Hey there Dragon Warriors!
With Phase 4 now live and running in our lil Quahogs, I wanted to give an updated look on our Exchange Location for the Event.

Is it me, or hhas this game gotten so terrible that’s it’s unplayable unless you buy stuff?
I’m only on the second week.
Never got the Karate Kid, can’t seem to achieve any of the 24-48 hour quests to award extra stuff.
It was slow progress (probably the slowest I have ever experienced).
Drop rates kept me out of doing most anything.
I got so frustrated I emailed tinyco saying that their events are becoming cash grabs.
And I remember it was not always this way. I used to get so much further and have fun playing.

I’ve found this event a big improvement on the last few and have progressed well, my only clam buy being Tai-Jitsu Lois. Sorry you’ve not enjoyed it.

I actually think this was the easiest event in years. I finished the entire week 4 event questline last week. I’m going to get the grand prize easily. And I have obtained every single building — with plenty of rice balls to spare. And I’ve got something like 6,000 chopsticks to blow on decos or a last minute surprise. I only had one splurge with clams for Martial Farts. And I’m going to get the 8th feather tomorrow. I give myself an A+ on this one. I played a lot, but didn’t spend many clams.

There’s a chopstick mystery box to keep you busy now, lol. Well done, good haul, and probably due to you snapping up Martial Farts at the start.

Thanks. I literally finished everything and am just killing the chicken 10 times for no reason, racking up 100 extra rice balls, and grabbing chopsticks to add ships to the fleet in my armada at sea now. 🙂

Why do I need so many chopsticks? I have a huge amount and have bought em everything, including a nice sized wall

They might release more items, I’m not sure but just in case I always wait until last day to spend currency like this.

I’m trying to figure out why I would want either more rice balls or more chopsticks. I already have insane amounts of both, which are useless. I have every character and building from this event. The only thing left to play for is 8 feathers from the Giant Chicken. But is that going to get me a full playable character — or just another useless costume? Anyone know?

It’s a costume for Giant Chicken.

I was reading through various comments, and happened to notice you had several comments made about either you having tons of cash, or rice balls or chopsticks, and most of all, collected all available characters. Then you complained about needing more use for all of these currencies instead of decoration items which you think are useless. Quite a lot of negativity expressed which makes me wonder why you continue to play in spite of all these rants.
I play freemium and struggle alot with how to get certain characters in a race against time. But once I achieve it, like the Golden Dragon just this morning, I feel a tinge of satisfaction. Assumed that you play premium hence able to advance so much ahead compared to rest of us. If freemium, it would be good if you can share your tips on how to progress so rapidly.

I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be negative. I guess what I am really trying to do is get the attention of TinyCo and get them to make more useful stuff available. I am a freemium player for the most part. My tips: Play a lot, watch 20 ads a day, and use clams wisely — at what I call tipping points — where using 5 clams here and there to speed up acquisition of a key item or character will have cascading effects on other things — because it is on “the critical path.” That and don’t sleep! I’m an Iraq combat veteran and wake up a lot in the middle of night. Playing calms me down and helps me fall back asleep.
I wound up using 6,000 chopsticks to buy an armada of ships as a water deco after buying literally every item in the mystery box and every other land deco. I also got the last challenge and qualified for the grand prize. And I got the chicken costume today.
The only non-freemium splurge was 175 clams on the building that gave out fight contracts on day 1. I could see ahead that they were going to be in short supply and on the critical path.
As for the nearly 60 million coins I have, it’s because my town is jam packed with coin-producing buildings covering every inch of town and I have purchased every square inch of land available. My town is a giant coin farm. It’s also the reason I am probably on at least level 200.
I have OCD, so I like to watch the coin totals mount. I hope, one day, TinyCo gives us something good to spend all these coins and Stewie Bucks on.

Not there yet because of the weight shakers not dropping getting a nice stock pile of rice balls.
