Well, we’ve all made it through another “work week” (kinda, sorta, almost) and the weekend looms large up ahead. All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game (What Comic-Con JUST ended and they ALREADY want me to spend more clams?!) and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun new way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest.
So welcome to What the Hell?!

Here’s my What the Hell?! For this week:
-TinyCo said Vinny would be hitting our games on Thursday at 3pm PDT…instead he hit our games on Tuesday at 8pm PDT…what the hell?!
-Off scale buildings with the new release. Super tiny buildings and some huge ones. What the hell?!
-I was at the gym the other day and in one of the circuit rooms (where you watch the little light and switch equipment when the light changes color) and some guy walks into the room. He then proceeded to sit on a piece of equipment and talk on his cell phone (LOUDLY). Not only was he talking but he never moved off the machine…which of course caused a backup on the equipment. What the hell, buddy? Can you NOT be selfish and hog a machine you’re supposed to alternate on? Not only that BUT you’re NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK ON YOUR CELL PHONE ON THE GYM FLOOR! Not everyone wants to hear about your BS…take it outside Bub!

They rush these things so much. Has anyone else noticed that the Sexy Party Stewie costume has no back? When he walks away, he does it backwards and you still see his face and front of his shirt etc. C’mon, TinyCo, if you’re going to release a new costume, wait till it’s ready. Dot give us a half done costume and make it weird to watch him walk around.

It’s back there now. I tried it on different browsers and different OS’s and no luck. I’ve noticed that lately there have been a number of instances like this and they all seem to be related to server-side caching… You guys might want to have someone check into that.

I’m with a lot of the others making comments regarding stuck quest lines. I’ve spent approximately $60.00 of real money on clams and I still am no where close to unlocking Stewie. The items needed never drop and it’s frustrating knowing that it’s takes 30 of the very thing that never drops. To make it worse, you need the PB&J costume as well, which needs its own 20-30 items that never drop.
I open this early in the morning and also on it multiple times per day. I time it so that the characters are always busy collecting things or in my games case, just busy, never collecting anything.
Then…… They launch a limited time event! There’s no way that’s going to happen so this is not only a WTH, but I’m throwing the BS flag as well. People are either paying a lot more money than I have or are using cheats and hacks to get ahead. TinyCo does realize that the most popular game releases on XBOX only cost about $60.00. I know I’m not going to spend one dime more on this game, for the reasons above. it won’t take very long for me to simply delete the game all together because of the frustration.
I did pay to speed up Falconer Peter, but only because I wanted to see that costume in action before deleting all together.

It can be done. It’s just a matter of time and when you started playing. I started playing once the game was launched. And I’ve only spent $20 – to get Bryan Cranston – that’s it no more. I’m current with quest lines – I was able to unlock stewie early on in comic con – and never used clams to speed up tasks or get items (although that might change with captain stewie – since those notes hardly drop). Just saying you might miss this one – but hang in and stewie will soon be yours – and all of the fun he brings.
But I agree – these quest lines would be tough if you didn’t start once the game was launched.

I wish instead of a stewie costume, they woul release a brain costume. He seriously needs another one like a suited up Brian or something. I also wish that they will bring back the limited time stewie costume since I can’t get it right now.

Still cannot get pass the log in screen due to the shufflepapers error. Completely deleted the app from the phone and iTunes and reinstalled. Still not fixed.

What the hell – Why must I feel so compelled to obtain sexy (sailor suit not a robe) Stewie? And why did I have to open my big mouth about Buzz Killington in that TinyCo thread, so now the one premium character I *don’t* own is the only one who helps with Stewie? And WTH with the Seamus shanties task as one of 3 options for both the Dulcet Tones and the Poncy Hat? Couldn’t Quagmire help with the hat, or Chris help with the Tones? And freakin’ Peter – do I have him stub his knee for the (common) Powder or keep having him unproductively Dancy Dance in case he eventually drops the Tones? Should Lois shoplift for Powder or teach piano for the Tones? And why can’t Stewie’s Extra Rare items drop as easily as the tattoo guns for Meg (I got all 5 in 36 hours). Oh, and why can’t I sell back my useless characters – Tricia Takanawa has been getting under my skin with her lack of contribution.
That whined, I do like the multiple new quests this week and that they did try to give some increased variety in useful characters (but, really, the Seamus shanties???)

I totally agree on this week’s what the hells Allissa … I said my piece on the start time. But the building sizes are way off. The abandoned warehouse is way too small while the pet store & meatloafaria are much bigger than they should be. The second most popular meatloaf restaurant in town is really four times as big as a warehouse? What the hell?!?!?
But my real what the hell is Vinny. I think it would be funny if Stewie & Brian travel back in time & erase him from the game like they did in the show & he could maybe pop back up during certain time travel adventures. I’m not sure what his role in the show will be this season but apparently he’ll be in at least 3 episodes. But now he’s got enough ancillary buildings to fill a city block & his own fancy house. Why would he be in a pet shop if he has his own fancy house? Didn’t his family die or something? Oh well, what the hell?

So….. Been working hard to build the blimp just need one more propeller .. It’s been 2 shifts each of All qualified characters to get the boat propeller… Just started the 3rd one and they haven’t dropped not even one

Mine is not so much a “what the hell” but “who the hell”. Who the hell runs Ollie land and why is he so far behind?? He hasn’t even unlocked district 7, Asian town yet. He’s still on level 24 while most of us are over level 40 unlocking district 9. Who runs Ollie land and how can I get his job?!

my wth is why is Rupert limited time if we have to pay for him with clams? i cant do it. i only have 38 clams after spending 300 or so on Consuela. i really wanted her. but i also really want Rupert. Im hoping this isnt the only time he will be back. I need him in my Quahog or i will die (im being a little dramatic)… but wth.

Just leveled up my total game Xp to level 50 and it now says Maxed! What the hell was ever the point of game XP? I don’t even feel special. I was gonna ask what level other people we’re on, I finally thought i found the reason for game XP…to brag about how highs yours is , and I thought theoretically we could find the highest leveled gamer thru Total Game XP and dub them champion of the world. But, alas, it was all for not, it’s maxed, what the hell was the point? What The Family Guy Hell?

My WTH is this stupid shufflepapers error. I reported it to Tinyco two days ago, but I’m still getting the error when trying to load. And so now I’m faced with missing this weekend event, too! I want my game back!!!

They did find a fix and started pushing it. Have you refreshed your game since yesterday? Force close, restart device, if game is saved to an email or Facebook…have you uninstalled/restart/reinstalled the app and logged back in?

They did get in touch yesterday and asked me to do just that, SL I reinstalled the game, but still got the error (I replied and told them this). If I reinstall again, is there a way to skip the tutorial? You can’t sign in until you get past that. And hey, thanks for everything, Bunny!

What the hell, let’s talk moustaches! A number of characters in the game have moustaches and I love when the game logically(yes logically) matches an item to a logical task and even better when the task and/ or item fits a characters plotline from an episode, for example recently added task peter grinds his gears to help get tom tucker. I also love when a task has been in the game for awhile and it logically fits with a new item we must find ie Chris rage sing in the shower gets microphone. It was only logical that jake tucker should be helping tom get freed, thank you tiny co for that late but logical addition. So, what hell my moustachioed men??
1. Cleavland. Even has a task to read moustache magizine
2. Bruce. The man whose been there to help get so many items, a proud gay wearer of the pistachio
3. Stan the Man Lee. What’s that under his nose. It’s a bird it’s a plane it’s Moustachio Man! (It’s an incorrect reference, man)
4. Meg.
Thank you Dr. Hartman, both a doctor and a stache wearer, how logical it is you are tasked to get moustache cream. What the hell Stewie gives Rupert a moustache? What the hell, Stewie and Brian can get all the items just like in the blimp adventure?
My number one is the newly introduced prison Meg(who didn’t get me no blue plutonium cuz Brewie got it all for me) and she clearly needs that mo-stache cream. I got a little stalled on clearing my twenty hour land (what the hell!) so I don’t know what’s up with Vinny yet, but come on give me some more characters to get Tommy Tucks, take it away from Strian for all I care.
I was driving down the road today and I went around a corner and this truck, giving ample space to a walker on his side of the road, was all the way on my side coming straight at me..what the hell guy, if I didn’t brake to an almost halt we woulda been kablooey.

I finally deleted the game after all the stuff:
• I got hit but the Red Hot Louis bug. I’ve contacted TinyCo through the game and email, but haven’t heard anything back. Peter and Brian have been working on it since ComicCon finished, and I still have yet to earn a single maraca. And now there’s a one-time event that requires Stewie?
(By the way, thank you for putting the bug on your site. It’s impossible to find in the help docs unless you know what you are looking for.)
• Visiting friends produces nothing. I thought that it might be that they’re producing invisible coins/clams, but I’ve checked my totals, and they’re the same both before and after. (I know that your site claims different, but I’ve tested it myself.)
• I started the game this morning and found that no one was doing anything. Perhaps there’s someone who is still doing an action, but none of the ones that will help me earn PB&J Brain (again) were.
Thanks for letting me vent. I’d send these to TinyCo, but they don’t read their email.

In regards to the coin glitch, there are two issues both linked. One, you don’t see coins but later on…sometimes a while…the amounts update to reflect the correct amounts. (Usually a hard/force close and restart of the device is required to sync it up.) On the other side all the same as above, but the collection still is not applying. That does need to be reported to TinyCo.
Have you contacted them since the first initial messaged on Red Hot directly from your game? Or just that once?

I had that happen during Comicon with Cop Joe and contacted them in game and through tech support on the website.
It took a while, but they got back to me, and gave me the clams to buy Cop Joe, which given how long it had taken to get back to me I had re-earned, so I bought Consuela (more than a fair trade off to me – love me some Consuela. Noooo).

surely there can be a balance between super short timed questlines and the slog of the other game right? Because during comiccon I liked the 3 day challenges but now that they are weekly it feels overwhelming.
I wonder if tiny co could go to a modified form of the 3 day quest where the user could somehow trigger the timer countdown manually ( similar to comiccon where you could sort of sometimes hold off on triggering the car challenges,ie I’d like to run this 3 day quest between Monday and Wednesday there could still be a limit (ie you’d have to trigger by 3pm on Monday if it was a weekend challenge or it would autostart), maybe even a button you could click to “start quest now” that way characters could be free (or ending their first run at items), you could decide when you could focus play (weekends are bad for me, Mondays could be bad for others, etc

WTH TinyCo Support – do you ever respond to your technical support emails and in-game messages? I would be a lot more willing to spend real-world money if I thought problems would get fixed…but considering I’ve been waiting months just to get a response acknowledging one issue, I would probably get more use out of my money by throwing it in the garbage.

My wth moment this week I received when I got up this morning after working a 10 hour shift and being today is my only day off this week. I go to play some Xbox so I go to sign in to my profile. And I get an error code and it meant my account has been compromised. So I submit a form because I no longer use that email to get a new password code sent to my other email address. But it’s going to take up to 24 hours to get a response for the form I just sent in. Well so much for me being able to play Xbox on my ONE day off this week. WTH!!!!

Just be glad you are still using the same e-mail address. I stupidly used my e-mail from a former employer. So when I got the error message I couldn’t get the reset password. I have spent 4 months trying to recapture my account from Microsoft. They refuse to check to see if my information is the same as the account information. Oh, but they can find and charge my credit card account to renew my Gold membership and e-mail me at my main account to let me know. Believe me I have a mad on brewing for my next contact with them.

The game consumes too much mobile data. I decided to just play at night or in the morning before going to work because home is the only place that I have wi-fi available. Today I played only five minutes collecting things and assigning tasks and the game has consumed 35 mb. What the hell???

WTH! TC keeps having limited time events for characters that many of us have not even come close to unlocking yet. I just spent the last month playing Comic-con and am now trying to complete district 5. Sooo far away from getting Stewie, and will never have a shot at the Sexy Stewie costume.
At least TC has shown that “limited time” costumes/characters may come back some day with Rupert back in the game, although I am a freemium player and wouldn’t spend Clams on him anyway.
WTH! Bryan Cranston for 500 and Rupert for only 250? I guess they don’t have to pay for Rupert to speak.
WTH! How do you get Cleveland if you started the game just before Comic-con. Never even had a chance to get him but he is on the Facespace list of “The Guys”.

1. Yes why on earth keep giving us characters if after their initial storyline we go back to just using the same 1 or 2? Especially the premium ones.
2. Why is it all of these games choose the week before my pay day to introduce limited time events?
3. The cursed Southeastern railway decided to cancel my train this morning (2nd time this week)
4. Insert common/usual grumbles about the working life

WTH.. I was so obsessed with this game, until they put Vinny on it..
The blimp was a brilliant idea to have a different story style… I thought it was a smart move to start D-9 with; however I began to hate those 12-24 hours tasks and how they start throwing phases and storylines to unlock it (20 hours to clear the land??? Really?? 3 of it???) … but then.. ok ok ok…it could have been fine until the Dogs stuff; more 12 and 16 hrs tasks for Brian and Stewie, when they are the ones getting stuff for Tom, and now the Sexy Stewie quest, a limited time thing that is going to take priority since the rest is going to be there any way, but Stewie is stuck 16 hrs talking to the employees of a Pet store
Now we need to spend 50 clams on a tiger…
Also Steve’s costume is a Captain-style outfit.. not the Robe as he says when the Quest Starts
And at the end I think what I hate the most is the merely presence of Vinny, and the excess on Italian themed and dog style buildings (2 restaurants, a meatloaf place, the Pet store even when Ron Perlman has one already)… The Lack of LAND!??!!! and the approaching of the Halloween event which at least for me is going to be ruined with those hideous Dogs wandering my town. WTH!!!

Granted, I slept for 8 of those, but I’ve been tapping like a fiend the rest of the time on both Shanties plus Seamus and Yacht Club. Though I guess that’s one more than the number of Champagnes I’ve scored, so when I look at it that way…

My only wth is opening district 9.. you know those russian dolls that you take off the head and there is a smaller one and you take off its head..and there is a smaller one…etc.. Well like everyone else I looked forward to dustrict 9 (over 800k in coins..lets go!) Instead I got a Stewie quest (yay progress), then time to collect blimp parts with mostly Brian and Stewie (cool…down for a challenge. .and then DISTRICT 9 Woohoo), Blimp parts collected..nothing..tap district 9 and..yay its open…After I clear 2 lots of ground for 20 hours…so tomorrow you will be mine district 9 (um…wrong again..a hidden lot of ground needs to be cleared and will be…in 20 hours). Finally!! Finally I get to work on my first District 9 task…..in 8 hours after I fix the news station lol. Very happy of the limited time Stewie outfit. .it gives me something to do with my characters while trying to get to the part in level 9 that I have stuff to do with my characters lol

WTH, I had to use clams to catch up with other people because my game had a error. Also, why does my Spanish Class have to have 71°F while outside it is 89°F. I have to wear a sweater but then it gets me hot outside.

Sleep deprived from setting my alarm clock for every two hours since the new Stewie costume was released and have yet to get ONE lousy bottle of champagne. WTH?
Also Dr. Hartman has been on his task for shaving cream for 3 days (18 times) and hasn’t dropped one yet. I thought this was something TC fixed? WTH?

My Stewie still (going on 6 days) has the ! above his head preventing me from moving forward. Contacted Tiny Co via the game contact support on Tuesday, haven’t heard anything, but I know it’s an ongoing problem with many players. Annoyed they’ve released all this new cool stuff and a limited time event before fixing the current problem. WTH Tiny co.
It’d be nice if they’d extend the limited time Stewie event for those that can’t play to the fullest extent.

I would only say TinyCo… catch-up window and breathing space. Look them up, some interesting concepts that may allow your users to pace themselves and catch a pause… at least for a couple of days.

I’m locked out. Tried all troubleshooting suggested seem to be only person with this problem when I sign in I see Error message “config empty for Id IAPgoal1 in goals” no Tinyco help and about to have to permanently delete my favorite app 😦

WTH? Another limited time costume for a character that many players have not had a chance to unlock? Did Tinyco not learn from Iron Baby/Stripper Bonnie?
WTH? My neighbor is pregnant with her third child and can barely take care of the two she has.
My wife stuck two hard boiled eggs back into the carton in the fridge and did not label them. I did not find out until I RIPPED one in half trying to crack it into the pan. WTH?

Like others have mentioned, PLEASE TinyCo, give us an option to cancel an action. Alot of us put most of our characters on 24 hr tasks since there was nothing for them to do, then another limited time mini event suddenly gets dropped in with no warning (at least for me)! Being forced to waste precious time with no option to cancel a task without wasting clams is a MAJOR WTH!! I would rather TinyCo give us that option instead of the character finder. I have to wait another 10 hours before I can have full use of the characters needed for collection, GRRRRR!!!!

My WTH is that I am feeling a bit overwhelmed ( in a good way) with all this new content. I just finished the what the duces quest line but thankfully the sexy Stewie stuff dropped in right when both Brian were finishing questioning customers so I am glad I did not build the pound or I would have to much to do in three days. Just gonna focus on Sexy Stewie right now.
