Winter Meg – Did You Unlock Her?

Hi fellow addicts

As many of you requested I tried to get some further movement on Winter Meg’s unlock requirements but it wasn’t to be. So here’s where you can let me know if  you unlocked her or not.

So for those who were trying to get Winter Meg at the second attempt just tell me in the comments whether you got her or not, and if you did get her tell me if  you used any Clams to buy out her requirements.

  1. I did unlock her. I already had Yeti, so that helped. I completed the entire event and earned my 10 clams.

  2. I did not unlock Winter Meg.

Still needed a lot of yoghurt and elixirs and I had no fast forward function.

  3. spent 2 lots of clams to speed up Lois/Stewie to get the 7th elixer, then gave up

  4. I got her. Still had…11 ice fire whatever’s to collect on Meg so just spent the 88 clams to get her.
    Don’t ever shut up Meg!

  5. I got her Monday night without spending any clams and only using Lois and Stewie to get ice, but with a lot of FF ads. I also got the building (I forget what it was) to get frozen yogurt fairly early also watching ads

  6. I was lucky enough to unlock Meg, but I purchased Yeti and spent no more clams, and I even finished the questline with a few hours to spare, which I did not think I would be able to do. The drop rate was horrible.

  7. Not … even … close. I only had maybe 3 yoghurt and zero fire elixir. Support could not help with the vanishing Ice monster.

  8. Didn’t get her, refused to spend clams in the amount that it would have taken. Didn’t feel I could reward them for horrible drop rates and unattainable requirements

  9. I unlocked Winter Meg. However, that was through heavy use of fast forward for five days, plus I estimate I spent 15 clams rushing tasks that had maybe 30 minutes left to finish. I also had the Yeti from the last time this event played. Total clam cost to me, considering the five daily clams I couldn’t collect due to using FF, was about 40 (I would have bought Yeti regardless).

It did feel like water elixir drops increased in frequency over the weekend. Without FF I don’t think it would have been possible to collect Winter Meg in the week. While reducing the number of Fire Elixir from 40 to 30 helped, I don’t think that’s where the problem was–it was the sheer numbers of Water Elixir needed and the fact that the ratio of Water needed to Fire collected was way off. It would have been much more achievable if the Water Elixir needed for the streak had gone 1-2-3-4-5, not 1-3-5-7-9.

  10. Nope….I played all 3 weeks just to get her. Normally on every 4/6/8 hours to collect. Would of prob needed atleast 2/3 more days to collect the fire stuff.

  12. Nope, I was not able to unlock Winter Meg. I still needed a 2 or 3 Strange Yoghurts In A Bag and about 13 or so Fire Elixirs. Guess I have something to look forward to next year when they repeat this event again. Lol.

  13. Failed again to get Winter Meg. Didn’t buy Winter Peter or Yeti, so I think it was impossible to begin with. Could have bought her in the end for 300 clams, took a pass.

What I don’t get is why they make it so hard for a costume that we’re never going to use again. If it was a character, I would understand it better, but this is just demotivating players.

  14. No Meg, was able to collect 18 elixirs in total!

  15. I did get her; bought out for 13 clams (needed one yoghurt) after midnight, less than 5hrs before event end.
I had Yeti and Winter Peter, so I got all the fire potions in plenty of time, but the yoghurt drops from characters and the building were pathetic. More like rare than uncommon.

  16. I played the entire 3 weeks, just to get Meg this time, hoping that having all the other items and costumes from last year would make it easier… NOT! 🤬
I might understand if they kept it difficult because the costume/character was a licenced one, such as a Star Trek one, but there is no excuse for making a simple costume so hard to obtain! I should have taken the three weeks off and built up my hoard of clams!

Oh: To answer your question, no, I did not get her, and since I don’t currently have Fast Forward, I did use a few clams here and there to rush tasks.

  17. I had Winter Meg unlocked from last year, but if I had to do it this time around, I would not have been able to without using clams. I believe we needed 25 elixirs to do a 5X run on the Ice Fire Creature, and I only had 22. I did not unlock the last building, I was 5 ski goggles short.

  18. Failed. Got to half of what was needed for both yogurt and fire elixir. If memory serves me right, that is exactly the same spot I was last year when I tried this. What’s the definition of “insanity”?

  19. No and I don’t spend clams when they make the collecting so hard I would HAVE to.

  20. No, needed another 12/24 hours depending on the drops for the elixirs….

  21. I did not and I play every 4 hours.

  22. No chance. Was about 17 elixirs short
    Impossible without spending

  23. I got her. No clams but lots of fast forward (which they probably love because of the ads I had to watch). Ended all the tasks with about 14 hours to go.

  24. I unlocked Winter Meg but had to pay a couple hundred clams at the end of the game to get her. I got 35 clams for finishing the winter group. I would have gotten her without paying except I did not know she was available until four days before the end of the game. There was no quest for her shown in the list on the lower left of the screen so I didn’t know she was in Al Harrington’s store.

  25. Nope, failed again. Even with potions quantity required, 8 hour tasks drops were less than uncommon.

  26. Yes, she cost me 270 clams for Yeti plus 26 clams to rush water elixir drops. Think it would’ve cost more than 26 clams to go for the direct buy-out option at the last minute, so pretty much satisfied that I made the right decision.

  27. I was not able to earn Meg- I wound up still needing water elixir to defeat ice/fire creature. I used the fast forward to try to get the elixir but the drop rate was terrible even with that. I used clams a couple of times to get the elixir but still couldn’t get more than 19/ 30 on the fire elixir.

  29. Depressingly not even close. It would have been 300+ clams to unlock her Tuesday night. The drops of the yoghurt and the water elixir were just horrible. They got good for a day, but then just went to crap again. I was unable to get even half the required number of yogurt, and despite constantly sending on elixir tasks for seven days, I think in total I got maybe 14-15 in the end. I’m a freemium player who is not afraid to spend a few clams on a good character or to speed up something towards the end, but I wasn’t about to spend a premium in clams for a costume that would not be used again. Very disappointing event. Again.

    • Yes, I got her late Monday, even though my yoghurt drops were awful. Would’ve been impossible without the lower elixir requirement. Ski goggle drops were also atrocious and couldn’t get enough to finish the questline.

  34. Saw the requirements and decided against it. It wouldn’t have got me an extra person to earn the QHS Coins either, and would not be used again, so wasn’t a priority.

  35. I needed 2 fire elixir and 5 yogurt with 45 minutes to go so I ended up purchasing Winter Meg for 81 CLAMS.

  36. I was short. Another day I would of had her.

  37. I tried speeding up requirements with some clams, but the costume was not worth it. In the end I ended requiring still 5 fire elixirs and 6 yoghurts. And this time I really tried to collect each 8 hours.

  38. I just unlocked her for 120 clams. I needed 15 elixirs. I got the last 2 yogurts this morning and had the other three requirements completed for a few days. I tried to do the speed up function last night and got a few yogurts before it stopped working. I had the yeti from last year plus I earned all of the other costumes for this event last year as well. I did not get winter Peter. I think the requirements were too much for the elixr for this event.

  39. Yes, with 1 hour to spare. I had to use clams each day to speed up the yoghurt and water elixir tasks, and I had to pay for the last yoghurt drop which was around 16 clams IIRC after the previous drop failed. I didn’t finish the questline though.

  40. Did not unlock her. Used a few clams to speed up some of the tasks, but in the end I was still missing about 400+ clams worth of materials so I gave up.
