Note: There is a glitch with the timer that’s making it look like the event ends an hr sooner than it does. The end time for the event is 3pm PST (or 6pm EST or 2300 GMT). That’s been the end time and has not/will not change. If your timer is off and telling you it’s going to end an hr sooner…don’t panic! The event WILL NOT end until 3pm PST.
Hey there Heartbreakers!
The end of the Romancing the Clam is near. That means a quick reminder to grab those items available while you can. Let’s take a peek at all the cool things this Event had to offer. 
First off, to see the end date and time for the event… just tap on the lil Heart Meter in the lower right corner of your game. It will pop up the Main Menu tabs for the Event. The first tab will have Handsome Peter with the information on the end underneath him. (2/26 3PM PST)
Now for a recap of all the items… Many of the Event items you may already have in your town as the game prompted you to get them as you progressed in the questlines. Just make sure if you missed one or want more of ones you can get multiples of (like decorations) that you pick them up before they’re gone.

I think this event was too short. It should have been at least through the weekend. You know? Til the beginning of March. I spent 600 clams and played religiously and still wasn’t able to get all the characters. I just think this time around, i was ripped off. I even bought 5 chapels so I could get all the extra hearts. And it seems like there was almost no point to collecting the Valetines cards. I collected almost 20,000 more than what I spent and I got the thins I wanted from Rupert box, but what’s left I don’t even want cuz they’re just decorations that will get stuffed in my inventory. I’m ready for another district to open up. Im starting to lose interest in the game. 😦

No, if you haven’t fully unlocked Cupid by the time the event ends, he will leave the game. Tasks in process or not. He must be fully unlocked before the event ends

This game is crashing way more than TSTO… it’s been happening ever since I started playing it (not that it’s a long time, but since 2014 Halloween event). Isn’t TinyCo aware of this already? And are they planning to fix it someday?

Remember…don’t compare TQFS to TSTO (even though we all do it). Two different companies, two entirely different games.
Send TinyCo an in game message, let them know your crashing issues. Could be specific to your game. Also, we’ll have a Dear TinyCo post up very soon…you might want to make mention of it on that post. TinyCo has been known to pop in the comments every now and then 😉

If you aren’t enjoying the game then why play? Unfortunately TinyCo can’t extend the event for individual players with crashing problems which isn’t necessarily caused by them, but can be caused by wifi connection and other things too. I was locked out of my game for a week during Christmas, I didn’t moan and once I was back in I did what I could to catch up but wouldn’t have minded not winning everything, it would probably have helped my compulsion to have everything available even if it does sit in storage. I did, however, miss playing the game and looked forward to it being fixed because I enjoy the game and like coming to check on my town, if I stop feeling that I’ll stop playing because being negative doesn’t help anyone. Everyone has to remember TinyCo has millions of people playing their games, they can’t keep everyone happy and can’t fix everything. They are brilliant for listening to their players and always happy to help where they can. Sorry for long essay but just feel maybe you need to take a step back and have a think :l

I got pretty much everything, I collected love hearts for all the prizes, then spent hmv’s and got all the hate prizes. I spent 0 clams on the brian and stewie cupid prizes no biggie already have an abundance of things. Now just waiting for the next event. My big question is where are they going to fit another district, unless like someone else said to do like tsto krustyland shuttle. There just doesn’t seem like enough room otherwise. I’ve never not unlocked all the freemium stuff in an event since Comicon last year. But this time I didn’t manage to get Hot Meg or Cupid. Cupid came too far along the quest line, and the hearts were too slow to accumulate for Meg.
Also the valentines were not useful for much. I spent 90% on what I earned on the Rupert boxes at the end. They put most of the buildings and decorations into the hearts gathering instead of the store.
It was a nice change-up from the standard event games, but it wasn’t terribly well balanced IMHO.

What really bothers me is that there is no Couples timer on iOS. The Android version alerts you when the couples are coming back to get hearts. Not knowing made it harder to time. That will lose me Hot Meg with 71 hearts to go.

I went by the time. They appear at 12:00 am/pm, 3:00 am/pm, 6:00 am/pm, and 9:00 am/pm CST, every three hours each day. I didn’t even use the in-game timer since they spawned at a regular schedule.

What bothered me, is that the android version of the game show a timer when the couples come back. iOS didn’t have that which made it harder to time when the couples were coming back to get hearts. Big oversight which will cost me hot meg…

No other use for these homemade valentines than heart-shaped shrubberies & STD stands? I’ve got 15,000 to spare & that’s without paying clams for one of the delivery services offered up for sale at the beginning of the event. I would be majorly honked off if I had paid clams for one of those things only to find the excess valentines were practically useless at the end of the event. I’m just going to hold onto mine in hopes that they find a way to recycle them like they did the Christmas cookies.

I am short 151 hearts with only a few hours left. Going to miss Hot Meg and pretty disappointed about it. I kept getting screwed out of my hearts by the game crashing and freezing.
Do you know if they will let the mystery box be purchased after the event (like they have done in the past)? It would be nice to have at least a shot at getting Hot Meg. Figures. She was the only thing in this whole event I cared about.

I’m annoyed that I’ve gotten 5+ mystery boxes but no Cupid statue… It’s one of two prizes left but I’m out of time to get more valentines cards so. O Cupid for me which really sucks cause I r been trying my darnest. wtf is with getting the movie theater. Coffee shop, and choirs stupid heart desk platform! They doingnt give valintines cards like they should so, and I feel f’d me over. Now with the little time I have left I could either get cumberpatxh manor, I got him, or make a last ditch effort for Cupid, either way I lose =(

How many more people have missed out on geting cupid all because there was no information that said you needed cupid statue to complete him. I like many others thought the statue was just another decoration so did’nt bother. Now I have used 10,000 cards and still have not got him from Rupert. Having completed every thing else I would have had cupid five days ago if I had knownabout the importance of the statue. Surely there should be some form of compensation for the lack of information. SO VERY VERY DISAPOINTED . Will stick to Simpsons tapped out infuture, at least they dont dupe you.

I tend to disagree with that statement (especially since we write for that game as well). I see BOTH gaming houses having surprises in their game, but that is what games are supposed to be. Full of things for us to find. Things we learn as the game progresses. Without a Challenge, the game would be boring. Do I wish they did it a lil differently, yes. But in the end… I see no difference in theirs and TSTO methods of game play when it comes to surprises added. My opinion anyway.

I absolutely loved this event. Kept me completely busy and I was able to finish everything 2 days ago without using clams to rush any tasks. Got everything I wanted….I love Mr. Sherlock Holmes roaming my town. If it weren’t for you two ladies and these guidelines to help out in phase 1 and 2 I wouldn’t have gotten to phase 3 on time to finish early. Phase 3 had SO much going on that it had me scared for a minute. I needed a strategy to maximize every minute available and thank God for that because I am resting easy now but still busy because once I finished I had a nice, perfectly timed, introduction into D9. Hopefully by the time St. Patty’s day event arrives I’ll be finished with Tom, Vinny and West…seriously doubt it though lol. I’m looking forward to Peter’s dad. That’s who I REALLY want. Thank you ladies.

Noticed a few days ago my timer is off by an hour. My timer is counting down to 5pm EST, rather than 6pm EST. Notified TC in-game, got a response that I’m right and that she “informed the team”, but the timer is still off by an hour. I asked them again to confirm when it will actually end and if the timer is going to be updated, but no response. I’m already done with all the questlines so nothing left for me in this event, but I would imagine for people still working on them that this could be an issue later.

Pdt doesnt start until march 8 when daylight savings begins. Someone messed up the countdown clock by an hr. I messaged them through my game and asked if it would end at 3 pst like it says or when the timer ran out at 2 but no responce yet.

To me, the fact that the quest lines end with the event is a mistake and not right. What little dialogue we get with the characters is a big reason why I play. End the event, fine…but there is no reason not to let people finish the quests..esp..if they are in the middle of them. The quest lines should be independent of the events once you have the character…just sayin.

Main issue is quest requirements. Many times it uses Event only items or tasks. So to continue once all that has been removed would cause a stand still anyway as those things are no longer around.
I enjoy the dialog too. Hope they keep finding other ways to continue them.

Same here, I basically stopped following 2 questlines because they would end after the end. 😦 The same happend to me also on the christmas event. Some characters unlock so late in the event that there is no chance to end the quests. I mean that’s cool to have the event climax by unlocking another character at the end (like Santa, Jesus, Hot Meg, or Cupid) but unfortunately not to be able to end the initiated questline is a let down 😐

I wish they would let us “finish” the quest lines, at least if we are working on the last tasks. I have Peter showing his guns on the last task in one quest line (need 12 hrs to finish and only have 7 left in the event) and cupid and meg on the last task for another quest line (need 20 & 16 hrs to finish). That Grinds my gears (I know not the right topic to post on) but why do they make the last tasks on some quest lines in a timed event the longest possible. 20 hours for cupid to eat cake with the event clock ticking down!!??

As near as I can tell, there’s no way to speed up the process of getting love hearts outside of ending the dates or the new character’s tasks. I’d really like to get Hot Meg, but I’m still quite a ways away (I only just got the Cupid statue 2 days ago).
I didn’t realize the event was ending so soon! There doesn’t seem to be any indication of the event extending right? I thought I was pretty consistently playing every 4 hours, but without an extension, I think I’m out of luck getting the last love/hate prize. Since it’s a costume and not a character, I can survive, but it would have been satisfying to get Hot Meg.

I have around 2500 cards to spend and there’s not enough variety of decorations. I don’t have tons of clams and am constructing two buildings, so probably won’t have time to get the last two buildings I want. In future I will spend event tokens as I get them instead of hoarding them.

If you have some clams you could accelerate Glenda´s action. Wait as much as you can, so you dont expend many clams.

When you get down to about 5 minutes, just use clams to speed it up. It should cost you less than 5 clams.

What everyone else said. In my experience the last 45 minutes of a task usually cost one clam to speed up so you should be fine.
