Update 9 AM EDT: Update is also live on iOS now, so be sure to download it. Any of our Kindle friends want to chime in to let us know if they have the new version too?
Also, some reports of crashing going on when installing the newest update. This could be like Comic-Con where if you have an older device the game won’t run on it. It’s a ton of content that requires a lot of memory and space to run…..so older devices that can’t support it will crash.

Hello There Clammers!
Much like with Comic-Con we’ve gotten ourselves a little pre-launch update for Halloween. A new splash screen and icon but that’s it so far….
If this is like Comic-Con the “switch” should be flipped once #DrunkProgrammerKevin sobers up in the morning! (for Comic-Con it was about 7:30am). Once we see some new content we’ll get it up for you, but for now my suggestion is get some rest….you’ll want to be well rested for Ghostbusting in the morning! 🙂

Now now…BIG PICTURE. There is more to it than what you are seeing. It is not their CHOICE to have it staggered. I am actually quite proud of how they did it this time to get all 3 as close to same launch day as they did. 3 within 24hrs? That is awesome!!
App markets are a pain to deal with to get apps approved and pushed.

Kindle user chiming in. It’s odd. The splash screen hasn’t changed, the trees are still green, and no questioned yet. I do however have characters that can collect buckets, green space below District 9, and the Prison Meg things, which until I read the comments I figured it was just time for as I haven’t unlocked her yet. With any luck it will hit later today. Seems to be plenty of time for this event, so I won’t get too worked up about the delay….yet.

Yeah, also on Kindle – everything seems the same for me except a couple of characters can collect Buckets and something else I can’t make out (Peter cooking disgusting vegetables)… dunno what these items are for. Also a big square of green land below District 9, but I can’t put anything on it even though it’s clear and fog-free. I suppose it’s just a matter of waiting for things to properly update before I try and do anything.

I’m also a Kindle user (and have been loving your site for months now, despite this being my first post) and I too have yet to get the update. I just got Jailhouse Meg today, so I’m not sure if you need District 9 first or not, but I also have the open green space below it. Peter can collect what looks like baby powder, but everything else is normal. I’ll wait patiently for the update (which is not yet in the App store) and keep working on my current quests in the meantime. 🙂

My Halloween quest has glitches I pressed the book it froze I pressed home button on my ipad went back on portal is there but it says I haven’t clicked the book I’m also going to tell tiny co but if you can help please tell me

If Mort’s has triggered, you can start his side quest. But I am not sure if it triggers AFTER the one you are stuck on.

I’ve force closed and I’ve restarted my devices but the portal is there and the spell book isn’t back does this mean I can’t play the event because I’m stuck on the quest

First off everyone from addicts does a fabulous job with the site 🙂 I came upon this site just before comic con and was able to complete it for free! (Freemium player). I love all the teasing, but would it kill them to put a time! I’m going bananas over here waiting for Halloween to start. I do love how tinyco is much more vocal about what’s coming next in the game, unlike some other game we know that likes keeps things mum till the event actual comes out (I love that game too). Tinyco keep it coming! 🙂

Ooo fall trees… this is getting exciting. Along with the update came a glitch for me where the characters have the ability to drop prison meg items again like buckets soap and tattoo needles lol gotta love them glitches. I already have prison meg im ready for slutty cat!

Got the first Halloween quests underway. Looking forward to a guide from Familyguyaddicts so that I can attain the prizes most efficiently… Not wanting to miss out on certain items like I have in the past.

I just saw on some of the characters, Connie & Seamus so far, there are additional items that you can get for certain tasks. Like with Seamus, you can get a bucket when swabbing the poop deck.
Since the quest line hasn’t started yet, is it a waste of time for me to have the characters trying to collect them? Will they count when the quest line starts?

Playing on android Trees have changed colour and area under District 9 is clear. One of my properties has just spat out an item that goes towards a Meg costume and some characters have jobs that spit out similar items to prison Meg.

I collected from my characters – and they randomly gave me some buckets?!? What are they for? Do we know yet? Meg flashed up in the right hand corner of the screen then disappeared. Random.

Some characters already show items for the new event I think? Even though I’m up to date with all tasks my Peter could get microphones for a 4 hour task and Seamus could get a bucket for his 4h task as well. Since they are old items it looks like a bug for now, but it can be an indicator for which tasks will earn items so that we can plan ahead.
