DEATH AT THE DRIVE-IN PHASE 2 IS HERE!!!
EVENT ENDS THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5TH @3PM PACIFIC
- First up, you will have to be on Part 9 of Death at the Drive-in
- You will need to be at Scream Level 4 or Higher
- Play the New Event Phase to access ALL Content. With every new Event Phase there are “unlock points” for many items, so play through the Main Questline in order to see it all. I will Update Unlock points if any as I find them.
WARNING: There is another 24hr Timed Item in the Movie Projection Booth. This time it will be a Building Skin. Same kind of trigger point that the items BEFORE it once created will make it so the timer will start on the next tap in Booth. So if you are on a possible Timer Trigger for Slasher Cat’s 24hr timer… WATCH OUT. Don’t trigger that one either. This goes for Slasher Bait Lois, she is in the MOVIE PROJECTION BOOTH. So do not tap on her in the Menu or it will take you there.
Also, DO NOT REPAIR ESTHER’S CAR!! Not just yet anyway. It triggers Patty’s 7 Day Timer. So be prepared before jumping in.

When opening the game Connie will have a ! over her head. You can also just go tap on the Movie Screen to change the Movie to the New Phase Content and complete Part 9 of Death at the Drive-in Questline. You will also see Peter and Stewie now with a ! over their heads. (Not all Players will see the Questlines right off, it depends on WHO you already own)
Peter Starts the New Main Questline for the Event, Death at the Drive-In the Sequel… this also triggers the Vampires to start. Once you tap through Peter then will start another Questline, Meg Has a Friend… this will take you to Unlock Patty… so wait if you’re not ready, don’t start to repair the car just yet… SHE IS TIMED.
Connie Starts a Questline for her Witch Costume, Double, Double, Toil and Trouble
Stewie Starts a Questline for his Duck Costume, Scared Straight

Similar to the Launcher, placing this in the game will show a “Kill Zone Circle” around it. Once a Werewolf enters the Circle and turns PURPLE, tap the check mark to take them out.
Werewolves: You will start to see the details of the Werewolves when you reach A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 3, but the Werewolves won’t start to appear until A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 4. I got 3 right away.
Your Characters in the game will randomly turn into a Werewolf. This will NOT stop their timer if they are on a task, but you won’t be able to collect until you hit them with the Silver Cannon and turn them back to normal.
Characters that will become Werewolves: Quagmire, Mort, Bonnie, Joe, Connie, Brain, Carter, Stewie, Consuela, Cleveland, Jake, Buzz Killington, Kool-Aid Man, Snoop Dogg, Deadmau5, Weird Al
A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 4, you just tap on them and you will see the same screen like the Unholy Nuns along with WHO it is that is turned in the top Left Corner. You can put a Silver Cannon down at this time and wait til Werewolf is ready to be attacked. Remember PURPLE IS GOOD. Tap on the Check Mark when the Werewolf is going INTO the Kill Zone Circle and turns PURPLE.
Werewolves Payouts: The amounts paid out vary. It seems like I got 8-9 Sodas, but still testing it out.
VAMPIRES, BATS, AND GARLIC BOMBS
You will start to see Vampires Roaming your town now after starting Part 1 of Death at the Drive-in the Sequel. Tapping on them will turn them into Bats. But now, how to get rid of those Bats? Garlic of course!
VAMPIRE SPAWN: Watch your Movie Screen. Tapping on it will show you WHO pops out next, how many, and how long til that Spawn (right now Unholy Nuns & Vampires will swap as next Spawn)
HELP NOTE: Place TWO Squares of Road right at the Entrance to Event Area where the Nuns and Vampires come out. This will make it easier to keep them right there and tap them, then Bomb the Bats right away. 🙂
The Garlic Bomb Launcher Icon will show in your Lower Right Corner of the game as soon as you COMPLETE Part 1 of Death at the Drive-in the Sequel
Garlic Bomb Launcher: You will see a New Icon in your game for the Garlic Launcher. Tapping on it will pull up a screen similar to past events where anything in the “Cloud Path” of the bomb will be destroyed. So, MAZE TIME??!! (Still testing if they even stay anywhere, right now… NO 😦 More random like the Unholy Nuns, but if you wait… you can get more than one in an area. Especially if you do it AS SOON AS YOU TAP A VAMPIRE) You will want to make the most of each Garlic Bomb.
Garlic Bombs: Jerome OR Quagmire OR The Playground OR The Police Department OR Questline OR Buy Them
****The Bats break up after tapping a Vampire into groups of 2 or 3 Flocks of Bats Each. So you get roughly 2 or 3 Flocks of Bat groups from each Vampire tapped. Tapping on the Flocks of Bats WILL stop them for a few seconds and change their direction. So… you can keep tapping on a few to keep them in an area til you are ready.

I’ve gotten some garlic, but don’t see a garlic launcher anywhere. Do you have to do something to unlock that or where would I see it? I’ve got bats flying around, but can’t do anything to get rid of them!

This event is just not doing it for me. I do not like the nested levels of crafting and timers for half of the characters.

Ok, kinda worried here. Just went in to check out my conversion rate for the reels. It’s telling me that I need 60 popcorn AND 25 sodas for 12 reels (Scream Levels 4). There is no conversion for JUST popcorn. So I checked how to get Sodas and all I see is Mr. High Fructose, which is 250 clams. This can’t be right! Where else can we get sodas from? I won’t be able to progress any further if there isn’t a freemium option for the sodas. Currently working on Pumpkin tower and Slasher Cat reels. Working for 120 before buy the Pumpkins so I don’t have to worry about the timer. I have a little over half of the reels I need, but without the sodas I can’t get anymore. Help! Thank in advance!

I like phase 2 so far. Only issue I’ve had is my bats aren’t dropping anything. The first two flocks I hit dropped sodas and unicorn stickers the last two I hit didn’t drop anything.

Welp gonna be a pain to get movie reels now if the bats are only going to drop 1 soda per hit!!! At scream level 5 takes 27 sodas for 10 reels and the combo is 60 popcorn and 25 sodas for 12 reels… But again how come bats only drop 1 soda… Rate this is going won’t ever make any reels to unlock anything

Ok so now I am really confused. I was under the impression that Slasher Cat would be available until the end of the end of the event as long as I didn’t click on him to start the 24 hour timer. I was waiting to get 100 movie reels before I clicked him. I had 93! I would of had Slasher Cat yesterday had TinyCo not progressed me to level 5 so quickly and made me have to get 60 popcorn bags!! I am real upset now because I figured I would get Slasher Cat by today at least. Now it shows that he is “expired”.

I haven’t went into the projection booth yet, I’m too scared I’ll trigger something BUT I’m pretty sure that I will have the same slasher cat problem. I’ve been VERY careful NOT to trigger the timer while I was collecting the movie reels. Right before phase 2 was released I could still see him in the shopping cart, again, I was very careful to not touch his box. After the new phase was released and before I did the upgrade, he was gone from the shopping cart. I’m bummed. I’ve sent TinyCo a message in-game for clarification as I’m pretty sure that it said that he would be available until the end of the event, just timed.

So far, the only confirmed way of getting sodas is the Mr. High Fructose building (premium). I looked around the Drive-In and in the FAQ, but nothing states how soda is earned. Do we get soda from clearing bats and werewolves?

I just did an add up of all the movie reels needed to completely unlock all items from page two and the total is over 650! I know I am getting a LOT of Sodas from Werewolves. At least 8 Sodas each. Then Bats drop them too. Still working it all out.
No rest yet… want to get the Basics out first. Rest later. 😉

I kicked on the car repair before reading this page… Didn’t think that there would be any of those impossible ones right from the start. Now I really hope it is still possible to do within 7 days. At least I have the cat…

I have repair Esther’s Car but don’t have neither Pumpkin Tower or Slasher Cat. What should I do? It is possible to get Meg’s friend or better not to try?

If you do NOT have the Tower yet… you can pick and choose WHAT to get from the Booth. 🙂

Are you sure? I haven’t got the tower/cat yet and everything from the current week is showing as locked for me in the movie booth.
The fact they’d put a character on a timer with NO obvious in game warning is infuriating. You have seven days to effectively unlock all this weeks items and the drop rates so far aren’t great. I mean it’s 100 reels just for the Lou’s skin which you have to have for Patty. No doubt the others will be 20 each roughly, so I’ll just save for the Tower/Cat and work on death.
Thanks tinyco for making popcorn instantly worthless, surprise timed characters and this ridiculous system that punishes you for going up the scream levels.
Great idea for an event – terribly executed. Pandering to those with clams as ever.

They changed the concession stand requirements with the new update it’s now 27 sodas for 10reels or 25 sodas + 60 popcorn for 12reels. The 35+ for 5 reels is gone.
So popcorn is pretty useless now lol should have cashed it in before the update. 415 popcorn and can’t use it until I get a lot of soda

Just so people know if you haven’t finished phase 1 stuff on page 1 including slasher cat, you cannot start unlocking phase 2 items on page 2

curiousity killed the cat and that curiousity got the best of me as soon as LOL i dived right into this phase, went ahead repaired Esther’s car….SH**************** SOB%$#@#&\×/×*÷!!! i feel real dumb now, BUT i feel if i time all of this out correctly and play enough i may have that chance on still unlocking Patty!well TinyCo., you made me break down to buy some clams for the very first time in this event! Things are getting interested and i’m honestly lovin this event! it’s putting me in the Halloween spirit even more too!🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

I don’t have a garlic bomb launcher icon, I’m on Phase 2 and have a Garlic from the premium building, and have tapped on 2 vampires to turn them into bats, but have no way to clear them. 😦

Sorry, got to Pt 2 of the main questline and it appeared, but the payout for hitting the Flock of Bats really needs to be sorted, on my first attempt I only hit 1 and got 1 Soda from it, fair enough, then I hit 6 Flocks and only got 1 Soda! That’s ridiculous and is going to make the 652 Film Reels needed to get all prizes on Page 2 really hard!

I think the garlic launcher doesn’t appear until the quest that requires Peter’s 30sec “Scene of the Crime” task. The one that gives you 2 Garlic Bombs.
Speaking of, anyone else having an issue where bombing the bats gives you nothing?

If you don’t have the Tower… then you still don’t have a way to Trigger the Cat… so you can pick and choose what to get until you start that timer… Or pass on him. 🙂

Yeah, triggered Patty’s countdown. Not happy about the timer, but I really should know better by now.
So, popcorn for reels is gone unless you combine it with soda? Time to start calculating if getting Slasher Cat is possible, especially if I want Patty within the 7 day window.
Connie and Stewie quest lines…at least that’s something I can skip since I got them last year.

Sorry, should have been helpful. I’ve triggered Week 2 and am at Scream Level 5. To redeem reels, I can either a) trade 27 sodas for 10 reels, or b) trade 60 popcorn + 25 soda for 12 reels.
Seems worse than week one, since there’s no option to trade popcorn only and you need almost the same amount of sodas with the popcorn for barely any more reels.

Never got to unlock the slasher cat. unless it’s still there. All I know is the popcorn I earned (ie claimed after leveling up the movie) to get film reels are pretty much pointless now. Whatever, keeping my focus on trying to unlock Death, The rest is junk to me.
