Hello There Clammers!
TinyCo has dropped a little weekend mini quest in our laps to go along with the Comic Con Event. Here’s the deal:
More details below….WARNING Spoilers ahead
Basically restore:
– 100 Blam! (4hrs to restore)
-350 Blam! (8hrs to restore)
-1,000 Blam! (16hrs to restore)
And win this….
-Rocket is 3×3 in size. Will be placed in your inventory when you win it.
Total cost 1,450 Blam! and 28 hrs you could win the Rocket! (and yes you need to finish building everything before the weekend is over).
You have until the end of the weekend to win! (3 days, so Monday)
Pretty cool deal…hopefully something similar will be hitting for Android players too!
In addition to the weekend quest, a new Blam! earning premium decoration has been added.
Blam! Sommelier- 700 Clams, Earns 250 Blam!/8hrs
A few more sneak peaks at what’s to come have been released in the game as well….
So it looks like most of the fun won’t start until AFTER it arrives on Android… 🙂

Hi everyone! While I was less than enthused with the last FG event, this one just feels much better. I just finished my convention center, and was able to do all 3 buildings with 16 hours to spare. That says a lot for me in some of the changes with this event from the last. During the last event, I felt as if there was no point to playing if you weren’t willing to buy clams, and a lot of them. This time, I think I’ll spend some clams just to ensure that I can get everything through to the end, but the fact that I was able to do all three building in the three days WITHOUT spending clams! shows me that TinyCo is trying to listen to us Clammers who are frustrated with the prices and the forced premium game play 🙂

The good thing is that blueprints are cheap. If you can manage to get the rest of the stuff, you can unlock Stewie pretty inexpensively IF you have to. I’m not convinced Tiny will require Stewie to be unlocked for this event. Wouldn’t surprise me if mutant Stewie was more of a plot device than a playable skin.

Ugh! I lost my game after an update about two weeks ago and never created an account, but tinyco assured me they are trying to get it fixed. But i never got to start stewie, missed out on rupert, and am going to miss the begining of this event! Is it worth it to wait? Or should i just start over and lose the full moon item and rollerblade peter?

I’d wait a bit longer. Once TinyCo gets you back into the game they may credit you the items you missed out on or give you clams (I have gotten clams before). To start from level 1, would be torture for me personally. I’m patient, but not that patient. 😉

First coment! I am growing very conce4ned about being on android with this event and just wondered if a site moderator could provide some insider advice for me. I have found someone I could use to log on using iOS but I would love to know… Would this invalidate me receiving the “android only” release content that has been hinted at? Oris that content even really worth it????? Will I miss out on the spaceship given out this weekend or will I get another shot? Or is none of this information been given/hinted at from tinyco? These are major concerns for me personally but haven’t been able to find any info related to this sort of questioning. Any guidance would be grand!! 😉

Welcome first time commenter, glad you came here and have joined our merry group of silly Addicts. Lol We are not sure if doing the iOS/droid “loophole” trick will effect your “sorry you had to wait” gift (we don’t even know what said gift is). My guess, and remember, this is just pure speculation, when you download the “update” Thursday it (the gift) will be there waiting for you. I don’t think they have programmed in a feature that looks to see if the game has already been updated…it will just overwrite old data files. I believe you will get the same weekend mini event to earn the shuttle (I don’t see why not). The only difference I see is there will be to celebs waiting for you to unlock, where we ONLY had Patrick Stewart. Now, again, all this has been my educated guess, to play now or wait is a decision only you can make. 😉

I hope this is a new question and I’m not wasting your time by asking it again. (I did a search in the comments and it doesn’t appear to have been asked before.) When I have Peter “surf the bird” for a minute, I seems I should be getting $5, 3 XP and 1 Blam. I get the Blam and the $5, but I don’t see my get any XP icon or any other indication that my XP is increasing by 3 each time I complete the task. Usually I get an icon and my XP progress bar flashes between yellow and white indicating that the XP is being added to my progress bar. Is this a glitch or am I misreading what the rewards are for this particular task?

It’s a little bug that TC is aware of, but as yet, fixed. The XP icon doesn’t appear sometimes on the shorter tasks for some players, but it is being added behind the scenes to your character and total XP levels, however. 🙂

I need some confirmation! I loaded the event on an iOS, and due to that update (which I still think was intentional, loophole or not) I am able to play on my #TeamDroid device.
BUT!!!!!!
ON my #TeamDroid device, I was able to complete the final part of Golden Suit Peter’s questline. After hitting the yellow check mark and Peter finished polishing himself, I am able to STILL use GSP. He is in my Al Harrington costume list, I can select him, and I can do his tasks via my Droid.
Anyone else notice this?

This is true for all that can play on both platforms. As long as the GSP quest is started and past a certain point, it will carry over to your droid device (the original “loophole”) 😉

Ok…to finish unlocking Cleveland, place the house in your town. Cleveland will appear in front and you can continue to unlock him. Let me know if it worked. 🙂

When did you contact them? Over the weekend it’s hard to get in touch with someone in tech support usually, however if it’s a specific game related issue like this they should be getting back to you early this week.

Correct me if I’m wrong but ain’t the blueprints all but guaranteed if I send someone on an activity to collect them? I just had both Bruce and Herbert both get done with their quests and neither one dropped any.

They are rated as a “common” item, but there will be times it doesn’t drop. Happens to me also. It’s just more noticeable due to the time spent on each task to get them.

The one you win stays (and spawns extra nerds), the one in the “event” setup area leaves when the event ends. 😉

Haha, that’s just cheap and uncreative haha. They need to on the fly a change on this one. Because tech we are unlocking the same building twice.
On the other hand all my convention goers are being well protected with my condom machines everywhere around the center.
It’s like unlocking peters suit, then looks like we have to unlock him again..
It’s like we are doing 3rd grade busy work haha… And when Bunny reads this, yes we still need to get that pie 😀

I’ve seen a lot of frantic posts about not getting enough daily Blam to get 100k. Another topic is the ‘android getting one less week than iOS, ITS NOT FAIR’.

I would stop worrying about Blam accumulation. I would also stop worrying about Android getting the 'short end' of the stick.
Premium characters should get Blam tasks, costumes may get double, and Blam dispensers could get doubled/tripled and you have SIX characters (Takei's Blam would be moot) AND 3 costumes that will be added to your Blam accumulation, NOT to mention the Mutant Stewies.
Remember all the Full Moon gimmicks near the end to get you some butts. They are going to do something along those lines again!!!! I can't promise, but I'm 98% sure 😉 😛 ❤

I can’t find the comment, but I totally loved what you said about the premium (as they should) and freemium (as they should). You pretty much hit the nail on the head with that.
I’m wondering how many players unlocked King Butt (wasn’t the voice over for King Butt some contest winner?) freemium style. I assume that I am not the only one who accomplished that task, but I personally did not expect to be able to reach 100k in 30 days. I was ready to buy as many female mummy and jello shot task rushes as it took to hit 100k.
I think that Takei should, in fact, be neigh impossible to obtain via the freemium route (as it should be 😉 ), but I wouldn’t put it past Tinyco to allow a hardcore 3% of freemium players to do just that. Trial and error, research and knowledge through statistics is probably it’s own department over at Tinyco (as there should be).
I’ve already bought my last premium (Buzz) AND the sommelier so I do expect to hit 100k. I hope I’m not wrong!

It would be cool if we could puchase a coin version or a cheaper clam version of premium buildings that DONT drop items. I try to avoid item dropping buildings because I like the feeling of earning all of my ‘stuff’. (I did buy a Family Jewels. Hypocrit!!)

Lol…true, or sell ALL buildings first for coins, but let a few be capable of converting to “item dropping status” with a clam “upgrade” purchase. Then, both Freemiums and Premiums players would be happy about the same buildings.

Also, would it be possible to compile all the tips and place them them on a separate post for us Android users? I’m sure a lot of us have not been following all these comments and it will be a bit tedious trying to dissect over 300+ comments, not counting the other comments from previous posts. Just a thought, maybe a quick summary a day or two prior to Android release, that would be AWESOME 🙂

My Blam reset to zero after passing 1000!? Has this happened to anyone else? How do I fix this? I was saving this to open the convention center, and now it’s going to take another few days to get back up that high

Lol…maybe using clams. Peter’s 1 minute task pays the best per hour rate. I do it when I’m watching TV. I think Bunny is working on a calendar. She’ll be returning home today from her epic Comic Con adventure.

My first visit in two days. Instantly drawn to this math.
I’m leaning toward exaggeration on this but it’s possible I suppose. At best you are spending 2 clams to rush Captain Hammered’s 4 blam per hour.
After 5 days of blam dispencers and avid tapping you are looking at 1300 clams. You would be roughly around 7000 blam. Another 30k via rushed blam tasks is around 7500 clams. If you spend 8800 clams (250$$ish), youve spent clams to unlock CH and bought building/items direct so another 300-700 clams.
300 bucks and tedious task rushing would put you in the 35-39k range. So it’s deff possible. 🙂

Oops, made an error. Rushing 30k BLAM tasks would be 15000 clams at 2clams:4blam ratio. If there is an hourly 5blam/hr task, you are lookin at 12000 clams.
So more like $450-600 (to be around 35-40k BLAM).

Rushing the best blam generator is 16 clams each time for 250 blam each. 6400 clams total for 100k blam. Little over $200 in clams gets you 100k blams. Which I’ve done because I wanted George that bad.

Oh and he isn’t voice acted yet… He has no sounds only actions. 😦 I’m sure this will be fixed though as they didn’t figure someone would unlock him so fast, but I’ve seen a few other people unlock him too.

Thursday the 31st is the android release date. Don’t need Stewie. Yes, it’s fun and you’ll enjoy it. Just read the tips and continue working on district 8 for now. 😉

Sounds like a memory issue. Make sure ALL other apps are hard closed, nothing running in the background.

I need some advise guys and girls. I currently play on my iPhone 5s. My husband and I both play this and tsto regularly( like they’re crack) and we have been concidering getting a small tablet just for games etc. I love apple and iOS but I have been really concidering an android to have the experience with both. My cell provider currently has a samsung galaxy tab 3 for a really good deal if we add them to our plan but I don’t know a lot about them. Anyone had any experience with the tab3 that can help us out? Good or bad idea? Alissa I know your an android lover what would be your personal recommendation for us? All help will be much appreciated and considered. Thanks in advance!

Lol…I KNOW Alissa will suggest the Samsung. I play on an iPad 4. The only problems I have had were on TinyCo’s end (same problems everyone has experienced). Not a single problem with the device. Also, no TSTO problems except, again, on their end. Let’s hear from our galaxy Tab3 using friends now. 🙂

Love, love, love my man’s Samsung Galaxy! I started playing this game on my first gen tab, a Vizio, and had to commandeer my man’s tablet to log in at a certain point. I’ve played around w its settings, features & usability. I really like it. Think you will, too. Smooth & user friendly. Hope that helps! Enjoy the perks of becoming a “hybrid player!!” (I haven’t yet done this.)

Like clevelandbrownx (a few posts down), I linked to ios then came back and the 3-day timer started. I know that this post is based on starting the quest chain ASAP (which I didn’t do because I made the stealth link-up on Saturday), but do you think my late 3-day timer is legit? Or do you think they’ll cut it off at the end of today? I’m not sure if I should use clams to speed up the rocket when I start it (only have about 800 of the 1000 I need for it, and it’s 2:30pm EST). What do you guys think?

Awww…Thank You for your kind words (and true, we are all addicts here). Now to answer your first question. When the banner first came up for me, it had Monday written on it as the deadline and my timer confirmed the timeframe. But now, I’m not sure if everyone gets a fresh 3 day timer when they first get the challenge. I’d hate for you to waste clams needlessly speeding things up. This is a call you’ll just have to make yourself. But, if you have a timer running, it would make me think the time shown is legit.

Thanks for your reply. I’ll take my chances waiting, then. I essentially play for free but I have some clams since I spent the $5 on that early quest, more to get rid of it in my quest list than for the coins or clams. So while I have the clams, I’d prefer to spend them on a character or two than a rocket.
That being said, I’m done rambling; I’ll check in again just to let you all know what happens with the rocket. The information could be useful in the future so I’ll make sure to reply again in slightly less than 16 hours (just started the convention center, with a theoretical 1 day, 18 hours left on the quest).

Got my rocket! I didn’t lose the quest after 1am (I think that’s the soft reset time on things for the east coast) so I had a feeling from then on that it would work.
Did I beat the timer?!
Now I have another question, unrelated but since I have this little thread here I hope you don’t mind my asking. Tell me if you’d rather me repost this somewhere else.
When I went onto my brother’s iPad to get the update, I also picked up the quest Fool’s Gold, and learned it’s only available for ios. Now that I’m back to playing on my GS4, I can’t do anything about it; the quest just sits there, never able to find release in my placing a golden pool.
Now I could temporarily procure an iDevice to complete that one quest, but are there (any/many) other iDevice-only quests that I don’t know about?

Yup…you beat the timer…lol If you go back into your brother’s iPad, complete the quest and buy the pool. You will have both GSP & pool in your game when you return to your GS4. No other iOS exclusives at this time. 🙂

I have a Samsung galaxy s3 and the Comic con event showed up and I am able to play it. Now my load screen is still the old one, but all the new event stuff is there. I thought it wasn’t supposed to start for android users until the 31st. Not complaining, but very excited!

Need advice… I have held off spending precious Blame! on the furry building. Am I holding any triggers up by not working that quest line? I think I might not do that quest line until after Friday when I have a better sense of the next game phase. Thanks for any thoughts on this strategy, and this great community!

Sitting at close to 6000 total Blam collected right now. Have Patrick, the space shuttle, the Furry house and am currently building the Cat and Mouse Internet cafe. I bought the Super Truck and the Blam bar. I really wish I had not bought the truck and just used 200 more clams on another Bar. I bought the super truck day one, when there was no bar yet. I got suckered. I can’t say that I am loving all the prizes on this one, like I did with the King Butt update. I probably won’t be working hard to get the top one. Will the celebrities be staying in your town after the event? Do you guys know if the Clamterprise will be unlocked? Seems odd that the coolest item so far, is not available to be placed in the town.
Side note, I really hate that I can’t get the Fart of the Covenant anymore. I didn’t even know it existed till after the event. Tiny Co should put things like that in the store section as well as some items from past events, for players that never got a chance to play the game when these were going on. They only stand to make money out of it!

Any character or outfit you unlock is yours to keep after the event ends. No word on the clamterprise, but you never know….remember the sandy pyramid surprise. 😉

2 more hours before i get the rocket and i just unlocked superman peter. So far the drop rates seem reasonable except for pizza. I’ve only scored 4 of them so far. The only problem i have now is to choose which character or building to release based on blam! amount. I feel like the blam! rate is kind of slowing down. Hope they’ll pick up again once every platform are able to play.

Just 15h30m till I get the free rocket. Somehow I’m still missing out on Plutonium, Lois and Brian are constantly doing there task to earn some Plutonium but I only managed to get 1/10 😦
Is anybody else having this problem? The epic items earlier on in the game were more likely to drop in my opinion.

Sometimes, when new events are updated, it does indeed feel like it effects the drop rates pre-update. Send a message to TC, doesn’t hurt to ask and you never know…It could be a mini bug. 🙂

I’ve had Brian and Louis trying for plutonium since stewie became available, I’ve only got 6/10 so far, so you’re not the only one. It’s just time and luck! Keep at it thought you’ll get there eventually!

I too only have gotten 1/10 and I have had Brian and Lois doing their activities and I haven’t gotten a single drop of plutonium. The last one I got was before the update it does seem like there’s either something wrong or they labeled it as a extra rare instead of what should have been an epic item. I have sent a message to TC and I haven’t gotten a response from them yet. I hope I hear back from them soon because I really want to unlock Stewie before the update on Thursday which I’m trying really hard to be patient and understanding so far.

I have had the same issue. Lois has been seeking vengeance and Brian has been scooting for a week! I play hourly and I only have 3. Kinda ridiculous. Hourly player here, but not shelling clams out for the store.

First time poster here, love the site.
My only real gripe thus far is that, for those of us who have chosen not to be super-premium players (maybe if I had a boatload of disposable income), we seem to miss out on a lot of cool content. I’m uninterested in special buildings for the item drops (a little patience goes a long way, after all, and the only thing I’ve missed out on so far is Pee Pants), but these buildings are so well designed that I wish there were an option to purchase a version of them with coins. I almost bought pLace for that reason, but better judgment plugged the hole that was burning in my pocket.

In the same vein, I really hope we get to keep a version of the Convention Center and (especially being a big Star Trek fan) the Clamterprise.

Welcome first time poster, long time reader. What took you so long? Lol….I agree, even though I’m a premium player, I do wish they offered more “coin” purchase options during normal district unlocking periods and weekend events. I get it during long events, because that’s when they earn most of their income (business is business). Now don’t go back into the mist, stay out and play…we love hearing new opinions and ideas. 🙂
I also hope we get a version of the Clamterprise (like when we got the sandy pyramid)

I too would like the item drop buildings, minus the item dropping for a big discount or soft currency.
I wont pay to rush something patience will give me. And the prices for just the decoration (bldg income inconsequential) is way too high for my blood.

I unlocked everything all the way up to George takei and the rocket is not in my inventory! I saw the pop up that I won it and my game froze had to hard reset. What is going on?! I check my inventory Everytime I open the game, and nothing! Very frustrating.

Same thing happened to me, hard close, turned of device, turned everything back on. Was in my inventory on the far side. Check your “cart” also, just in case some reason it got placed there. If nothing, send in game message to TC.

When I went to get my shuttle, the game crashed. I couldn’t find it either. I did a hard close, turned off my device…then powered everything back up. It was in my inventory, on the far side. Give this a try. 🙂

Here’s a cool bit of info. It’s also kinda a spoiler for some so if you don’t wanna know about Patrick Stewarts tasks read no further.
Anyway, one of his tasks says requires thinga mu gadget. Guess this is a new store coming soon? But we’ve seen tinyco hint at things before that never came so I guess it could change. But my quahog could use a gadget store now that I think of it…

Hi All! Wishing everyone a great Sat nite! On my way to getting the shuttle countdown 15 hrs! Other than exuberant clams for certain things, guessing its inflation LOL, i am having more fun with this event than i ever did with the full moon! Cyber, sorry my friend but i decided against the FB! i am going to bide my time for now and see what TC does! i’ll prolly get PS and Stewie sometime next week i hope! Yeah, I don’t “Blam” you..lol I hate FB and had never made an account. But when this game came out, I caved and made a “gaming” account. Just so I could get stuff from visiting friends. Hopefully they will have something like their own “Origin” like system.
I’m on the fence right now about the “Blam” items, but will probably end up getting all three. Don’t see any other way to get “Sulu”. Who I really want.

I don’t know if this works for everyone, but when I click on him, Patrick Stewart randomly calls me by Name in the game! He says
“Use a The Force Harry!’
Then last night he used my name in another sentence only once, and i haven’t been able to get him to repeat that line again.
Has anyone else noticed this?
If not, Maybe it only works for certian names.
At first I was wondering how he got my name, but then realized it’s right there in my Facebook log in.

Wouldn’t you think the game knew your name if you heard Patrick Stewart call it out?
I used to play a game called Black & White, a game made by the guy who made populous and came out about 2001, and one of the many hidden eastern eggs in that game, if you play late at night, you hear your name hauntingly whipered in the wind when the wind blows.
But only if your name was on the list of names in the game.
But at that point I hadn’t read through the hint book and didn’t know this.
I was in game zombie mode item grinding when it first happend with the game playing in 3D sound mode.
At around 3am I thought I heard someone behind me whisper my name..
Obviously nobody behind me.. (And it didn’t even occur that it was from the game)
A few minutes later, closer and louder and from a different direction,I turned again, nothing..
After the third time I turned off my speakers.. Obviously I heard nothing.. Was it from the game? Nah.. How could the game know my name, half an hour later.. Well you can guess..
Ast 5am I was finishing up and turned off the power to the speakers, it happend again, and without power, it was obvious it was from the game.
When I was more awake the next day I read the rest of the guide for info on this and had forgotten I had set it up for online play, and used my real name to set it up, (before Facebook)
So I had thought it was the same thing with Family Guy.

Thanks :). did you ever hear the wind blowing, and you swear you hear voices in it, and each time you try to listen the words fade to just wind blowing.. Well, I forgot to mention that it was also stormy outside my house so that made it hard to pin down where the voices were comming from, you see, the game has one added feature..
The game also linked to the local weather, so what happens in the game matches what’s happening outside your house!
That’s why I turned of the game sound to find the voice calling me, either that or there were more ghosts in my house than I thought there were.

just a note for those starting late (like me) i started today at noon, and roughly the timer for my 3 days runs until tuesday noon… so for those running late to the event you aren’t on a shortened clock to get a space shuttle

Mine is showing 1d 16h, that’s great if you end up with more time. But it might be a glitch with the timer. Make sure you try to unlock all three early (just in case) 😉
