Phase 3 is now live in our games! WOOHOO! With it we will get more fun Characters, Buildings, and additional options of things to do.

First up, the Basic Requirements…
- Players will need to have reached Honor Point Level 8 and complete Twice Upon a Time Pt. 9
- Players will need to be on at least Version 1.19.0 in the App Markets, so if you are not… go download it
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s completed
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version, not Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
- Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. So if you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some there to make room.

The Rodents of Unusual Size appear in the game as soon as you start into Phase 3, Thrice Upon a Time Part 1. They will spawn and roam around much like the Mort Trolls. In order to clear them, you must first Unlock Little Red Riding Hood Stewie as he is the only one so far that can.

We now have another item for the Princesses dropping from the Dragons. I will go into more detail on this and each of the Dragon payouts I now see in a separate post.
To give you an idea, the Bright Blue Dragon at 1X Level (2 Fireball Potions) paid out 2 Scepters along with the other items. Just a side note, I do not see the Magic Beans paying out in large amounts anymore in my game. I also have all the Boogers, Dragon Scales, and Princess Hats I need, so I do not see drops for any of them anymore from my Dragons. Feel free to share what you see in the comments on the drops as of Phase 3 for any of those items.
Here are my results for the first 2 Dragons I saw, as noted in the Dragon post… the Black elusive Dragon (it actually is more Dark Blue) still has not showed up in my game as of yet so I don’t have those details. The Potions WILL vary each time too in what one will be required.

ALL Event items go with the Event. The Character must be live and walking your game in order to keep them as all those Materials you earn to unlock them are Event Only too and go when the Event ends.

I haven’the been able to get Sapphire eggs for a few tries now. Wesley now has a question needing get Tom Tucker. I’ll never finish that in time since I just started playing this year and haven’t unlocked Tom’so area yet. At least I got a Wesley of my very own now! I’m a big Princess Bride fan.

I’m trying to unlock Morts bride and every time I defeat the dragon and get a bunch of sapphire eggs they disappear…so when I go to unlock the bridge it says I only have 1 sapphire egg. Where do they go?!

I’m not using them for anything, at least that I know of. When I collect them nothing shows up on the right to show what they could be used for. Right after I collect them I go to whatever I’m trying to unlock/buy it’ll say I only have 1 egg 😩

My next question would be this… are you sure you’re seeing Sapphire Eggs? I think you’re seeing the Dragon Scales as last time I checked… no eggs like that ever dropped from a Dragon.

Doesn’t matter, they are auto linked to the Dragon for ALL Players. You will still see them drop along with all other items from the Dragons probably until the Event ends. It is more in coding. Some things are linked to YOUR play and progress. Others to everyone that plays.

Anyone else having issues with the Party Balls dropping? I’ve had the Entrance to the Pit Of Despair for about 4 days now and have collected from it regularly, and have yet to have a single party ball drop. It’s the only thing I need for little red riding hood Stewie.

Anyone have a combo for getting picnic baskets? I’ve tried just about all of them and after nine tries have come up empty. Feels like week one with swords all over again.

It really just varies. I never found a “guaranteed to win” combo with them either.

No combo needed. Send 1 character and when he is finished training if you didn’t get the picnic baskets don’t press the “claim” button. Instead, close and reload the game. Go back to the training area and click the check mark over the character’s head again. The drop will have reset. It may take a few attempts but it WILL work, I got all my baskets this way and I am loading up on green and blue eggs too. For me, I only used Joe, and it usually took about 7-10 reloads to get the baskets. So for less than 10 mins of work each time I was guaranteed to get the drop I wanted, eventually.

Dark blue dragon rocked up (light blue belly). For 1 X reward needed 5 Earth potions (reward 130 beans, 3 boogers, 2 scales). Fortunately just unlocked giant Chris so don’t need dragon in immediate future so will let die off.
The cost seemed pretty high for 1 x reward tho.

The other night after unlocking Westley and receiving a new dragon, I noticed I lost all of the Earth potions I had Sir Peter build, not many…just 2 or 3 🙂
Trouble was I needed earth potions!!!
Is there a way you can send a note to the developers and ask if they could possibly put a counter up for the potions. It sucks not being able to see how many we’ve made until the dragons show up. With everything else going on I easily lose track of things.
I’m asking you to do it only because I’m tired of reaching out to TinyCo just to get back a reply saying to type above this line which I do and get the same message again. I have no idea how that system even works now.
If there’s anyway else I can reach out to them beside email or Facebook, I will.

I have asked and did pass on Player’s requests for it. Thing is… it is not just a simple task to re-code an entire section/counter of an Event overnight. Not like they can just push a button. 😉

This happens every event- something crucial needs a counter but doesn’t have one. They need to get a universal template going for it. Operating blind is no fun… If they can set up counters for other things, they can set up counters for the rest. It is not impossible. I’ve done some programming myself. Computers love numbers and counting! It’s in their blood, er, electrons. Somebody just goofed initially setting up the code and they haven’t fixed it yet. So the right people need to be told to just do it…. If not for the current event, for ones coming up. Hope you’ve been able to contact the right people who can light a fire under the other right people.:)

It’s more “where can we fit it” then anything. I’m thinking they assumed we wouldn’t be letting the Dragons die off so often and this not the need for one in the other screen.

This is the first event I have seen an “issue” with it. In the past, the Character was only in cool down for 4hrs so it didn’t really matter to many. I think due to the HUGE respawn time, this is the first time we need it on both screens.

Heads up folks, I just learned that the bazaar items that claim “drops 2” does not mean they actually drop 2, just that they CAN drop two. I noticed that my buildings were not dropping 2 of the cloaks, henbane or ball parts, just one, and wrote them and they said drops are random. when I responded I know drops are usually random, but I assumed that when they did drop, they would drop two at a time, they came back with, “they can drop 2 at a time, but it is random. Sorry for the confusion” *chuckle*

I just got 1 party ball from the pit of despair. Same thing with true loves (I think that’s what it was). They dropped 1 at a time for the first day, then 2 at a time.

I didn’t get it (the party ball) when I placed it. It was on the 3rd or 4th collection from it. Just need 2 total, so hope it doesn’t take too long. I think 1 party ball is more than enough for me, anyways. I’m not 21 anymore. 🍻😛

I should clarify… the first time it drops (as that varies on the “Chance” ratio) I see one… then 2 from that point on. Very odd it does it that way, but that’s what I have seen.

Gotcha. Well, only need 1 more so not going to be able to test it now. I know with the true loves it dropped 1 at a time for the first day, 3 total, and I thought it was only suppose to drop 1 at a time. Then when 2 popped out I double-checked here and saw I should have been getting 2 all along.BTW, neither of these things bother me. No, I don’t like it but just letting you know in case others are having the same problem. Then you can say X number of players are seeing this.

The message isn’t there anymore, but I kept getting one wolfbane drop from the Sweet Tooth and one cloak from the big bad cave, and then I would get two, then one, it seemed to alternate, but I did not get two each drop.
The latest is they reversed the results of a dragon drop, and added back scepters that had been wiped out. last night I needed 5 scepters to finish off Lois, and spent clams to buy potions to defeat level 5 of the dark blue dragon, and it wiped out the 5 I needed for Lois, and took out 23 from Buttercup, and I just checked now and they were all added back! That was lovely. I wrote them, but I am not expecting much based on past interactions.

In regards to the items not at where you left them… I wonder if that was a sync issue. Watch for those. If you notice sync issues from leaving the game and returning… use some steps to help out with memory drain like listed in my “Crashing” link.
Usually I recommend visiting Ollie’s just prior to closing out the game to just ensure it did sync your progress.

This Easter egg hunt is no fun at all. I’m going to focus on potions for dragon attacks. That part has been enjoyable.
Having an army of Fluffy Sheep and Smoking Trees guarding my castle wall is intimidating. No one is coming on my lawn.

I mean it looks like phase 3 have nothing much to offer and that I could afford to wait a little. That is up to you on how much behind you want to stay. If the amount of Beans you get from the Dragon will be worth it to you, than go ahead. Just depends on how you play mainly. Plus side is Mort Trolls are coming along faster and in more groups it seems. So the Golden Eggs may be easier to obtain by them. Really all in how you play the game.

Funny thing is I update the gate but just buying the cottage to advance is the only thing I have to go to phase 3 so yes I already got the fast moving mort and I got an insane amount of golden egg. I only need the sapphire ones but I don’t think it matters if I stay in phase two cuz I also have the option of jousting too. I mean I got everything in phase 3 except the stuff in the bazar haven’t showed up cuz I’m not in 3 yet. I guess I’ll stay for a few days cuz I don’t have a sapphire egg to get red riding Stewie yet so it wouldn’t matter

I feel like I’m eons away from unlocking Giant Chris, and the Princesses seem like a pipe dream. So I’m trying to focus on enjoying the spectacular artwork/design that’s gone into this event. The dragons are gorgeous, and I love all the detail on and around the castle! Those thorny vines curling around the walls, the rose-garnished towers, the adorable animated sheep, the training areas, the golden goose and his feathered friends (yes, I bought all 3 so far – I was not getting any sapphire eggs to drop from the wrestling) straining to drop an egg…. I am going to be seriously heartbroken when this event ends!

I also bought the egg producing birds, and will buy next weeks if there is one. And sheep – I love the sheep, hope they release some cows also. But yes the imagery is excellent, by far my most favourite event – hope they make a part 2 at some point like star trek got.

I just heard back from TinyCo if you were waiting for a dragon to respawn when the update came up about an hour ago, reloading will not get you a new dragon- you will have to wait for the programing timer to count down as usual.

Where did the potions needed numbers come from… First fight 5 Fire, second fight 10 earth, 3rd fight 19 fire, 4th fight 37 lightning, 5th fight 72 earth… is what we are dealing with right now… not the amounts listed.

Wow the mort trolls have gotten much faster this phase. Not only that but at least in my game they have been appearing wayy more often. Works great for me as I have had quite a bit of the sprays stacked up. I also like the faster speed as it takes less time to gather them up 🙂

I’ve beaten the dragon twice within phase 3 and still no scepters. They don’t even appear as rewards. Already sent TinyCo a message about this. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes. Others reported it. I did too and in my game one that JUST appeared (Bright Blue) has none showing so I sent a follow-up with the image. They can poke around in my game.

I contacted TinyCo and they responded everything was working fine just keep trying. I beat one dragon with the five separate attacks and got nothing. I am fully into phase 3, so does this mean the scepters are extra rare or something?

Always. The current Dragon is already set with items at the time of its release. So if you started Thrice Upon a Time AFTER it showed up… no Scepter will show.

Yes I was I phase 3 when it went live. The dragon showed up around 1am. Not sure if this is intentional or not. The pay out for fight 3 only shows 720 beans and no scepters. Still have not heard back from them.

TC just responded and said they are working on correcting the issue. I was given 6 scepters so i guess for the black dragon you get 3 for battle 1 and 2.

Last phase I had no dragon showing up when the new phase hit. The first new dragon to appear thus did not drop the new item for that week the “boogers,” but the next one did. Thus I believe if you are already waiting for a dragon when the new phase arrives, the dragon you are waiting for will still be from the old phase. Hope that made sense to anyone 😛

I always warn on Mystery Boxes. They’re nothing but chance. My question would be this… are you SURE you didn’t get him? Did you check your Inventory Storage under the Event Tab? Did you tap on the “Prizes” option and still see him in there?

If you have insanely bad luck with the boxes I would suggest contacting TinyCo to ask for a partial refund. This happened to me once with Borg Consuela and they did offer me a pretty nice partial refund of at least around 1k clams I don’t remember the exact amount. They do want to keep the high premium players happy in a sense so its worth a try.

I didn’t know where to post this, but I thought it might be helpful to other FGTQFS players.
A friend of mine took my iPhone today, made a few simple (and easily reversable) system changes and reduced the graphical overhead to make my phone work faster. It loaded FGTQFS faster and there was less lag playing the game. I later repeated this on my ipod touch and ipad Air 2, and it worked for them too – all of them worked faster then before.
To do to it, make sure you are up to date on the current iOS, then go to Settings, General – open Accessibility and turn on Reduce Motion. Then go back to Accessibility, tap Assistive Touch, and turn it on — this move will place a virtual home button on your screen.
Now go to your main home screen, tap on the virtual Assistive Touch home button and drag it down to the bottom right corner of your display.
The next step will require a little bit of repetition. Swipe down from the middle of the screen to bring up Spotlight Search. This action will move the Assistive Touch button above the keyboard. Tap the middle of the screen so you close Spotlight Search. Repeat this sequence until Spotlight Search starts appearing faster than before. For me, 10 to 15 times tops did the trick. This process reduces the animation more then just the Reduce Motion does.
You can turn off the Assitive Touch when you are finished, but need to leave Reduce Motion on.
If you find you don’t like it? Turn off Reduce Motion, and restart you device, it’s back to it’s original normal settings. Wish I had this going during the Christmas event as it would have helped with the snow special effects.

Is the reason we’re not seeing the black dragon in the battles because it’s the reward at the end of the four 24-hour challenges? It says to complete all to “unlock the black dragon.” Someone else will have to tell me as there is NO WAY I’ll get to that point by the end of this event. 🙂

Two completely separate items. One is most likely a Decoration.
The other is one that you throw potions at to get prizes.

I have a black dragon, you can have mine if you want. The fist attack is 5 lightning potions. I am still trying to finish week 2. I’m still grinding on those potions though.

Found a trick for gathering Mort Trolls, which helps with their new mall-walker speed, tap a troll and he halts, as they get really close to each other, keep trapping them near each other with taps, get a bunch together and flash ’em!

You might want to try flash banging them when they first spawn. Whenever I first log in I go to my one plot of street immediately to see if they spawn than I bomb it and clear quahog immediately of all trolls

I just noticed that the smoking tree also gives 80 HP, and it gave me 2 clams…1 was for reaching Honor Level 11, not sure why I got the other one…

I bought Westley today for 36 clams. Have no harps for Chris but close with everything else. Barely started the phase two quest line though.
This event is really strange, because it’s slow and so I’m able to get everything slowly but steadily, yet at the same time I’m still falling seemingly behind.

No, its bad when you’re closer to unlocking Giant Chris than Westley. Whoever thought 32 Scales was a reasonable number is a sadist.

If we had been able to unlock Sir Peter early it might have been ok, I should unlock Giant Chris and Westley around the same time, at the end of next week. Then I can finish the week 2 quests.

You are supposed to finish Westley before Giant Chris so that’s normal… I just got Westley yesterday and hopefully should get Giant Chris the next time the dragon pops up – and then I can finally progress to phase three!

Heard any chatter about adjustments to sapphire egg availability? I’m stuck on phase two part 5 (4? 6?) which requires the bridge decoration because I’ve only had one sapphire egg drop since Sunday morning. I sent a note in to TinyCo because I don’t want to do anything rash with clams only to have them tweak or add something (like with the HP levels), but your walk through clued me in that I’ll need the 2 eggs for the bridge plus another two for a building in order to progress through the questline. Thanks for the heads up!

I’ve sent Peter 6 times now to try for one Sapphire egg and still have not gotten one yet at all.
Basically the game has me stuck in phase two and I see no way to get caught up at all without large clam usage.
Most of my dragon spawns since phase two started have been the ones that need large amounts of potions so my dragon scale count towards Wesley is a bit farther than halfway and I don’t see getting him anytime soon either. Not to mention the long waits in between spawns.
I was excited to see this event at the start but now with the game itself holding me back, it’s just not worth the amount of clams I would need to use just to catch up.
I wish everyone else better luck than mine on drops! Happy trails.

This is also going to be an issue with Emerald Eggs this week. I find it interesting the cost of the deco that drops them increases, but so does the time. Sixteen hours for one egg?!? Plus, now you basically have to choose whether to use characters to get stick horses or potions. Surely a coincidence you can now purchase potions in packs of 9.

They seem to be stumbling around much faster now, unless I’m imagining things… And did anyone else have a bunch of “Exclamation marks” appear above the castle gates that simply disappeared when tapped? They didn’t seem to give me anything or pop up any nessages.

I think the exclamation mark above the castle gates are for ‘increasing strength of your gates’ which is the last task required to complete week two’s content. The same thing happened last week if I recall correctly.

That could be… I was just a bit surprised that there was no “pop-up” telling me what happened. And if I tap the gates, it just says “You have reached all the requirements to re-inforce your castle gates. Hold steady until next week to upgrade.” How do I know what level of “re-inforcement” I am at?

As long as the new Questlines keep appearing, you’re on the right track. The “reinforcement” is more the Level HP you’re on. So at least Level 4 HP for Phase 2 and Level 8 HP now for access to Phase 3.

I see most of it, but not the new bazaar page. I think I am not finished with the questline, the egg business has been slow, still waiting on the last one for the Miracle Max house. Bought Inigo though. This event is going to ruin me… Excellent excuse to watch the movie again last weekend. Twice 🙂

My biggest hold up on getting to phase 3 is the main quest line. It’s requiring me to get the buildings with the sapphire eggs and for that I need to do wrestling training. Even with all available characters working towards the gauntlet task 24/7 I can only send sir Peter to wrestle on average once every 3 days. So that’s one sapphire egg every 3 days assuming I get one every single time I send him wrestling. This is a huge bottleneck for me. I’ve already got Westley and everything but the harps for giant Chris and all the rest of phase 2 done and I’m already on honor level 9, so being forced to spend my sapphire eggs on the Mort bridge for the quest line and now this bread dropping building when I don’t even need bread for giant Chris anymore is a bummer. Hopefully I’ll get to phase 3 soon… Thanks for all the info Bunny!

I have the same issue three days with the wrestling task not dropping sapphire eggs I have zero😒 finally collected all the gauntlets to try again and I got a ‘Lightning sand’ deco‽‽ 😡I was beyond furious and miserable with zero Sapphire eggs and zero gauntlets starting all over again!🔥

Sheep seem to be a very good buy, if you have lots of beans 7 sheep at 80 beans each were enough to raise me a whole HP and they are really cute.

I bought one! But only one since I didn’t want to use up my beans and since it’s a deco that doesn’t pay out beans or hp AND since no hp was given for placing it.
Has anyone else’s Troll Morts sped up? Mine starting walking around a lot more quickly! Excited about that too! Can’t wait to fully unlock phase three – I’m still progressing through quest line since you have to unlock both Chris the Giant and Westley (he was REALLY a grind). On part six right now, and will hopefully finish up part 9 in the morning! 🙂

Yes, noticed my Troll Morts have sped up too – it actually helped me. They ALL (think there were eight) speed walked into the crosshairs and the flashbang hit all of them. I got tons more beans than normal and two golden eggs! 🙂
