TinyCo decided to drop a pretty cool update on us. Looks like I better put on my Zoot Suit and grab my Tommy Gun, cuz it’s about to go all Gangster up in here. 😉
In order to have the Update Launch, go to your App Market and download the 1.9.0 Version of the app. For those that experienced the “Idle” Consuela Error Pop Up, please force close and restart the app to clear it out. You will also need to be in district 3 and have Al’s unlocked as well.
The FatFather/ Mobster Event will End THURDSAY JULY 9TH @3PM PACIFIC TIME!!!
So far we have seen it on iOS, nothing in Google Play just yet so hang in there. Keep Checking. It is in Google now, may have to search or restart device to locate it.

This will be in the Top Center of your game. Cookies will be the Event Currency and used for many purchases so keep an eye on them.
EVENT MENU
Tapping on the Don Corleone Image in the lower Right Corner will take you to the Main Event Menu. There you can see all the Basics for the Entire Event.
Here is where you will see the Event Countdown Timer, Current Cookie Count, Featured Items for the Week, Basic How To, and Quick Link to in game FAQ.
We will have more on this in a separate post.
TROPHY ICON
This will directly link you to the Leaderboards. They are not active just yet, not til Monday. Once they go live, all actions prior WILL be counted into the totals. Your “MOB STATUS” is impacted by the Fedoras you collect and more. We will have more of a rundown on this in a separate post.

EVENT AREA
Over to the far right center of your game, you will see the same area reserved for Events now filled with many new and cool looking items. As in previous Events, all may not be in play right now but will be put into use as the Event Progress each week. More detailed info on each section in separate post, but here are the basics.
Here are some of the items you will see~
Copahavana: This is Don’s Nightclub. It is where you will hire the Goons needed to move up in the Event and go after your Rivals. The first Goon will cost 15 Cookies to Hire. It will take 30 minutes for them to be available. You will have to wait 30 minutes for the first to finish before a 2nd will start progressing automatically, and so on. You can hire up to 3 at a time to keep in progression. Or use Clams to speed the process. As you buy more RV’s you can increase your Goon Capacity of how many you can hire at a time by 3 per RV.
Sports Car: Not in use yet, will update when unlocks
Chihuahua Throne: Not in use yet, will update when unlocks
Mansion: Unlocks after Part 6 Mob Mentality. You will be asked to Upgrade the Mansion in Part 6, at which point you will see the PG area. Lol. Upgrading the Mansion is similar to Upgrading Levels in previous Events. As you get to the Next Level, more items launch into the game. Right now, it shows Cleveland Jr & Luchadors for Hire as the Next Phase 2. (Unlocks June 11th)
Brian Statue: Not in use yet, will update when unlocks
Stewie Statue: Not in use yet, will update when unlocks
CONSUELA’S SAFE HOUSE
This unlocks after Part 6 Mob Mentality, You will get a pop up telling you about her Safe House, once you tap “Ready” you will see an additional plot in the Event Area open up that looks like a Warehouse. It will have a GIANT ! over the Entrance.
Tapping on it, you will notice there is an Obstacle in the way you will need to clear in order to progress inside the area.
- “The Pinata Obstacle”: You will need TWO Goons to unlock it. (Goons at Copahavana Night Club). +10 Fedoras & 3 Mexican Candy (For Diabeto)
- “The Vicious Chihuahuas Obstacle”: You will need THREE Bags of Dog Food to unlock it. (Dog Food from Make Mort Retreat Cowardly- Uncommon) +10 Fedoras
- “The Forklift Obstacle”: You will need THREE Goons to unlock it. (Goons at Copahavan Night Club) +15 Fedoras & 3 Mexican Candy (For Diabeto)
Once you pass all 3 Obstacles, you will see the Sparkling Forklift loaded with a pallet of Lemon Pledge ready to tap on the Check Mark. Once you tap it, you will see the info about the Raid. How defeating Kingpin Consuela will earn you even MORE items.

- Stars: 50 Cookies & 250 Fedoras
- Stars: Bad Cockroaches
So you will again see 3 Obstacles in the way to get the next “RAID” complete. More details in another post coming.
COOKIE TRUCKS
These pop up around Mob Mentality Part 3 and will be driving all over your streets of Quahog. Tapping on one will trigger a pop up letting you know you need to hire Goons as well as showing the count of how many you currently have available (#/1). Still verifying Spawns on them, much like previous events they will most likely vary by Player. In my town, I saw 5 right away. Remember to Train Goons in the Night Club to attack them.
My Payout was 5 Fedoras & 25 Cookies for taking one down.
Remember, the Goons are in the Copahavana Nightclub for Hire. 15 Cookies each and 30 minutes (one at a time) to process.
CHARACTER TASKS
Take a look around as you will see there are many of those prior Event Characters that will be helping with the drops (like Star Trek ones). A complete list coming soon of those that will help. So if you got some in storage, now is a time to check.
Star Trek Characters dropping Fedoras may have been a glitch, clarifying that now along with WHO is supposed to help on the drops.
UPDATE: Star Trek Characters dropping Fedoras (Mob Rep) WAS a glitch. So you will not see them pay out.
BASIC RUNDOWN
Your goal for the Event will be to collect Cookies and Fedoras along with training goons to take down Rival Gang Cookie Trucks & Safe Houses. This will help you not only gain items within the game, but also on the Leaderboards.
After Mob Mentality Part 1, Here Comes the Don will trigger asking you to Become the Fatfather. Quagmire will start Part 2 of Mob Mentality. Peter Part 3 of Mob Mentality where you will need to earn 25 Cookies (prior earned will not count)
That is the basics for now. More still to come as we play through it all. There is a LOT of really cool stuff. WOOHOO! So keep an eye out on the site for more posts and details coming soon.

I have been saving up my clams and this is exactly what I would spend them on. I see to get Corleone its in the prizes on leaderboard. I know its early but do you know or think that if you didn’t reach that rank then you could still get him through purchasing him.

Well bummer, always on the weekend 🙂 I got to the second part of the safe house obstacles and set Mort to retreat cowardly and the game randomly closed with no error and won’t restart. It loads splash screen and then just gives a pop up saying Unfortunately, family guy has stopped. Now it hasn’t let me in the last ~8 hours or so. I sent them an email via the Android crash support that popped up after trying to load the game a few times.

Thanks. I’ve already run through everything and reinstalled the game. It ran at first and I got to the point to sign back in and loaded my existing game but it then crashed a few more times trying to load it before finally letting me in. I was able to set new actions but after that it;s back to doing the same thing, can’t get in the game at all. I have plenty of space and resources available for the game to run so I’m just waiting to hear back from TinyCo at this point. Last night I was talking to a friend that also plays the game about not having issues with it very often, so I guess I had it coming 🙂

That happened to me too. I finally got to beat Consuela at the warehouse and then when I went to claim the prize it kicked me out after very many login fails and an uninstall/ restall I got in to be able to leave a message for tinyco and when I went to click on Ollieland it kicked me out gave me the same message you got and I havent been in since. Almost 24hrs now. Im having game withdrawls. Where you able to get back in yet bu any chance

Has anybody been having trouble logging into the game. I have been trying to login now for 3hrs with no luck. It just says game not responding. I contacted tinyco like 10 times with no response. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone else having problems buying diabeto? I have 374 Girl Scout cookies but when I try and buy him it tells me I need 101 more, thus making him cost 475 !? I have messaged tiny co in game buy wanted to see if anyone else was having the same issues ?

Make sure you have not used any of your Cookies somewhere else and the total has not refreshed yet. You may have used some already to buy another building or Hire Goons. Force close the game. Restart the Device. Then go recheck your Cookies available count.

Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere else, I’ve been reading through and can’t find it. I keep getting a connection error on the splash screen. I can’t get past this, therefore can’t report it. Force quit the game, shut down my device (iPhone) normally, force rebooted my phone, tried on wifi and cellular. Losing a lot of potential progress here. Help, please, anyone…

Hi I have a question. I got 2 shady RV, it said she 125 cookie for the first one and higher amount for second. But how come some of my clams(250!) is reduced? I was sure the second one was for cookie not the clam. And even it says the capacity I can hire is for 9 guys but at the moment I can only have 6 max..

I read ur post again that explained why my clams are gone. First is free then clams.. A little cheeky I will need to watch out next time, at least I didn’t waste the clams on some silly decoration or skin. But still I can’t hire the maximum of 9 guys they only let me hire 6.

The ONLY two you can buy right now is 125 Cookies and 250 Clams. The 1000 Cookie trailer isn’t in the game yet. It will be later.
As for the rest… you only have 6 openings for hiring but as soon as one opening clears you can put another Goin in queue for hire. Once you have 9 total in the game, walking streets or in process, you have to wait to use one to hire anymore.

I’m a bit annoyed. I’ve been saving my clams for a long time. And when I’ve finally collected enough to get Cleveland. He disappears.
Now then, I’ve just seen that Cleveland is part of this mobster quest line. How exactly are we meant to use Cleveland as part of this event. If he’s not even available to buy.

Well I won’t be leaving a horse’s head at TinyCo headquarters as I’m thoroughly enjoying this event so far. Early days obviously but it’s looking like good fun and I’m quite relaxed about the Leaderboard, I trust Bunny when she says TinyCo will police this. I’m now off to raid me some cookies. As ever Bunny & Alissa I take my hat off to you (ok fedora) for the extra this community blog brings to the game.

Sorry, not really the right place, but I just saw that BBC2 will get the next series of Family Guy, sadly ITV2 will have Seth McFarlane shows like FG and American Dad. They will shows the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover and the rest of the series, but all episodes are going to ITV afterwards. I wish they would keep BBC3, and give them back to them. I didn’t realise that they were on BBC2 originally, before being moved to 3. I don’t like the decision to move it, I guess I’m just used to it on BBC3 and don’t want adverts in it.

Not sure if this is helpful but I wanted to mention that got a Shady RV for 125 cookies and I’m able to have 6 goons total fermenting in the queue. The RV itself doesn’t drop anything, it’s just like a deco. Also still have the “Shady RV Quest: Lifestyles of the Rich Pt. 3” locked for purchase at 1000 cookies.

can you please help me Bunny, I have already spent a fair amount of clams on this event and I was playing yesterday and and it has been kicking me off since early last night and I have been trying to get ahold of tinyco since and they have not answered. I spent the money on the game so I can get a step ahead of everyone that hasn’t bought anything and now I’m not doing anything, thanks

Ok the thing I don’t get is we have to hire goons for cookies and when I do I get only 25 cookies so that’s really only ten so all three equal 45cookies to hire,,,so that’s 75 cookies received after the raid. So that’s really only 30 cookies,,, that seems backwards for me,,,, at least send some of the 67 charaters that I have on missions,,, at least the ones we paid for,,, crazy,,,,,,but I’m addicted to this game ,,, not really worried to much about getting everything this event haS to offer I got threw the rest of them just got to be patient……..

It depends WHERE you send them. They are also used for Raids on Consuela’s Safe House which will yield a lot of Cookies too. The Cookie Trucks also vary on their payouts. Not all will be the same. 😉

Having issues where after completing 1 star raid, when I press on claim reward, my game completely freezes. I’ve restarted the game multiple times and I have reinstalled the game and I’m still having problems.

Do the goons expire? I put 3 goons in queue before I went to bed thinking they would be avail when I woke up. Nope. They were gone. Like I never even did anything.

I’m having what seems like a serious glitch which I’ve already sent a message to TinyCo about (no response yet b/c of weekend I guess), but I’ve noticed a number of times that when I send goons on raids, the cookies recieved do not add to my total count. And when I exit the game and re-enter later, twice now my cookie total is lower than what is was before exit (I didn’t use any cookies for goons or anything else). Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I can do to try to fix this on my end? This is very discouraging.

First I am hearing of it. Reporting it from game is the right thing. In meantime try some basics like force close and restart your device. See if it helps.

Thanks, I’ll try the usual troubleshooting. Also, could my phone itself cause a specific game glitch like that? It has been giving me some issues lately. And normally, I would not be too worried, but as it will be two days probably before I hear from them, that is quite a lot of lost progress… Hopefully TinyCo will fix this. I’ve always had very positive experiences with their customer support.

Will you please elaborate a little in the Copahavana section on the benefits of using the Goon Recruiting Queue for other players? I didn’t pay attention to it yesterday but today I saw how helpful it was when I was busy with real life have-to’s. I don’t know why but I didn’t realize that while they are generating only one at a time they will begin creating the next without the prior one being used. Thank you again for all the work you ladies do for us, I hope I never make you feel unappreciated here.

When I’ve taken down the cookie trucks I’ve noticed two different pay outs: 25 cookies and 5 hats OR just 10 hats. I think the 25/5 is more common though.
Also, in the post it says that the shady RVs are 1000 cookies? In my game they are showing up as 125 cookies or 250 clams. There are no other rv options. Did I miss something/read something wrong, or…?

Once you buy one for 125 cookies, one will replace it, it will cost 1,000 and is locked until you reach a certain part of the questline. Sorry, I can’t remember what the name of it is but it was part 3 according to the store.

Does anyone know if the original cleveland character will be available to buy again since there is a skin for him, I wasn’t playing at the time of the moon event and didn’t have enough clams when he was up to buy

I don’t know if it happening to anyone else but my goons float along and then occasionally start walking. The goons are supposed to be menacing but they’re actually quite funny floating about 🙂
Also I can visit four of my neighbours but the other one keeps saying “error while trying to visit neighbours quahog”. It’s probably just one of those little glitches that events throw out sometimes.

I’ve been going through the comments and have noticed many people in same boat as me with regards to land I have contacted Tinyco with this issue a few times not too long ago I was told more should be released with new event which of course hasn’t happened so I contacted again mentioning there are many people complaining about lack of land to just be told they’d pass message on. I did press further and said It didn’t make sense to start a new event without the release of more land and the response I got was new land is released with new districts not events so guys don’t hold your breath for new land yet it doesn’t look like it’s happening they don’t seem to be listening! Like many of you I’ve been on this game since the beginning and have many things I have earned and don’t want to just put away and the last few releases of land have been so small they quickly fill as you fill them with the over flow of things you already have as well as new things. As some others have mentioned I too have spent money on this game a fair bit of the Star Trek event but I no longer will as it doesn’t seem worth it not just with the land but also because I lost out on things on Star Trek event because of connection issues and late responses from Tinyco I actually wasted clams aka real money on the even because the issues! I have really like this game which is why I have been willing to spend but now I won’t if I hadn’t already invested so much money into my town I’d have probably stopped playing by now! I feel people need to be listened to and issues especially with land need taking into account! 😤
I know I’m complaining but I just want to say none of these issues are with this site and I wanted to thank you to Bunny and Alissa for all the hard work and help they give! 😉

I’m just putting thus out there….Simpson Tap Out is doing somthing for Pride Month….to bad Family Guy isn’t. Would be nice to see support for the community. Yes I know they released items over the time since release of the game and the Fire Island in the last mini event.

They’ve done stuff for it since release. There are multiple decorations all throughout Family Guy since it launched last year. Buildings, decos, Characters. Why do a month when you can release all year? And I am sure we have yet to see the last of it. 😉

You should have the option of using your premium paid for characters to help on new quests and events like this one. Those people who spend money for the extra people should have the option of using them for events. Only seems fair after spending money for most.

That’s how it used to work, select premium characters from older events would give a small currency drop for newer events, it was nice to get a little bit extra for your money, TinyCo stopped doing that with the past few events.

They used Comic Con characters to help with Star Trek. Character resold and brought back in Best Of 2014 for Clams.

It just shows him coming and the Luchador. As they won’t be released until Thursday, I won’t have any stats on them until then. Right now it is just an image. Similar to the warp core images shown in the Star Trek event.

Did a quick inventory check just now to see which of my stored characters pay out event currency this time around, and I count 45 max-level characters, including three of the main premium characters, that are of no use to me whatsoever. (Yet.)
Sigh.

When I go to the prize system I can claim all the prizes but I only have 638 hats. I’ve send an message to TinyCo but I think that they will think that I’ve hacked the game. I accidently pressed claim by the octopus and he is in my inventory. I placed him and I can’t do him away. I think this is not fair for other players and the whole event isn’t fun anymore because you don’t have a goal to get the last prize. What do I have to do ????

Right after i finished the first 3 obstacles for the safe house last night around a (technically this morning) my game wouldn’t open back up, i reported it by the option that came up and said “family guy has stopped working” and u either click ok or report. I don’t know where i get a reply back from there. I usually play on my android fone but i have a tablet too and i tried logging on from it and same thing no luck. I’ve done the basics including unistall/reinstall. I just got $200 worth of clams about an hour before that (not sure if thats related.or not, but it gave me trouble connecting to the store for about an hour then i was able to. Not sure what to do next? Any help really appreciated

I usually get that error when I have a poor signal or close to MAX on my Memory and have to clear out some space. Did you try some of those basics? Outside of that, if it still doesn’t help… reach out to TinyCO

A very strang glitch happend to me last night when I tapped on the trophy icon. I saw oversized cheeseburgers that filled up all the prize boxes, it only lasted about 1 second and then back to the cookies and clam rewards. Now, I was not hungry or seeing things, and I know whet I saw. So, I’m thinking cheeseburgers will be a part of this event. Anybody else see this?

What’s going on here? I just started Part 1 of the mob mentality quest with Peter and Chris. Peter just finished his 1 hr task and when I checked Chris it shows he has 19 hrs left!!! I swear it started out as a 2 hr task.

This glitch happened to me during the Fireman event. The timer for some reason goes to 20 hours, but if you wait a few seconds and re-click where Chris is (Griffin house) the game will auto-correct itself.

I was already disappointed when I saw the event runs through the beginning of July because I’ll be offline. However, this leaderboard thing (that I realize hasn’t even started yet) makes it sound like theres a whole group of prizes on top of everything I already figured I couldn’t get that will also be out of my reach. Bottom line: TinyCo really needs to remember what time of year it is – lots of people travel in the summer (and Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays) and dont have the ability to check in on the game every 1-2 hours. It’s really frustrating to know I’ve played this game night and day for over a year and there’s a TON of stuff I’m going to miss out on now.

A few thoughts on rewarding loyalty: loads of companies and shops do it, why not TinCo? If you already spent lots of time, effort and/or clams previously, you should be rewarded. I don’t think the playing field can be level between a new player and a level fifty player, anyway. For the last TSTO event I had tons of limited time and premium characters earning event currency for me, yet I didn’t see many complaints about that. And if TinyCo is still worried, why not offer everything that can help in the event for sale again? That way people can make up the time/effort/clams spent by long time players.

Usually I avoid competetive games because of what it can do to people. They tend to get mean-spirited, angry and irrational. I foresee a lot such comments in your future, ladies, judging by what already came up without the leaderboards being active yet. The Whales will probably walk away with the top prizes and people will be much more tempted to cheat to get what they want.
However, I am still hoping to also find some who will basically ignore that part of the game, and go on playing just like before, without getting overly competetive. Let’s form a guild of non-competers!

It is not live so all the stats are not posted on it, but I will tell you this… TinyCo is watching VERY closely on the Leaderboards. Any found “abusing or cheating” in them will actually be banned from them. 🙂

I am more worried about a larger amount of people being tempted to cheat, than cheaters actually walking away with the prizes. Anyway, I already decided to not care about who gets what, including myself. Less worry, more fun. 🙂

Its weird when I first got into the event I saw that you could purchase one of the shady rv’s for 125 cookies so I did. Its not up there now as that much. Its 1,000 or 250 clams. That’s good for me. It must have been a glitch. Anyone else get one for that less? I also think its kind of a bummer that the star trek characters aren’t actually earning event currency. I thought that tinyco listened to some of the complaints where the characters that we all worked so hard for are actually going to be useful in future events. I like this event though. I was waiting patiently for it and am looking forward to what the next couple of weeks are going to bring. Thanks bunny for the rundown. 🙂

Yes me too. I purchased it for 125 cookies then shortly after I checked the menu n the RV is now “locked” until part 6 of the quest line (I’m at part 3 of said quest line) but the price has also changed to 1000 cookies
Hoping this was a happy accident on tiny co’so part, do u guys (our great leaders☺) kno about this?

The update crashed upon me several times, losing most of the previously assigned actions. After I saw that -one again- none of my premium characters was earning event currency, I uninstalled. I’m done with this annoying game.

Just found a bug: when you send Chris on the ‘enjoy private time’ quest and you look at the Griffin’s house, it will say everytime that his quest ends about 30 seconds… It doesn’t matter when you send him on this quest, he will stop enjoying his private time in 30 sec 🙂 Unfortunately he will not drop a pinkie ring :p
Anybody else who have the same bug?

??? How so? If you still have the log in for it, you can unlink the old one and relink the game to a new one. I did it with mine when FB shut down my account.

Very disappointed we’re back down to like 5 characters who can help. Also, I bought one of the Shady RVs for cookies, and I’m still limited to just one Goon for Hire at a time. Second slot says I have to update mansion, others just say Locked.

Look at the very top of the Pop Up ABOVE the Goon (see image in this very post too). It changes how many you can hire MAX. Not the sequence of Goons hired, there are more to come that will fill those other slots.

There are 2 more characters like Neil Goldman, Death and Evil monkey. Bottomtooth man and Greased up deaf guy are in the store with a lock.

Is unlocking diabeto from the dulce candy shop a fully playable character with tasks to assign or is he an npc deco like we had in the Halloween event last year?

Ok so same basic characters with tasks to unlock skin -Peter, Lois, Bonnie, Joe, Jerome & the happy guy, and quag gets to earn fedoras for two tasks. So WTD why no other characters. Such as vinnie? Whats with these Goombas to dis Vinnie, Brian etc at the start. Sure i’ ll. see how it plays out. But at least i got quag and Lois back from the painfully long nature tasks, but having quests longer than 8 hrs for routine tasks in the quest lines is painful! (Ie using quag to get pinecones but also having a day long task in the quest line! I’m not the S&M cow but feel like her at times!

Seems like a cool event so far but note to t-co…not really motivated to spend clams on getting more stuff in my town because I have no land to put anything new on…if something new comes in something old comes out and after several cullings my inventory is already full of cool buildings I’d like to place in my town, but cannot…Obviously this is an issue that is going to affect players who have plated the longest and spent/spend the most clams, so maybe they should fix it before too many people stop spending clams…so cool, cool, cool, but, land, land, land.

Love these long events. Feels like a new section to unlock. I’ll take this over those short less than a week events because I stress about finishing. This seems to have plenty to do and unlock and mess with and over a month to do so. I must say I love those first few days of everyone figuring out the best method for achieving the goals and discovering content. Good times!

I’ve Emailed TinyCo this suggestion in the past, but I wish event currency tasks was always listed at the top of the task lists the same way item drop tasks are always listed at the top.
