Hello There Clammers!
So Stewie’s Tea Party is all about collecting STUFF to win prizes. The top prize of this event? Human Rupert is the 1 guest at the Tea Party that’s Stewie’s favorite…and is a whole new character for your Quahog!
So while there’s TONS of great stuff (ok semi-great stuff) in the Mystery Box to win, the one prize everyone is after is Rupert! Some of you are reporting winning him on your 1st or 2nd attempt, others (like me) not till your 6th or 7th. The good news, and something to keep telling yourself over and over again, is that with every “other” prize you win…you’re one step closer to unlocking Rupert. (plus you can get some cool premium stuff in the process)
So what happens when you finally unlock this half man-half bear character, 100% figment of Stewie’s imagination? Let’s take a look….
Once you win Rupert your Mystery Box will look like this…
As you can see it shows that you’ve won a Teddy Bear. What will happen is the bear will appear (drop) in your town, similar to the other toys of the event, and you’ll have to collect him (if you don’t collect him, it will auto collect). Once you collect him this box will pop up:
Placing him will take you to the store where you’ll see Human Rupert and the Bare Bear Tanning Salon listed for free. You place this in order to unlock Rupert and the Salon…
The Salon is 6×5 in size and earns $60, 40xp every 12hrs. (Note: some of you experienced the glitch where you could place unlimited Tanning Salons in your game for a period time. This glitch has been fixed, so no longer can you place unlimited Salons.)
Rupert will complete the Premium Character collection, so if you have all of the other premium characters you’ll earn a bonus 100 clams once you unlock him…
Human Rupert does not come with a questline, so it’s basically just a character placed in your town. Up to you to complete his tasks & level him up.
Once he’s in your town he’ll come with 1 task that’s unlocked at level 1. This is a 4hr task, and once complete he’ll level up to Level 2 and unlock an additional task (1hr).
Here’s a complete look at Rupert’s tasks and when they unlock:

After you’ve won Rupert you can still collect toys to earn other prizes from the Mystery Box (the Lobster Shanty, IMO, is the next best prize…since it’s a building that will earn you additional income & drops shells). However, just because you can still collect toys for prizes, does not mean you have to. It’s completely up to you if you want to keep going or not!

Very lucky considering how busy I’ve been- only able to open 3 boxes so far.

What I have found out is just get the one that cost 200 clams and fast track it, it only costs 2 clams to fast track.

10:00 PM Pacific Time (time for California where TinyCo is based). So use that to determine what YOUR time zone is and the time difference. 😉

So you are in Central Time Zone? Roughly after 6pm your time? So that means that you are TWO hours ahead of TinyCo in California. So if they say something ends at 8pm Pacific (west coast), that means it ends at 10pm Central for you. 2 hours difference. Does that help out?

10 Pacific time is 2 hours behind you. That’s the whole 2 hour difference. You are in another time zone. So 10 PM Pacific time is midnight your time. 😉

I feel so unlucky. I have seven prizes left including Rupert and Lobster Shanty but only four or five more chances left to open boxes!
Oh, and I got an announcement saying something is coming on the 24th. Judging by the graphic of Peter in a Superman outfit, I think there’s going to be a week or weekend long event commemorating San Diego Comic Con which is also happening this weekend.

However, I have just unlocked Asiatown (I started playing the week the Full Moon event started) and Bruce and Chris are starting to give me sparkles instead of the toys I need.
At least I got Lobster Shanty so I could finally get that last pesky seashell and make Mermaid Peter.

I’m starting to worry that I won’t get Rupert. I only was able to collect 2 parties the first day since they shorted us 2 hours and my event didn’t even appear until much later than everyone else. I only have 1 party left today and the 3 tomorrow. With my luck, I’ll get the rest of the stuff and Rupert will be the one item I can’t win. I’ll only be able to get 11 of the 12 items. Sucks too because I don’t want any of the remaining things. My remaining: Rupert, Stewie flower, Dansu Dansu, Koi Pond, and Pawtucket Ale Truck. Doesn’t look good.

First time poster, long time skulker;) just wanted to say thank you for the great site and all the work an effort everyone here puts in for all the tired tapping tips of fingers out there.
I’d also like to say that IMO, this is the best event yet. The inclusion of premium items for my grubby little hands definately puts this update a step above the others. Loving it, and believe this model should be one TinyCo uses in future updates/events. Still haven’t gotten Rupert, but picked up the Pawtucket truck, Herbert’s ice cream truck, a Stewie flower, and Peters Pirate car so far (really wanting a lobster shanty though;))

I failed at the Tea Party over the weekend because I didn’t really look at what needed to be done while I was busy. So because of that I’ve only opened two boxes; ale truck and an additional koi pond. I already had Gold Digger, Dansu, ice cream truck, Lobster Shanty and a koi pond before the event. I would like to get the pirate car and Rupert, but I suppose the chances are getting slim.

I’m confused lol. Since toys switch at 10 pacific. And I’m eastern and they switch eastern around 1am. Does that mean that the toys will still switch tonight. Or does it end. Because at 10pm pacific it will still be Monday when the switch is suppose to happen.

meanwhile… still no access to the game on my iPodTouch since July 4th. & no response other than automated from TinyCo. 😦
I hope they realize the longer I’m locked out the less likely I am to play it once I’m back up & running. that’s why I stopped playing a couple of games like MLP & Hay Day. They’re still installed & working now, but I got out of the habit.

Assuming the event would end tuesday at 10pm PDT, I would have 4 more attempts in getting Rupert. But I still have 6 possible gifts! I am dreading to think that he would be 1 of the 2 prizes I wouldn’t get! Knowing my luck, it is very much possible!

I am still collecting toys for the tea party. I am on box 8. As I said before, I placed two paid buildings then rushed my second box to see if I could win Rupert right after and WON RUPERT!! Then, the great CONSUELA CRASH of 2014 came and reset/rebooted/glitched my game. Bye-Bye Rupert. Bye-Bye 300 PAID CLAMS = Hi-Yah’s Dojo & Glam Bam Thank You Ma’am. (I bought these two buildings cuz what they drop are a pain to get during missions and figured I might need them in the future for costumes.) I spent $20 to buy clams and those buildings were on my shopping list that day. I was able to get a screenshot of the CONSUELA crash. I have contacted TinyCo through the help email address I’ve found on one of the posts and then I contacted them through the game itself. They gave me a generic answer to restart my phone as that would fix it. It did nothing. I’ve sent them several other messages and TinyCo will not respond to me. As time goes on I feel angry and I feel as if they stole money from me as they are ignoring/not responding to my messages which have all been kind btw. What do/can I do?
How would you feel if you spent $20, used 300 clams on 2 buildings & even more clams rushing to get Rupert, winning him, having the game crash and taking it all from you with NO HELP/CARE from TinyCo? (so sad right now.)

May I ask as to when you contacted them? I am curious as it was the weekend, so no one around minus the bare bones to keep the game up n running. So, if sent prior to today…they JUST got it today. Once they get it, it takes 24 to 72 hours to get in your game, locate issue, find corrective method, and then respond. They are really good at helping out, you just need to allow them the proper time to help. 😉

Im very sad. If I read one of the previous posts correctly, the event ends at 1am, and I only have one more box to open today since there’s only 3 a day. That means I only have 1 more chance left to get Rupert and there’s still six items that I don’t have yet. I’m really upset because I spent clams on topiary stewie, & now I’m not sure if I’ll get Rupert =(

I think you’ll have 1 more day. Remember 1am on the East Coast is only 10pm on the West Coast. So even though tonight the end time will be Tuesday for anyone East of the Central Time Zone in the US…it’ll still be Monday according to the game’s official time.

The time is in Pacific Time, so 1am EDT is 10pm PDT..ie while it’s Tuesday on the East Coast it’s still Monday on the West Coast…so I think you’ll have an extra day (at least) on it, but that’s just my thought on it. Waiting for word back from TC about the end time. Once I have it I will post it 🙂

I wish item descriptions in the store would tell you how long it takes for a building to be ready for tapping/harvesting… E.g. The Stevie topiary….it’ll drop a toy every harvest, but how long does it take to be ready?

Not sure we have an exact end time yet. Since it says that the event is over Tuesday and the reset time is 10PM PST, my guess would be that the even would end at 10PM PST Tuesday, which would be 1AM EST Wednesday.

I agree. There’s no way I can get him by the deadline especially as a freemium player. I did get the lobster shanty though so that’s a consolation. Too much to unlock, not enough time (sigh…)

Has anyone else noticed that Chris and the day kid hula hoop has now gone up to 4h 0m 1s? I assume that’s a cheap ploy to make you spend clams to get 24 toys in the time period per toy. Fortunately I got Rupert and lobster shanty in 3 go’s.
