Hello There Tribblemakers!
It’s been a while since we put one of these up, but figured it was a good time.
As the game evolves we’re noticing more and more of you commenting about upcoming items/features you’d love to see in the game..or even questions/concerns you have about the game. So we’ve decided that once in a while we’re going to give you guys the 1 central place for you to put your game requests (features, events, characters, decorations etc) would be the best place for TinyCo to see all of your great ideas!
Remember..TinyCo does listen to YOUR requests (and they read this blog!) as evident by a ton of the features we see in the game today!
And to get the ball rolling I’ll kick it off…
Dear TinyCo… Bunny would like…
1: The Inventory a little more organized. I like there are 3 separated tabs, but I would like it to go a step further if possible. I would like the Decorations & Buildings either Alphabetized or maybe grouped into Events (they kind of are…but still odd ones pop in there). It takes a bit to find something in there with all our cool “stuff” we got. Especially when something is just randomly placed in the middle.
2. Cancel Characters Task Option. It sucks when you want to send a Character to do one thing but accidentally send them on another. Or… just sent them off and they’re all of the sudden needed but now you’re stuck for hours. Being able to pays coins to STOP the Task in its tracks would be great. Maybe the amount you would have earned from that task? It would make coins more useful and it a bit easier on us to not have the only options of Clams to get out of a task.

1. I would like to see an option to turn off dragging characters.
2. Inventory should stay open, once you’ve selected an item to retrieve, in case you want to select more characters, buildings, etc.
3. Add characters: Vern and Johnny, the vaudeville piano playing duet
4. Add character: Carl, voiced by H. Jon Benjamin (comic book guy) as a permanent player, with a questline

I would love to see a (then there where fewer) event with James woods Derek and other charecters like maude from the episodes not already in the game, with second chances with jillian and Diane and a load of costumes suit and ties for the guys and dresses for the ladys just like in the episode this would be a great addition to the game getting costumes for all the charecters in the game sorry for no punctuation 🙂

I personally LOVE the feature and wish they would “rag doll” more characters. If anything… offer a “Disable” function for those that don’t enjoy it as much as me. 😉

I know we just got some more but a whoooole bunch of land would be nice! I dont like having to hide so many of my freemium buildings that I worked so hard for during events!! = D

The 2 examples given of course, along with:
Send characters to the multiverse to help friends get items. (I understand this would be a ton of work)
Water buildings and decos.
A day/night cycle. (Another that would be a ton of work)

A world war 2&1 event where it could have hitler Stewie and nazi mort and so. This might be controversial but seriously the entire show is controversial sooooooooooo……… Pretty please with a cherry on top 🍒

An event like this would be great. It could even have Mr. Herbert in military uniform and as a new character, preferably freemium as Franz Schlechtnacht in Nazi uniform. FG S09 E11

It seemed like the Star Trek event was a decent way to add land. Make different districts that are smaller but you switch between them. Then it would use less memory and be more stable. You could have a ton of districts then and no shortage of land.

I’m finding more and more thanks to tinyco I have a mish mash of things from different events and tried to make it like a town however it would be great to have more useful normal town like decorations like pavement 1×1, and water features such as lakes or rivers and bridges to link the roads and rivers, how awesome would that be, making the town not at all more complex on a data level but much more aesthetically,

I’d like to be able to have a better zoom and be able to zoom out and observe the whole of your quahog and keep the closest zoom the same, it would be great to see everything I’ve created in one scene

Dear Tiny Co.
Thank you for the many hours of fun you have given me. I would love to see different styled walkways and sidewalks. During many of the events i have seen in the area that is always used but then disappears at the top of the town, walkways that look like bricks or sidewalks that are not ever able to be bought. There are so many of the little decorations in this area that i want so bad. But like i said never available. I would love to see these in my Quahog.

Actually, I think I’ve solved both the land crisis and the inconsistently-sized buildings crisis…
Make the buildings’ sizes adjustable. As long as players keep the buildings to their correct proportions, they would be able to make the Griffin House as big as a mansion or as tiny as Chip’s.

* Dancing in the streets! – I’d love to see an option for each character, especially the ones that we had to get with clams or through events, have a 24 hour task of “Dancing in the Street”. What’s that? Just what it sounds like, a task of just having the character dance through the streets instead of hiding in a building. It would be nice to have a button to send everyone who has not been assigned to anything else to go dance in the streets at once.
* SCREENSHOTS! – Add a button that would allow us to make a screen shot of our entire town and save it to our devices.
* Saved layouts. For many events, a lot of us completely nuke our well built towns to build mazes or whatever. I’d love to be able to “Save and Nuke” my current town, play the event and then have the option to recover the previous layout with any new items being sent to my inventory.
* Premium characters needs to be more than a one shot. They cost real money and become nearly useless after an event. I think that all premium characters should remain significant, even if in only a small way, for event currency or items, etc.
* Ability to cancel tasks or builds underway.
* Water decorations
* Convert vehicle decorations into animated items that can roam the streets.
* Ability to return *all* of a particular item into inventory from the town.
* Ability to purchase more of an item *even* if I still have some of it in inventory.
* More *good* uses for coins.
* Allow older buildings that costs clams that offered advantages at earlier levels to be purchased for coins at a higher price. For example, if it cost 60 clams originally, perhaps it would cost 600, 6000, or 60,000 coins. This would only be available to players who are past the point where it would have been usable for them.
The remaining ideas are around the idea of more interaction between players, particularly friends:
* The ability to trade with friends.
* The ability to sell items and stuff on an “open market”. Check out SimCity BuildIt for an example of this.
* The ability to give friends “gifts” by visiting their town and dropping items there. The same thing in regards to coins and clams.
* The ability to leave messages in friends towns.
* The ability to leave messages in our own towns for our friends to see when they visit.
* Vandalizing friends towns. I don’t know what form this could take. Perhaps having a character that could be dropped into one of our friends towns that would rob them, graffiti their buildings, whatever.
* Facespace! Let the players have their own Facespace page so that they can have fun with it with just their friends.
* When visiting friends towns, let us see their inventory, clams and coins. Some of us are very competitive with our friends.

It would be fun if it wasn’t always sunny in Quahog. Maybe there are rainy days in the spring/summer, leaves turn colour in the autumn, sometimes snowstorms in the winter. Also, the game could detect your timezone based on your phone’s location, and make it night time in Quahog when appropriate. Instead of background music, there would only be crickets chirping, and light would spew from a few buildings’ windows (Mini-Mart, Geronimo’s Palace, McBurgertown, Hospital, Drunken Clam, any Houses where a character is inside, etc.) but not from offices or the Fedora Haberdashery or buildings of that nature, which would be closed and dark. The Lamp Posts could also provide lighting effects on the street.
This would probably be a major overhaul, but given enough time, anything is possible……..

Event idea: Happy Days / Laverne and Shirly / Mork and Mindy. Use actor names, not character names so some can be reused with costumes for a future Arrested Development, Andy Griffith event.
Merge Patrick Stewart and Captain Picard.

I love the idea for Happy Days/Laverne & Shirley! That would be amazing, and there is already somewhat of a Happy Days relationship with the show… I would purchase clams.

If you can’t make road placement more granular, at least shift it so roads can be placed on the land border.

Allow a more granular placement of **roads**.
Allow friends who are not linked through Facebook, but can be confirmed by emails or another contact system.
If I place a character into storage, (and I have not tried this) if he gets a special payout task for an event, alert me to put him back out on the street.
Allow characters to be sorted by something other than name. Bubble sort characters to the top of the list if they have an event, item, or blue task. Don’t make me plow through a bunch of crap characters to get to Mr. Washee Washee for his item task.
When assigning tasks, if I skip four characters to get to a fifth character to assign a task specifically to him, don’t sort me back to the beginning.
Guarantee 24 hour tasks for all characters (Vinny, Ron Perlman, Captain Picard).

Expand into the ocean to place items in the ocean.
Allow a more granular placement of buildings.
Fewer buildings that would obscure characters walking on streets behind the building.

If a characters has multiple item payout tasks on different costumes, sort all those tasks to a single interface.

Dialog Replay (or at least go back a panel). Often when clicking several checkmarks in a row, one of them has ended a quest task resulting in funny character dialogue. But because I clicked fast, I missed the first panel, and would like to replay the whole thing, or at least go back & forward through it.
Clicking on things doesn’t make the game “Family Guy”. These guys work hard to make sure the humor sounds like the show, we should never miss a joke (even if its our own clumsy fingers’ fault)! 🙂

Costume Stuff drop indicator

I would like a better indicator if a character’s costume drops stuff. For example, Mermaid Peter drops a bottle cap (for Pawtucket) but the costume is buried so deep within Peter’s other costumes, that I wouldn’t find it unless I looked for it. In the same way that Quest tasks appear in blue at the top, I’d like an indicator that shows me that a costume drops stuff.
Along the same line, Is there a better way to organize and display all of a character’s costumes?
If more land is hard? Why not make things smaller?

I know a lot of people have asked for land. I would like some more too. However as a possible solution. If adding more land is hard, can’t you make existing assets smaller?
If you made everything 10-20% smaller, then there would be more space to place things. We can zoom in pretty far, so I don’t see how making things smaller would hurt playability, because I’d just play at 120% zoom instead of 100%.
Use for premium characters

Another ‘want’ many of us have. We spent money on these characters and would like to use them more often. I also get that it’s hard for Tiny Co to really use these character because they can throw the balance of a game/event off. They’d make events too easy for old players, or make it impossible for new players to complete an event.
As a solution, I’d like to see a premium currency (or event currency) that my premium characters (or old event characters) could earn. This premium currency could be used to buy coins, clams, special items, building skins, special character animations, or (my personal favourite) ‘discounts’ for stuff during special events (like those dang tubas). This way my premiums are still doing something useful, but hopefully you can mitigate their effect on the balance of the game.
More building skins

I’d like building skins and ways to make my quohog look different. I’ve love to see destroyed building skins, sepia-toned buildings, maybe even a way to skin the entire town. (Like make grass into dirt, or trees into burnt out trees)

-Instead of more land maybe more sea. I have all these islands but nowhere to put them and all my boats have to stay docked.
-Keep all premium characters available for sale year round that way they can be reused for more events without people feeling cheated if they’re new. Maybe do a weekly sale too.
-Start doing something with coins. Once you get deep into the game they become almost useless. Maybe trade 100000 for 1 clam or allow people to end non-event tasks for a hefty price.
-Give out better rewards for questlines. I never do them during events anymore because the payout is not worth it and i spend most my time trying to unlock characters. It kind of takes away from the game, i used to enjoy the questlines but now seem to skip them because i feel rushed and they’re not worth the effort.

Land, Land, and even more land. Seriously, they just added 3 land sections with the latest district and 2 of them are already filled with the buildings and decorations they introduced in the last 2 weeks. You can’t rebuild Quohog without land, they need to open up the whole top row..

I would love it if your events started on Monday’s rather than Thursday’s.
It would be better if your events ended @ midnight instead of 6pm (I’m on the east coast) i’m a working man and need a little more time for the events lol

1. Utilise FaceSpace more to visually show who’s active on quests & also show if a storyline quest is available (such as S&M Louis can collect part XYZ for example).
2. Rotate whole of Quahog round thru 90º steps.
3. Increase Max Level to say 80 or 100.
4. Display how much Gold it costs to speed up a task on the progress bar.
5. +1’s to other suggestions like ‘Cancel’ task at a cost of coins; re-display when you can visit neighbors for possible clams; make more than Jesus make clams; bring back the advert options for clams; Sell old junk and finally ever increasing daily rewards for the week.

Event Ideas!
1. X-Files
I would love to see an X-Files themed event where the Family Guy crew have to solve some sort of alien conspiracy with the help of Mulder & Scully. With new episodes of the show coming early next year (and to FOX no less!!) it could be a timely piece of cross promotion.
2. Star Wars
The Star Wars themed Family Guy tele movies were some of the funniest episodes and would be perfect for an event. Pretty much all the characters in the game could be given Star Wars skins. (I’m guessing the reason this hasn’t been done is because of the rights to Star Wars going to Disney..but i can still hold out hope! :p )
3. Marvel
A Marvel comics themed event would be amazing..who wouldn’t want iron man, captain America, Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Deadpool, Thor and all the Marvel gang in their games right? :p We’ve already got Stan Lee..now we just need his creations and an event to go along with it, haha

Job Manager/Cancellation- something so users know what their characters are doing instead of having to tap each building to know how much longer jobs are going to take. A few times, I’ve setup a job for a useless person then they are needed for a task.
Inventory- a more organized inventory would be great so we don’t have to take long looking for specific items. Maybe an event section that has a dropdown menu of all the events.

Dear Tinyco, I would LOVE different types of paths and more decorations so I can develop my town further, yes more land would be great but how about resizing some of the buildings that are impossibly big and don’t fit well.
I am also curious about some of the characters that have been sitting there locked for a year (death and evil monkey) I really hope d last Halloween they were to be unlocked but they were not!
Also how about an event where there are community prizes like in TSTO. Never let mob rule rule us again! THANKS

I think there are common themes coming through the comments and I would agree with the one about use of premium characters for events. By all means have tasks that use new premium characters to help with the collecting but there isn’t any harm to sneak in an extra task or 2 using events (or even just Jake, Buzz, BDH or Consuela!). I’ve actually stopped purchasing premium characters from events now as the short term gain is not worth it.
Also, Death and Jack(?) Goldman have been in the characters to arrive part for too long. I’m all for teasers but not releasing either for District 11 is a bit off, it has been months.

I would like the face space feature to be better. It would be better if there were more character collections not just made for events so we can get more clams and also add characters to existing groups. For example, add Olivia to the kids group with Chris Meg staewie and connie. Another thing that I have noticed is that when you go any any recent characters facespace page they are only friends with Peter and Lois. Shouldn’t Cleavland Jr. be friends with Cleavland? One more thing about it, is that some characters can get to another on the face space page but not back to the character. For example you can get to Joe’s page from Cleveland but not to Joe from Cleavland. Sorry to be picky but I really like the facespace feature.

I would like to see a option for using coins (not clams) to get older event characters ie super Peter or American dad for those if us who came in way after the fact… ( I myself arrived at the 1 year mark) … oh and by the way is the giant chicken hanging around somewhere? I would have thought he would be in the game seeing as he help destroy the town in the first place… thank you for your attention… (not now Lois, Im playing with the game here…)

Another suggestion: for buildings that can be built several times (bank, furniture shop, etc.) I’d like to have a tiny counter of how many I have already built. In a big and crowded town it is easy to lose count and build too many or have unwanted duplicates 😉

Dear TinyCo. Please make return of the 1-day earning taks for previous event characters in new events (e.g. in the Halloween event Kool-aid man could do a 1-day task to earn spirit vials). Also please make Liam Neeson a character and a coin to event currency converter at the end of an event for example, just so I can finish collecting enough decos.

I would like to see a voyager event. Janeway is the best. How many captains do you know that would mine a nebula..and almost kill a new sentient species…for coffee. Plus with ensign harry kim and tom paris.. And cmon you know baelana (spelling?) Would totally try to gut quagmire.. Or use the pain sticks on him 😉 the chemistry and humor would be endless.
As far as features go, please just let us sort our inventory. Not just purchases, but all owned stuff when you go to plop it out.. Man i feel like im scrolling forever.
And finally…show some love for the windows devices already. We got a half baked version that was never updated and couldn’t connect cross platform. Humbug. 😦
Ok last thing i mean it. Keep up the great work. Every event so far (except the mobsters, you killed it with a timed contest giving no room for yourselves to iron out glitches. But really every other event…) Has been amazing. Despite our griping you usually have everything balanced out very well.

– Be able to place appropriate decorations in the water. I have a island and ship sitting half on land and half on water.
– The ability for premium characters to help out more, they don’t do much. The ones from events as well. Not every character in every event, but have one star trek character and one Halloween character help out for an event. The next time have Phineas & Barnaby help out. Even look at having some premium characters tied to a regular character e.g. If you have a quest item dropping for a Dr Hartman task, let Dr Crusher do a similar task as well.
– More space for stuff, It is the quest for stuff after all, I have that much stuff I can’t fit it in.
– Like the idea about for a cancel task.

Both of your ideas sound great to me! Also an exclamation point instead of just a check mark like they do when theres gonna be a conversation over a characters head when they are going to talk when they first get done a task so you know there is going to be dialog instead of just collecting what it’s supposed to drop. I missed out on so many of the mini talks that they have and I like when they talk to each other cause it’s usually funny and I miss out on it cause I tap something else and then all I catch is the end of the conversation or just the crowd laughing.

I would like a cancel task and cancel build. Where at any point after starting the task you have the option to cancel it for no reward, no chance at stuff, just a straight up “oops i need this guy” fix.
Also premium characters should have more actions, and be more useful in the future. I find we pay to get them but they have next to no actions and they just sit there doing the same tasks over and over until we get fed up and put them away. For example, I paid clams for human Rupert, he doesn’t have much he does, he’s not even voiced and hasn’t been useful for anything, what a waste of clams he was.

Also I forgot, a list of what character is in what building performing what task and how long they have left.
And a list of characters that use each building in the description section of it in our inventory so we know what we need and for whom. There just isn’t enough space to leave everything out all the time.

Just out of curiosity, when did you get Rupert? I ask because out of all the Premiums… him and Consuela are the two that keep popping up here and there as an option to help out with Character Material Collections. Was it recent?

I got human Rupert when Buzz Killington disappeared and he appeared. I’m sure he was related to an event before my time but he has been quite useless to me so far.

I really would like the ability to trade with friends. I have alot of extra stuff from events and my friends have just started playing…so they missed out on stuff. I would love to be able to send them my extras.

– Show Rewards for Questline Completion (like how each building shows reward; so when event is ending, you know which is actually valuable to you)!

A way to convert money into clams. I’m not saying something like 1 coin is 1 clam, but something like maybe 100 coins is 1 clam.
A system that allows players to have a reward everyday of the week, and have a ‘big’ reward every last day of the week. Like maybe 1,000 coins one day, and on the second day, maybe a deco, on the third, and so forth. On the last day it could be a limited day quest to get some random character you didn’t get yet because you were late, or even a skin. Maybe even a 100 clams at the last day of the last week of a month. Seems fair.

I would like to see a Quahog shop which you can enter where it has all items and characters from previous events. Obviously items purchased during events for clams remain as clams. That way people who joined the game late or missed stuff in an event have the option to get it again.
If you wanted to expand it a little further people could buy decos, buildings or characters from other players similar to the way Farmville operates.

Also, I think a very common one:
Make the Premium characters useful. I paid a lot of money for them to be used for a week?! No. I want the Premium characters, doesn’t matter if they are from Star Trek or Halloween, to be useful in every if not most mini event and main event.
This is, I feel, a valid request. I paid more for these characters so I and everyone that’s has premium characters should have an advantage.and this goes for all the characters from the past, with over 80 characters in the game and you only using 10?! Why even add them if they are just as good as not having them?
