Hey there I Scream -ers!!
Yesterday I wanted to do a Poll to get a better feel for where everyone was at in the game before Phase 4 hits our games later this Evening (AFTER 3PM Pacific, usually between 6-9PM). This will help us all get an idea of where we may be in our own Game Play compared to others as well as some thoughts on the Event aspects.

There you have it. Some thoughts on the Event thus far from your fellow Readers/Players. Hopefully this will help many of you see that you are all around the same Levels, with same items, slowly progressing through the Event. Don’t panic if you do not start Phase 4 the moment it is launched. I know Phase 3 went a lot quicker. So for those of you just starting into it… keep going. For those of you almost there, just do what you can. We will know later this evening what Phase 4 will have in store for us.
You are welcome to add additional feedback about the Poll below, HOWEVER… keep it to constructive criticisms or HELP for other Players. Any comments resembling a What The Deuce rant, vent, etc. will be moderated. They are not needed on helpful posts. 🙂

Wow, I feel a lot better seeing less than 1% have the PeterGeist house so far. I am chugging away to earn 720 (good grief!) reels before I place the ShineBright twins, so I don’t miss out. I’m almost halfway there! Should have enough by Christmas, hehe

I think the trick with reels is to stock up on ingredients first, that seems to lower the requirements and stabilize it. From what I’ve seen, it fluctuates to demand more of whatever you don’t have on hand. So, I try to always keep a lot before I start turning in.
Once I stopped converting immediately and started hoarding it got better. Still terrible, but not as frustrating.

I’m actually surprised that most people have bought the premium characters like Mike Myers, Pinhead and Chucky. They are pretty expensive. I bought two of them, but I figured the numbers would be lower. Can you tell us how many people total filled out the survey? That would be interesting to know. Also I was kind of bummed to see that most people got slasher cat. I was very careful not to go back to the projection booth after getting pumpkin tower, but it still started my timer early somehow.

Death’s dog items aren’t dropping. I have the pet costume shop and it is uncommon. But just got the last rare pork chop and they dropped every time. I haven’t had 1 bottle from the shop drop at all. No uncommons but all rare? It’s these weird problems that keep me from being further along. The rare was literally an always this time. So I’m about 500 away from level 11. But no dog yet nor Meg’s second friend. I haven’t even fixed her car yet and I’m almost able to unlock the twins. I’d love to have the Petergeist house but I’m afraid the timer will start and I’ll miss it like the prom school skin.

I didn’t even notice the poll until now, oops. What’s weird is I haven’t seen a ghost nearly all day. Oh well, I don’t need them anyway. I’m on scream lvl 13 & have opened all characters & projection booth items except the last skin & Pinhead (man, Hellraiser creeped me out when I was younger, lol). I gave up on the skin & am saving these reels for the next phase. I was wondering if this is the last phase or if the event will get extended. That may be wishful thinking & it’ll be neither. 🙂

Now that I’m definitely in phase 3- the excruciating slow spawning of vampires and werewolves is a wee bit concerning. Might be premature worry, but it brings soda acquisition pretty much to a standstill and I still need 13 stickers for Patty as well as about 240 reels to get through the projection booth (although chocolate drops will help with that, once they start in earnest, I still need those darned unicorn stickers from the bats….) But it seemed as though the two vampires who finally arrived came while a headless horseman was still slowly spawning (under the screen, it said it would take 4 hours to spawn 1 headless). Is it possible that they are spawning the vampires (and maybe nuns?) during spawn of headless, just not showing it? I’ve been checking for spawn ETA’s fairly often and don’t recall seeing anything about vampires in the past few hours (and certainly not just about two of them coming, usually I get at least three at once) and suddenly here they are while headless is still not ready to step out of the screen.
Still loads of nunsies, though.

Definitely the vampires are spawning while a headless is the only one indicated as spawning under the screen. Just got two more wandering around, but another headless has two hours more to go before he comes out of the screen. Whew. Patty might not suffocate after all, although she risks being trampled by all those horses once she’s released from the trunk.
Got two more werewolves finally, which is encouraging.

It seems like the events have been getting progressively more difficult and, for me at least, far less enjoyable. Like the last event where I never came close to getting enough funds for the tricia takanawa skin, it feels like even more I’m being set up to fail.
I’m still 4 sickles away from death, and I play multiple times a day. Lois skin is next from the movie booth.
In particular the multiple kinds of resources are confusing and frustrating. Having a character like quagmire where you have to choose what drop you want to work, then having 80 useless characters is poor game design, imo.

Update for mine: when I took the poll I was working on unlocking Death and Slasher Bait Lois at scream level 8. Now I’m scream level 10, Lois and Death are unlocked, and I’ve created the items up until Death’s dog’s house. Werewolves and vampires have been spawning about 50% less than they did on level two, which was probably about 10 werewolves and 12 vampires. I’ve had over 20 ghosts and 6-8 horsemen today.

Quick update with me; I have finished Phase 3 (just waiting for phase 4 to start), now have Death’s Dog and Patty, hopefully will unlock Esther in about 2.5 hours, and I’m 2/3 of the way of getting the Black Clam. I’m not even going to try to get the Petergeist house since characters are my top priority. Just hope TinyCo. doesn’t throw one in at a prize for collecting every item from the projection booth including the limited time ones.

My only real complaint is that the payout of movie reels from concessions could be a little bit higher. And on a side note has anyone had the screen lock onto a character after removing werewolf from them?

Speaking of reel payouts- the popcorn-soda combo exchange offer window in mine is titled “15 reels” but the actual exchange info is for 12 reels (and that is indeed the payout). It’s been that way for a while. I’ve read here about 15 reel payouts or more. Am I deprived, or is this normal? I’m in level 9 now but definitely saw this in level 8 also. I’m very early in phase 3, still haven’t collected pumpkins yet although headless horsemen are roaming.

I developed a 24-hour schedule that nets me either 11 cannons/10 pumpkin launchers or 19 cannons/6 pumpkin launchers each day without a second wasted of crafting time that I have been doing since I launched Part 3 and am still barely denting the projection booth. Different from earlier on when it was tough to get the weapons to drop, now I have far more weapons than I will be able to use. Just can’t get enough payouts in that 24-hour period to craft enough reels.

My werewolf count had been high when I did the poll, but dropped considerably afterward. I actually had none for a while. Now I’m seeing a few again. I just got to the ghosts part a few minutes ago, though. I’m drowning in nuns! I need to make more nun melters instead of werewolf converters. Headless horsemen just arrived, no pumpkins yet although it looked as though a ghost dropped one but that’s impossible and none were recorded. Maybe it was a pumpkin spice cookie hallucination. Another ghost dropped one chocolate bar.
So I’m definitely in phase 3 now. I thought I was when I filled out the poll, but I guess I wasn’t really although I was at level 8 and the picture changed. I’ve been proceeding very fast to get Patty, though, thanks especially to Bunny’s maze trick. I started her timer only 2 days and 8 hours ago but have 87/100 stickers, 14/15 watches, and 10/15 retainers. Lois just finished getting murdered three times.
I won’t unlock the dog anytime soon, but he’s placed. Will take a while to get the other stuff in the projection booth, so I’ll be in phase 3 for another week probably. You all can work out the glitches in phase 4 for me…. That’s one of the advantages of being behind the crowd!

Pumpkin drop from ghost wasn’t a cookie hallucination after all – a headless horseman just wandered into view at just the right time to make it look as though his pumpkin head was coming from ghostie… 🙂 At least that means I’m relatively sane for the moment.

I’m still solidly in week 2. I just unlocked Lois and Death yesterday! So the horsemen are appearing, I use s cannon to shoot them when they’re in the purple zone. But half the time one cannon doesn’t kill them, anyone else having this issue??

Cannon doesn’t kill horsemen. You have to collect pumpkins and turn them into pumpkin launchers. It takes TWO pumpkins to kill ONE horseman.

Read the rundown post for phase 3 or half the other ones since it was released. Takes two hits to kill a headless horseman. This is also stated in the main questline at least once. Read, it’ll get you far in life. Or at least make you aware of what you’re doing. 🎃

I really love these polls BUNNY. Tysm the taking the time to do them. Normally I am well above the norm, playing freemium. However, this event, despite having purchased two premium characters and initially the freagin’ popcorn machine, I am behind in important areas yet ahead in not so important areas. FML 😉 Still having fun with it, just frustrated as you know what. Have to admit though, just don’t have the time to play like I used to. This game should not be in the casual category; it should be in the suck all of your blood to get ahead category lol.

I love that you did the poll, AND that you gave the results of the poll, so I give HUGE KUDOS to you for having done this.
There are just 2 very little things I wish would have been done with the poll and the results (very minor)
I wish that in the poll there would have been 2 more questions asked.
1. (Aside from buying a premium character) did you spend Clams to unlock Patty or any other item or character skin, due to a timer or in order to advance to the next weeks content? OR did you spend Clams to get a building/deco that drops needed items AKA cannonballs/popcorn/soda/garlic.
2. If you used Clams, how many?
I think these two questions if asked would have helped people get a little better idea as where they stand (they will be able to see where they stand up against others of there kind) AKA freemium players and premium players.
The one other thing I would have liked to see is how many players took part in the poll.
by saying this is the results of the X number of people who took part in the poll, we get a better idea of just how large of a sample size we are talking about.
I do hope that you forward the poll questions and the poll results on to Tinyco as I think that they would have great interest in your findings.
Again I think a poll like this was needed and I think that you did a fantastic job with it.

I limit polls to only specifics for a particular focus. TinyCo knows how many clams go in n out. I want people to see where each other is without bias.
If I did a complete poll… probably be at least 100 questions. So smaller focused ones are better. 😉

I’m gonna go out on a limb & propose that was the purpose of the poll all along, to get the info for TinyCo. I’m a business & accounting major, I can’t help it. Ik Bunny cares about us & TOTALLY helps us out, but I’m sure she has a bit of responsibility to TinyCo as well. How else do u think she gets all this info before launch? This is of course my own personal analysis. I have to say though, that the statistical data is presented quite nicely. Good job!

I’m actually EXTREMELY offended by this comment. You’d think by now and THOUSANDS of replies that this is NOT TinyCo’s site, we don’t work for TinyCo, and want this site to be more about the players and NOT TinyCo … that you would make such an offensive statement.
I owe them nothing. All the Addicts have done from day one is for US, the Players. Sending them info is me saying “THIS is what the Players are struggling on, this is what WE think and feel”.
This site is called the Addicts. Just look up top. Look in the Web address. I write what I want to write. If a they gave me all the information, then why am I always pointing out their mistakes and what I personally found as I go through the event MYSELF pulling stats for the sites?
If you want TinyCo info, go to THEIR Facebook or FAQ pages. If you want ADDICTS info, be more respectful what I do on MY personal time for MY site.

I agree with being able to pick the items we want to craft. If they wanted us to have to get all them the cost of reels should be lower since the time to get them takes awhile. They could of also made the items cost less and the skins and characters to cost just a little bit more. I have expressed this opinion with them already. Maybe if you tell them as well we all might get a chance at not being behind.

Glad to know I’m behind but in the majority. I felt like I was catching up until phase 3 required deaths dog. I should get the twins tonight but then have to earn the 2nd ship and collect a rare item before even moving on. It would help if I could craft more of my items as limit of 1at a time and pumpkins taking 1.5 hours is bottle necking me. I refuse to buy anymore clams but even increasing my capacity won’t help if I can only do 1 at a time as I pick it up every couple gours

Awww I missed the poll but pleasantly surprised I’m actual doing well n ahead of the greater majority . I definitely caught up what I lagged behind in the last phase . Level 11 but still need 90 reels to get the black clam n progress to next phase but I will definitely be there by tomorrow. Thanks for doing the poll its cool to see what and where everyone is at n done.

I’m surprisingly far away, not having even locked Slasher Bait Lois or Death. I don’t know if people really are married to the game 24/7 or if they shell obscene amount of clams to it, but my daily play style just doesn’t seem to cut for FG. It’s already pretty obvious that 3rd phase is as far as I’ll be able to go as a freemium player.

Poll results are very revealing about who reads/interacts with your blog. It would appear that between 70-87% that answered the poll questions are Premium players or really like Michael Meyers and Chucky. Now I really feel like I am behind in the event if most premium players think they are running behind. Where does that put us Freemium players? I still haven’t unlocked Slasher Bait Lois and have 40 Movie reels to go. Oh well, I did get Death so I am OK with the event so far, just likely won’t get to see week 4 or 5 at the pace my game is going.

People might save earned clams to get characters but be reluctant to use them to speed up tasks. I bought two characters in the music festival event (Snoop Dogg and Weird Al), although too late to be of significant help in the event. Snoop wasn’t needed at all, Al shaved off a little time battling the mechs but not much at that point. So I really was playing essentially freemium even though clams were spent on the characters. So it can be complicated to decide how to categorize players.
I’m not buying anything in this event – am hoping to save up to get Cleveland, who will probably disappear from the store just as I reach 399 clams…

Nice results. This afternoon my pay out for killing werewolves dropped from 8 cups of soda to now just giving 1 cup of soda. This happening to anyone else? Is this normal, or has TinyCo gotten tired of me griping about how much soda pay outs are terrible for all you have to do to earn them?

Those big payouts seem to be less frequent indeed, still got one that paid 10 sodas for hitting 7-8 flocks though earlier today.

Not seeing this in my game, however soda amounts have been drastically reduced for vampire flocks. I know it’s random but all week I was getting 7-8 for taking out 15 flocks (max). Last night and today I’m lucky if I get 3.

My werewolves are still giving out 8 sodas. The number of werewolves has drastically dropped today, even down to zero for a while but now up to 3 or 4. The ghosts and headless horsemen just appeared in my game.

This was so good to read. Thanks a million for posting. I am behind and won’t get to start the next phase tonight but at least I’m not alone. Made me feel loads better.

What I find strange about the reel exchange is that you can have two item but different amount to obtain the same reels, like at the moment I can get 10 reels for either 30 or 35 soda why?

Some may want to use their items to last amount so want to “get rid” of extras. Also sometimes an option is one use only. So you can see if you use one another might still be there.

These results are a bit relieving. I am pretty average, not that far behind everyone else. And I agree as well, phase 2 was very frustrating but the second I entered phase 3, there were more options/ lower amounts needed for reels and I progressed a LOT faster. So to the players in phase 2: Keep going, it´s worth it and the game becomes fun again!

Hopefully TinyCo takes a glance at this and sees how unpopular/frustrating the concession stand has become for so many of us. I’ve messaged them in-game about it several times now, but they really don’t seem to respond to those any more.

Chocolates will be your main source, but other items will help too as alternative options come and go.

i’m stuck on deaths dogs house, have bought it from the projection booth but can’t place it so am losing out on getting the chances to get the items for esther. is there something i’m missing?

I’m really not that far behind week 2 felt like I would never catch-up, so far in week 3 I’m on part 5 of the main questline, almost have Esther and just need the last 3 things from the projection booth. The only thing I’m worried about is the questline which will prevent me from starting week 4 until Sunday or Monday. Here’s hoping week 4 is more like week 1 lol 😉

I’ve seen people complain about just getting holy water balloons, but that’s all I got and I was very happy with them – really relieved the pressure on my few holy water gatherers so I could use them elsewhere as needed or not stress about no room in the queue. I still have a huge stock thanks to Ollie. Getting more cannonball options helped a lot also (the pumpkin bounce house gave me a total of six sources, enough to keep me ahead rather than behind on the werewolf situation).

My only issue is I have not been able to trade in my abundance of popcorn and soda for a week now, I have had not one opportunity and I check often. I messed up on last item in phase one from the props and was counting on the trade rate I had prior to hitting timer on last prize phase three props, then never got to trade a single popcorn or soda. Other then that liked phase 3 better then 2:) and I have collected a lot of stuff others haven’t so I’ve been trying:)

What does it tell us. The majority of us are panicing thinking we are behind but we are mostly in the same place. I think the panic is from thinking we must be ready for the next week as it drops and in reality, only about 20% of us will be. If I’m honest, it seems a little low to me, I wasn’t expecting 100% but maybe half? Even if the reality is different, the perception of the event isn’t helping.
So, any tips for other players? Not really, sorry. I’ve kind of given up on the unholy nuns and so concentrating on gathering cannon balls and just started on pumpkins, these seem to be the ones that help in the concession stand more. I just know this is going to change now!

It’s thanks to this site that I was able to get Slasher Cat. Would have been mighty unimpressed otherwise.
Just started Phase 3 today, and by that I mean hit level 8 in Scream Points. XD
I’m on the Decorated Ghost Tree, but am going to hold out on reels, save them up, just in case TinyCo decides to let us choose what we want. If that doesn’t happen, well, I won’t have many to spend anyways.

oh wow see when you posts these polls, the results ALWAYS surprise me like it seemed to me majority of players were way behind maybe stuck on part 1 or 2 of “Death At The Drive-In” because of all the DAILY comments alot of people were complaint about Slasher Cat and jus everything that has to do wit the 24-hour timers, but apparently not. Real surprised alot managed to unlock Slasher Cat and with that Buddy Cianci High School Skin wasn’t there a glitch or something that happened where the timer automatically started when you first tapped on it to start working for the very 1st prize? That’s what mine did, but i figured i wouldn’t of been able to collect 300 movie reels in 24hrs!

Thing is… 98% of comments in any walk of life is a complaint, but only represents about 10% of actual players. Math…I know. Lol.

I am 50 reels away from Slasher Lois as well. I don’t think I will ever really be in this event and I can’t wait for it to be over. I am sure that TinyCo. will start another event soon enough. I was more into the Ghostbuster event last year than this one.

Good poll, I am definitely not behind based on those results, although I think the unexpected trigger and expiry of the school skin helped with that and I plan now to let the petergeist skin expire too…..looking forward to phase four

Yeah, right after I placed the boat I purposely started the timer while I had 0 reels so I wouldn’t even be tempted.
I’ve caught up, got Esther doing her quest line, death’s dog is doing his, just wondering when the next movie will be ready.

Im surprised that Most of the Players are on scream Level 8-9 and earning a small amount of reels (16-30).
I make about 80 a Day (thanks to Phase 3)

Would you mind sharing how you’re getting 80 reels per day? Because the exchange rates for my concession stand are ridiculous…. 35 sodas for 10 reels, 80 Popcorn plus 27 sodas for 15 reels, and 15 chocolate bars for 5 reels… 35 sodas is 5 werewolves so around 5 hours to create cannonballs to get them, 80 Popcorn is 8 nuns at 1 HR each for water balloon cannons, plus 27 sodas at 4 werewolves at an hour each…. 12 hours of creation time to get 15 reels. Can you share some tips to help others reach 80 reels per day?

A couple of things that surprised me,
-So many people have Slasher Cat (the surprise timer was actually what connected me to this site)
-So few people earn less than 100 reels per day. That’s been fairly consistent for me.

I just realized I clicked on slasher cat in the poll even though I did not unlock him. I got a little click happy and just clicked everything up to slasher bait Lois. I wonder if others did the same.

Thanks to FG Addicts I had heads up and didn’t get the item before Slasher Cat until I could buy both. Unfortunately I didn’t check before fixing Patty’s car, was’t prepared and thus didn’t get her.

I purchased poppy, choco and soda guy. They help.
There’s never any down time making balloons, cannon balls etc. Just see what you need for current concessions and keep the queue loaded. Rushing those items is fairly cheap too.
Keep Peter available to save Lois as soon as she’s attacked.
Make wise choices in concessions. If you’re about to clear a 25 reel’er don’t load the queue with stuff you don’t need. In other words don’t waste your chocolate bars on 5 reels if you’re about to hit 15 or 25.
And most importantly, open the game and “true up” your resources every hour. I’ve been playing every hour except during sleepy time.

I was so excited I had enough reels to get the Black Clam that I accidentally clicked on it starting the timer for the Petergeist Household. Even tho I knew from reading here that it was timed and cost 500 movie reels I still wanted to try for it. Guess I blew that one!
