In the midst of our lil Septemberfest Event, TinyCo has made the Update to Mr. Weed in the Lazarus Portal Permanent now.
Those of you who have been waiting to pull him out or want him in your game, he is now going to be available to you.
As I already have him in all my games, I will be flying a lil blind on this one. So anyone that does pick him up and would like to fill in the blanks or send in clean full resolution screenshots, feel free to do so. (Pics of him in the Portal, his “You Ressurected” screen, and him in front of the Portal.)
MR. WEED IN THE LAZARUS PORTAL
Peter’s Old Boss Mr. Weed released originally during the Halloween 2014 Event will now be a permanent fixture to your Lazarus Portals and the Graveyard District 11.
In order to get him you first will have to continually try to Resurrect him out of the Portal by using Zombie Parts gained from tapping on Zombies roaming your game or pulled out of the Lazarus Portal.

If you are successful in pulling him out of the Lazarus Portal, you will see him appear in front of the Lazarus Portal similar to the others with a Lock Symbol over him. Tapping on the Lock Symbol will show you the items you will need to gather in order to pull him into your game live.

8 Home Movies (Rare): Olivia Study Script OR Madame Claude Fake Patois
Once you have gathered all the items he needs, you will be able to pull him into the game Permanently as a fully tasked Character. Keep in mind that this is a District, here to stay in the game, and you have all the time you need to Resurrect and unlock him so don’t be discouraged as this WILL take time to do.
**Per TinyCo, no Grave for him and they are still working on his Questline**
I am still verifying a few other pieces of information for him (like his grave and Questline) and will update the post further once I do. But for now, those of you that do NOT have him in your game should now be able to work on getting him into your game from the Lazarus Portal.

I received Mr. Weed before I got the time portal. I was bummed to find he doesn’t come with a grave. I wonder if they’ll create a “Happy-go-lucky Toys.”

I know I’m super late, but is Jerome still supposed to be able to drop baseball bats? Right now my game just shows Peter as an option, which will be difficult because I’m using him pretty heavily in the event.
Just want to make sure I’m actually having an issue before I contact tinyco.

I explained the problem to tinyco and they asked how many Softball Bats I needed. I picked 10 and they gave them to me. 🙂 They forwarded the problem to the programmers.

Am currently working on Mr. Weed and only Peter Fetching a Magician is an option for collecting Bats. Jerome’s Superior Athlete makes more sense, but is not available now. (I have a screencap if you need it. Just tell me how to link one.)

Ok well I have maxed out (my level cap) and the Christmas event is over…. I don’t have any more quests after district 11. I have all 4 characters unlocked…. Are there any more quests after this or have I reached the point as far as I can go for now?

Ok Thanks Bunny….I appreciate you getting back to me and everything you do for this site. It is a GREAT help!!!!! I already got Paddy unlocked and am still working on Loretta… Only 2 more bubbles left lol. Just wanted to keep up to date on the Portal with everything else going on in the game.

Just resurrected Mr. Weed, now working to unlock him. Took ALOT of tries to get him out so yahh for me! As a freemium player it’s harder for me( but don’t cry for me Argentina) but in reality I just have to wait. It’s funny to think of you guys buying stuff but I guess if I could I would also so no hating on my part! This game helps me kill a lot of time which I have plenty of anyway so there you go. One thing I could think to change would be give me some way to earn more clams so I can add Cleveland to my game for instance. I’ve got like 2 million coins and not a lot to spend them on. I bought plenty of hearses and septemberfest parade floats, whatever moved and all that really got me was it cut my sound off the game and telling me I don’t have space when the game loads. And since I spend a lot of time playing I think it’s easier to unlock stuff and do the quests. Between what I spend ($0) and the fun I have playing (bunches) I can overlook any slight hiccups (the rare ones I’ve seen) and say Thanks and Keep up the good work!!

Also I’ve been playing for 2 yrs maybe more my ex is maxed out, 57/79 on the character sqaure, on Real Men Wear Lederhosen pt5, Back to the Brewery pt7, and from Pawtucket Brewhouse I got all except bathroom helicopter, Opie statie and Brewbot

So last years Halloween I didn’t unlock Francis, Mr.Weed and Diane Simmons. Is it possible that Diane and Francis will be part of the Lazarus Portal soon as Mr. Weed was added? And then maybe new characters like Death, Joyce Kinney and the Evil Monkey be part of Halloween? And is it possible that Halloween will launch on Thursday as Septemberfest launched the same day as Peterpalooza’s end.

I unlocked Mr. Weed last year at Halloween. Now he’s locked again. Anybody else have this problem?

I don’t intend this to be a WTD as it pertains directly to this character and game strategy, but if we spent mucho clams to get him in the Halloween event last year because the amount of currency needed to get him was so outrageous (17,500 spirit vials!! plus some other items to collect) is it even worth sending in a request for a refund or a take-back so I can attempt to craft him? I’m not sure how I feel about this. The message was “if he is not in your game by the end of the event he will be gone forever”. Now he comes back as part of a district and can be gotten through doing tasks and collecting items. When they bring back the “best of” characters, there seems to be consistency (clams for clams) or challenging timed tasks that may take clams to finish just to be sure and get the character by the deadline. This is untimed as part of a district. There seems to be somewhat of a mixed message. “Unlock before it ends or gone forever” and “district untimed” would seem to be polar opposite statements in this game.
As players, what should we do in the future? I wanted the character and was happy to spend the clams and have him in my Quahog three months later. Eleven months later, not so much. He has done little to help in the game play since getting him and at the time those clams were precious since the game was just getting started.

That is the thing with anytime you make a Premium Purchase, you are doing so at your own risk. Items could go on sale later. Items could return. You could have got more stuff for free vs spending. Etc. So many variables. You can ask, but know that you chose to spend the Clams.
I always tell Players to make sure before they spend they are sure that it is worth it to them and that months from then, they will still be happy with the purchase. NO ONE knows the life expectancy of games, if items will return, if Players will request the return.
Look at this on the flip side. There is a Character from the past that you may have missed and really really want, would you not hope that it makes a return so you can pick it up too? There in lies the “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation any game house runs into with Event Characters. Thousands of Players beg for an items return… so how do they do it with making both new and old Players happy and make a compromise?
Thing is they released him EXACTLY the same way he was in the past. As a “work to earn it” item. To be, it was a fair way to return the item. I won Mr Weed in my Freemium game. I worked hard to get him. But I also have his headstone and I LOVED the Event. So I am just fine with it.
For me, I got Consuela when she was in BETA. 600 Clams. After a bit when the game went live, she dropped to 300. Halloween she was on sale for about half that. For me, I know that ANY Premium purchase I make I am doing so at my own choice and own free will. No one is forcing me. I accept the consequences of that purchase and anything that may arise in regards to it in the future.

I guess I feel as though I was misled by the words “get him now or he is gone forever”. That is clearly not the case. And I don’t see it as he is being released EXACTLY the same way. This incarnation there isn’t a deadline as there was with the Halloween event (thus me spending the clams to get him). I did what I did at the time and I always used your three-month rule when making decisions on purchasing something. I was happy at three months. Not so happy at 11 months. I can only guess that Mr Weed has some role in the upcoming Halloween event or why would they bother going through this process. I think you provide the players some amazing information via this site and you do a fantastic job. Please keep up the tremendous work. The game would not be possible to be played without your invaluable assistance.

I was lucky, when I saw him appear in my game two weeks ago. I notified you guys and I got him instantly and I didn’t have to work task in order to get him. I just used clams to get him (b/c there were no zombies m’s going around 😉

I’m sorry if this has been asked elsewhere… does this have anything to do with Death’s disappearance from the Character List in game? I was thinking maybe Lazarus, but when I tap it, nada. Tap it again, immediate game crash. Any ideas?

If you have all your Characters resurrected, it does tend to crash the game if you keep tapping on it as nothing will come from it.
As far as Death, I do not know yet just when or how he will be released. Just like every other Character in that list, including Greased Up Deaf Guy, those are just “placeholder” spots. Not a sign or indication of when or how they will be released. His removal only tells me they are prepping him for a release soon or had to pull him from the game for other reasons.

Ironically…New Brian was the first one it offered me! Paddy was second and Loretta last and it took a loooooong time to get Loretta. I have Mr. Weed from a previous Quest (like Diane and Peter’s Father, both ghosts also). I kinda hope they come up with people we haven’t had in a Questline before. I LOVE the Portal!!! and cannot WAIT for the Halloween Event!!!

iOS 9 really has nothing to do with the Family Guy app itself. That is in operating system for iOS devices, nothing provided by created by nor handled by TinyCo.
As far as the game, all Players in District 11 should have these options in their game for the Lazarus Portal if they do not have Mr Weed already.
As far as iOS’ Operating System functioning with apps that it was struggling with, there are still reports of people having issues with it… so it is more a try at your own risk.

The higher number Zombie spawn drops have to be way more rare than they were. While trying to resurrect the first three a month ago I got the big drops a lot. That’s how I was sitting at over 250 zombie parts when I started trying for my final ghost last week. I burned through them all the way into the 70’s and then slowed my attempts to stay in that range and never got anything more than 2 in an attempt. I did finally resurrect New Brian this afternoon so now I don’t care. 😛

Have they changed the “prizes” from the portal? Prior to Peterpalooza I would routinely get wins of 5, 10, 20 or 30 zombies. Since the end of Peterpalooza I have tried 30+ times and have only gotten 1 or 2 zombies every time and absolutely nothing else. Still need to resurrect the dog.

No. They vary. I still got the higher drops Zombies throughout all 3, they are just not as common as the 1’s and 2’s

He was supposed to be there in a later addition to the District… he just showed up a LOT sooner than they wanted, so they rushed to complete him so those Resurrecting him could get him in the game since he popped in. Easier that way then deleting him from everyone’s games. THAT would cause Chaos. So, just completing his drops sooner than expected. They are still working on the Questline for him. 😉
