Many times with the New Events I see PANIC. Mostly due to everything is new and no one knows just yet how to get the hang of what is going on. Well, just as usual, here to help in anyway I can with some Basic 101 and detailed breakdown of HOW TO on the aspects of the Game Play.
For this post, I will be diving into the Movie Projection Booth, Phase 2
Let’s take a look at the Movie Projection Booth, what at is inside, and how it will help you along in the game.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE MOVIE PROJECTION BOOTH?
You can see the Movie Projection Booth located close by the Entrance to the Event Menu Area.
WHAT IS INSIDE THE MOVIE PROJECTION BOOTH?
The Movie Projection Booth is full of Buildings, Characters, and Building Facades that will help you during the Death at the Drive-In at the Event.

Let’s take a closer look at each of these 8 items.
Skeletal Catacombs (Building): 22
Movie Reels, Earns $60 & 3
SP every 12hrs, Chance 2 
Calculator Watches. Sits on a 5×6 base. I do like the look of it as far as a “Death” or “Halloween” theme.
Warded Bunker (Building): 38 Movie Reels, Earns $40 & 2SP every 6hrs, Chance 2 
Retainers. Sits on a 4×5 base. This one seems to fit in an area out back of the High School for some reason. Lol.
Decorated Ghost Tree (Decoration): 34 Movie Reels, Sits on a 1×1 base. This is something I actually did all over our yard growing up to all our trees, so it makes me giggle to see it in the game. Also, unlocking this from the Booth will also unlock the option for you to get MORE of them from the Decorations Menu. Additional ones will cost 50 
3D Glasses.
Dark Society Library (Building): 50Movie Reels, Earns $80 & 5SP every 20hrs, Sits on a 4×4 base. There is a LOT of lil details in this Library that I really to like. I just find it hard trying to design with the room looking items.
Side Note: The Library comes with requirements for Patty. If you just bypass earning Materials and buy her out with Clams BEFORE getting to it in the Movie Projection Booth, it seems to lock you out of the other items. There was a patch for this, but if you still run into it… check your Inventory Event and/or Buildings Tab for the Library and contact TinyCo if you continue to have any further issues.
Pumpkin Pyramid (Building): 48 Movie Reels. Earns $90 & 6 SP every 24hrs, Sits on a 3×3 base. Great Pumpkin themed item, though… I almost wish I had a bunch of just lil Pumpkins to make my own Pyramid and other shapes.
Plastered Witch (Decoration): 60Movie Reels. Sits on a 2×2 base. This is another one of those items that makes me giggle more due to I decorated this way so many times. Lol. This also opens the option to get more into your game once unlocked. Additional ones will cost 85 3D Glasses.
Slasher Bait Lois (Character Costume): 100 
Movie Reels (Complete creating her off in Al’s for 10secs), She is a fully tasked that is part of one of the many Side Questlines in the game. She also has her “Get Brutally Murdered” task that helps unlock Patty. More on her in a full Character Profile in another post.
Now with ALL 7 of the items in front created for Movie Reels, your NEXT TAP on the Movie Projection Booth will star the 24HR TIME ON THE PROM NIGHT AT BUDDY CIANCI HIGH BUILDING SKIN! It is not a joke, it will be Freakin’ Hard to get all the 300 Movie Reels needed for it.
Prom Night At Buddy Cianci Jr. High (Building Skin): 300 Movie Reels, Earns $45 & 2SP every 8hrs. Sits on a 8×12 base. Due to this is a Skin, you can put it on and take it off of Buddy Cianci at anytime. Though it will change the payout. I do like the decorations on it… but at what it took me to get the 300 Movie Reels into the game, I honestly think this one is a pass. In my regular game, I will just let it time out.
HOW DO I GET THE ITEMS IN THE MOVIE PROJECTION BOOTH?
Movie Reels are currently ONLY available by trading in Food/Concession Items to the Concessions Stands. For Week 2, you will exchange Sodas OR Soda & Popcorn earned from taking out Unholy Nuns, Vampire Bats, Slasher Cat NPC, and Werewolves.
As for the Exchange Rates themselves, those WILL Vary. I am not just talking about as you Level Up. I have seen many reports of during the Levels. This is something I warned on in the Main Post. It seems that it is not just the Scream Level that now impacts the payouts, but WHERE you are in the Event too.
All I can suggest is feel free to keep posting where you are in the Event, your Scream Level, and the payouts YOU see so that others can compare.
I am currently at Scream Level 11, finished with the Main Questline, finished with Projection Booth items… here are my CURRENT options as of creating this post.

Movie Reels - Scream Level 11: 50 Soda for 10 Movie Reels
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I UNLOCK THE ITEMS?
When you have earned enough Movie Reels to get the item that is next in line in the Movie Projection Booth, you will see “GET” under that item. Tap on “GET” and the Pop Up Info Screen will show you the stats for the item, including a Check Mark over the amount and instead of a Clam Purchase Amount you will see “GET”.
Tapping on “GET” will start a cut screen of the Movie Projection Booth and then it will spit out your Prize. At this point you will tap on “AWESOME” to bring it in the game.
How it is brought in will vary. It will either show for immediate placement in the Game Play Area…
go to your Inventory Storage Menu…
Costumes can be found and completed in Al’s…
For Quagmire’s Haunted House as well as Prom Night at Buddy Cianci, it will first go into Inventory Storage, then tapping on it in Inventory Storage will show the Building Facade/Skin was earned and you need to go place it on the Original Building. (Tap on Building, then Green Arrow over Building, then tap on the different Boxes for different Facades/Skins until you have the one you want on the Building. Or Circle with Slash through it to remove it.)
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT HAVE THEM ALL BY PHASE 3?
I am still awaiting confirmation on this, but if it is like Phase 1 to Phase 2 transition, you won’t be able to get anything new until the prior page is completed. So keep that in mind going into Phase 3 later tonight.

I’m too having issues with my projection booth, I had 2 pages until I leveled up to level 8, now I have only 1 page with the last item being the slashing cat which expired. I tried restarting the game and my iPad and I’m still having the same issue…help….

I have one page in my movie projection booth after the slasher cat expired, my second page disappeared. I’ve collected everything and I have tasks to get the catacombs but when I click “go” nothing happens.

im lost and cant find an answer my projection screen says ghost movie and then insane when the counter is over and i hit lvl 11 but in the shack, ghost movie weapon still locked…any help please

I found in my game today that I no longer have an option to get reels through a soda/popcorn combo. Am at level 8 and trying to get Lois. Had mostly been spending soda only for 10 reels but occasionally using popcorn option as it required fewer sodas. The popcorn seems to be pointless now.
All very confusing this phase! At least it seems that we are all in a similar position!

Hi guys. First of all, thanks for all the useful info you post. I’d have made 4 mistakes with the event so far if I hadn’t read your guides.
I’ve got a question. I went to my inventory to check Quagmire’s house and clicked it, and I got the message saying I had unlocked it. But I didn’t click the ‘view’ button and closed the message. Now I can’t find it anywhere in my inventory. Do you know where is the skin now? Or did I lose it? Txs

Check in the Buildings section or Event Tab in Inventory. If it is not there, also see if it is already at his house. Tap on Quagmire’s, then the green arrow on the lil image, then look in the Skin drop down to see if tapping on any of them show it’s there.

Found it. Silly me, I was looking for it in my inventory and trying to change it from edit mode. It’s the first time I get a skin; didn’t really know how to use it. Thanks again 🙂

I’m on SL7 and I noticed something odd. I’ve traded 105P+20S at least once in exchange for 12 film reels, but today when I checked it’s reverted to 45P+20S. I feel like I’ve been cheated out of at least sixty sodas. Known flip-flop on TinyCo’s part?

Like noted in the run down post, they WILL vary. They drop down even more in Phase 3… but so do the Reel Payouts. Expect them to continue to vary depending on YOUR game play and the items you have in your game.

It’s just so unexpected. I’d have thought the conversion options would change depending on Scream Level alone, but my SL hasn’t gone up in about a week and yet the Concession Stand has gone from:
105P+20S for 12FR / 27S for 10FR, to
45P+20S for 12FR / 27S for 10FR, to
27S for 10FR (as of a few minutes ago), to
30S for 10FR / 35P for 5FR (just now).
I traded 35 Popcorns for 5 Film Reels, checked the Concession Stand, and it’s now only offering me 30 Sodas for 10 Film Reels.
Should I expect the conversion options to change depending on the materials I have stored up as well? I don’t like working toward random goals.

I just now hit scream level 8 (1552 scream points), and I’m doing everything I can not to go up in scream level, including placing all non-required scream-producing buildings in inventory. Reels are now 10 for 25 sodas or 12 for 20 sodas & 105 popcorn.
I have a small central road in a 5×5 square, with a solid border of buildings around it, which helps contain the bats. I’m only using silver cannon balls on characters that generate garlic. I have not touched Patty’s car or the movie screen all week.
I haven’t bought a single week-two item from the movie projection booth, and I won’t until I have 352 reels (I’m at 273 reels currently) which will buy everything up through Slasher Bait Lois, after which I’ll finally start Patty and hit the movie screen to start the week three content. I will ignore the Buddy Cianco skin.
In short, I am using every single trick this web site has offered to help us players. Thank you to the admins and all the commentators for their awesome help! 😀

Do you need to get Slasher Bait Lois to advance to Week 3? I play every 3-5 hours and still only have 40 of 60 reels for the plastered witch.
Is it even possible to finish on time without premium buy?

This Event it seems EVERYONE is behind. Just do what you can. She is only needed in the fact she is part of the Main Questline, but I will see once it goes live if anything changes.

Believe I have three reels, currently at the library, and on the part where you need slasher Lois I believe. On the bright side of thing almost got hell house and closer to getting death.

Thank you Bunny for all this information. Without this site, I would have left this game long back. It’s only because of you I get to know what the hell is going on in this game. FAQ and support is not enough and I heavily rely on you to play this game. Couple days back when you were away, I felt like a scooba diver running out of the oxygen and was praying for your come back and give us more information. I understand and respect that you have personal life and that’s why a big thank you. Cheers !

Scream Level 8, Quest pt. 7 – same film reel cost as in your post.
I am 132 reels from getting Slasher Lois, and Patty times out for me in the morning. I’m hoping to find out from this site how useful she is in part 3 before I spend (or opt out of spending) clams for her. 🙂

I cant buy clams, maybe because of my Credit card and the country i live in. I tirggered pattys timer and i have only 12 hours left, and not close to get sb lois. I hope she is not really useful, but i really regret fixing that car too early

I’m on level 10, and was at level 7 at the start of week 2, so have been punished with the high reel requirements from the start, so am still 18 reels short for unlocking the pumpkin pyramid, so I’ve decided to plod through now and if I don’t get all the content, so be it, I won’t be spending more clams to catch up, I’m disappointed Tinyco decided to penalise premium players though. On the plus side I’ve unlocked Joes house, Death, and Patty (75 clams), so not all bad.

It wasn’t meant as a “penalty”. They were trying to help players on the Scream Levels and it backfired. I am hoping Phase 3 shows some better adjustments and smoother ride. 😉

It looks like my plan of attack is working to keep the costs to get Reels low. Like I stated in an earlier thread TinyCo has designed this event to block player progression. The more to try to advance the harder they make to advance. I’m currently at Level 6 and very close to 7 and I’m still at 25 Soda + 45 Popcorn = 12 Reels and 27 Soda = 10 Reels. I’m praying the costs don’t change when I reach 7, because I’m just about to start working on unlocking Bait Lois.
Instead of going against the tide I’ve turned it into an advantage. What I did was slow down my Scream level progression as much as possible by storing event items as I earn them and only keeping out the buildings that drop items. Once they’ve finished that into storage they go. If I do need to level up my Scream level to get to Week 3, that’s when I’ll buy decos.
I’ve also finally figured out a system to gaining reels now that I have Death unlocked. Only focus on de-Werewolfing; Bonnie, Joe, Quagmire and Mort. Be sure to keep track of their times (4 hours), so you can get Balloons instantly from their tasks.
When using the Cheque system time it so that when the characters that drop Silver Balls do, it is empty. Fill the Cheque to get Cannons first and whatever time is left use that to create Crossbows.

Scream Level 8 and it takes 50 sodas for 10 reels or 130 popcorn and 45 Sodas. With all my nun killers tied up being werewolves getting the popcorn is a futile task, so I’m just collecting the 50 at a time.
Trying to collect these silver balls are personally giving me a headache (and a different color set of balls.)
Hope relief is on the way with the new phase. I can’t imagine they could screw this up any more than they have already, right?
(If they start turning houses and buildings into werewolves, I’m just going to cry!)

I’ve stopped actively even trying to get the film reels. At the current rate It’ll be a minor miracle or a huge change in this events design if I ever get more than half way the third phase, as I’m just trying to get Datk Society Library. At least I already know Meg’s friend is out of the race, just like I suspected from the minute I saw her time limit.

It was a real struggle, and cost me a few clams to rush tasks and rush Props, but I finally just finished unlocking Slasher Bait Lois, and have set her on the 4hr task for the last part of the main questline, so even though I won’t be ready for the update to Phase 3 bang on time, I’ll only be 2hrs behind, and usually the update doesn’t hit on time, so everything should fall in to place, but even if it hits on time I doubt 2hrs will make to much of an impact. I also have four and a half days to finish unlocking Patty, and all I need is to do the 3 ‘have Slasher Bait Lois get brutally murdered’ actions, so it I doubt I’ll have to spend any clams. The only thing I’m going to pass on is the 300 Reel building skin, which I’d like to have but just isn’t worth the price, especially as there’s going to be a third page of prizes to work on when Phase 3 hits, and I don’t want to end up getting held up by 300 Reels. Anyway, I’ll be checking this site over the next few hours, keeping an eye out for information on when Phase 3 hits. 🙂

I’m glad I got patty before they changed the bats spawning…I was getting 15-20 bats with each garlic and it still took 5 days to get all the stickers needed….now I am lucky to get 6-10 bats and that’s only if I drop right after tapping vampire…

There’s a good chance I may never get out of phase 2. I’m at the one before slasher Lois, and have 20 film reels. I play this a lot, and because I unwantedly keep gaining level I need 50 sodas for 10 reels. So I’m not getting like 20, maybe 30 a day? And I need 40 more for the bush and 100 for Lois. This is not looking good. It’s weird that they would punish you for being on a higher level by jacking up how much it takes to get reels…

Scream level 7.
120 popcorn and 20 soda = 12 reels
35 soda =10 reels
Im about half way on the library item in the projector house. Stuck at the questline where I need slasher Lois costume. I need 258 reels to finish her costume and buy all the stuff leading to it. I seem to be able to get 20 to maybe 50 reels per day so with luck I will finish this week 2 right before week 4 starts. Thank goodness for your warning about repairing the car. Haven’t started yet. Seemed silly to temp people with it knowing how hard it is to get slasher Louis.

Scream lvl 8. I need 164 movie reels to get everything unlocked except the last building that will be timed. And that’s 300 more movie reels.
With the next week coming in 2 hrs, well, doesn’t matter when it comes, 464 reels will take a week

I wouldn’t waste reels on the school skin. Just skip it. It’s on a timer and it will expire after 24 hours. Then you can simply move on to page 3.

I’m leveling up faster than I can collect film reels for slasher bait Lois. Even after tucking a couple of the event buildings into storage, my last round of water balloon and silver tasks pushed me up to 130 popcorn/45 soda range. At 70 reels, I probably won’t get it until tomorrow night.

No way!!!! I will be so disappointed if we have to get slasher lois to move forward….. she costs 100 reels and I am still struggling to get her. I even bought the building that helps with garlic and the one that helps with silver cannons, but I feel like it’s not helping at all since the cost for reels increased once I moved to level 8. I mean just to get the 100 reels for lois it will take me a week at the current rate…..and I’m playing all the time. Hopefully they will change the reel payout soon.

Bunny, the Pumpkin Pyramid is not a deco, but instead a building.
Payout: 90 coins, 6 Scream.. I do not know the time frame, but it’s almost done with 4hrs and 47mins left. I believe it was a 16hr building, but I could be wrong, might even be a 24hr building.

I think the fact they we already got a late start on this week’s content, and the items in phase 2 cost way more reels, and there are very few ways to get reels, and the reel payouts are awfully low, that they need to stop making things required to progress and either lower the reel requirements or make a couple more ways to get reels cuz needing 352 reels to get everything this week is absolutely nuts!

I reached Scream Level 8 last night and as of this morning, I needed 50 Soda for 10 Reels or 105 Popcorn and 27 Soda for 12. Within the past couple of hours, the requirement for 12 reels changed to 130 Popcorn and 45 Soda (which was a bit frustrating because I switched my Cannonball earners to Water Balloons and there’s not much of a point to popcorn now). I’m about 40 reels away from Slasher Bait Lois. I did finally get Death yesterday, but I’m wishing I never triggered Patty’s car….

Right along with most people stuck at Slasher Lois. Have about 30 reels. Hopefully they delay phase 3, considering phase 2 was delayed as well, and just make it four prizes instead of eight so that people can catch up. At this rate there would be no point to releasing week five content as no one would even see it

Just keep going. Remember they are on a schedule and things that appear in an Event planned out months ago won’t make an impact. They are legally obligated to meet that schedule. Especially since they are contracting Characters OUTSIDE of their Copyright. At TinyCo HQ though, they will still work on making the game flow and the issues resolved. Hang in there.

I did have one more thing to say about the way they are doing these pages. I liked the way they did them during PeterPalooza, where there were a couple things you needed to place if you wanted to complete the questline, but you did not have to buy everything. I liked that, because there are lots of items I am spending a LOT of time to get that are going straight into storage, and if I could outright delete them, I would. If I could have picked what items I did not want and skipped over them, I would have finished Lois in the first couple of days! LOL

I am still in need of the library for Patty. I have 26 reels so by then, after getting that building I’m buying her. But I still have the entire bottom section to get. I’m not too fond of the school skin so I mean if I gotta pass this one I don’t mind tbh.

I still need to finish up the Witch Tree, and then start on Lois. I don’t see me getting to the next phase until early next week, which as others have stated, will be the first time I am not ready to move on when the new content arrives. It is not worth clams to buy the Lois skin just to move forward, and certainly not worth it for the school skin. I hope the characters that are offered in the new phase don’t include Stewie or Brian, because then I won’t feel so frustrated!

I have been stockpiling reels as I am trying NOT to level up quicker. I missed Slasher Cat (not a big deal). I have got the Skeletal Catacombs from the projection booth and have enough to get everything else besides Lois (240 reels). I am on level 7 (1363SP) and my reels are 35 soda’s for 10 reels or 80 popcorn and 27 soda’s for 12 reels.

ahhh,crap! well i will not be able to get today’s phase3 because i haven’t made it to Slasher Bait Lois yet! i’m slowly working on the Plastered Witch and Patty’s timer has 1 day 1hr 25 minuets left so i don’t think ima be able to get her. i’m at Scream Level 8 and part 7 of “Death At The Drive-In-The Sequel” so we shall see what happens.

That is hard to say as in Phase 2 it not only varies on the Levels… but also within the Levels as other factors seem to cause changes.
Get as close as you can without triggering her so you have less to go. Base it on how fast YOU are earning them. I am hoping more Reels help comes soon as everyone is struggling with it. Even Premiums.

How is it that you are at level 11 and ur requirements for the reels are less then mine when I’m only at level 8? That is just soooo mess up. I mean for u to be at level 11 u probably have everything and got all ur tasks and quest done for this week. I only just got the pumpkin pyramids and half of my task done.I think it’s just an error on tinyco part and it’s not cuz of where we are in the game that these popcorn and sodas changes.

Like I noted in the main rundown post and several times since… it varies. It goes up, down, up, down… all over the place in every Level. This is only my payout at this very moment. It is also why I ask others to post their results. They are all over the place in different Questline spots, progress, Levels, etc.

How many Clams is it to buy Slasher Bait Lois outright? I have been TRYING to push on this and am still 13 reels shy of even plastered witch (that I dont want to spend 300+ clams on) with like 3 sodas currently. I figure buying Lois is the only way to catch up at this point since she’s required for the main questline before Phase 3 today. 😦

My game said 560. I would wait just a bit and see WHAT Phase 3 brings. It may not be too bad to be behind.

And there are still over 21 days left in the event!! I know, I knowwwww it doesn’t seem that way but TinyCo had us hustling like this thang was our job and it just feels like there are just a few days left!!!! 🙂

Scream Level 9, only on part 7 of main quest line (still need 100 reels for slasher Lois) and have the same refreshment requirements as you posted for level 11. If things stay the same this will be the first time in game history that I will not be able to advance to next phase when released today. Not a criticism, just where I’m at in the game. Cheers!! 🙂

My scream reel payouts are the same as yours right now I think
50 soda for 10 reels and 45 soda +130 popcorn for 12 reels. I have had that payout for a while now. I am on scream level 9 and it hasn’t changed since scream level 7. But it jumped all over the place prior. It would be different every time I loaded the game, sometimes higher or lower. Really frustrating when trying to figure out how long things will take.

Mine has been the same since Level 8. Still on same now, but I have seen many others reporting the fluctuation too. I also had the Questline and everything by the time I started Leveling up more. Those seem to impact changes too.

Just for added I for I’m at Scream Level 12 and my payouts haven’t changed since Level 8, which is the same as you Bunny, 50 Sodas for 10 Reels, and 130 Popcorn and 45 Soda for 12 Reels, these amounts haven’t changed once since i hit Level 8. Each time I’ve levelled up I’ve been anxious about looking at the payout rates.

It seems the lower ones vary more or those not done with many aspects. Otherwise… it starts to “lock in” at a specific payout.

I don’t know if this happened for anyone else but my reel trade in levels just changed again. I reached level 10 at some point today, don’t know when, wasn’t paying attention. I haven’t moved into phase 3 either. I now only need 35 sodas or 27 sodas and 80 popcorn. Maybe it’s an attempt to help us out.
In attempts to improve my chances by getting buildings and spending clams I just kept increasing my scream level and raising my reel requirements. I only stayed passing a little while ago so it really sucked buying Michael Meyers only to find out I needed tom tucker to use him to get silver balls like it advertised. I also hadn’t discovered this site. I have just opened the fun land and am working on stewie. Kind of a colossal headache, feel like I am trying to play shorthanded.

I’ve been playing pretty intensely but I am so far behind it is insane. I just unlocked Death a couple minutes ago and I have only unlocked the first 3 prizes on page 2. Since I need Slasher Lois just to be able to continue the main quest I likely won’t even be able to begin week 3 until something like next Wednesday which does not bode well for my progress this event.
Basically TinyCo needs to buff the returns on items if I’m to have any hope of completing this event. I just have to hope they don’t release more characters I really want that I won’t have access to, but that hope is low given the character grouping with Death’s mom and Dog Death.

I have got enough movie reels to get the witches tree and The Lois slasher costume but I’m to scared to get the costume in case it starts the timer on the building skin. Is there a way I can get the costume without the timer starting for the building skin. Plus do I need slasher Lois costume to be able to update later on tonight? From what I have read above you make it sound like as long as I don’t go back into the move prop booth the timer won’t start? Is this correct? Or will it start as soon as the costume is made?

It is AFTER you pull her out of the Booth… any tap on the booth whether by a task, going there yourself, or a questline takes you would trigger it. And like I stated in this post… is a Skin REALLY worth it to you? For all that work?

Thanks for the advice bunny. Do u think there might be a chance that when the game updates the new building skin might start 2 drop an item needed for the next part? Like u said collecting 300 reels 4 a skin is a lot 👻

Ok. So I just unlocked the Pumpkin pyramid I still need SB Lois to finish the main questline, I need 160 reels to unlock her. How am I going to get enough to get her if we have not many options to get soda? Is Tinyco going to fix it or am I going to have to spend clams to get her?

Gotta say I’m finding it increasingly hard to earn film reels to keep up with the event. Having had to stock pile for slasher cat that set me back on time and as reels cost more its just pushed me back further!

Quick question – is anyone else finding it ridiculously difficult to get the number of popcorn needed for the film reels? I’ve just gone up to leevel 7 – and I now need 105 tubs of popcorn for 12 reels (+ soda)!! Has anybody got any tips for planning to get more? (Without spending clams)

I’ve just been collecting soda. 50 sodas 4 10 reels instead of collecting 45 sodas and 150 popcorn 4 12 reels.

For once I’m actually hoping for a delay in the new phase. I still need 88 Reels to get Lois’ skin then I have the finish the main quest line. This will be the first time ever that I’m not ready to upgrade when a new phase is due to hit.
