Good Morning Clammers!
So we’ve been seeing a few things back and forth in the comments over concern about collecting all the “stuff” to unlock the Pee Pants Inebriated Hobo Clown costume for Peter. With an event end time set for Sunday 5/4 and so many of each item to get many of you are worried it’s impossible to acquire everything, solely by playing freemium, by the time the event ends. Well let’s break it all down for you….
Cotton Candy: 60 are required to unlock Pee Pants. You can get this every minute from a Cotton Candy Stand. These cost $500 and you have have a max of 3 in your Quahog. You should have little difficulty getting all 60 of the require Cotton Candy.
Pies: 40 pies are required to unlock Pee Pants. You can earn 1 pie every hour from clearing clowns in Quahog (make sure Chris is free). From now (7am EST Friday) to Sunday at midnight (still a guess at this point, waiting for event end confirmation from TinyCo) if you tap 12-15 Grumpy Clowns/day (spawn every 1hr) you’ll have plenty of Pies to unlock Pee Pants.
Horns: 15 horns are required to unlock Pee Pants. You can earn 1 horn every 4hrs (at at least 2 can build up at a time while you’re away) if you can earn between 3-5 horns from tapping Surly Clowns/day (including the first day…I’ve already earned 3 just from tapping Clowns yesterday) you should have no issue getting enough horns to unlock Pee Pants.
Remember 2 clowns can build up in your town while you’re away…8 hrs worth. So that allows time for sleeping and when you wake up you’ll have 2 clowns to pie and collect horns from. If you wait another 8 hrs, after collecting, that’s another 2 clowns…and 4 clowns by the end of your work/school day. And then you can earn 1 more clown before going to bed that night, 4 hrs.
Earning the Pee Pants costume IS obtainable with out spending clams. It just takes some diligent tapping to collect all of the stuff you’ll need.

I don’t think the circus will come back but i’m 95% sure TinyCo will make the items required for PeePants drop from characters/buildings in future updates (probably in Funtown (District 8)…that would make the most sense)

for some reason I never have more than 2 clowns (one of each) saved up in my down when I’m gone more than 4 hours. Is this maybe because i still have the pirates walking around or what?

No. TinyCo confirmed yesterday only 2 clowns in a town at a time, it’s limitations of the game itself.

now that i have the pee pants costume, is this thing that’s showing up about having him jump through a ring of fire (if you buy it) & vomit & turn naked just a funny/laughable action or does it earn xp & or money when he does it ?

Do we have an end time for this even yet? I’m hoping its USA time as well as I’m in the UK and have less than 15 minutes (if its midnight end) to get ONE MORE pie, but so far no clowns!
I know its a different game but in my experience the Tapped Out limited quests have never ended bang on time, so maybe there’ll be time for extra pies!

I believe it’ll end midnight pst so 3am est. But that’s just my guess. I never got a confirmation on it.

well, i got the costume about an hour ago, & i did it without paying clams (which i do have btw.) for either of the items that generate the pies & the horns. so i guess that proves wrong all of you whining & bitching saying it can’t be done playing freeimum.

Hi, just an FYI, not everyone is bitching and whining. Some of us are just questioning how to get them all in time. Maybe not just say you gathered up enough items to unlock it already (so everyone else should be able to do it) is being a little vague. How did you do it? Did you wake up throughout the night to tap clowns? Were you able to tap every hour you were awake for the three days? Were your clowns generating while you were away or sleeping? Some of the players may have had no access to the game for a couple hours each day. Some of us had glitches (which we assumed everyone had) with clown not regenerating on time, and so on. And others are struggling because they are used to visiting their game 3-4 times a day and now they have to try to fit in 15-20 a day, which isn’t always feasible. Some of us had no problems. Others want things super easy and may complain, and others just want to be consistent daily players who still want to succeed at the events, even if it’s in the last few minutes.
Sorry to respond to just your post, many others have told people how easy it was for them and don’t get why players are asking questions or commenting. If I could change anyhting with this event, it wouldn’t be to make it longer, it would be to let clows build up to a certain amount(like in the beginning) or reduce the amount of pies to maybe 30. Not everyone will get it but those that make an effort to play a bit more than their average amount should succeed. I mean that’s the point, isn’t it, to get people to play more to increase the yearning to buy premium items. I am happy for all those that made it and have unlocked the costume…I only wish we could visit non-facebook friends to see what he looks like in action. I can only imagine. 🙂

After the original 10 close there is no build up of clowns for me. Only 1 pie clown every hour after I finish tapping and collecting and 1 horn clown every four hours after tapping one. I left my game for several hours friday night assuming they built up but only came back to one of each. That set me back and with sleeping there is not a chance I could visit the game 15-17 times a day. I currently need 17 pie & 4 horns and it’s Sunday at 10am.

There is a cap on the build up. It’s 2 of each and 3 total (I believe, that’s what people are commonly reporting)

So after sleeping for 6 hrs I expected to wake up to a bunch of clowns in my town since I saw your post about how they spaw. Well I only had two this morning. How am I going to complete pee pants? Since the challange started I have been very paciently playing the game and haven’t had a problem until this morning. Should I just give up since at this rate I won’t make it?

There is a cap on how many can be in your town at once. I believe it’s 2 of one kind and 3 total at a time

well, i just got screwed by the damn game! a pie clown showed up & i tapped it, chris did his bit but the clown didn’t drop a pie !! wtf??!

2 things. Are you maxed out in pies? And are you sure it didn’t drop just off to the side so you didn’t see it?

Are you sure the clowns all build up? Because after about 9 hours of sleep I only had one horn clown and two pie clowns this morning.

Seems right to me. It depends on when your last horn clown spawned. Game Clocks could be slightly off.

i have cleared the 10 clowns. i’ve got all of the cotton candy needed, i have 12/40 pies needed & 4/15 horns needed so hopefully i’ll be able to get the costume. on a side note, does anyone have any tips for getting eye shadow? i need 1 more to be able to craft hooker peter & i’m having a bitch of a time getting it! been trying for close to a week now!

No real trick unfortunately. I know people were having it drop faster this past weekend with the “sale”, but I also know some where having issues with it. How many Day Spas do you currently have?

That’s the best way to get more, because it’s the 1 building that drops it. But at this point, you only need 1 more you might be ok just waiting for it 🙂

do you happen to know what happened to mermaid peter? i was looking at the facebook page for the game & saw a screen shot of peter in a mermaid costume, but it’s not in al harrington’s outfits to craft for peter.

It will unlock (and appear) when you unlock the Pirate’s Cove. It’s considered “new stuff”

anytime. I have 2 games. 1 I rush through (about $300 worth of clams in it so far) to get the walkthroughs etc done. That game has everything unlocked. All districts and all costumes. My other game is my slower game, but I am currently through all the districts on that and working on the costumes now. 🙂

Nope they’re all still locked. They’ll require new districts to unlock. Right now civic center is the highest.

I’m sure this is discussed somewhere else and I missed it in my search… I’ve been playing on my iPad (wifi only) but because of the need to get on more regularly this weekend I loaded it to my iPhone. However, when I went to play, the game started all over again. That’s when I remembered that we don’t have the “log in” process like we do in TSTO. Is there a way to play this on multiple devices?

Yes there is. You’ll just have to get past the first part of tasks with Peter and Chris and get to the point where you see the Menu button (blue box, with 9 little light blue boxes inside). Once you get there tap on that box and login. 🙂

After Chris has “pied” ten clowns, the possibilities to collect pies and horns are gone. Now you need hundreds of clams to get the freakin’ costume. 😦

Have you cleared the 10 clowns already? Are you sure they’re not still spawning in your town? Just because the box disappeared from the task bar doesn’t mean they won’t still Spawn. Unfortunately, I’m not there just yet (still have a couple to clear, I started the update a little late) but I’ll check it out once I get there. 🙂
