The Week 3 Challenge has now arrived in our games to bring us some more Castle additions. Take a look below to see what all you will run into for this weeks Challenge. Hope you all remembered to change your clocks yesterday (to those that applied in the U.S. anyway).

CASTLE GATES CHALLENGE- 7 DAYS TIMED
Again, not everyone may see the Challenges. Usually only Premium Players as you may run into the need to send Clams to complete them. You will know if you get the Challenges by checking your Event Menu (the Honor Point Icon, lower right). If you see 5 Tab options to the Left when the Event Hub Menu opens, specifically the one with the swords crossed, then you will see the Challenges. If you only see 4 Tab Options, then you will not get the Challenges. Also, you may not see the Challenge until you reach the Phase it was released for. (Like this one is for Phase 3.)

The Castle Gate Challenge!
Peter Starts
Collect 12 Stick Horses: Mort Scrounge for Coins OR Westley Watch the Princess Bride OR Chris the Giant Crush It OR Inigo Montoya Recite his Mantra OR Dungeon of the Six Fingered Man (Bazaar)
Train in Jousting 6 Times: 2hrs, Requires 2 Stick Horses
Clear 1 Rodent of Unusual Size: Requires Little Red Riding Hood Stewie, 4hrs
Completed Task Reward: Earns 100 
Magic Beans & 20
HP, Unlocks Castle Gate for 2000 Magic Beans. (You can only purchase the one.)
This Challenge is a bit harder. Mainly due to it depends on how you are earning the Stick Horses and how close you are to unlocking Red Riding Hood Stewie in your game for the R.O.U.S. If you have Stewie already, this will be much easier. Remember, you have SEVEN DAYS to complete this Challenge. I would suggest to focus on getting Stewie prior to triggering it. Then start working on Stick Horses as any already collected will NOT count towards the 12 requested.

How many clams does it take to complete the 4 hour task for red riding stewie to clear one rodent, just trying to work out what is best to pay to finish stewie and leave 4 hours or to try and get all the parts for stewie.

I am not having the stick horses count towards my weekly challenge. I pickup two that didn’t count and at least two that didn’t show up in the jousting area. The weekly challenge triggered for me after part 1 right after I placed the house to collect for Stewie.

Does anyone else think it’s weird that even after completing a timed challenge that we still have to pay for our ‘reward’? Lol….seems a little sketch…

I kind of like the option to get multiples of something I can create with instead of one that is just a deco. I get why they put it in the Challenges.

I get that, but make it a lot cheaper than 2,000 magic beans, lol! I mean I can understand 25-100 range, but not many players can get multiples considering such a high cost for just one.

Well this one, as noted on post, is a one only. I think that’s why it’s high. The others with multiples were very cheap. 1 or 5 Magic Beans for instance.

I hear ya. But usually when we complete a challenge we don’t have to purchase our reward. To me it’s like paying for free shipping, lol!

Need help on the Princess materials. What do you have to do to get the rodents of unusual size? When does beating the dragon give you scepters? Just got the 100 princess hats for buttercup, so need 200 more for Cinderella Lois. No way will I get these two unlocked before this ends 😦
PS anyone figured out the time that goes by from when dragon leaves to when it returns? Feels like it’s at least 2 days.

You will also see the link to the Dragons there and what info HAS been released as far as their timing.

How do I see how many of each of the three potions I currently have? Trying to save some up for the next dragon but I’m guessing on what I currently have as I haven’t kept track of what I have made so far…

I’m freemium and have been participating in the challenge. The first two were easy but I may not be able to beat this one cause I’m a long way off on completing Stewie. My biggest problem has been getting enough sapphire eggs for the bazaar items that all seem to be needed to get Stewie.

In the comments of another post I learned a trick to get more eggs (or any drop from the training area). When your character completes the training you go to a screen showing you what they earned. If you don’t get what you are hoping for, don’t press the “claim” button. Instead, close and reload the game. You can then try again. I have gotten eggs and picnic baskets every time using this method. It may take a few attempts, but it works. Also got the fire swamp and lightning sandbox this way. I’m loading up on green and blue eggs for phase 4 using this method.

I just tried it twice with jousting and now finally got two times five of the baskets. After no baskets for at least ten tries.
However I’ve not managed to get the baskets plus the egg at the same try, it’s either or. But that’s fine as I got more than enough eggs (green ones at least)… So now I might get Stewie after all because the two party balls now also dropped at once, finally. 🙂

The tree pit of despair hasn’t dropped a single item for red riding hood Stewie. Every two hours nothing drops at all. Anybody else with this problem?

I got 1 party ball after about 20 tries. Decided to just buy the other one with clams (it was all i was waiting on to finish red). Wanted to get moving on my story line and get items for princesses. Although that attacking the rous has a poor drop rate as well.
What’s up with the Easter Bunny outfit for Peter? I brought the cheeps and bunny 🙂

What is the drop rate for glass slippers from the R.O.U.S.? Also, is it just one slipper that drops or multiples? How many drop exactly? Does anybody know?
Sapphire eggs are THE hardest to get! And the picnic baskets too! 😦 Anyone having better luck than I?

I am also just waiting on this item to drop too and nothing…..might have to just pay the clamp to keep the story line going

I have yet to see one drop yet and it’s been 2.5 days since I got the tree. I think that’s about 15 attempts so far with no help. Contacted TinyCo via in-game help but expect the “We’ve checked and drops are normal” canned response.

I was checking every 2 hours….late on day 2 I got 2 party balls to drop. Probably after close to 15 tries

My week 2 challenge just hit this morning. Hopefully I can make it through the rest before the event is over. Thankfully I won’t be too disappointed if I don’t make it to the end for the castle. It’s not something I would leave out permanently anyway.

Is anyone else having problems with clams dropping on the grand fairy tale library? Every time I come on in a morning (12 hours is usually up around 8am) I cannot click on it to get a reward and it gives me no clams. If I do click on it it says the timer has just restarted (as if I HAD clicked it). It’s been like this for days now and I have contacted them to ask for help but no reply?!

Are you using “Consuela’s Vacuum” to gather up your coins as soon as you enter the game? If so, it collects the Clam automatically for you. In the future if you “visably” want to see the clam pop up… don’t use the vacuum and just tap on the Library.
That is why you are most likely seeing the restart as if you had clicked it, Consuela’s Vacuum collected it and reset it for you. 😉

I ma actually a little disappointed as I have everything to get the hobby horses and the only one I am getting them from is Inigo who takes 12 hours… At this rate I wont get through the Jousting part of the challenge. 😦

I’ve got enough potions saved up to take a run at the white dragon so now it is EGG TIME! I’ve got everybody and the Dungeon working on Gauntlets and Stick Horses.
I’ve also been sending two fighters at the same time for eggs.
I’ve got 13 of each potion and Sir Peter working on more so I’m going for all of the buildings now. That will be my challenge.
When this event ends, I would like to see pictures of how people designed their castle.

I paid to speed through it and did all challenges in a few minutes and saved the last session of jousting to just do on its own over 2 hours.
THEN I realised I had a week haha oops! XD
