Flash, a-ah, saviour of the multiverse……
Yes with the new Guys In Black event, we’re getting some new Characters and one of them just happens to be Flash Gordon.
Let’s throw you some information on what Flash Gordon. can do in our silly lil games.
Flash Gordon is a New Character added during the Guys In Black event. As with many characters in the game in order to get them you have to collect lots of stuff! You will be directed to start to unlock him at Pt. 1 of the main Questline Saviours Of The Suburbs. Tapping on Go will take you to the event area where you will be directed to Find Out Who’s Under the World Expo Tower: repairing this will bring Flash Gordon into your game to unlock. Once you’ve placed him you only have 7 days to fully unlock him before they leave your game.
Requires
1 Golden Belt (Always): Ming the Merciless
7 Mongo Swords (Always): Clear Space Bats OR Mongo Sword Display
2 Tight Flesh Jerseys (Common): Flash’s Rocket Cycle
13 Hair Bleach (Uncommon): Doctor Zarkov’s Lab OR Ming’s Palace Chamber
11 Space Pilot Licenses (Rare): Meg Take Driver’s Ed OR Bruce Start a Carpool
Once you have finished collecting all the Materials the characters require you can pull Flash Gordon into your game.
She does come with a Questline, Flash Back, more on that in another post.
Flash Gordon does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ & XP! He can also fight the Phase 3 baddies, Space Bats & Ming The Merciless.

**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event Ends.

For the first time ever I’ve been keeping up well enough to get more than one timed character during an event. This is only the second time I’ve managed to complete the tasks to earn a timed character at all. The first was the donkey kong dude in the pacman event. I’m thrilled with the pace of this event. Even though I haven’t earned them fast enough to help me with the bosses that they fight, it’s nice to have timed characters within reach as a freemium player.

he’s been really useful fighting Ming
i killed Ming 3 times so far (1 without him , 2 with him)
and i’m in the warm zone in the 3rd place of the leaderboard

Same here… Happy Hour hit yesterday just as I was finishing off Ming, so I got 450 leaderboard badges instead of the usual 150. I was always hovering towards the end of the leaderboard (around 4600-4900), but quite often I was unranked… but after 1 day of attacks I’ve skyrocketed to Rank 1600 with 2058 badges

Glad you got him. I’m still one license short with 14 hours left. If I don’t get the last one on this round I will spend my precious earned clams to buy the last one. I refuse to waste so much work when I’m this close.

lucky you .. i still beat myself about it until now , he was right there in front of me and i didn’t unlock him 😦
the only thing keeping me from giving up on this game is the chance to get him again in a future event …

Cool deal. I would have loved to earn him sooner but I got stuck on the licenses. I quit paying attention to the leaderboards a long time ago since I found myself not ranking enough to make a difference. Now I only look when I hit the wrong button. Good luck with staying in the top levels :-).

Since Bruce is stuck in a building in my game due to the glitch, i cant get enough licenses 😦

I’m sorry you’re stuck in a glitch. I’ve been there and it sucks when we love playing so much. I didn’t pay attention to which of my characters actually dropped licenses but I’ve read where several have said that meg dropped the most for them. I was stuck at 7 for two full days with two characters working non-stop. You never know when luck might favor you so keep trying with Meg.
