WTD they took away Brian’s Ghostly Gift task even though it didn’t help much by taking 12 hours and they’re already far too rare. So I only have 2 characters that can get them now.

So thanks tiny Co for Santa gift box for 10 coins that you get 3 tries on. But out of our 3 family games, 2 of us got 6 green balls which we have no use for and 15 stocking stuffers. Our other game got 3 green balls and 50 stocking stuffers.

So this has to be the worst event thus far as far as progress goes for me.
I am sooo far behind. Was only able to unlock peter by paying 120 clams or I would be further behind. Still have not unlocked QB! Need stocking stuffers AND tissue! I have had all my peeps (that have that task) trying to get tissues, and only have one thus far!
I can’t go any further in quest because I need QB.
I only have 5 days to unlock Peach and Monkey. That’s not going to happen!!! I only have one building so far from week/phase two.
So I can kiss Peaches and Evil monkey good bye.
I’m very frustrated right now!
I should be having fun and enjoying myself with this game, instead I’m stressing and becoming annoyed (certainly NOT what I want in a game)
So here I am venting!

I have all of the bongos for monkey kong yet the green barrels are still continuing to drop them! I need stockings primarily and other useful stuff, not something I cant use! WTD??

They really need to put a warning that a character is timed… Looks like I wasted my Monkey Kong (I believe those characters are also almost impossible to just buy with clams). And the stocking stuffers are just way too rare. You need a large amount of them to get anything. It’s also annoying how it seems that you can’t just play those events freestyle but that you need to read the guide first to try to maximize your drops and order in which to build things.
And don’t get me started on the large amount of characters that should have a least a task to bring in some stuffers (if not items). It’s a Family Guy game and you can only use Brian and Stewie once every few events, and most of the time you need to buy them a costume first! Not to mention that every reward character ends up on the island because they are almost useless…

Ditto to everything. I know it’s been said before but….there seems to be no reward for long time players. Worked so hard for haunakua mort and Santa Claus and all the other theme related peeps from prior quests…..and they sit idle. Want to make it “fair” to new players. I get it. But at some point shouldn’t there be something for those who’ve worked on every quest….your slow and steady who purchase clams here and there to get that one character they have to have….who think the drop rate sucks but still set their alarm for 4 hours to grab that task….who have millions in the bank with nothing to buy….
I can go on. Just frustrated. Either need to reframe this for me – 1 task/1 goal….or move on for 2017.

What the deuce with the freaking wall of ice not giving me any blocks for qbert besides the first two?!! For a rare item it seems to be acting more like epic rare! Did it stop working or did I just get a bum one? Ditto on everyone’s stocking stuffers hate!!

WTD… Now I can’t even get into my game, it crashed while trying to open a green barrel and every time I load the game it tries to display my prizes and force closes (Android) or freezes (Facebook app). So the bug is not due to a specific device… Meanwhile the timer keeps ticking on Monkey Kong. TinyCo, please fix this!

I had also contacted TinyCo and they were able to fix this. It seems either the bug froze my clock or they rewound it back to when it crashed, as all my characters were one hour into their current tasks – although those on 24-hour tasks will now complete at around 5am! Good news, the Monkey Kong clock is also back to when it crashed. Thanks TinyCo for the quick fix!

tl;dr: WTD stockings and tissue!!!!!
I made good progress in week 1, unlocked Peter with some time left till week 2 and was in pretty good shape for being F2P. I knew tissues were gonna be a pain, but everything stopped dropping! took me 2 days to get another cube drop and i’m still waiting for the last tissue, and we are close to week 3 already. They should allow us to at least complete the main quest. If they wanted to add premium characters (aka they are free but unless you pay you won’t get it) that would be fine. But their methods are beyond broken.
I always say ‘ok if I don’t get X by T then I quit’… I honestly love Family Guy and keep coming back to this game.
ps. Let us finish the main questline!!!!!!!!!

Well my game is now permanently frozen during the barrel box reveal animation, no matter how many times I restart the game or my phone. Guess that’s the signal to give up on this event, was getting sick of the issues already mentioned here (stocking stuffers, tissues, and 7 point dragons).

My game froze when I was opening a green barrel and it’s stuck there no matter what I do. I even deleted the app and logged back in and it still was on the opening barrel screen, totally frozen. Is there anything I can do?

Me, 5 days ago: Oh, well I still need 1 tissue box for Qbert, but since I only have 800 stocking stuffers, no big deal.
Me, today: Finally 2000 stocking stuffers! Still waiting on that one last tissue box…. 100 clams to buy it, so I won’t do that. wtd.

I think TinyCo hates Christmas and wants us all to join them.
Why have so little event currency and such high amounts needed for questline characters?!?
I refuse to reward them with buying a premium building because they made it so IMPOSSIBLE. They don’t deserve my clams for being a Grinch about stocking stuffers! UGH! ANNOYED TINYCO!

That pretty much sums up mine. Stocking stuffers and tissues. Star power ups are the next giant tissues. 12 hour task for Joe and I’ve received 0 in like 5 tries. Hopefully once I get the “shock’em clock’em” robots it wont be an issue but it’s looking bad right now.
I’m not even gonna drop Monkey Kong until Peaches is mostly done and I have the two buildings required to get him. It might not be until week 3 starts but looking ahead I think I can get through week 2’s questlines pretty quick and start week 3 maybe a day behind(crosses fingers).

That was my approach – I got all of the buildings for both, and since I had everything for Princess but 3 of the Power Ups I placed Monkey Kong today (based on another post gave Princess all her Stocking Stuffers and started on Q*Bert again), so now I am just grinding. Hopefully I can get enough Stocking Stuffers for Q*Bert by Wednesday to only end up a day behind.

Unbelievable that they haven’t altered the Stuffer numbers. The high numbers required are bad enough but all of them are tied together; need to buy this to continue the questline, need that to get this, but need something else first, but not until after getting something else for something timed, etc. etc. Add in their beloved tiered item gathering technique and it’s maddening.
AND we’re still using the same small number of characters all the time!! I just love how Herbert, Bruce and Jerome are more necessary characters in this game than Stewie, Brian and Meg.

Yes, I agree, Brian, Stewie and Meg should have been unlocked in the early districts in order they could be used in every event.

Update. Finally last box dropped! Only took 5 days with 2 characters constantly on task but whatever.. that torture is over so back to collecting 2400 for peaches! Ugh… not to mention even more for buildings:( .. just gonna keep a positive attitude…. it could happen … right?? … lol

WTD? Bonnie and Bruce no longer have event related tasks. On the bright side, I think think this is because I’ve just unlocked Q*bert! Actually, playing is going more smoothly now, and I’m beginning to think Monkey Kong is a character for premium players, if I just focus on Peaches this may not be so bad. Let’s see…

I’m with you – I’m pretty much just trying for Peaches as Monkey Kong is going to cost too much especially as I’m down to four and a half days with not even a third of the items achieved. Bongo drums level is 6/40 and I haven’t been able to collect hammers or ties. WTD…
Finally, Mort has no event tasks left and I can’t park him in Tan Lines, WTD?

I’m getting lots of bongos from the barrel boxes since unlocking Q*bert. I still won’t be able to unlock Monkey Kong though since he’ll timeout long before I can get Peaches.

That’s funny you say that as I’ve suddenly seen an uptick in the bongos since yesterday – wonder if that’s related to unlocking Q*bert. I’m hoping turtle shells and green balls are meaningful in the next phase as I’m by-passing the buildings specific to Monkey Kong. Even with the buildings, he’ll likely timeout before I can unlock him. The sage advice we always see from Bunny and Tigger is basically spend clams if you really want him, otherwise, all sales are final and buyers regret is a real emotion. Personally, I was an Asteroids player throughout undergrad, so Donkey Kong was never a game I played much – I’ll work on Peaches and see what the next phase brings! Right now, I’m stuck on Stars (Power Ups) for her – only 1/9 achieved, but cleared everything else.
Overall, so far, so good. I’m at level 17 which is shocking – usually the higher levels are harder…not sure how I got there so quick. I do have all available characters on event tasks, so that helps.

Thanks for the heads up on Bonnie and Bruce – based on that I decided to give the Stocking Stuffers to Peaches and then go back to Q*Bert (and start again ;)). It isn’t that many more per day, but it is more … !

Stocking stuffers. I just got Peter costume and down to only 42. Launched part 2 today as I just got enough to unlock Peter costume. So I need 2000 to unlock Qbert and 100 for peaches castle and xxx more for Peaches? Tough.

All of the above! How did TC manage to go backwards after doing such a good job with the Oz event? Obviously intentional, because they had figured out how to fix it. Crummy, defeating, and making this holiday event that should be fun a huge demoralizing waste of time that I plan to soon invest in better activities!

What the deuce…. STOCKING STUFFERS! I finally saved up 1200 towards QBert as of this morning, and I play every 2 hours all day long.. but still need 3 cubes and 2 giant tissues for him, so I finally decided to go ahead and just buy out the buildings needed for King Monkey character since he is timed and I’m down to just 5 days left (also what the deuce on forcing placement of timed characters in events when there is absolutely no way to get the needed supplies tiny Co!) Peaches is beyond out of reach due to her stuffers requirements and I’ve got most of her other needed items collected already except the stars (haven’t placed the building yet) and I’ve made my peace that if tiny Co doesn’t improve this stocking stuffer situation Pronto I’m going to have to just pay out her task to get the giant monkey if I want him or just skip him entirely I’m still undecided here. Seems quite unfair to be unobtainable without clams simply because tiny Co won’t give adequate event currency without paying for clam buildings for stocking stuffers. Even in the Oz event and the other more recent events I’ve noticed I haven’t had any left over event currency to buy decor like I used to on past events. Used to buy up hundreds of road pieces and such, for oz couldn’t even get a yellow brick road because there was no left over emeralds to purchase with! So I’m seeing a new trend here and I’m not liking it! So for all the above and so much more I’m not going to to mention here, what the deuce?!?

Hope I’m not too late, but you NEED Peaches in order to unlock Monkey, so…keep that in mind before buying Monkey’s buildings; you only need the Rock’em Sock’em Robots & the Puzzle Cube building to complete the questline…
