DEATH AT THE DRIVE-IN PHASE 2 IS HERE!!!
EVENT ENDS THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5TH @3PM PACIFIC
- First up, you will have to be on Part 9 of Death at the Drive-in
- You will need to be at Scream Level 4 or Higher
- Play the New Event Phase to access ALL Content. With every new Event Phase there are “unlock points” for many items, so play through the Main Questline in order to see it all. I will Update Unlock points if any as I find them.
WARNING: There is another 24hr Timed Item in the Movie Projection Booth. This time it will be a Building Skin. Same kind of trigger point that the items BEFORE it once created will make it so the timer will start on the next tap in Booth. So if you are on a possible Timer Trigger for Slasher Cat’s 24hr timer… WATCH OUT. Don’t trigger that one either. This goes for Slasher Bait Lois, she is in the MOVIE PROJECTION BOOTH. So do not tap on her in the Menu or it will take you there.
Also, DO NOT REPAIR ESTHER’S CAR!! Not just yet anyway. It triggers Patty’s 7 Day Timer. So be prepared before jumping in.

When opening the game Connie will have a ! over her head. You can also just go tap on the Movie Screen to change the Movie to the New Phase Content and complete Part 9 of Death at the Drive-in Questline. You will also see Peter and Stewie now with a ! over their heads. (Not all Players will see the Questlines right off, it depends on WHO you already own)
Peter Starts the New Main Questline for the Event, Death at the Drive-In the Sequel… this also triggers the Vampires to start. Once you tap through Peter then will start another Questline, Meg Has a Friend… this will take you to Unlock Patty… so wait if you’re not ready, don’t start to repair the car just yet… SHE IS TIMED.
Connie Starts a Questline for her Witch Costume, Double, Double, Toil and Trouble
Stewie Starts a Questline for his Duck Costume, Scared Straight
Again… they will vary on what YOU have in your game and what Questlines you may have already triggered last year.

Similar to the Launcher, placing this in the game will show a “Kill Zone Circle” around it. Once a Werewolf enters the Circle and turns PURPLE, tap the check mark to take them out.
Werewolves: You will start to see the details of the Werewolves when you reach A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 3, but the Werewolves won’t start to appear until A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 4. I got 3 right away.
Your Characters in the game will randomly turn into a Werewolf. This will NOT stop their timer if they are on a task, but you won’t be able to collect until you hit them with the Silver Cannon and turn them back to normal.
Characters that will become Werewolves: Quagmire, Mort, Bonnie, Joe, Connie, Brain, Carter, Stewie, Consuela, Cleveland, Jake, Buzz Killington, Kool-Aid Man, Snoop Dogg, Deadmau5, Weird Al
A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 4, you just tap on them and you will see the same screen like the Unholy Nuns along with WHO it is that is turned in the top Left Corner. You can put a Silver Cannon down at this time and wait til Werewolf is ready to be attacked. Remember PURPLE IS GOOD. Tap on the Check Mark when the Werewolf is going INTO the Kill Zone Circle and turns PURPLE.
Werewolves Payouts: The amounts paid out vary. It seems like I got 8-9 Sodas, but still testing it out.
VAMPIRES, BATS, AND GARLIC BOMBS
You will start to see Vampires Roaming your town now after starting Part 1 of Death at the Drive-in the Sequel. Tapping on them will turn them into Bats. But now, how to get rid of those Bats? Garlic of course!
VAMPIRE SPAWN: Watch your Movie Screen. Tapping on it will show you WHO pops out next, how many, and how long til that Spawn (right now Unholy Nuns & Vampires will swap as next Spawn)
HELP NOTE: Place TWO Squares of Road right at the Entrance to Event Area where the Nuns and Vampires come out. This will make it easier to keep them right there and tap them, then Bomb the Bats right away. 🙂
The Garlic Bomb Launcher Icon will show in your Lower Right Corner of the game as soon as you COMPLETE Part 1 of Death at the Drive-in the Sequel
Garlic Bomb Launcher: You will see a New Icon in your game for the Garlic Launcher. Tapping on it will pull up a screen similar to past events where anything in the “Cloud Path” of the bomb will be destroyed. So, MAZE TIME??!! (Still testing if they even stay anywhere, right now… NO 😦 More random like the Unholy Nuns, but if you wait… you can get more than one in an area. Especially if you do it AS SOON AS YOU TAP A VAMPIRE) You will want to make the most of each Garlic Bomb.
Garlic Bombs: Jerome OR Quagmire OR The Playground OR The Police Department OR Questline OR Buy Them
****The Bats break up after tapping a Vampire into groups of 2 or 3 Flocks of Bats Each. So you get roughly 2 or 3 Flocks of Bat groups from each Vampire tapped. Tapping on the Flocks of Bats WILL stop them for a few seconds and change their direction. So… you can keep tapping on a few to keep them in an area til you are ready.

If you don’t tap the car to trigger the 7 day timer on Ester, how do you start collecting the materials for her? I don’t see anything that offers those items required for her. and you need slasher bait Lois to get her and she costs 100 reels. So I’m torn on weather I should still go for Slasher Cat.. Because while I was hoping phase 2 would make it easier to get more reels since the amount of popcorns went up so much, it is not easier. It’s harder. We only get 1 soda and not even every time. I’ve hit the bats with garlic 6 times and only received 1 soda. I’ll never get the more than 650 reels needed for all the page 2 content in the projection booth (from the comments I’ve read, that seems to be the amount needed) PLUS the 100 reels for Slasher Cat. This phase 2 has me super overwhelmed. And confused 😕

My clam TV has always been in the Griffins’ front yard, but there’s a road right in front of the house. People are going to love this if it’s gone universal! It’s been working splendidly on my iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3, no remaining glitches. I’ve been picking up six clams a day from it.

I’m trying to use the garlic on bats, but as Soon as I hit the Shoot button, the game Just zooms in and nothing happen…. no bats killed, And I’m stuck with the aiming icone that moves randomly.
I don’t understand if I’m supposed to do something or Not xD

So, to unlock Patty you have a 7 day timer. You NEED to have Lois’ new costume, which is aaaaaaaaaaallllll the way at the bottom of week’s 2 rewards. Don’t start Patty’s timer till you are at least half way there xD

Yep got Clam Tv too, got 2 free Clams! This week looks like it’s going to be very difficult, as I started on Screm Level 8 it costs me 45 Soda & 130 Popcorn for 12 Film Reels, and 50 Soda for 10 Reels, I’ll hold of venting on this until after the weekend so I can get an idea of how many Reels I can get every few days, seen as how Phase 2 has only been live for only a few hours, hopefully my worries about not being able to get enough Reels will be proven wrong, but I still think it’s a bad idea to increase the amounts needed for the trade in this way.

Anyone gotten any sodas yet? I’ve bombed 4 flocks of bats and have zero sodas and it says they’re “always.” Also, already clicked on Patty so it looks like I won’t be getting her…100 “rare” unicorn stickers that only come from bombing bats. I got 1 from 4 bombings.
I feel like there’s just too much going on. You have to collect for death and patty plus collect garlic and popcorn and sodas as well as silver cannon balls and it’s just not spread out enough between the characters.
It’s becoming that you can’t complete events without spending a large amount of clams. I usually spend about $10 on clams per event but that doesn’t even get it done.

Well going into phase 2 without yet having slasher cat and making nuns virtually useless was a mistake. Also, sodas from vampires are completely random, often yielding none despite it saying always. Which slows my reels progress even further. Also, I don’t know if you mentioned it but all the halloween costumes and characters from the event last year now have tasks to earn 3d glasses.

I keep looking at this terrific info Bunny has provided us and the only thing you can do to prepare for Patty is build up an arsenal of garlic to bomb the bats and continue to collect reels since you need 144 to get to the library. I would say once you are comfortable with those totals, you could start her timer. You can’t start collecting for her until you unlock her so if you want to be bombing bats for soda, you may always get her rare drops started as well.
Anyone have any other thoughts?

Lost my ability to place anything in inventory with the new phase, brought out Connie and Stewie to see if they had tasks since they get costumes (of course they don’t) and the arrow to place them back in inventory is gone. Playing on FB, will double check on Android. Currently 27 sodas for 10 reels and 60 popcorn and 25 sodas for 12, scream level 5.

They both have tasks that earn 3D glasses, you just have to put them in their Halloween costumes. Also a lot of the past ghosts have tasks for 3D glasses.

I built a maze and it does work as long as you wait to tap the vampires. When a few are on your little strip of road, tap and when bats appear they will follow maze out. Arm up the garlic and fire! Hope this helps.

Oh, and just to be clear, on the three sets of bats I’ve taken out so far, no payout at all for two of them, one unicorn sticker for the third flock.

So I’m at the tail end of scream level 4, and it’s requiring 27 sodas for 10 reels or 60 Popcorn plus 25 sodas for 12 reels. The option to just do Popcorn for reels isis just gone now, only sodas which can be gotten by clearing flocks of bats (I’ve cleared 3 so far and not a single soda in return, or from turning werewolves back into normal characters (I have none available yet) all of this when I was finally just 15 reels away from slasher cat. Wish I hadn’t been forcefully upgraded this morning to the new movie. Will definitely add this to the next what the deuce!

1) Possible bug/glitch? I found at least three characters — Carter, Consuela and Kool-Aid Man — who can not be put into storage. The ‘store me’ buttons on their actions screens have disappeared.
2) Props to Tinyco that they have given past Halloween characters (e.g. Witch Connie, Alien, etc) event-related tasks.
2a) BUT regular Meg and Slutty Cat Meg both have tasks to produce the same thing (3D glasses), where Meg’s Halloween costume takes twice as long as regular Meg to get the same thing. That is the opposite of what makes sense.
3) I honestly feel that I should give up on getting Patty right now. Unfortunately, I read the warnings on your site after building her car. Given how badly they’ve managed the first week of the event, I am still a couple days behind where they apparently expect me to be. (I play at least 5 times a day, and still don’t have enough film reels to unlock Slasher Cat, and since I have to wait on getting the pumpkin tower to avoid triggering the Slasher Cat countdown timer, I still lack 15 RARE Brimstones for Death, among other things.)
Seriously, their changes to week one are too little, too late. And those not-nearly-enough fixes are now largely irrelevant, given that popcorn is no longer the primary producer of film reels.
If anyone at TinyCo is listening/reading, please get your stuff together. I’m not having fun, and I’m pretty close to writing off the rest of the event.

I haven’t started the new stuff yet, still in Phase 1 busily melting nuns for the last 30 reels to get the overgrown Cat and don’t want the complications until I’m done. Also will let you all find the glitches first…. But noticed Peter and Lois have a much more extensive animation now (combination of violent and sweet) when he saves her from the Cat. He now really bashes that poor feline but cuddles with Lois at the end before they go their separate ways.
I noticed the new drops for 3D glasses and garlic bulbs. Have to hold off on getting the glasses because they need the movie house, which I stored to avoid getting to level 5 (drops huge gobs of cleavers) and paying 60 popcorns for 5 reels. I thought the garlic bulbs were pale pumpkins (ghostly vegetables)….

Firstly, I wanted to say that I, too, have a tv in my game. That was a welcome addition. Secondly, I want to say how bummed I am that the popcorn for movie reels got replaced with much harder things to earn, haha! Why not just keep the popcorn for 5 reels and ADD the other things for 10 or 12 reels. Sheesh, this game…must….keep…..tapping!

I had been saving up reels to unlcock the Slasher cat (timer hadn’t started yet). I’ve been in the updated projection booth and didn’t see Slasher cat. Have I missed the opportunity to get him?

He is on Page 1… hit the NEXT arrow in the screen… watch the timer if you triggered it.

I checked, he is still triggered as soon as you go into projection booth (I went to page 1 for the first time and he had 19 hours left)

I already posted it to TinyCo, but maybe someone has the same problem or a hint: I was pulling out all standard characters and the ones from last Halloween to check their tasks which will drop something. So most skins and characters from last Halloween will drop 3d glasses … Very well, now I wanted to put those back into the inventory which doesn’t drop any and I discovered I can’t put Consuela and pewterschmid back. It might happen to other characters too but they can luckily be used to drop something.
Any help?

Got an answer from TinyCo, that you can’t store certain characters is intentional since they will be needed in the event.
*Sigh* now I have to assign them short tasks all through the next 5 week until they will be useful 😦

Not seeing the garlic bomb meter. Do you have to have garlic first? Shouldn’t need mazes, since the bats are stunnable, and a lot slower than Minion Stewies were…

Tinyco should have called the car 7 day to unlock party car. I didnt realise there was a timer. Now I need to get alot of film things to get to slasherbait Lois.

I’m way confused now, there are way too many things to keep track of (especially all these new timer triggers). You can’t trade the popcorn in anymore for film reels now that phase 2 started and I was so close to getting slasher cat. It seems it will take awhile to collect enough soda to get film reels, unless I’m missing something? Also, don’t see a clam tv in my game. Thanks bunny, great website though.

Check the closest road to the Griffins for it. If your roads are hidden, move some stuff to see them. Soda will be main source now… options to get it listed in the post. 🙂

No stats on Spawns. Testing it but that takes time. Most likely the standard of Spawn between every 3-6hrs

They spawn from movie house, looks like every 2-3 hours, nuns spawn then vampires spawn alternatively. Nuns timer is 1 hr 18 for the spawn then similar for the vampires. I’ve caught them twice leaving the movie screen, tap vampires immediately, wait for bats to reach front clustered together and launch garlic, got 8 each time, got 6 sodas from those 2 bombings. Hope this helps.

I am having the hardest time figuring out how to get the soda without purchasing “Mr. High Fructose.” I haven’t had any werewolves appear yet, but when I bomb the Vampire bats, they’re only dropping the Unicorn Sticker (tapped on the stolen car too soon, whoops!) Is anyone else having this issue?

Already glitches noted. And Tony Co. has been informed. When clearing the flock of bats it is not always giving sodas at the moment. Cleared 9 flocks and only got 3 sodas.

Opened the Mystery Box twice, got the Griffin Halloween skin, I wish it earned currency and scream points. To me, it is a waste of clams. It is very basic and I would not have spent the money. I have received several items first or second try with other boxes, so it’s not too bad to get a bit of a dud here. I then got the Ghostbuster Cleveland skin. I wish I had been on for Halloween last year, it looked great. I joined right at the end. I am tempted to go again for the Ghostbusters Headquarters or other skins(Witch Connie, Vampire Duck Stewie and Ghostbuster Joe) but I may leave it. I can afford one more and I’m guessing Stewie will give a mystery box. I would like to get more from last year. I don’t really want to add any clams but I found out I have a bit more money than expected, so if there were some good items, I could buy them.

Woot! Just got Vampire Duck Stewie! I am tempted to get more if I get more clams, lots of the items from last year looked great! I am enjoying this one a bit more, but because the updates have hit so late for the UK, and I had to miss the first weekend, I am quite far behind. Thanks to you though, I know when to save materials for timed challenges etc..

Which I would have know about the timer on the car and that I needed to get slasher bait Louis before I started the car. So I guess I messed up and now won’t be getting paddy. I don’t even have the pumpkin tree and slasher cat. Not even started the second page.

You don’t HAVE to get them to open page 2. Just be in Phase 2 content. If no Tower Placed… timer wont start on Slasher Cat and you can use the Reels for whatever you want.

Anyone else having an issue with the garlic bombs? I choose to shoot them, and the crosshair just hovers around the screen but never fires. I’ve restarted the game several times now and no change.

Try some basics for crashing and lagging and contact them if continues. I have shot a ton now.

Started week 2 accidentally by clicking on the film.. Consession stand only offers 10 reels for 27 sodas, 12 reels for 60 popcorn and 25 sodas .. No option for 5 reels for 60 popcorn anymore .. Which means there is no way for me to get the 11 reels I need for slasher cat in 23 hrs
