- First up, you will have to be on Part 9 of Death at the Drive-in the Sequel
- You will need to be at Scream Level 8
or Higher - Play the New Event Phase to access ALL Content. With every new Event Phase there are “unlock points” for many items, so play through the Main Questline in order to see it all. I will Update Unlock points if any as I find them.
WARNING: There is another 24hr Timed Item in the Movie Projection Booth. This time it will be another Building Skin, The Petergeist Household. Same kind of trigger point that the items BEFORE it once created will make it so the timer will start on the next tap in Booth.
Also, DO NOT REPAIR STOLEN BLUE CAR!! Not just yet anyway. It triggers Esther’s 7 Day Timer. So be prepared before jumping in.

There is a NEW Item in the Concessions Stand, Chocolate Bars. It will be the New Exchange Currency for Movie Reels.

Right now this is the ONLY option I see in the Concession Stand for Exchange. My current Level is 12 and I am starting into Phase 3.

There is a new Horror coming out of the Movie Screens now, the Headless Horsemen. They will start to appear in your game during the Main Questline AFTER Death At The Drive In III Part 1.

Pumpkin Launcher: Requires 1 Pumpkin & 1hr 30mins to Create in the Movie Prop Shack

Is there anyway we can get movie reels faster? TinyCo did a great job the first week, but the conversion rate for the second week appears to be broken as it is taking forever to get any of the items from the movie booth. It’ll probably be another week until I get Slasher Bait Lois. I’ve tweeted them with no response. Any advice?

I don’t know what in the world is going on since phase 3 hit but on my iPad it keeps crashing and I if I’ve turn characters back from being werewolves when I go back in their wolves again but I don’t get my cannonballs back I used. It got so bad I started playing on my husbands kindle and same issues on that. Prior to this I took Bunny’s advise and put a ton of stuff in inventory(my town looks so bare). I have reported this to TinyCo.

Outside the basics… contacting then is best I can suggest.
Make sure your connection is solid. Make sure all other apps are shut down before launching this app. Make sure there’s lots of open room on internal memory

My iPad is older but game didn’t give me an issue till phase 3. My husbands kindle is like brand new, he never uses it. I didn’t have any issues until phase 3. I did report it so hopefully they will get things straight and phase 4 doesn’t do this. Thanks Bunny

This morning I was able to craft enough reels to get the Pumpkin Pyramid and the timer for the school skin started as soon as I went into the projection booth to pay. I haven’t even completed last week’s quest line since I am still one item away from Lois yet I have a third page of craftable items. Bad enough the Lois skin was included in the quest line (they pulled the task for Death who was in the game for two weeks yet left in the very difficult Lois skin). But now I have absolutely no chance of getting the skin since I am one item and then 100 reels from Lois. This is not intended for WTD, but TinyCo sets the rules (don’t go into the projection booth until you are ready for the timer to start which triggers once you get the Lois skin) and now those rules don’t apply any more. If you are going to have third week content in my game, then give it all to me. That page of projection booth content should not have triggered until I reached Part 9 of the quest line. I was good with that and completely understanding, but now that isn’t the case any more.

Try this. Go to the Menu Icon in your game (looks like a blue cracker) and tap on it, Go to the “Inventory” option, then to either the Event tab or Buildings tab. Try to tap on it that route only and see what happens and let me know

My buddy skin has also started timing down early but I haven’t reported it. To me not having to waste film reels on it would be acceptable, so I am happy if it does expire and I getvto move forward to page three quicker. Progress is slow at the moment due to the werewolves I’m not sure I will even have Lois before the weekend is out.

Do you publish a list of all characters who do jobs for Death at the Drive In outside the usual Family Guy characters? I have a lot in storage (musicians, star trek, comic con) and was wondering if any of them collect 3D glasses or anything.

That was only a Decoration, this is an actual Building that allows you to get Death’s Dog as an interactive Character in the game. 😉

Only had ghosts spawn once since phase 3 hit. Plenty of vamps, nuns and spawn rate hasn’t been to bad for headless horseman. Has anyone else had ghost spawn more?

There are now 4 items sharing that Movie Screen. Unholy Nuns, Vampires, Ghosts, and Headless Horsemen… gotta just wait as they cycle through. I had none for a bit… then 3 releases of them in a row.

The companies that make these games have to go through a LOT of legal hoops to get content they do not have any legal copyright to. That translates to a LOT of money spent to get the ability to put them in the game. Which translates into that item will most likely be negotiated to only be released as a Paid Item. Sorry, but that is the reality of the world. If you don’t own something legally, you have to pay to get rights to it and that amount transfers to your customers.

Yes. My timer started to count down for Buddy Cianci High. Yes. I reported it. This is why they should never put a 24 hour timer on something like that. Tinyco never learns do they? Anyways even before you posted it Bunny I went to collect from Michael Myers and saw that he wasn’t in his normal spot for the Silver cannonball and I started to panic a little thinking that Michael Myers went missing somehow in the new update so I went looking (never thought I would be looking for a killer) for him and found him at the day spa getting a facial on his mask. I told him that he should use cucumbers on the eyes to keep from getting wrinkles under his mask. I told him to take a stab at it and he did and he almost lost an eye too. 😉

My Buddy Clanci timer started as well, but it’s not a big deal for me. I’m still working on getting on Slasher Bait Lois and if I were to save up 300 reels for the school skin then I would be put so much further behind. Although it would be cool to have, I’m way more interested in advancing and getting Death’s dog than getting a building skin.

How does the double shoot work? Do you have to get off two shots in rapid succession or can you shoot one, then wait 1.5 hours for a second launcher and hit it again?

It is not a double shot. It is two separate Launchers. So two separate shots 🙂

I suggest you don’t shoot at all unless you have two launchers. I wouldn’t want to constantly track which ones I’ve hit and which I haven’t. So get two launchers first, then just attack the same one twice.

Why are people concerned about the timer starting on the school? Are they really going to A) collect 400 reels (Lois + school) and put themselves even farther behind in phase 3 or B) think they have a shot at collecting 300 reels in 24 hours?

I had every playable character until this event. I already missed Slasher Cat and I only have 15 hrs left on Patty and since I’m only at 27/36 reels needed for the ghost tree I’m guessing I wont get her either.
Not going to lie I’m kinda bummed.
Hopefully they will let you get the characters you missed later on like they did last year. That would be awesome. : )

Has anyone even gotten a response from tinyco in game reporting? I mean in general since the event started. I’ve sent messages starting Monday and I have yet to hear anything back. The problems are setting me behind and I’m wondering if it’s just me that isn’t hearing back from them.

It is standard to give them up to 5 days to respond, especially in high traffic situations like this event. Then if nothing in 5 days (including the automated message response) then send them another. And reply to the automated if you see it.

Yes, it took 3 messages over a week, but I ended up getting 18 garlic added to my game. I only reply to a message when I get a response from them, normally automated to start.

Just thought I’d share what I’ve found with trading materials for Film Reels, I traded in the 10 Chocolate for 5 reels, then it dropped to 8 for 5, then 25 Soda for 10, 39 Popcorn for 10′ then 12 choc for 5, 25 Soda and 30Popcorn for 15, 30 Soda for 10, and so in. So it appears each time you trade in some materials it give you other options, but once you’ve traded in once it’ll disappear until you’ve traded in again for just the Chocolate, so it looks like they’ve made things more interesting.

Oh and I now have an option of 10 Chocolate and 25 Sodas for 12 Reels, or 8 Chocolate for 5 Reels, I’m at Scream Level 12 and have just started phase 3. I have 2 Reels when Phase 3 hit, and after about 1hr 30mins I’ve now got 52 Reels.

Since phase 3 hit my game has crashed several times. I had used clams to buy 3 pumpkin lathes when it decided to do this and when I went back in my lathes were GONE! I immediately messaged TinyCo. On another note they got back to me about the phase 2 debacle(vamps only spawning once for me)and I was advised I couldn’t get week 2 prize that wasn’t earned, this put me off because clearly it was their glitch that prevented me from having a chance so this means I have NO chance at getting the grand prize at the end. If this keeps up I’m going to just stop trying all together.

A couple things I noticed: We now need fewer items to trade for movie reels (thank you, TinyCo!). My Projection Booth just spontaneously started counting down for the School building skin even though I don’t have Slasher Bait Lois yet. Luckily for me, I have the Borg skin and don’t want the new one — but other players should be warned!

James Wood high has the borg skin. The prom night skin is for the other school, Buddy Cinaci Jr. High. As far as I know this is the only skin for it. It’s not worth spending 300 film realms though.

I know it is early, but I hope we have an opportunity to still use the popcorn and soda. I intentionally held on to enough that would get me 32 reels, but didn’t trade in until I knew what the next phase would bring. Fingers crossed! I sent a message to Tiny Co as well. I have a feeling they will be used in the final week, but in the meantime, it’s all about pumpkins and chocolate. Mmmmmm, I ❤️ chocolate.

Any way u could tell me if I buy the melted choco before I have that part open in the concession stand, will the pumpkins accumulate until I get to that part? (I haven’t gotten Louis’ skin yet so I don’t have the next movie playing yet). Thanks for your help, as always 🙂

If an item does not exist in your game, there is no way to collect for it. So, you will have to see if it is in your prop shack first along with the Pumpkin Launcher
FYI. Do you really mean Pumpkins or Chocolate? And same kind of answer

We can accumulate chocolates, but not pumpkins until we have a need. I was of the same frame of mind. I got chuckie and he doesn’t have the pumpkin option yet. So I didn’t buy the pumpkin building. I did buy the chocolate making one and it is dropping and stiring them. Can’t use them yet, but they are in my inventory on the concession stand.

Do I have to get all the items in the movie projection booth (page 1 and 2) before I’m able to get anything from page 3?
And is it worth it to spend extra time getting Slasher bait Lois?

Yes you do. And she is used a lot for not only the main task line, but item drops too.

Do you mean I have to wait until the timer on the buildjng skin runs out as well as earning slasher lois?
Cause I’m already a minimum of 2 days, probably 3 days, late starting week three.
I gotta add another day where I can basically do nothing to get ready for the next phase?

When I add in the 3-4 days I’m probablu gonna be late on week 3, I’ll never even see week 5 at this rate.

No, you don’t need the school skin. Just let it expire (after 24 hours) and you’ll get access to page 3. Don’t waste your extra reels on it. The reels will be much more useful to get the new items on page 3.

I don’t want the skin, I want to start week 3. Slasher Lois is talking so long because of the dang werewolves, so that timer adds an extra day onto the time Slasher Lois is making me late.

Thanks for all the great info. Looks like if you go to the next movie but havent gotten to part 9. The requirements to get reels is better, it dropped from 130 popcorn and 45 soda to 80 popcorn and 27 soda for 12 reels and 35 soda for 10 reels instead of 50. The only catch is the timer for the Jr. High skin will start its countdown.

Side note. I tapped on the Projection Booth to check out page 3. I have yet to unlock Slasher Bait Lois, but it looks like Page 3’s arrival automatically starts the 24 hour countdown for the school skin. So in case anyone was wanting that skin but haven’t gotten Lois yet, just a heads up!

I’m confused, I thought you had to have Lois and finish the main questline before you could access week 3?

I haven’t placed the witch on the tree yet and therefore haven’t activated Slasher Bait Lois which or the Prom building. I have a 24 hour timer that just started on the building out of nowhere. I’m reporting it, but just seeing if you know it’s an issue or not.

I’ve got a problem, I’m on part 7 I clicked the movie screen to see how long until vampire spawn, the movies screen turned black and now I when I click on the concession stand or the projection booth the game crashes, thoughts? :-S

I don’t know if it is the same for everyone or just me because I am still working on getting Lois, but the amount of cups to get reels has been lowered to 35 cups for 10 reels or 80 popcorn and 27 cups for 12 reels! Not quite half but still much appreciated.

Wow. I play constantly and still on part 7 of the main quest line. Not even on Lois costume in the booth yet to even work on it.

Double wow. I don’t even have slasher bait Lois yet and my counter is already counting down for the last building of phase two. Prom night at Buddy Cianci high.
Talk about being jipped. Isn’t that building needed to get items for Patty as well?
How is that supposed to work?
(I have not repaired her area yet because an awesome friend gave me a heads up and warned me to wait. But it seems pointless now anyway. )

Yes I’m in the same boat. However I’m going by the fact that this phase has only been 6 days as it was a day late so after tomorrow if I’m still not past getting lois then I will start to worry

I’m still in Phase 2, almost to level 7, Part 6 of main questline (have to let Peter hum between cannonball collections). Haven’t started Patty. Have no intention of getting the junior high skin. Slowed down leveling up by storing scream point droppers but that means I’m not getting many more 3D glasses (the movie theater drops way too many scream points). Need 11 more reels for the pumpkin pyramid, the popcorn shortage slows things down (45 popcorns, 27 sodas to get 12 reels right now, but I’m 23 scream points away from level 7). The Cat is at level 5, one more to go before she can become useful for cannonballs. Death needs 4 more scythes (only Lois and Cat are working on that) and Peter’s triple murder. So you’re not really behind ….

Francine, you arnt behind. Tinyco just didn’t plan the event properly. They released week 2 a day early and didn’t calculate how long it would take freemium based players to get lois skin. If you want someone to compare with, I’m 10 reels short on getting the witch tree (the prop before the lois skin). So basically I’m 3-4 days out from unlocking week 3 if I wait til I have lois to unlock it. It seems most players (freemium) are currently unlocking the pumpkin pyramid, the tree, or lois. At least that’s what I picked up on in the forum posts

Side Note… it was NOT a day early. It was a about 12hrs late (normally drops 6-9PM Pacific, dropped 9am next morning)
