Final Thought:
Personally, I do like the look of the bar. Adds some cool design element to the town. Not to mention the animation of it. I am just not sure on the cost of Clams. It is QUITE steep for an event item in my opinion. It is however cheaper and better payout than the two Super Trucks. The Blam! payout is the best out of the 3. For me, it is just too early in the game to be making such an investment without seeing what else will be offered. For those that just don’t care and want it ALL, and want it RIGHT NOW! This is the investment to do. Buy it and pay the 16 Clams continuously (400 times) to hit the 100,000 Blam! But 6400 Clams is quite a cost, so open your pocket book wide. Lol. You can use it better on its 8 hour clock to just add extra Blam! to your count and hit the 100,000 faster. Play the game and earn the Blam! for free. Overall, I would say this may be more for the completionist.

With it being part of a Limited Time Event, just make sure you make up your mind as once the event is over it is most likely they will be gone. In the end it’s your call.  What you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only guide you on the facts and let you know what we did and what we think.  But don’t purchase it until YOU are sure. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

  1. At 100 clams this decoration would have been extremely tempting, but do they really feel this one decoration is worth over $20.00???

The clam pricing structure on this game needs serious retooling.

  2. The payouts for these premium items are just not worth it. 200 clams for one blam truck gets you 150 blam daily; over 40 days that’s 6000 blam. Hardly enough to make a dent in the 100000 blam total, yet it costs about $8.50 to buy. Yes the sommelier is better with 700 clams ($20+) for 16000 clams over 40 days, but still ridiculous. I know you dont have to buy them…but if they made the prices and payout more reasonable more players would buy them.

I tried contacting them about this and complaining that most of the characters especially premium are worthless during this event, and their reply was just about the blam turning into butts when visiting neighors (which i didnt even talk about).

I want to like this game but its hard to do when they make it impossible to complete events without shelling out ridiculous amounts of real money.

  3. I definitely do not want to buy this, because it would involve giving TinyCo money. As they seem bent on making this game less enjoyable by putting rewards out of reach, I feel that giving them my hard earned money would be rewarding a broken system.

    • Sorry you feel that way. Feel free to express to them your take on the game through your in game menu, help & settings, contact TinyCo. They do look at all feedback.

I do know that this is a different type of game then people may be used to. So it is ok if you do not like it. Not everyone likes all games, so a variety is out there. Games are meant to be enjoyed. Regardless, you are always welcome here. 😉

  4. I bought a big truck… But for anyone on the fence about buying one… Just remember, the longer you wait, the less blam it will get you. If you wait a week to buy it, you could have collected all that blam from the building all that time… Since it’s a long event, it makes sense to buy it early, or not at all. Also take into consideration how much time you devote to the game.. If you play multiple times a day, every day, you probably won’t need the buildings… If you’re once or twice a day, or miss days semi often, you really should get the blam buildings.

    • All good info. It all boils down to how YOU play the game and what YOU want out of it. Just spend those Clams wisely and don’t waste them. 😉

  5. That’s exactly what I was wondering myself.. event seems fun and with all the skins and extras that will be around i could possibly break my “freemium” only habits for TQFS… but I just know if I spend and drop the money for clams to get a sommelier then they will turn around and give Android users one for free as an apology! and all the clams I could use to speed up the limited characters would be lost.. and of course if I do nothing then they will give us 2 sets of “lights” or something after it’s too late to catch up by buying the wine bar. oh well, just a game i guess but it would be nice to get everything… then again maybe I should just shut up since i lucked into a Rupert on my last chance in the extension when i had a 1 in 4 shot. =)

  6. I bought Ron Perlman’s trailer today. Then I reorganized my town and visited my friends’ Quahogs. I came back to my Quahog and saw a hammer over the flags that are in the Comic Con display. I paid for it and used clams to speed it up because I was so excited! It revealed Ron Perlman and now I am collecting film and puppies to get him in the game. I came here straight away hoping to find an article on it, but I didn’t. So I wanted to share my findings with the community! How can I share a screenshot??

  7. They just released the new buildings and gimmicks. Ugh..every week they are gonna beg players for $20 more dollars? This is ridiculous. At least have all the new buildings give Blam with a chance of clams.

    • You do not HAVE to buy anything. Putting cash into the game is up to you. Similar to any other game, you will have main free content…then exclusive special for those that do like to pay. That way there is something for everyone. Play the game the way that suits YOU and what you like. 😉

  9. For the Full Moon event, I bought the Lavish Magma Shrine right at the start and was looking to do so with whatever the equivalent of that item was for the Comic -Con event. However, 700 clams (roughly $22!) seems like an absolutely insane price tag to pay for a single item in ANY game. The fact that I could go to a store and pay that same price for a full Game Of The Year edition of a console game (an entire game, plus all of it’s DLC) puts this asking price into perspective for me. I simply can not justify spending that amount of cash on a single in-game item for a limited time event. The shame of it is that, had they simply kept the same prices as the Full Moon event, I would have gladly handed over my money to get this and some other items for the event as well. I have been putting about $40 into this game every month since it launched on Android, but seeing this kind of price tag makes me reluctant to continue that trend. I simply don’t feel as though I’d be getting the best value for the money spent. I think I’m gonna just wait and see if they lower the price at some point or maybe offer something more affordable and worthwhile down the road.

  10. Just to say my game updated and I now have latched stewies going around onto buildings and stopping you from collecting from it. You need batteries to power up your laser gun to defeat them. Plus I’m fixing a flag for a celebrity. Crazy

  11. Well at last Android players can play 🙂 andcloving it, fortunatly off work today so been playing most of the day, had a few jobs to do but what the heck they will keep. Updated the enterprise decoration and the hotel and started the convention centre, did not think I could do so much in one day, loving it 🙂 and got the bar, put it next to my hotel with my 2 disco floors and spot lights in front of the bar and looks pretty cool. Dont think I could have done as much without the bar. Keep up the good work tiny, love simpsons too but nothing much happening so neglected it today.

I’m waiting to get paid this weekend before I buy it, but I will buy it. For me, it’ll not only make the event less stressful, but also if we get to the last day and I’m still a fee thousand short, I could always just speed it up a few times to close the gap. Plus, now I might actually be able to sleep throughout the night and still get George 😛

I bought the sommelier as well. Always great to have another female in my town. The more the merrier! :). Plus, 750 Blam! per day (250 every 8 hrs. x 3) per day for 700 clams, is ultimately a better buy than the super truck 400 Blam! per day (100 every 6 hours x 4) for 400 clams. Although I bought the super truck, too, because it looks freakin’ cool! :). The regular truck, however, is a pass for me– 150 Blam! per day (25 every 4 hours x 6) for 200 clams. Clearly, the sommelier, has the best output for the investment in the long run for this event. Hope that helps those who are thinking about which one to get.

  15. When you say that it’s “gone with the event” does that mean if we buy it the item will still disappear once the event is over or that you can’t buy it after the event? Thanks!

    Like

    • It means it is an item within an event and once the event and you can only purchase it during the event. So if you want it, you need to buy it while the event is active. Once the event is over any items you purchase will remain with your town. Ones not bought go with the event. Did that help make better sense of it?

  16. I bought 2 to out of the gate but still afraid I may not make the deadline with 39 days left (39×24)/8=117. 117x500blam is still only 58,500 and that’s if I can manage to wake up mid sleep like most of my nights are with this game! Addict…

    • Man, you need to join Bruce’s Fretters Anonymous group. You bought 2 & are worried about making the cut? If you play at all, you will have takei probably before mutant stewie makes an appearance. I had no fun on the jello shot part of the full moon event because it was a foregone conclusion I would get the reward. Don’t stress it. Just set alarms for 7 a.m., 3 p.m. & 11 p.m. & you don’t have to lose a wink of sleep.

  17. I bought one as soon as it was available on my iPad Mini Retina. Of course, the first thing I did was put the Party Camel right beside it… Works beautifully!! As well, the lava hot tub goes great as an accessory.
I disagree with your one comment about it being too early to make a decision. With items that generate event-specific currency the idea is that you either invest right at the beginning to get the best return, or you don’t purchase it at all.

  18. I bought the biggest magma shrine straightaway in the full moon event & I already knew I would surpass 100,000 well before it was announced king butt would cost 100,000, of course it doubled its output a week into the event. If the sommelier station doubles its drop rate, it will make getting takei very easy.

I figured at the end of the full moon event I could have gotten the 100,000 without the shrine but it would have been close. With an extra 8 days on this event, I don’t know if I want to spend 700 clams for this. That’s very steep compared to the 400 for the magma shrine. I’m going to wait a couple days see what new pops up this weekend (Friday midnight?) before I make my decision.

On an aside, I got my final plutonium & stewie is now hatching his mischievious plans in my Quahog. Mwahahaha!

    • Nice! I think the next couple of days will show if it’s worth investing in or not. It depends on the various other ways TinyCo provides to earn Blam! as the event moves on 🙂

  19. What is the spawn rate of the nerds? Every morning after six to eight hours I only have 12 blue, 2 yellow and 2 red when I open the game yet my friend has up to eight of the yellow & red nerds every morning. Both of us are playing on iPads.

  20. I bought it immediately when the event went live for android for the simple reason ive seen my wife play for a week and after looking at the blam calender I thought this might give me a better chance at completing this event especially since we are already a week behind on blam collection

    • Makes sense in your reasoning. Think this is one I’m going to pick up in my A game as well. I didn’t update that until it hit Android (since it’s linked to my phone and I didn’t want to mess around with changing games all over the place). I’m starting to wonder if TinyCo’s “gift” might be a Blam! generating item like this. That would be a sweet gift to Android users! (can you imagine your blam! count with 2 Sommelier stations?) 🙂
