Peter kicks this off by a quick lil dialog with Brian. (My Peter is still all distorted and makes me giggle.)
You will notice a crate dropped into your Quahog, when tapped it will pull up the info for this limited time Clam paying event.
UPDATE: The Crate WILL go away when the event ends. 😦
The Wild Quahog Weekend Event that runs from now til Monday, 3PM EDT, (FYI…ALL 4 of these are just decorations.)

So basically you have the option to purchase 3 new animals for your town that if you buy before 3pm EDT Monday, will give you the Coked-Up Giraffe for Free.
Dumb Beaver: Not the brightest Beaver, he once built his dam on top of a water treatment plant. 25 Clams. 4 x 4 base. The animation for this one is the Beaver sitting there looking around and blinking. When you tap on it, he pulls out a stick to chew on and creates a leak in his dam and quickly slams the stick back in.
Dancing Porcupine: A porcupine who wants to make sweet, juicy love to a pineapple. 75 Clams. 4 x 4 base. The animation on this one, the Porcupine kind of dances next to the Pineapple. When you tap on it, the Porcupine strokes the Pineapples “hair” and kisses it. “Hey good looking, where have you been all my life? Hhehehehheeheh.”
Live Studio Ostrich: The next best thing to a laugh track. 150 Clams. 4 x 4 base. The animation on this one is the Ostrich sitting on the steps kinda laughing now and then. When you tap it, he claps and “woots” with his wings.
(You CAN buy more than one of each.)
So what exactly to you get for forking out 250 of your precious Clams? Once you purchase all 3, Quagmire will close out the quest…
…and the Coked-Up Giraffe will be placed into your inventory.
Coked-Up Giraffe: The Health industry’s favorite giraffe for commercial voiceovers. One Free with purchase of the Beaver, Porcupine, and Ostrich. 4 x 4 Base. The animation on this one is the Giraffe marching in place. When you tap it, he snorts “a lil something” off his hoof and goes “nuts”.
If you want more of the Giraffe, you CAN buy him after the initial “Free” earned one for a cost of 250 Clams each.

I am very disappointed with this. I bought all of them thinking that I would get the giraffe as a playable character or something, and none of them do much at all. Very upset and irritated that I spent my clams on this. I wish if we wanted to sell them we could at least get some of our clams back and not coins…

The crate brought them here. You can still buy more than one. The crate (as stated in my post) will go when the sale is over.

I really wish I would have know that he wasn’t playable, I wish TinyCo would give you clams back instead of coins if you chose to sell them back. Those decorations were not worth my 250 clams 😦 , even if they could like give you back like 75-100 clams out of the 250 that I spent. At least something, I looked at the coins you get when you sell them and its not much at all.

I wish I would have read this post before I bought them, and I knew the beaver, ostrich, and porcupine weren’t playable, but I thought the giraffe was going to be, that’s why I bought them.

My giraffe you’re s huge when I’m in “move stuff around” mode but when I switch to regular view he becomes tiny. Like the size of Jake Tucker. Also the ostrich is all jumbled like Peter. Hope I’m not the only one with this problem… Reading through the comments though, it seems like I might be the only one who bought them.

Don’t worry, I bought all of them too and I’m having the same issue. The ostrich is all distorted and the giraffe is normal sized in edit mode but when you finalize your placement he turns smaller than the rest of the animals. I’ve restarted and rebooted, still same issue.

It’s a real shame the ostrich doesn’t say his catch phrase, that’s what made him funny in the show! I’m hoping it’s a glitch that will be fixed or maybe if we ask TinyCo nicely they can add it in anyway, he does cost clams after all. I’d be tappin’ him for days if they did!!

I’m sorry but since none of these are playable characters such as decorations tiny toes and getting any of more of my clams I purchased both Cranston and Nathan during comic con and I now have over 300 clams left after my purchases and free clams won during the event but I’m not going to waste them on these Buy a plot everything they did during the comic con event and everything they provided freemium players with this is just how we can event design purely for profit because all it literally is is purchasing items for clams

I don’t mind spending money on clams. Blew over $100 on Comicon but I’ll be skipping this. Tinyco needs to be more reasonable with their pricing. I prob wouldn’t even spend 75 clams on this collection, let alone 250…
They could at least reward their premium players with some clams here and there. Make premium characters have a chance at dropping clams. I spent 750 on BC and NF. Dropping a clam here and there wouldn’t hurt their bottom line and it would be some incentive for me to spend ore money.

I play the meg version (no money no friends no facebook ) my clams are far to precious to waste on half -a – laugh side items like these. There are far too many more important things to spend them on like dagger mouth crippletron or buzz Killington. Sorry but it’s a no go.

Character actions so far… just had got my mutant stewie traps out of the way and rearranged everything to put all my comic-con swag in my town so haven’t moved any buildings yet.

So you are having issue clicking on a character and dangling them around in the air while you replace them to another spot? Is that correct? If so, what is the issue. Can you not select them? Etc…

When I click the character and their action list or task list or whatever its called comes up, when I try to move the little action bubble over their head to start a task, it just moves randomly. I have to try several times before it will work. Have force stopped and even rebooted tablet. Sorry it took so long to reply, had to go to my second job, what with TQFS being my first and all lol.

Have you messed with your sensitivity settings on your tab to see if that makes a difference? Outside that, if you saved your game to an email or Facebook…try an uninstall reinstall then log into the saved game. Sometimes a refresh helps.

This isn’t a “weekend event”, this is TinyCo directly trying to pick the impulsive players pocket… It’s disappointing they don’t even try to justify it as an event.
I mean I know it’s optional and all that, but this isn’t the first time they’ve done this and it doesn’t make me think too highly of them.

They are just offering items for people that may want them. They DID just give away a ton of stuff for Freemiums for Comic Con. They also need to cater to Premiums too. Doesn’t mean you have to buy it. Some of us that WANT to spend Clams do want random items to spend them on. 😉
Nothing different than any other game. Someone has to pay the bills. If it all was just for free, the game wouldn’t last.

The crate image didn’t load for me and the pop-up announcing the event is all screwed up. The giraffe is way out of position at the bottom of the window covering the other animals.

Mine was actually behind a building. Keep looking, it may be behind one if yours. I only found the crate after I went to move my Ink and Stationary building over to the far side and right behind it was the crate. I thought “wtf is this thing?” Tapping it gave the short time message. It’s there.

Laughed at Peter too but tinyco fixed the texture glitch for guard tower on android. I seem to have a wooden animal transport box behind Peter’s house. Is that a free decoration?

The prices for these decos are completely insane in my opinion, and particularly the ostrich. They’re all pretty cool choices for memorable show elements, though.
I still find it quite disappointing that we get loads of new random stuff like this and still have no pavements and wider selection of trees and plants which would be helpful for designing a life-like town. I find myself stuffing most of these (often out-of-scale) decos won as event prizes in inventory just to reduce the clutter in my Quahog.

For a sec, when Peter mentioned Jumanji, I got excited and thought Robin Williams will be added in the game posthumously. It would have been a great tribute for him. Got the beaver for 25 clams and added him in my jungle but passed on the other two animals as I’m saving my clams for other stuff that will come out in the future (I’ve already spent waaay too much during Comic Con). Thankfully, not a completist here.

Turns out both stories are written by the same guy, which is why both are exactly the same. Ooh, except one is in outer space! Getting a movie character out there guarantees money. James Bond, Jason Voorhees, and the Looney Tunes have all been there. Nothing says riding off the coattails of films like Star Wars by also having your movie in space. But seriously why would you need to write the same book twice?
