’ve tried it on WiFi and data and turned them both off and then back on when it’s loading as per Bunny’s earlier suggestion but I still get the same message. And I’ve got 2.28GB free space. Anyone else experiencing this?

I’m having lots of trouble getting/staying connected to the servers. I’ve been trying over the past hour and 15 minutes and one time I was able to get in, but immediately was hit with the Consuela connection error window. I then found out there was an update for the Kindle version, but even after applying that, I was only able to get in for about 20 seconds before the game crashed out and now still cannot get into the game. Connection error message almost immediately after launching the game. Just an FYI for the other readers that might also be having trouble. M

Said update is what’s broken my game presumably? Cannot connect to server error popping up. Briefly managed to get on, now back to square one. Should have gone on latest WTD thread I know. But couldn’t find it. Worked fine yesterday and it’s not my net connection.
Tiny Co please, please beta test your updates more. This hasn’t happened in a while so you were doing well. This could of course be an unrelated game fault. But I put two and two together

Saw Mr Weed in the portal, but have only unlocked Paddy so far. A few body parts later, Mr Weed escaped the portal… Oops! Wasn’t aiming for him at all.
On a side note, the game can now not connect to the server. Doesn’t work on either device, but the Internet clearly is functioning. Are TinyCo performing some updates or something? Did Mr Weed break the game? How dare he! Or maybe the Huge die (German plural article) Boots literally kicked me out of the game!

Apparently, the update also rendered the game unplayable. At least on my latest version Android. I get a connection error as of 6:30 EST this morning 😨

I noticed Mr Weed in the Lazarus Portal. Spent a lot of zombie feet but didn’t unlock him and yet some of the zombies never spawned in my world. Wasted zombie feet for zombies that didn’t appear.

Sorry, in addition to my last post, Tapped Out also isn’t working. Perhaps they both have some sort of downtime or maintenance period every so often? My connection is fine, my other apps work.

Sorry, wasn’t really sure where to put this. I got into my game, and after I sent characters on tasks I went to add some clams for the Lois skin, I then got connect errors in my game just after I got ready to add them. Seemed to crash every time. Tried the usual tricks and nothing seemed to work, so it might be a problem on their end. All my other apps are fine.

Great game loving the beer theme got an issue though with ghost challenge (wanna fight about it part 3) I’ve completed 2 of the tasks but the 3rd on (collect from the southern fried father) won’t show as completed no matter how many times I collect from there

Are you sure you are collecting from the southern fried father and not just the regular one? Check your inventory to make sure. That is what happened to my husband 😃

I went through about 160 zombie feet. Did not resurrect Mr. Weed yet.. just gives 1 or 2 zombies each time so far.

I play on android and still have the Peter place golden pool task. They should either get rid of it or give us the pool.

You can go pick up an iOS device and complete it. If not, then message them from your game. They don’t just remove tasks that go with Characters in case Players are working on them. So message them. 😉

darn! I don’t have any zombies in my town, but I do have Mr. Weed in my portal. It looks like the screen shot above where it says there are no more zombies, and I do not have Mr. Weed in my game yet. My game did update to 1.12.0. If i have to stay home sick on a Saturday night, I want zombies!! *chuckle*

Others are unlocking him OK. Just make sure you report any issues to TinyCo. 😉

Hi. A friend of mine has not used her FG:QfS account in awhile, due to it not loading. Whenever she loads it, it says “loading, please wait.” She has waited up to a half hour and still nothing. Does it take long? Play store says there are no more updates for her. BTW, when I say “awhile” I mean months. However, she is STILL one of my neighbors I the game. Any fixes or suggestions short of contacting TinyCo?

Check the memory availability on the device, ensure the MAIN memory internally is at least 2GB of open space. Same with WiFi connection or lack there of, make sure it is running on a strong steady signal. Try to load it with the WiFi/Data turned off, then when Consuela pops up… connect back to the internet and see if it will kick it in.
What App Market? iOS, Google, Amazon?

Not on the list above (you may have it somewhere else though), but the zombies just returned to my town. I shouldn’t need them right now as I have mr. Weed and the only ghost I have yet to get is Loretta. And the only items I need for her are two of the blueberry things. It has been awhe since D11 was active so I don’t know if the zombies are needed for something elee

I just logged in and a bunch of zombies showed up (I’ve had all 3 ghosts for some time now).
I haven’t had a natural zombie spawn in since I spawned my final ghost.
(I do *not* have Mr Weeds.)

not only is mr weed in the portal,but i am now spawning zombies again. Im just going with it to see if i can snag mr weed. a good glitch is better than a bad one… i was also reimbursed very quickly for the 59 clams i mistakenly spent thinking i could resurrect mr weed that way. thanks tinyco!

Just noticed that the items you could purchase with the severed feet have returned. When I resurrected the 3rd character , the option to buy these things disappeared.
