Hello There Clammers!
TinyCo’s been busy the last couple of days posting spoilers and hints about what’s to come for Halloween 2014….
First, they teased it on Twitter…and Bunny wrote a whole post about that and speculation for what’s to come.
Then we got a Pink Brian Sneak Peek….have you unlocked him yet?
And yesterday we saw this posted on their Facebook….with the word “Soon”…
Now today TinyCo has yet another suspicious posting on their Facebook page….
Could this mean Halloween is coming TOMORROW?! (10/1) Could it mean…..
I’d be pretty stoked if we’re getting a Ghostbusters update! Personally, I hate Halloween (I just don’t like being scared…more on that later)…but I LOVE the Ghostbusters! Some early Halloween memories I have involve my mom putting me in a stupid costume and me “borrowing” my friend’s Ghostbuster Proton Pack from his costume to make my costume look cooler. (If I can find the photo of that I’ll definitely post it…) So needless to say a Ghostbuster update would make this Halloween a bit better for me!
Oh and in case you’re wondering about Cleveland…TinyCo had this message to say about him in the next event:

I had Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, and a sad movie I Know my First Name is Stephen, on a VHS tape when I was a kid. I actually watched it so much I wore it out and the tape ripped.

I also hope that instead of having a mini preview ghostbusters event, we would have the Halloween event partially based on the Ghostbusters similar to the Fabulous Four versus the evil Stewie mutations.

My childhood halloween costume consisted of my mother flowering mine and my brother’s faces, then putting us in all white sweats that she had written “Busted!” in red sharpie on. We were the saddest ghosts ever.

For those that missed the season premiere of Family Guy Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim will re-air the episode Monday October 6th.
They repeat the episode throughout the night, so if you miss it again that’s your problem! 🙂

Looks like it was right judging by Tinyco’s comments.
Though I agree about Halloween itself (not liking it), I actually love halloween events on games and tv shows. (its my 2nd favourite after christmas, dont know why I just love the cheesy christmas cliches haha)
So it looks like unless Tinyco give us enough land for the event, another chunk of Quahog will be put in to storage to make a halloween area :D.
Thats my only problem with the game. No where near enough land. Half the buildings I dont even want to use, yet I still cant fit the other half in haha.

I don’t think it will be tomorrow because in full moon event and comic con event there was a pop up box that said blank blank blank coming to the App Store and android store m/d/ Month and day wish it was tomorrow but probably not but there will most likely be a pop up message saying when it will come

Didn’t even get rid of the maze since last event. Lol. Figured that having just 2 visible locations (maze center and maze exit) with a piece of road would make the game a whole lot easier. Helped with the event, helped with Pink Brian. Allocated a piece of land where the toons just keep on walking around a maze of lava.

I understand that a lot of people are freemium players, but it kind of gets old hearing all the complaining going on about what they feel entitled to as freemium players. I think it makes complete sense and is absolutely fair to offer exclusive content and opportunities for those of us who are able to, and who choose to shell out money for premium items. It’s just like anything else in this world. Do you complain about not having the Bose sound system in your car when you chose to purchase the stock model that has a cassette player? I think TinyCo has been very generous to the freemium player, especially with the last event (Comicon). If you feel like you are entitled to all the same things and opportunities as “premium” players then you probably go through life with that same perception…and I don’t like you. So, Pbbbbbbbrrt!

Cassette player, ha ha ha. My first car had an 8 track because, get this, at the time cassettes did not have the reverse playback function and I didn’t want something where I would have to take the tape out and turn it over…

I have certain common sense rules when it comes to premium vs freemium. First there needs to be cool premium items..the people spending money out of there own pockets are the reason this game can do so much…and they aren’t going to sell premium items noone wants.. So yeah if you are currently strapped for cash there will be things you want and can’t get. Another rule is all items that are free if you earn enough whatever should be free for anyone to unlock. Yes there should be premium items that makes it easier for premium and no it shouldn’t be easy enough to get playing once a day for freemium. Look Tinyco finds ways to give out free clams here and there all the time..before I became premium I got both Consuella and Buzz for free clams I saved..so yes even as a pure freemium player you can buy some cool items. One of my only arguments vs tinyco of late was Cleveland both being for clams and for a lot of clams because on facespace he was in the one of the guys..not people you buy. That being said it is very tiresome hearing constantly how this or that should be free or the people constantly wanting free clams for everything. .look most characters are free and most of the cool things are free or earned..quit blowing through your free clams on speeding stuff up.
On a side noteI am thinking Cleveland will play a part because he will probably be able to get items or get them easier plus he probably has a Ghostbusters uniform you can unlock. Don’t think you will need him for anything but I think having him will make certain tasks easier..like Nathan Fillion and Cranston did for Comicon

I’m glad an event/premium character is finally doing something major. All these event characters thus far have just been useless when it comes to anything in the future.

When i go to cologne or fragrance factory it closes game. Ive reported it to tinyco a few times. Has been happening for 3 days now.

Known glitch they are working on. You can try to trigger the info for it by tapping the task bar icon for it and selecting go instead. They will keep working on it in the meantime.

Ohh, if only tapping the icon in the quest or hitting the Go button in the shopping cart worked, then none of us would actually have this problem.
I’ve tried so many ways to get access, from putting virtually everything in storage to deleting, restarting phone, reinstalling..Ive crashed my phone so many times trying to get inside. On the two occasions I did get inside the factory, Mayor West’s animation was a mess of black blocks.
I believe this is what is causing the crash, that the animation that is triggered when the factory is touched is too memory intensive on some devices, regardless of the town being empty of all other animated items or not.
I used a friends Note2 to log into my account, and factory opened with zero problems. I completed the cologne quest and the factory disappeared, then went back to my old phone.
Maybe Tiny Co could add some options to turn off some animations for when things get a bit much, and leave the animations out of quests boxes like Mayor West and his ticker-tape display.. I know some of my friends have had a hard time logging into other towns when events are on.

I can’t wait for this event. District 8 is very, very boring. I also he they add grim reaper Brian.
I, however, am kinda dissapointed about Cleveland playing a big role. I hope it isn’t like, “If you have Cleveland, you can get this,” or, “the only way to get his item is with Cleveland. 400 clams is way too much to pay for him. I hope his role is like the premium celebrities in the previous event. Very helpful if you have them, but for those who don’t, the event is still the same.

Good timing….. I will be done with cologne collecting in 16 hours as ive just got 4 of the common ones left to collect and 3 characters on it. Already have more than enough of the other 2 since they were just 2 hour tasks and dropped pretty much everytime. Also doing well on the Mayor with 17/20, 15/20 and 7/10 so hopefully there will still be some free characters during this event to finish him off 🙂

I unlocked Pink Brian last night, & unlocked The Kool – Aid Man & Vinny this morning within the time constraint to get my free building! I was so happy for the rest of the day, even my boss was asking me if I’d gotten laid last night!

The problem with “spoilers” is (as you have seen many times) things can and WILL change. Up to the very second before it hits the game. Sometimes even after. So we never speculate or “leak” information as it is not considered accurate until we see it live in the game. We prefer it that way. Not to mention you can look at an image all you want, but until it is live in the game…you do not know if that image is a decoration, just an image for dialog, just an icon in the corner, or an actual live game play character complete with tasks. 😉

With this arriving tomorrow, I’m trying to decide if I should repair the News Station to start unlocking Tom Tucker, cause I realllyyyyy would like them to release a Michael Myers outfit for him (but probably won’t), or if I should hold off to keep all my characters and workers free? Really looking forward to this event, and hoping for some awesome horror themed decos and buildings.

Seems a bit early to start a Halloween event. I’m not sure I can handle another weeks long event again already if it contains multiple timed events requiring a lot of attention for gathering.
I need one more red bar for Pink Brian. Goofy thing on that, a bit ago I opened the shopping cart and there was an option to buy a red one for clams. I closed it and hit the pumpkin, which instead gave me one of the other candies (not sure if the reset candy just happened to be next to the pumpkin). When I opened the cart again the option to buy a red one was then gone.

Pink Brian disappeared. I was able to unlock pink Brian yesterday but then when I went back into the game it says I need like 8 more candies to get him. However I got him already he’s just gone. Luckily I took a screen shot and sent it to support. I’ll let you know once I hear back, just thought I’d ask the community.

If it is Ghostbusters, I’m stoked! Ghostbusters is my favorite move of all time and would be a great way for FGTQFS to celebrate Halloween!
Plus saying Cleveland plays a huge role (making me decide to pull the plug and buy him) fits in with the ‘Busters tease (spoiler alert….He’s Winston Zeddemore!)

I think Peter joe Cleveland and quagmire will all be ghostbusters and there will be ghost like the stewie minions in comic con they will fly around and you have to collect something to destroy the ghosts
