American Dad has arrived in Quahog! And it seems that Stan and Roger may be up to no good. I know you are wanting to get an idea of what to expect, so here is the first section of the Walkthrough to get you started.
Remember, the walkthrough pop ups will depend on where YOU are in the quests and if you have room in your task bar for the new ones to pop up. If you do not see one showing, try clearing out a few others. Give them time to show up.
The following is how MY game proceeded through it all. Yours may vary a bit.

I spent clams on speeding up the hide alien quest and now am waiting for another quest to appear. What a waste of clams and a bit naughty by the programmers……..Grrrrrr

I was midway through these 3 quest lines when all quests disappeared for me and will not return. I sent Tiny Co a support request. Has anyone else seen this? I have restarted the game and my Galaxy S4 multiple times. Thanks.

How many tasks do you have open in your menu? If you have a lot…no room for new ones to pop up.

Thanks. All my tasks were already completed accept the 3 that were introduced in this event. Now i have no quests at all. I was following along with your walkthrough so i know none of them should have completed yet. I am tempted to try reinstalling. Are there any lingering bugs with restoring through a Facebook account? I recall you posting an article on that not too long ago.

I received word back from Tiny Co. They said it is a known issue that they are currently working on. They hope to have a fix soon.

3 more documents left. I do hope I can unlock Stan by tomorrow as I want to progress and not feel behind. I like that it’s slowed down after Halloween, but just feels a little too slow, lol.

Just a random thought..it would be cool if those who have Patrick Stewart in their games had the ability to convert him into Avery Bullock. All he would need is some alternate dialog.

Quick question: Am I the only one who still has the ‘Spirit Vials’ currency button left over from the Halloween event in the lower right corner of the screen?
When I tap on it, it opens the Frankenstein Rupert Mystery box even though I don’t even have enough to buy it and the event is over.
Am I the only one who has this and does anyone know how to fix it?

I had a few clams spare soo I spent it on Stan cause I was board and with roger its suppose to be four hours wait each time but on some it was only 2 hours but on the last one been waiting 6 hours already and still wait so he must be rearranging his wig collection

I’m just glad this event doesn’t require special currency. I don’t feel compelled to check the game every hour to make sure I am maximizing my haul of loot. It’s a lot more laid back this way and a reprieve from the Halloween event.

I notice that since TinyCo did their little crackdown on illegals that there are considerably fewer posts from people who say they are miles ahead or already done… hmmm, I guess they weren’t all just spending lots on clams lol

Yes. Was able to confirm Burn Some Wood 6hr task $65 & 45XP. It takes place inside the Smith House. 😉

I am waiting to see if it is used more to make my decision. So far it is used at least once by Stan and helps earn him…so more useful than buildings I spent more clams on for events. Many of them were item drops only.

I did the mistake of starting vinnys collection at the same time as stans without realizing vinny was timed I’ve been trying to get vinny first and only have like 36 hours left…now I’m hoping its even possible for me to even get vinny since 4 extra rare items in 3 days seems really hard to do with only 3 characters able to do it, it’s been over half my time available and I’ve only gotten 1 of them…now I’m going to be behind on the American dad event for no reason 😔

Keep in mind the Challenge is NOT for Vinny. Vinny is yours no matter what. The Challengs is ONLY for the extra building.

Almost got Stan and only 2 days in. Decided to get Stans house and looks good, could not resist this. Sorted out the space problem myself, realised I have a large amount of coins as being playing for a while, and not needing to spend any for a while, so dont need the revinue from all my buildings, I have put in storage lots of stuff including some buildings not needed for tasks, and my town looks nice again. Tiny are slow in expanding land so for now this is the answer for me, and quite happy.

I really don’t like American Dad so for me this is easily the worst event. I really couldn’t care less about progressing through and unlocking characters/missions etc. What I do really want is the time travelling event to continue, seriously what’s happened to that?!!

I finally got Stan Smith and I’m so glad they brought American dad into the game! Way to go TinyCo!!! Bring on the others characters,I don’t even care if their clams! I’m buying each and everyone of them!! Keep it up!

Quick question has anyone else got an extra green area where you can place nothing? Ever since the last update there’s a massive extra but of land below district 9 any ideas?

i wish mine was massive….i already have so much stuff displayed, this extra land doesn’t amount to much more than maybe half a street once they let me put stuff there. what screwed them over is having that lake on the side, it takes up space for nothing. i truly hope they start adding substantial space in the near future. even the Simpsons game is more generous, they make take forever to add but when they do, its 1 or 2 very long strips.

It is released square by square there too though. You have to purchase each one. And it was not always that way.I remember MANY times wanting more land there too. It took them almost a year just to add the recent patch they did. They’ve had 2yrs of growing. Family Guy just started. 😉

As of this afternoon’s check I’m at 6/8 documents, and everything else I finished getting yesterday. So with a lot of luck I’ll have Stan this evening, and with a little bit I’ll have him by tomorrow morning.
Not enough space to justify getting the house even if I really wanted to spend the clams on it (got about 160 now, and will likely get the brain-damaged horse for 120 clams and get 100 back for completing the set), but it does look good. Looking forward to the rest of this event.
I will be disappointed if there isn’t some sort of interaction with Patrick Stewart for those of us who got him from comic-con, especially given one of his quotes (“Hey, I sound like that guy from American Dad!”)

Thanks for the sneak peak at what to expect later in these quest lines! The event is going pretty well so far. Almost got Stan – only need 3 classified documents. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I get 2 when I collect from tasks in a little bit. I’m not in a rush to get Stan, but I would like to take advantage of having the day off tomorrow and make some headway on the Roger challenge. I’m debating with myself whether to spend the clams to start tonight, or wait until the morning when I’ll (hopefully) have collected all the items to unlock Stan.

Even though I wanted nothing more than to have Roger in my town and finally freaked out when they gave us a teaser on Facebook, I feel that Roger won’t be Roger. He loves putting on wigs and making characters up so every event it would only make sense to give him costumes. Also I feel like any past event characters should have a little interaction with new ones even if people didn’t get them. Like Patrick Stewart getting confused for Bullock. Or Steve Smith Stalking Stan Lee or getting hunted by Freddy Krueger.

I picked up there House with the frame of mind it will only help unlock Stan a little quicker and that it looked pretty cool…that with a pretty low price point on clams made me grab it (have you seen the normal cost of buildings in events? This one is a steal). That being said if you are on as tight budget I would hold off because getting Stan isn’t a race and who knows if a guest character will show up you will want sooner or later. If you spend clams but are a bit frugal it comes down to do you like the deco..because the price point is solid. Just keep in mind that in every past event when the next phase arrives it normally means that clam building purchases from previous phases become just another decoration

And a very large one at that. I was leaning toward buying it at first just because it is a house but its sheer size makes it completely unusable in my neighborhood. It would ultimately end up being just another building to put in storage when the event ends. I gave it a pass & now have 5 of 8 documents in the first 30 hours collecting.

I bought the Smith house and personally, I like it. I can’t say it is the focal point of any major tasks at this point but it’s a nice looking house to add to Spooner St. that comes with a pool!
On a side note, I think TinyCo would do well to add pools as decorations. Both in-ground and above ground styles. maybe this summer?

I’m talking recreational domestic swimming pools. I know the Swanson’s have one and hey…the GOLDEN pool is lame. I’m also aware there is the olympic size pool, but it would be nice to have normal pools to add to the houses/locations we choose. I added an Olympic pool to my Q hotel but it’s not quite right. Oh well..

I’m on the fence about buying the Smith House. I have juuuust over 100 clams, and I’d rather save up in case another American Dad character shows up for sale. Anyone purchase the house? Was it worth it for you? The Smith House isn’t as iconic as a lot of buildings in Quahog, and it’s don’t NEED to be there. But if Stan has any fun tasks there, or if there’s no other characters, it could be worth it.

Stan level 6 “Burn Some Wood” requires the Smith House. Not necessary to the quest line but it is require for a non-important task.

Not a complaint but any means but I thought I’d mention it. Roger is spawning at a much faster pace than 4 hrs for me. It’s really random but I just started the quest yesterday late afternoon and I’ve already hid him 7 times

Loving the event. Seems very manageable so far even with the multiple quests at once. The quests for Stan is a nice break while waiting for Roger to spawn. On a side note it seems that Roger is spawning twice back to back before having to wait 4 hours in my game.

What are the unlock times like? I know the event runs through Dec. 4, but with already losing a couple of days to the getPlayArea error, still being locked out, and knowing how long it usually takes me to unlock characters, I’m a little worried.

I’ve not really done much since I’m still unlocking Stan, but the quests seem great! I have just 4 documents to get now, so with a bit of luck I’ve unlocked Stan by the end of the night!
Still toying with whether or not to get the Smith House too >.<

It actually followed one after the other. So even though it was another named quest…it was never two running at once outside the 1 hr needed for the Challenge. It seemed pretty easy to do for me as most Stan’s quests werent too terribly long.
