UPDATE BUNNY: You must have Brian unlocked in order to start the Jack-o-Lantern quests. Brian is in District 6. You will not be able to unlock Pink Brian and/or collect candy unless you are past this point.
If you are past that, then look to see where your Jack O Lantern is. Just go to the task bar and tap on Pink Brian quest and open the info. The details will pop up right over the top of where it is. Tall buildings can hide it. I was able to move it to better spot.

In true TinyCo fashion…let’s throw more updates onto of existing updates and do so late at night!
Anyway….we’ve got a little Halloween Preview going on in Quahog right now! (on top of you know trying to get Sexy Stewie, Vinny & Tom Tucker…) Fortunately, this one seems fairly simple…
Basically here’s the deal….
(FYI FROM BUNNY: Peter needs to be free to trigger this. 😉 )
Everyday between now and October 4th (at 12pm PDT)…a bucket of Candy will appear in your Quahog. Tap on that bucket to collect the candy required to unlock….PINK BRIAN!
And honestly that’s it! Pretty simple right? Just make sure you login to your game everyday to collect the bucket/candy you’ll need.
To unlock Pink Brian you’ll need:
3 Kookie Nut Pops
3 Not-a-Finger
4 Sixty-Four Thousand Dollar Bars
One of these colors will ALWAYS fall from the candy buckets….so if you login everyday between now and October 4th you should unlock Brian!
Here are what the 3 Candy Buckets look like.
Kookie Nut Pops Glowing Ghost Bucket
Not-a-Finger Black Bat Bucket
Sixty Thousand Dollar Orange Pumpkin Bucket
Remember you’ll see the giant Jack-O-Lantern in your town..this is NOT where you get the candy. This is basically your game center for the costume.
To find the candy bucket you’ll have to search around your Quahog…it should be close to the street. (mine was outside the Spa):
(FROM BUNNY: Look for the SPARKLIES floating up from it. “OOOOoooh piece of candy….OOOOoooh piece of candy….OOOOoooh piece of candy….OOOOoooh piece of candy….OOOOoooh piece of candy….”)
The bucket is where you’ll get your candy for the day…so make sure you hunt down your bucket and collect the candy so you don’t miss out on Pink Brian!

How Do I get Candy?
1 Candy per day will appear in your Quahog and there will be ONLY 1 candy in your Quahog at a time. That Candy Resets at every day at Noon PDT
If a Candy is available, it will appear randomly in your Quahog after you collect rent from any building. So keep a close eye out for it.
If you do NOT collect the 1 Candy within 12 hours of it dropping in your game, it disappears forever. So make sure you find it and snag it up right away.
When will the Last Candy Spawn?
For now…the final candy will drop in your town between Oct 3 and 4, Noon PDT.

Family Guy Addicts 
For those having a hard time finding their pumpkin, if the “Get Pink Brian” quest is in your sidebar, you can tap on that and then tap on the green go button and your screen will center over the pumpkin, even if it’s hiding behind a building. You can then move the pumpkin like any other building. I haven’t found any tricks for the candy bucket, but then I’ve only had one of those so far.

Time won’t run out until 11:59pm PDT…so you have time on the first one. If you have the pumpkin try tapping on that and hitting Go under the candy (Each time) to see if that helps you find it.

If every one is concerned about finding there candy they need cause it may be hidden in your town just click on the pink Brian quest line or the jack o lantern. On that screen click on the candy right above the count it will show the bucket with the word Go next to it. You can click go on all three and if one of those candies are out there it will take you to it. This should help to not miss the candy.

I tried doing this and it says come back soon after trying all 3 different candies and I still have 0 for each one. This means there is a glitch that is causing the candy to not show up?? Is TinyCo working on a fix?

Well damn!!! I think I might miss out on pink Brian because I can’t find the pumpkin or any candy buckets anywhere I’ve even teared up all of my roads and still nothing. I tapped Peter a billion times and still no quest popup. So I’m starting to think that I need Brian unlocked to start it so I have a few days to build the library and fully unlock to hope to get pink brian. Anyone else having this problem or does anyone not have Brian but has the pumpkin and candy buckets?

I like that they are giving us almost 16 days to do this. But I am curious if they will drop candy in a color once we don’t needed it. Just don’t wanna log on everyday and end up not getting it cause I just kept getting more of the wrong color.

It’ll be interesting to see. If it’s like the other STUFF, it won’t drop once maxed. So we’ll have to see how it plans out after one color is maxed..

I didn’t even see the pumpkin. I tapped it on accident while collecting money from my office farm. I found the candy easy enough but had to come here to see that there was an actual pumpkin hiding behind a building. It’s now clearly visible after I moved it.

Thanks for the tips. I immediately swiped all my roads save 1 piece. I want no chance of missing candies. Mmm candy… You know what, I’m not gonna wait another couple of hours until a new piece arrives (or however long it takes I’m on continental Europe so no clue about the pdt schedule) . I’m going to get some from the cupboard now lol

If the color of the candy is random, then the probably of getting the required candy in 15 days is 63.9433% and it is 71.8729% in 16 days (assuming you click everyday of course). 🙂
Has it been determined if the color of the candy will be random? The few comments here that have mentioned the color of the first candy they got seemed to be purple, as is my first color as well. DId everyone get a purple for the first candy?

Seems day 1 everyone got purple, day 2 was red…and I think it’ll just continue like that until you’ve maxed out. The only time it’ll become a big issue is if you miss a day (or 2 or 3)

if u click on the pink brian quest and then on go, it should take u to the pumpkin. if it takes u to a random blank spot over a building, the pumpkin is behind that building.

Tip for people struggling to find their pumpkin. If you click pink Brian in the task menu and where it says get pink Brian. If you tap “Go” the screen will pan to the location of the pumpkin. If it’s not there chances are it is but its behind a building in the screenshot.

Once again it’s familyguyaddicts to the rescue!! Only found my first piece of candy after reading this post and moving a building that was covering a large amount of sidewalk. It was completely hidden behind it. You guys are lifesavers!
Presumably we can use the same ‘cheat’ here as we did for the minion stewies during Comic-Con and remove all but one or two bits of the street so all the candies will drop in the same place each day? Although personally I’m not gonna do that as the hunt is half the fun!
And of course I will be saying ‘Ooooo….piece of candy’ to myself for the next couple of weeks 😀

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but I found an easy way to find my “missing” pumpkin – just touch the pink Brian activity icon and the screen will zoom to the area where the pumpkin has been placed. Move the buildings a viola! Pumpkin!

Clicking go will NOT take you to the candy. It only gives info. You need to look for it on ALL your sidewalks. Watch for sparkles.

Like others, my pumpkin was “hiding” behind a building. However, I was able to move it like any other building. Hope it stays where I placed it. Gotta love TinyCo, always keeping us busy! Of course, Sexy Stewie will be a great addition. Opps…back to work!

Heres a bit of help for all who cant find there jack o lanten (PUMPKIN) in the game…
First of u want to tap on ur pink Brian quest to the left, then tap on any piece of candy u want, after u will see the candy u tapped with a GO button next to it, press the GO button and it will take u to the exact destination if ur Pumpkin..if u still cant see it then its definately behind the building in which the Go button took u to..hope this helps !

So i removed all of my obscured roads but still don’t see any candy. Does this mean the candy didn’t move and is still hidden behind a building or should it have respawned to one of the open roads?

Yup…i’m working on putting it together. Every time i sit down to do the numbers an update hits lol. It’s a lot to go through, nearly 6,000 results, so it takes a bit of time. Hopefully it’ll be up tomorrow or Monday at the latest. 🙂

I’ve suddenly begun to lag extremely hard, and I’m having crashes within 15 seconds of opening my Quahog. Is anybody else having this? I did just recently remove most roads in my town, could I have too many people walkin around and crashing me? That would be very lame..

Memory overloading can cause a lag. If all characters are outside doing tasks and there are a lot of animations going on that require the memory …it will cause a lag and drain. I store animated buildings from past events I dont use much anymore. I also try to keep the majority of my characters on inside tasks and rotate them on who is outside so they all aren’t out at same time. Hope that helps.

Have the big pumpkin and pink Brian quest has started but nothing. I’ve spent half an hour moving things around but no bucket or candy.

Try hard closing your game (ie shut down the app) and restart it. That might help to trigger it.

Think this is quite a fun little update, nothing special but when it popped up it got me excited for the Halloween which I suppose is the whole point.
Didnt expect people to dislike it, but I didnt know you could lose candy behind a buidling. Eitherway think this is still better than the stewie event, just cause of how hard that is. Had them on the booze for 1/2 hours almost constantly (apart from when. I was a sleep) so thats atleast 21 times total, found 0. How are you supposed to get 6? :O
Anyway i’m starting to ramble on, haha. Just wanted to say , i enjoy the fact that its a nice and easy event EVERYONE can win, whilst guessing what the Halloween event will be.

I love this event, but I’m seriously hating that, like minions, these candies spawn on sidewalks… Which forces me to either move all my buildings every day or delete 90% of my roads and make my Quahog look awful. They should spawn candies in open, unoccupied spaces instead. (Or make them drop from the homes… You know, like trick-or-treat.)

I can’t find my pumpkin. Probably hidden behind a building. Is this something I should be concerned with? I already found a purple candy but I am worried that there will be one hidden by a building as well. Will the candy move around. This is something TinyCo should have considered.

It’s part of the fun. You can’t get tricked n find a treat. 😉 My suggestion…don’t leave any sidewalks BEHIND items. That’s where the candy will be. Sidewalks. So remove hidden ones. Your pumpkin is prob tucked back behind something in the meantime. You may wanna find it so you know where you are candy collection wise.

I already hate the mechanics of this. My pumpkin was placed behind and obscured by the Fabulous 4 building. As long as TQFS doesn’t have a button like TSTO for hiding buildings and decorations, there’s a major chance I’m going to miss the candy. Every so often TC seems to implement things intentionally nasty or not fully thought through. I’m definitely not going to waste my time trying to find all candy by moving around buildings every day.

This is my way round finding candy easy… Similar to the minions…the candy “spawns” on sidewalks. So…all sidewalks removed minus a few VERY visible ones. Makes for easy location of candy. 😉
The Pumpkin itself, dropped in my waters edge. So it went to a random spot. Just like the animal crate. I moved it to a better location.

Ok I am thinking here, if I read you correct the candy spawns at noon PDT, and despawns again at Midnight. So if you live in the wrong time zone most of the time the candy is up might fall into the time when you sleep.
For me, living in Sweden, noon PDT is 9 PM, and midnight PDT is 9 AM, fortunatly I dont need much of sleep so I wont miss them.

Incorrect on some details… The Candy resets. That means no matter what…ANY candy left in the town will be wiped out at Noon PDT. Then anytime AFTER 12PM PDT, you can go in and collect rent on a building and a new bucket will drop. You have 12 hours from THAT moment to collect.
So if you go into your game, let’s say 10PM PDT and collect rent. A bucket will drop and the 12 hour timer will start. So you will have til 10AM PDT to get it. On the rushing side…if you ignore your town and don’t go in til, Let’s say 8AM PDT…the 12 hours will start, however that will be overridden by the 12 noon PDT reset. So you essentially only get less than 4 hours to get it.
Does that help to clarify it a lil better?

My pumpkin disappeared after my game crashed, but I still have my pink Brian quest. I tried force closing the app and reopening it, but still no pumpkin. 😦 Anyone else having this problem?

I don’t seem to have the pumpkin Game Center anywhere in my town. I’ve deleted and reinstalled, still nothing. I have Peter walking around doing nothing even though I desperately need items from him. I do however, have the quest that tells me I have 15 days for pink Brian, and when I click on it, it lets me know that I have zero candy.

Taking on a Halloween quest line is competing with the Simpsons epic halloween quests and that’s some big shoes to fill for sure! I can’t wait to see what they come up with! =D

I didn’t see a bucket or any sparklies, just a piece of candy laying on the sidewalk. I was immediately concerned that candy would drop behind a building and I would miss it.
I guess its possible i tapped the bucket before I noticed it, but if a bucket spawns behind a building will the sparkles rise hight enough you can spot it?
