Update 7:15pm EDT: There is a new questline involving Stewie and Time Travel in our games tonight. This is basically a little questline to keep us tapping for now. Once complete District 9 (at least as of this moment) is still not open. It’s a fun little questline and I believe it’s a prelude to District 9. The Precious Metals questline is 4 parts and 29hrs long. It solely involves Stewie. Full walkthrough is below the fold below.

District 9 is NOT open yet….think of this as a preview. It’s coming….
When will it be here? We don’t know. My guess is next week…but TinyCo has been known to do some crazy things so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s this week. However, at this time we don’t know when it will hit.

Is Stevie’s new “precious metal” questline the trigger for district 9? Or it it just something to tide us over until the district opens??
I just sent Stewie on a 24-hour task and I don’t wanna waste clams if it is just a random task line to keep us occupied.

Any word on if TinyCo plans to adjust the zooming when district 9 opens? Can’t seem to zoom in or out very much anymore. I wish we could zoom out as much as we were able to when Comic-Con started. Not sure why it was adjusted to begin with. Thanks!

Matters little to me. I am still early in District 5. Could use time to catch up, but I know the long term players hate to be board. I hope Tinyco takes a page from EA’s book and slowly makes it easier to unlock characters the longer they have been in the game.

Well, I have unlocked all land and have a couple of hundred k of cash so I want it soon. Today I have started to restore Quahog to its pre event state with actual roads and no huge bombing ground in the middle. What I lack is space to expand and make a nice looking town, I have far too many buildings and other props after the event and a serious lack of free space now.

To be honest, I don’t see the downside of releasing it this week.
What’s a way to one up TSTO? Keep releasing content at a brisk pace. I understand, “it’s only a week”. However, if you can release it this week, why hold it back? Plus, I honestly think it fits in a better time table. Look at it this way:
We all know Halloween will be coming to Quahog. I think everyone can agree that is a given. Personally, I would think they may want to avoid releasing a new district right when a new event is going to start (akin to how ComicCon started before some people had finished Stewie and District 8). My guess, Halloween would start the first week of October, which if that’s the case, and District 9 opened up this week, would give everyone about 3 weeks to complete District 9 before the Halloween event starts. On top of that, if my memory serves me, Stewie wasn’t advertised that long before his release. Why advertise for District 9 and it’s denizens if you’re just going to release it next week? I understand it gives people something to look forward to, but it seems to cause more “I want it now”, “Why isn’t it out yet?” type comments.
My hope? District 9 releases this week with an extra strip of land. Halloween content launches first week of October (Halloween content usually lasts 3-4 weeks).
Back-Up plan: A lot of land is released this week; District 9 is released next week.
Really hope it’s the former though!

Would love it tonight but odds are it will be Friday..can’t remember the last time something hasnt dropped on a Friday since before the full moon event. People that want itnext week so they can take a break? Um simply ddon’t play the game for a week lol. Have a feeling it will take days to clear land and repair whatever structure a character is standing next to..and if they are as tough as Stewie to unlock or harder (which history has shown they get harder each time)..the sooner the better. Did they not also have a coin box after the last event? Know newer players probably don’t have much coinage but longtime players do..I’m about to hit 800k

I have a feeling, and I hope I’m wrong, but I think that the five other characters Barbara, Neil, Jillion, Death, and Evil Monkey are gonna be premium characters. The reason I think this is because in the box for District 9 it says unlock Tom Tucker, Mayor West, and Several other favourites, plus with each new district there’s usually 2 new characters for that district, and there’s only 5 new characters all in one group in Facespace, the same amount as in the first set of premium characters. But as I said, this is just me taking a guess, and I really hope I’m wrong as I’ve already spent quite a bit on this game already.

Bring on district 9 asap! All land has been cleared, even the expensive strip along the water with still over 300,000 coins left over. Not too much more collecting for bonnie, all I need are some heels and fishnets. The 5 extra rare waxes came really quickly vs. rollocop’s 5 extra rare microchips – those took FOREVER. There seems to be alot of inconsistencies with the drop rates which I hope are getting smoothed out.

I love that. 9 is opening ! Though I am hoping they don’t make the land expensive to clear, since many have been bragging about their mother load of coins during comic con…not everyone has tons of coin, since we didn’t start playing on day one opening…and we have to go to work : )

Piece of advice, i personally built 200+ standard offices and farmed money for a while, well over 2mill now, so i deleted the buildings, but its an easy way to get some extra cash. Hope it helps 🙂

I’m ready now. The only thing I’ve got going is slowly clearing those expensive plots at the top. Four more of those to go but I think I’ll save my coin for D9. I’ll be running 4 hr or less character tasks towards the end of this week so they’re not tied up long in case they do pop the district.
