We have an extension that now pushed our Turkey Day Event one day more away. It will now end Friday, December 4th, 3PM Pacific.
Meanwhile, I wanted to get an idea where all of you were at so far in the Event. What items you had picked up along the way. Those Materials that you seemed to be struggling with. Thanks to everyone that took part in the Thanksgiving Event 2015 Poll!

A Total of 140 Fat Coins were needed to get all of the Prizes on the Fat Side of the Highland Park Market. With the extension, that gave us 10 days to collect around 14 Fat Coins a day. So it looks like the Majority of you were right were you needed to be. Depending on how many times you sent Characters or Cleared Fat Protesters to earn them, your results should have placed you right at those marks without spending Clams.

A Total of 82 Fit Coins were needed to get all the Prizes on the Fit Side of Highland Park Market. So with the extension, 10 days to collect at least 8-9 Fit Coins a day. Should have been easily done on this one. Many of you hit that target amount and then some just fine. Again, from the results, with barely anyone at all spending Clams. 90% + of you played this one all Freemium.
Looking at the Poll results, it does appear that overall this Event was planned out and played out pretty smoothly. I know some of you did feel like it was a stretch, but the majority of it seems to be mainly panic of “I can’t do it”. I also saw a lot of Players just not bothering as it was a Holiday Weekend and family was more important… as it should have been.
In the end, I really feel this one played out nicely. Normally I feel terribly rushed to get you the details and seem to swallow a LOT of Clams to do so. This one was easy on the pockets, still spent close to 3000+ Clams… but compared to the 20-30,000 Clams I spend on Major Events… this one was nice. I only spent them to unlock the Highland Park Market Items and get the drop info, otherwise I would have coasted through this Event too with the rest of you. All for the sake of the site. 😉

Family Guy Addicts 
I spent the past two days attempting to get kale to unlock Roberta and managed to get 6 of 7 by 8am this morning which left me with 20 chances to get the last kale. I was convinced I wouldn’t get it but to my surprise, with 10 minutes left in the event the very last Mort I tapped gave me the 7th kale to unlock Roberta.

Got everything expect for the kitchen sets. Was able to get Donna and Roberta without having to buy rallo to help get them. I did buy him last night and I’m glad they got the new family in here.

THANK YOU so much for everything you do. Any news of a Bunny being added to our games? What should her actions be? Freemium or Premium? Who would voice you? Catch-phrases? You sooooo deserve it, I hope tinyco realizes it.

It is unfortunate to see a number of players who have expressed dissatisfaction from the drops. Kale was tough, but mostly because it was a “rare” one-hour drop. We don’t see that much where a rare item is tied to a one-hour task. You really needed to go into your game as often as possible to collect and restart the tasks. I recognize that is not the easiest thing in the world with all of our busy schedules. The game rewards you for collecting and restarting tasks (even when the drop is empty). One-hour “rare” ones are tough, no doubt. I was able to collect at least four of the “extra rare” coconut oils in the time it took me to get the kale I needed to finish. Not sure the drops were the problem. You just needed to be constant with collecting and restarting tasks and to do it every hour was probably the toughest thing about the whole event. But on a whole, I liked the event and thought it was a nice way to ease into the chaos of Raid to the North Pole!

Sooooo close but not looking like I’m going to make it. I have only Roberta left to go (and thus Fat Stewie as well), and need 4 kale for her, and since I’ve gotten only like 1 kale in 2 days, no chance of getting 4 of them over the rest of today. Arrgh. These things might as well have been uber-epic.

I actually liked the pace and quests for this Thanksgiving event. Sure, I spent a few clams here and there to speed some things along but it was not an insane amount. I think I spent under 300 clams hurrying this event along – including for the balloon quests (I can live with that). I hope that more events can be more like this one and less hectic (hectic, meaning like the first few weeks of the Halloween event) in the future. 🙂

I am having the same problem. Emailed Tinyco and all they said was, “The drop rates are working correctly.” So not helpful.

I got the last kale this morning and unlocked Roberta, followed by Fat Stewie, I actually spent the day checking every hour to get those Kale needed! I didn’t have to work so I did around my house work, lol. I got Rollo to complete the family because I already had Cleveland Jr from a previous event. I’m just glad that I got all the non-premium characters in time.

I’m so aggravated, I’m still stuck on the kale, I haven’t gotten one single peice and been on it for like 4 days now so I’m kinda stuck in my game….. Oh well, it ends tomorrow and then Christmas begins so I’ll just get into the Christmas sprit and hopefully TinyCo gives us a chance to get Jesus again as a freemium so that we can get the random clams again. Oh and Bunny 🐰thank you for all the time that you put into doing this!!! It’s much appreciated!!!!

kinda of big WTD, i just unlock Donna, game freeze or stall on the “awesome” screen, no donna in my inventory or anywhere, and after that, i go look back on her screen, need to get nearly all the things for her, mostly fat coins and the 2 butters, already send an in game message …..

What I liked about this poll was the timing, the (originally scheduled) last day of the event. I feel that having all of the info still live in our games will lead to more accurate results. Sometimes, when these polls are a few days after the event ends, I tend to forget some of the info needed to answer the questions.
I know these take a lot of your time, but, they are much appreciated. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to know this info.

I got Roberta and Fat Stewie on 12/03/15 at 2:12pm pacific, so I would have just made without the extention. I spent over 69 clams (giggity) finishing up various quests and to get kale drops. Kale drops seemed more like ultra rare for me.

I still need 1 butter and 2 kale to get Roberta and Donna. Hopefully they’ll drop soon. The major thing that I didn’t like about this event is that I can’t even buy the missing items to get the characters. If I want the characters, I have to buy them at full pop even though I have most of the requirements already collected. They really need to change the drop rate or give more characters jobs to get some of the rarer items, or reduce the time requirement of other characters for their tasks. Even with the extension, I don’t know if I’ll get the last items in time cause the drop rate is pretty dismal.

I can spend clams to speed the task on but I’m not “guaranteed” to get the item. I’d rather not chance losing more clams. I did just get Donna but still no more kale after many attempts with Mort and the building.

When you speed them…an option opens to “try again” or “buy”. Just do NOT click anywhere on the screen or it goes away. Tap on building or area, speed task, and wait. With Mort it was cheaper for me to “try again” and get the Kale I needed. But the “Buy” option is always there and guaranteed. Waiting til last minute runs down and it only costs 1 Clam to speed was ideal too.
You asked for a buy option, so I’m letting you know where that is 😉

Thanks Bunny, I did get one kale drop and just had one left to get so I broke down and spent some clams. I went through the rest that I had and didn’t see any drop so I was going to wait another round of tasks but when I checked my items, I had enough, which is strange cause I didn’t see the last kale drop. I was able to get the Ramona finally and complete what I needed :). I’m glad they extended it by a day. It was needed.

i still need 1 butter, 5 kale, and 2 drumsticks. the drop rate sucks out loud, as it usually does in all the events. “rare” seems to be code for “not gonna happen”. mr. herbert has been freezing popsicles for days with no luck, quagmire just gave me my first butter after days of sucking back olive oil, and the butter building is as useless as herbert. i bought 2 kale for 14 clams each! seriously, it delivered on the 7th round each time. i bought rallo. no idea why. that wee dude has been nekkid in the yard for days and he’s only managed to squirt two drumsticks. another huge waste of clams. ya live, ya learn…

Keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll get Roberta and Fat Stewie by tomorrow. I’m so close…all I need is 3 more Kale. But only Mort seems to be dropping them and that’s pretty rare. I did get Donna though, so yay for that!
I did up spending some Clams despite hoping I wouldn’t have to spend much. I didn’t want to buy Rollo until I knew there was a chance I could unlock Donna and Roberta, so I waited until I was about a couple items out to buy him. When my Fat Protesters stopped showing up or only started dropping coins, I bought the item to generate more fat coins (and now that I’m done with the Fat side, the fat protesters are showing up in droves. Go figure!) And I ended up spending 40 clams on the last Kale to unlock the Ferris Wheel, because I wanted to have all day today and whatever time tomorrow to earn the Kales to unlock Roberta.

I get that this is not the best section to be posting but since this is the newest post and the Christmas event is going to be starting any day now I decided to post this here, hope you don’t mind.
This is an idea I had for the upcoming Christmas event.
One of the biggest things during the Holiday seasons aside from shopping is the returning of gifts,,lol.
Since in just about every single event people end up with boatloads of crafting material that we can not use, 100+ cannonballs 75+ pumpkins etc etc, So since everyone always feels annoyed at having spent so much time collecting items that become worthless once they have the required items, it would be great to have a “Return counter” where players can turn in certain materials in exchange for other materials.
Just as an example turn in 5 common snowflakes for 2 uncommon Christmas wreaths,, turn in 5 wreaths for 2 rare Christmas cookies, turn in 5 Cookies for 1 extra rare Glass of Egg Nog
this would make things easier for players to get the items that they need and not end up with so many “materials” that they no longer have use for.
Every event has it’s drop rate issues, certain items not dropping as often as they are listed to (Tubas) so instead of them adding that item to another character to drop they can simply have the players trade in items they have a lot of in order to “trade up” for the harder items they need.
returning gifts has become a Holiday mainstay so Tinyco putting it into their game would fit in with the event and relieve soo much stress from this event,, everyone is under enough stress this time of year as is.
So why am I sending this idea to you instead of Tinyco?
Well I am sending it to Tinyco, but since you seem to have their ear and they actually listen to your feedback from the fans , if you think this idea is a good one and you endorse this idea, Tinyco might actually implement this idea in like week 2 or so of the event.
The players always find things to complain about in these long events, usually with good reason, I think this idea would go a long way towards squashing a lot of those complaints.

I still don’t think the event lasted long enough or the drops were generous enough. Looking at the results of the characters, which I think most people prefer unlocking than buildings; less than a third were able to get Fat Stewie or Roberta and not much more than a third got Donna.
I have over 6 million coins, I just wish that could be used for characters too.

I’m glad they extended it, but have no idea why they did. I haven’t finished yet because I have no phone still (lost it the last two days of Halloween event and it was supposed to come in the mail already, but whatever). So I’ve only been able to play like twice a day on an ipad though I will probably get everything by Friday. But normally this event would be extremely easy.

Thrilled with the event and even more thrilled with the support on this site. I am new to this game so I bought all the premium characters as I will need them sooner or later. Event went smooth, although I will never look at kale the same way again 😜

Had most of the premium characters from earlier levels when they were given as part of the plot like cleveland, cleveland jr and conseula so that made life a bit easier

I was one of the players who bought Cleveland during this event. I only did so because he seems to be becoming more and more relevant recently, and he was 50% off. Gotta thank TinyCo for the discount!

Well shoot. Was hoping she’d post and pop in from time to time. As cute as the lil bundle is (so glad she’s done with the NICU. I hated that place), I’m probably not going to find time to follow two game blogs when i barely have time to play one game and TSTO has been off my phone for a year. Lol. I was hoping for a last minute drop as TC extended the event by one day. I have over 100 of each and nothing to spend them on. Maybe we could get B. Brian and Jasper in exchange for them as I don’t think more than a couple of them were earned from the Mystery Box after reading all the remarks from those of us who were upset by not getting them. LOL

You don’t even want to know. Lol. (3500 costs $100 if that gives you an idea) Luckily TinyCo has been very generous lately and helping with providing some to me for my Test game I use for the site. It has helped my bank account A LOT! 😉
We honestly don’t make money off this site. Anything we are lucky to get from it goes right back into reimbursement for Clam purchases and the monthly/yearly site maintenance costs. The rest, comes straight out of our own pockets. Been that way since we started.

I honestly think people don’t really understand the amount or time too. One of the main reasons we point out we are not TinyCo nor employed by them in any shape or form. If we were, this job would be so much easier as we would get paid to do it. This is all literally “At the Addicts Expense”. If people would grasp that concept and understand truly what we are really putting personally into keeping this site alive, I think a lot more respect and appreciation would show. Sadly, for now, the trolls and outright abuse is still there. 100 fold more on this site than the other. Makes it harder and harder to keep going.

I am perplexed as to why this site is struggling to build the friendly community of the other site. It’s sad really, as we’ve all been playing the game long enough to understand the mechanics and nuances, yet every event is met with an outpouring of anger. I know it’s one the reasons Alissa moved away from the site, and totally understandable as she didn’t need that whilst pregnant. I’m not holding my breath she will be back as I think the game drove her a little crazy. And that leaves you my dear Bunny, ploughing this lonely furrow. Just know some of us do appreciate the time, money and effort. Sadly sometimes the shouty pitchfork crew just drown us out, but remember we are here.
And the poll results made interesting reading as always. Keep up the good work as its not just us who would be lost without you, I hunk TinyCo would too.

Honestly… not really. There’s still a ton of frustration with EA. Even right now with their new release. But more respectful discussions and understanding on the other site than out right abuse taken out on this site.

I think the difference in show audience might be at play here. On the other site I would expect fans of the show (and thus game players) might be generally a little bit older than Family Guy fans. Also the overall tenor of the shows may also come into play, as Family Guy is a little more “edgy” than the other show. With that may come an immaturity level that could be reflected in the more harsh comments on this site.
Hang in there Bunny, there are many of us that read both sites, and really appreciate the work that you and the other site moderators do. As with any blog there is likely much more bad natured commenting than good. I suppose it just comes with the territory in today’s society. So when you get the good comments, relish them that much more. And for those abusive commenters, take your angst elsewhere. We readers don’t want to see them anymore than Bunny wants to moderate them. We come here for the great insider information not for the griping, moaning and abuse.

I do agree with you on that the Show itself can dictate the “Audience” in a way. We really notice that too. Thing is the ages on both sites are very similar when we do Polls. Almost exact in fact. But the immaturity and disrespect is definitely higher here than the other. The community there is more involved then here. Saddens me. I enjoy the community feel there so much. I LOVE seeing others help in a way we do. Support their fellow players. Just makes me sad to go through the comments here and it is more a wasteland as the negativity has driven away much of the Community that used to comment more.
Not to mention there, we are not told horrific and vulgar things like here. Those comments we get here are just sickening to think another human being even thinks that is something OK to put on a public site. Just disgusts me.
No worries though, I will hang around for as long as I can. I just feel bad that my old job allowed me so much more time to spend on the sites. This new one requires more of my constant attention and more limited computer access, so I can’t give to the community as much as I did before. Yes, the better pay is great… but I do miss the site communities. Lol. 😉
