Hey there Toady Roadies!
Phase 4 has been Speaker Blasted into our games. Deadmau5 is droppin da bass, Herbert is trying to impress the kids, Honey Bees attracted some Golden Honey Bears, and a Family Guy:TQFS Player has been added to the game. Hey Carl!
On top of all this, TinyCo added a Challenging and an Additional “Bonus” questline into the game that completing takes a lil more than the usual Questlines, but awards a bit more on the Payout with some Bonuses. Including 5 Clams upon completion of it all. The Questline is A Rising Star.
Let’s take a look at A Rising Star and all you will encounter along the way.
Remember, this triggers for Phase 4 so if you are not there yet… you won’t see it. Also, as it states in the very first pop up, the Clams will not arrive until you complete the entire Questline.
Another trigger point was just verified, Deadmau5 in the Hau5 Pt. 3, so make sure you have this task completed in order to be able to see A Rising Star.
As this is a more Challenging “Bonus” Questline… it will be a work in progress. Mostly held up by Spawns. So, I will complete the info as I get to it in my own game. I got to wait the Spawn hours too. 😉
A Rising Star Pt. 1
Peter starts
Clear 6 Bears- 
Requires 1 Picnic Basket Earned @ 4hrs each to Train Rangers. Total of 12 Picnic Baskets needed. Requires 12 Park Rangers Trained @ 1hr each.
Clear 10 Bee Swarms- 
Requires 1 Honey Earned @ 2hrs each to Train Beekepers. Total of 10 Honey needed. Requires 10 Beekeepers Trained @ 45 mins each.

Catch Greased Up Deaf Guy 2 Times- (Shows up approx every 12-15hrs, at least once a day)
Completed Task Earns 5 Clams, 40xp

Techno? I will assume you mean Dance? Can you be a lil less vague? Who is it? Man, Women, Animal? A lil description of the “Locked Character”?

Noooo! All I need to do is perform another encore… Just need to finish Herbert’s 24h task. But that will be Friday morning in the UK so I suspect the stage will lock out and prevent me doing the encore 😦 Wish you had to tap something to trigger the next phase rather than it being auto.

I was searching for him to assist with tickets for the track and I have not seen him since the new content on Thursday and placing the tub. I am still stuck on Part 4 so I can’t comment on his appearances during Part 5 but it’s a bummer that he seems to have stopped showing. I would have waited placing the tub until I got all the tickets I needed. Even one appearance (and one ticket) a day for the last four days would have helped more than the two grease tubs I have from the robots.

As soon as you place the Vat to start earning items to pull him into the game permanently… he stops running around town, which makes sense as he is now becoming a possible permanent fixture in the game.

Does that mean we can’t complete this quest line? If so I will stop working on it. Was only doing it for the precious clams since there was no timer and I thought we had until the end of the event.

Part 5 of the quest line states to catch him twice. People are saying he stops showing once you place the grease vat. I am not to Part 5 yet but I won’t bother continuing the quest line if he won’t even show again once I get there as I will never be able to complete it and get the five clams since I placed the vat. I am only taking characters away from other tasks to do the quest line so I can earn the five clams. If it won’t even matter since I can’t catch him ever again since he stopped appearing, I won’t bother working the rest of the parts.

According to TinyCo a patch to ensure you finish should trigger him to complete it. If not let them know right away. They want to make sure you are able to finish it.

Should I report this to Tinyco about GUGD not appearing for the part 5 of the true fan questline?
I had placed the vat o grease without realizing GUGD will stop spawning.

Well, I guess it is good that I already have Belgard unlocked for Pt. 4 because then I don’t have to worry about unlocking him for this part of the challenge. Really looking forward to Phase 5 to hit so I can get Rick rolled. 😉

I am strugglin to unlock DJ Herbert, and if I had wasted any of my precious picnic baskets doing this quest and got only glowsticks and 2 guitar picks I would have lost my mind!

Luckily I bought several of the baskets and got Tomik, Neon Pegasus (drops 250 glow sticks constantly, HotChocolate Van, Large Speakers, 175 clams, and several other awesome goodies, spent about $100 on clams but I got Starbright Peter! So excited. Basically if you want all the good stuff you gotta pay Tiny Co dearly …oh well, I could spend money on worse things,

Bunny, do you know the spawn rate for toads? They aren’t spawning like they were before the “collect 40 toads” quest. 1 every 3 hours is problematic.

Keep in mind this is NOT timed. Do it at your own Leisure. In my game I had plenty of them within a day if not half a day. They still Spawn aplenty. Not as much, but still a lot of them.

Glad I looked here for “what was coming”. On the 30 toad part now and notice Belgard is required next. Won’t be getting him unless I get mad glowsticks over the next event that I don’t need.

Bunny I’m wondering how you managed to clear 40 toads so quickly. I have been checking many times per day and I’m still only at 20. At this rate I won’t finish for a couple more days and I started clearing them 2 days ago so a good 4 days total. It didn’t seem as long for you unless I wasn’t paying attention.

I have always seen them spawn like crazy since they popped in the game. All my games the same. I am also in my main game ALL the time. Like every few hours if not more. So I don’t know if due to I clear them all so fast, they have a chance to respawn. If you don’t clear them and they MAX (which I think is 10/12) then when the next spawn hits, you will miss out on those too. Make sense?

Why is it every you are required to get a certain number of an item, the item spawn rate drops significantly. i.e 40 toads. I used to have 4 each time, now it only spawns 1 every 4 hours??? LAME

Bunny, I’ve currently got 6000 glow sticks, would you advise getting Belgard now in order to have time to collect the stuff needed to unlock him, or would you advise waiting until after Phase 5 is released tomorrow.

With a new phase so close… you may want to wait just a bit longer to see if you need them for a main item or character

For me the Starbright Express Peter quest (Star Light, Star Bright Pt. 1) started on monday. It requires me to build the Starbright Roller Rink for 1500 glowsticks! I am not interested in spending my hard earned glowsticks on something useless if the quest doesn’t give me something in return. Do you have any updates on this questline?

It is due to he uses it for one of his first tasks as well as it is a permanent task. I will have an updated walkthrough coming later. You can always set it aside and wait til the end of the Event to see where you are.

Keep in mind that others may enjoy what you do not. It actually uses a lot of items Players are using anyway and goes along with some requirements of other tasks. It is extra Glowsticks and Skull Guitar Picks that players are seeking more of. Things I see being asked for in the comments on my end. It is Free Clams, regardless of amount, it is still free clams. I am not gonna knock them giving out Free Clams. If we complain too much about something like that, than they will feel it is pointless and take it away. I for one do not want Free Clam options taken away. Those “lil Free Clams” added up to some cool Premium Purchases for me. Less money out of MY pocket. I am for that. 🙂

Thanx for the prompt reply.Yea,ive spent literally thousands so far, including a modest 118clams during this event. Like i said too,the Fan Challenge questline did start and end as scheduled which made me think that I must have also progressed far enough to start Rising Star but i still don’t see it…Im only on pt3 of the main phase 4 questline,in an effort to save up glowstks,maybe i need to reach pt4 or of5? .I msgd tinyco in game….Has anybody else encountered this?

I have received my rewards for the first leader board thing,, now I still have the guitar showing 128 Blammies, please tell me that the second leader board thing, is not going to use Blammies,, or that the Blammies that we already have are going to count towards the second leader board prize.
Because that would mean many people would be starting off with a huge lead.
I am sure that this will not be the case, but any info on the next leader board thing, would be greatly appreciated.

I only need to clear 1 more Gold Honey Bear and I’ll reach part 3 of the questline, as I already have Carl and DJ Herbert this and the week 1 challenge were pretty easy, and this feels like a chill pace to this Phase, and having the Toad Pond will make the next part easier to do.

This isn’t too hard to do if you worked on the Challenge and are still unlocking DJ Herbert needing Records. You’ll get through the first 2 parts without really focusing on them.

That is what I am seeing. Doing Week 1 Challenge Pretty much cleared Part 1 and working on Encores and needing Honey Gold Bears Cleared Part 2. So I feel it is well paced with close to what you are already working on for other items in the Event. 😉

Keep in mind that not EVERYONE gets the Clam TV. It is only in testing… so no… Not ALL Players get that everyday. On top of that, you get Glowsticks and Guitar Picks. Items that may benefit Players needing them. So don’t knock something just because it may not suit what YOU want. Free Clams to the rest of us is still Free Clams. 😉
