Wayyyyyyy behind here.still haven’t unloced slasher bait lois or death. The whole everyone I need being a wolf and not being able to produce silver really have me lagging. I haven’t mastered the maze to trap bats so I am only clearing a few swarms at a time. I have no idea what phase I am on all I know all I see are nuns, werewolves, and vampires. I may call it quits after unlocking death. I became stuck last event too and I only use a few hundred clams on events so….I will be satisfied with wherever I am come the end of the event I guess.

Having a bit more time to play today (and refresh my memory as to where I am), I can state now I’ve obtained Cerberus (or Garmr, Gwyllgi, Cadejo, Barghest…”Death’s Dog” is something sad as a name) and am working towards the pet costume shop (irritating as it’s required for the pup and technically Meg’s 2nd friend and yet costs almost as much as a skin or character), so I’m trucking along through phase 3 at least.
It’s REALLY irritating though that I’ve got exactly ZERO bats to bomb in my town currently as they only seem to get 2-4 out per day (not counting the overnight ones, just the ones that spawn while I’m actively playing), so my soda levels are quite low. Factor in the fact that I’ve got a boatload of popcorn that I can’t use at the snack stand due to the randomness of the “accepted” treats for movie reels and it just exacerbates the situation.

I only unlocked Death and Slasher Bait Lois today. Day after day of playing consistently, but no scythes dropping. That and the constant crashing are pushing the game toward more frustrating than fun.

I JUST reached Scare Level 12 and it very briefly gave me alternate options to trade things in other than 15 chocos for 5 reels. If not for that, I needed ~60 reels by tomorrow. With those options popping up, I was able to boost myself to 126 Reels. 120 traded for the Black Clam and for the FIRST time this Event, I feel ready to move on. I might even manage a few extra reels in the next 20 hours getting ready for Week 4. PHEW!!!!
That 500 reels for the Petergeist Household… insanity.

I’m on Level 3 / Scream Level 12…trying to unlock the pet shop, I feel like i’m kind of keeping up and not too too far behind, but the reels are coming pretty slowly. Blowing up the bats is kind of useless now because half the time i don’t get any return at all. I still have to unlock Death’s Dog completely, and Esther. I don’t really care too much about the mini-timed quests to get the maniac surgeon or stuff like that. My main quest now is to get the dog.

i’ve bounced back from Phase 2 being a challenge and should be close to Scream Level 11 when Phase 4 is live tomorrow. Even though Phase 2 slowed me down to unlock Bait Lois along with me not keeping building out that dropped Cleavers in the long run it was a plus because that delay allowed me to stock up on Reels for Phase 3 and when I unlocked Phase 3 I was able to buy 2 items out of the Booth immediately. I’m currently at the Twins and they should be free late tonight. All I need to unlock Esther, who is 1 more drop from the TV and still have 5 days on the timer. Death’s Dog is going to take a bit more time since I still don’t have the Black Clam to get Rubber Steaks.

I had been making great progress, but now that I’ve hit the 15-chocolates-for-5-reels-only roadblock, I’ve ground to a halt.

I’m at a bit of a stalemate. No horsemen, capacity full of pumpkin bombs. No vampires or ghosts to clear, all but one or two roaming bat flocks. I’m sitting on 30 of 100 reels to unlock the Shining twins. Luckily, I bought Pinhead, so I’m only one dog costume store drop away from unlocking Death’s dog, so at least I’ll be able to start the next phase on time.

I saved to unlock slasher cat so i was behind but when they made it so even people who were behind could only get reels by trading in sodas thats when this event was ruined for me. Im only just starting to be able to clear enough werewolves now after all this time.

I just started the third phase today, so yeah I am way behind, and not for lack of playing and trying. And the free mystery box gave me water balloons for every time I opened it, great!!!, only the choice of using popcorn to get movie reels comes up very rarely so was not a good prize. Just too slow going. Nice that they added more ways to get cannon balls and stuff, but they also need to up the number of movie reels given out and keep the choices the same always, not randomly letting you use popcorn. Not bother with the last prize of phase 2 so I can work on phase three, it would take me too long to get the 300 I need to get it.

I just finally got to phase 3. I think I saw in another thread (maybe WTD) that phase 3 seems to be going better, but I’m curious how or if I’m doing something wrong. It takes 2 pumpkins to kill a horseman. It takes 8 hours to get a pumpkin and and 1 hour 45 to make a pumpkin bomb. So I get all excited and make 2 bombs and fire away and chocolate drops. Great. I’m psyched.
If I have learned anything from the events it;s that as they progress they pay out higher although take longer. So I go the concession stand. I need 12 candy bars for just 5 reels. I feel like I just used my secret decoder ring to see an ad about lousy Ovaltine.
Am I doing something wrong? Without mathing my way through anything it almost appears that werewolves are still the best way to get reels.

As more conversions pop up for soda, popcorn, and chocolates… the reels came along faster. So don’t forget about other resources and use them too 🙂

Yes the chocolates are tough.
What i do is during the day when I’m awake i make the silver cannons as much as i can and sprinkle in some holy water ones. I brought the chocolate building so that helps with them and i let my queue run down when its close to bed time and put 4 pumpkin launchers and 2 unholy cannons. That gives me 8 hours before i have to train more (aside from a good nights sleep).

Hi bunny don’t know if this is the right place to ask this question but I hope you will answer it for me . I’m still on phase 2 and the concession stand only wants sodas to convert to reels . I have almost 1000 popcorn and nothing to use it on. At this point I’m never going to get to phase 3 anytime soon because the sodas just don’t drop that much. I don’t know if I should click the screen to get to phase 3 if the drop rate might be better. Any advice would help me out a lot. TY

Honestly… if you got Lois and are fully in Phase 3 for chocolate… it went TONS faster as more options come and go. Then slows after you get it all again towards end of Phase items. But so much smoother than Phase 2

I knew there had to be another premium character on the way, well I’m guessing Ghostface will be premium when he gets a proper release, and I’ll definitely buy him, but there are a few horror movie characters I’d like to see in the game. As for the event, I’m enjoying it, and I’m finally fully caught up with everything and I’m more than ready for Phase 4. I’m happy with the Projection Booth, but feel that the final (optional) prizes cost too much, but I’d only be bothered about it if it was a character or outfit, building skins I don’t mind passing on. With the concession stand, I thought it was so much better this week, and liked the variables while I was working on the main prizes, but as I’ve already mentioned, as soon as I got the last prize I’ve only been left with the option to trade 15 Chocolate for 5 Reels, and I now have 530 Popcorn, 500 Soda, and 274 Chocolate, and I’ve traded in that option enough times to get 108 Movie Reels, with no other options opening up, but I’m not bothered about it, as long as I get more options with Phase 4, which I’m sure I will, I’ll be happy. Phase 2 was slightly frustrating, but this phase has been soooo much better, and I’m really enjoying the event again, and this site definitely is a big help! 🙂

Think I’m doing ok. Unfortunately didn’t win any reels in Ollies box, if I had I think I would be bang up to date as I’m completely ignoring the high reel skins. Just couple items and Death and Esther will be unlocked and 80 reels and I will have the black clam. Would like see Pinhead dropping an item for next phase but apart from that I’ve found this one the most enjoyable events to date.

I am 10 movie reels away from unlocking Slasher Bait Lois. Then I can start the timer on Patty and start Phase 3. I’m an entire week behind. Sigh…I just keep going along. I was hoping that the Ollie’s box was going to help me, but it just gave me Holy Water Balloons which are useless, because I can’t exchange popcorn most of the time. It comes and goes. I have 150 popcorn sitting there right now.
I guess it’s good to know that I’m not the only one. I hope they can remedy it.

Do we have to let the 24 hour timer count down to zero on the Griffin house skin before being able to access the new phase tomorrow? At a cost of about $70 USD I am really wondering who that skin is aimed at and how many people actually will buy it.

I had to guesstimate on how many reels per day. At the start of phase 3 it seemed like they were easier to earn and there was always a few options, but over the last day or so my only option is 15 chocolate for 5 reels. At 3 hours to earn just 12 chocolates it’s going to take a while to get the 100+ reels I need for the black clam.

Thanks for the poll! I struggled with answers to two of the poll questions.
For reel earning, I had a hard time averaging how much I earn daily. It takes me a while to earn sodas, but once I do, it “unlocks” other exchange options. So, it’s not unusual this week to get reels in spurts of 20-25. I finally settled on the 41-45 daily rate (especially since I burned through all the popcorn I got from the Ollie boxes).
If asked last week how I feel about exchange rates, I wouldn’t have hesitated to pick the “wishing for set numbers”. This week has been much better, barring my trouble keeping sodas in stock, so I went with “like the variety”. Assuming the new items drop similarly to the chocolate bars, I’d be perfectly happy to keep this system where it seems new exchanges are “unlocked” with each exchange selected. My answer might even bump up to “love it”.

I MIGHT get Slasher Lois unlocked before phase 4 starts. Lol. I’m so behind. I can’t even earn go collate bars yet, and I’m really hoping I can catch up on some items. I need to earn more movie reels!

I’m only on Death at the Drive-In III Pt. 4. I’d have to say I’m behind more because of drop quantities and reels cost as opposed to the spawn rate, although for about a day hardly any werewolves were spawning (which seems to be better now). Ghosts are too few and avg. about 1 chocolate bar per 4 doesn’t help much. I still need 29 reels to place Death’s Dog’s House. That means I still need to get 339 reels to get and place the other items including The Black Clam ship in phase 3.

I was given the option to buy ghostface and lois’ brother Patrick for clams so I did. Ghostface has a task thing but you can’t see anything or select anything. Same goes for Patrick but he shows up on screen as one of those orange fire guys. Any idea on what’s going on with these 2? Thank You

I am very close to unlocking Esther and Death’s Dog and will be in the next few hours so I marked them as being unlocked. From being behind two days I was able to catch up fast and will be able to be ready for Phase 4 when it hits and it did help that I got 50 reels from the Ollie box also.

Bunny, if this is mentioned somewhere in another comments section, I apologize but site and page searches haven’t shown up anything.
There is a new button under the “Main Menu” tab called “ReplayKit”. I looked at the in-game FAQ and couldn’t find anything about it. if you click on it, it adds a checkmark in a box, but I am hesitant to go beyond making it permanent. Is this so we can take video of stuff in our games right from the game and send it in so TinyCo can research the problems? Just curious. If it is a game function that will help my play, I want to be using it. Thanks as always!

I’m sorry, but I read through the entire post and saw it mentioned under the App Market updates. It didn’t say what it did. Has TinyCo posted information on any of its platforms as to what it does? I have no idea what it does and don’t want to do something to mess up my game if it isn’t fully functional. But if it is something that will enhance my game play, I would like to try it out. I am guessing from your response they haven’t shared information as to its purpose with you as of yet. I will avoid it until the great Bunny posts how it will help me get better at this game. 🙂 She never steers us wrong!

I was frozen out of the first ten days due to the play area glitch so was always going to struggle , caught up a little I think I am about a week behind everyone else so I’m just going at my own pace now as catching up is unlikely, I very much doubt I will see anything of the last week

Don’t feel too discouraged. I have been playing every 4 hours or so since the beginning of the event and very much doubt I will see anything of the last week either. I still haven’t unlocked Slasher Bait Lois, so technically not done with week 2 stuff yet and it is almost week 4.
