So the name of the game is Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff, what stuff might you be after? Here’s a list of the stuff (materials) you’re required to collect in the game to unlock more stuff!
This list is based on the BETA testing done on the game, so it will be a complete work in progress. You’ll see that not every item has an “Earned By” yet and that’s because this is the list from testing and not everything has been earned (or been needed just yet) but as soon as we uncover just how it’s earned we’ll update this list.

I’m so frustrated, trying to get plutonium for Stewie. I only have 3 more to get and have been trying since October with no luck. Tinyco responded to me telling me its just luck 😦
I miss out on so much content without him, trying not to throw the towel in, but I’m exasperated.

My best advice is try mixing up your tasks, don’t send the same character on a plutonium task constantly, break it up with a 1hr task. Sometimes that helps to clear it out.

Having problems getting Lois’ Quest to complete. I’ve had her and Peter “Work out Marital Issues” 5 or 6 times and it won’t complete. I noticed also that even when I try to use my clams to complete the quest instantly, my total clam count doesn’t go down, it stays the same. Help!

I’m trying to unlock Cop Joe and McBurgertown has not dropped a single burger since I started this task during Christmas. It doesn’t even indicate it can drop them (when you tap the status bar of McBtown). And it looks like that’s the only way to get them. Suggestions?

There are no quick ways unfortunately. He’s a royal PITA. Try switching up character tasks…have them do a task to drop something for stewie and then a 1 hr task. Sometimes that switch helps.

You have to clear the cache. Hard close the game, clear the game cache, uninstall the game, restart your device and reinstall it. That should help clear out your old game. Remember…you’ll lose anything you gained from Comic Con and full moon (if you played during those events) and you won’t be able to get it back into the new game if that’s what you decide to do.

Hang in there everyone, i hbe only spent $10 in clams when the game first came out, and saved the rest of my earned clams. (I think the game is worth something at least) not spending any more cash is really hard but WORTH IT. So far I have unlocked george takei and the rest of the free comic characters. (Don’t have the stewie costume yet) just do those quests relentlessly and you will get those items!

I finally got anime Peter. It took weeks, like most people said, but it didn’t bother me. I got him, no tricks, cheats or clams spent. Yes the epic items took a long time to get, but I didn’t expect this game to be easy when you don’t want to spent any money. Hang in there people. You will get him eventually for free. If you can’t wait, drop some clams for him. Patience is a virtue and the game is just perfecting your craft!

some of these drop rates are absolutely ridiculous. I’ve had doc running his routine for almost 3 weeks now / 3-4 times a day and I still haven’t gotten even 1 eyeball. Headbands are just as bad. I have 1 headband in the last 2 weeks. I realize they don’t drop every time, but this just sucks all the fun out of the game, When a skin is “REQUIRED” in order to progress in the game, there should be nothing epic or extra rare involved. Spinning your wheels for absolutely nothing – somebody said earlier they’ve been trying almost a month for a drop? MIght as well call it Family Candy Crush Guy, when the built in mechanics don’t allow you to win or progress in the game. Even the ComicCon drops have been faster than the ‘normal’ ones.

I have unlocked Ron. Yes it can be frustrating, but that is the game, “Quest for Stuff” lol I used to be frustrated with the game too. I kept comparing it to TSTO. But then started liking it when I just let it stand on it’s on merits. Now I like the challenge of getting “stuff”. Everyone has been in your shoes trying to get those whips, eyeballs and headbands. Consider it, a badge of honor, an accomplishment once you get the last items you need. I would put all your focus on the event right now, then go back to district requirements after the event ends. Good luck on your item hunting either way. 😉

Ive been trien for 4 weeks now to get the third eyeball. I break it up with 1hr job but tweeked peter doesnt have an hour job. So ot makes no sense. There gotta be something else why im not gettin the eyeball. A month for one thing to drop….. 😦 . If someone knows what im missing or didnt do please help….

I hope i dont jinx myself by saying this but ive been very lucky with drop rates. It received the three eyeballs needed for anime peter in two days by having peter and the doc constantly running the required tasks. Same for the headbands with lois. I have however been waiting on two more whips to drop for S&M lois but must admit ive hardly had anybody on the required task 😉

this just isn’t any fun anymore. Not being able to advance the storyline just makes me want to quit playing. I feel like all this wasted time for nothing. I was able to get the eyeballs in about a week and its been alot longer and I still don’t have rambo lois, no point in playing. I will just go and give the lowest rating in the play store.

I have been trying non stop to get the headbands for Rambo Lois and I have the arcade I got s &m Lois no problem. I have only been able to get literally 2 headbands one dropped from lois the other from arcade. Ever since then nothing. Also Dr Hartman and Peter never drop any eyeballs! !!

been trying for 10 weeks to get the eyeballs. i have the dr only doing the task to get an eyeball and none have dropped yet. i play on my android. also i am fixing to be upgrading my phone in a few days, will my progress transfer to the new phone or will i have to start over?

It can be a real “B” getting those to drop. As long as your game is linked to Facebook/Google or you made an account in the game, you will be fine. When you load the game onto your new phone, it will start from the beginning, but once you play it until you get to the part where the “main menu” appears, you can then go into “account info”, enter your info and your old game will load. 😉

I have anime peter and Rambo Lois, and though they were a pain in the ass to get, that is not the problem I have with the game.
The problem I have with this game is, I’m currently sitting on nearly 200,000 coins with the entire map uncovered and have absolutely nothing to buy. Yet again, I see another quest for clams pop in.. clams, buy 100 clams get pop cleavland faster. This on top of, use clams to open the sarcophaguses.
They push the clams far too hard in this game while literally leaving nothing to put your coins into. It took them 20 days into a 31 day event just to be able to collect moon idols from your neighbors? Com on.
Now I’m sitting here staring a giant pile of useless coins while the only quest I see is clams.. clams clams..
Stop pushing the damn clams!!!!!!!

Whether it is a glitch or not; and while it is a great idea that some things are harder to get than others, it takes ALL the fun out of the game. I have been trying to get the eyeball for a MONTH now. I play every day, Hartman and Peter ONLY do the requisite quest to get the eyeball, and I get shafted EVERY time. I love the game; but random or not, not being able to advance is not a glitch; it is a FLAW. I can no longer play the game because it frustrates me so much.
Assurances aside, if this aspect of the game is frustrating as many gamers as it appears to be, out of respect the designers should fix the game.

I have the same issue one more to go for the s&m and two more for Rambo, no more drops, I have the fire station and peter selling himself for the whip, and Lois doing karate and the arcade. It’s like they don’t want to let it drop. It wouldn’t be so bad if there were more ways to earn clams but you don’t even get clams for leveling up! I’m getting tired of waiting for nothing to happen.

No, totally unrelated….they are having a few glitch issues with the “crossover”…when one set of files are replaced with another set. Hard close and reload game, then give it a day. If nothing, send a note to TinyCo from within the game. 🙂

Maybe someone here can help me. I’ve been having issues with the eyeshadow item. I know it is a rare drop, but it doesn’t seem to be registering for me when I do get them. For some reason, when they drop and I collect them, the little bar in the upper right fills (full bar saying I have enough for the requirements) but when I go to Harringtons, it says I have just 2 of them. I’ve now collected at least 4 or 5 of them that I know of where that number hasn’t changed at all and it is getting rather frustrating.

i´ve got a tip, i dont know if it works for all people, when i need an item i wait till i get the check mark above the character/building (obviously), then i close the game, open it again and the VERY first action i do is clicking that character/building, doesnt work all the time but help me get the headbands and eyeball faster, it really really helped me, now i have all the characters/customs but the only one missing is middle age crisis lois (missing 3 exorbitant hats). hope it helps you!

Yesterday my game is playing fine, then around 1:00 am it tells me that a upgrade is available, so I click on that and iTunes does not have any update. Uninstall resign in with Facebook, and again it says a upgrade is available but iTunes just says open!! Wtf?!

iOS Update has not yet been approved, but the Android one was. So Android had an update last night, but iOS did not. Waiting for iOS to approve the latest update so it can hit the market. It’s mostly a glitch fix update.

This random rare stuff is killing my enthusiasm for the game. Been trying to get the headband for Rambo Lois for weeks. Such a gigantic waste of time and energy. If I don’t get the last 2 in the next couple days I’m deleting this game. They really need to program out some of the randomness (like after x number of attempts it happens automatically). Truly random with low odds can be crushingly oppressive. This one item has sapped all my interest in this game. It’s already got ridiculous wait times, but add the random factor and it’s stupid to even try to play. It just reinforces that I should be spending my time elsewhere.

I agree. It’s really hard to get into playing the game when the ability to progress in the storyline is out of your hands and instead the game randomly determines when you’ll be able to move forward. It would be one thing if the extra rare or epic items were connected to only bonus quests or stand-alone costumes, but when they’re tied to the main storyline – like needing eyeballs and headbands to unlock Anime Peter so you can then unlock Tricia – it brings everything to a standstill for days/weeks on end while you wait and wait for an item drop, and that’s just a game-killer for me. I can’t see how Tiny Co thought this would be a good strategy to keep players invested in the game.

Anyone else have items disappear on them? I had everything but one sea shell for Peter, and after I started collecting hairspray for Connie it set Peters hairspray count back to 0.

If you used the hairspray on Connie (ie unlocked connie) than the hairspray will go back to 0. You need to collect that amount for each character. Think of it like money. If it costs $100 for a building and $50 for another building and you have $100 you can either buy the building for $100 or the building for $50, but you can’t buy both. However, if you had $150 you could buy both buildings. It’s the same thing with the items. If one character requires 10 hairspray and another character requires 5 hairspray and you have 10 hairspray you can either use it for the character that requires 10 hairspray or the character that requires 5 hairspray but you can’t use 10 hairspray for both characters.

I have been trying to get the headband for Rambo Lois for about 4 or 5 weeks and for many days on end would consistently have her doing the task; starting every two hours as soon as its finished. I managed to get 3 then suddenly they disappeared and I had none again. This was three days ago and since then Lois has been consistently kicking ass and I have the video store, but still nothing. I can’t move forward with the game as Rambo Lois is needed to unlock Trisha. It’s really grinding my gears now!

Try taking a break from her doing that action and try a different action (just to break it up). Also, did you get the Arcade yet? If you build the arcade that drops headbands as well.

If you are working on Tricia and 3 of your headbands just vanished, then you recently unlocked Anime Peter. That costume requires 3 headbands.

Anyone else having trouble getting eyeball for Anime Peter? I’ve really had no problem getting the other items listed under Ultra Rare, but have yet to get 1 eyeball after about1-2 weeks of having Peter and Doctor Hartman perform their actions on a constant basis. Can’t figure out if this is a user error, or if I just having been really unlucky.

It would be handy if the time it takes each character/building to get a chance at the stuff was listed. I noticed that it didn’t make sense to have Louis, Bonnie and Chris all generating Lipstick, I think it takes each of them 6 hours, but the Day Spa only takes 2 hours. There are other examples as well. I think the Wine and Jewels had similar cases.
