  1. I don’t really understand the medals? I have 70. Some people have 400?? I don’t understand how they have so many.

  2. You might want to add to the post that Jingle Joe, Sexy Santa Lois and Hanukkah Mort now have 6 hour tasks that drop 5 silver bells. 😉

  6. my goodness this theme is brutal. Peter camo is taking so long. I wish there was a character that could drop the grenades instead of having to wait to unlock surveillance center. Won’t unlock this for a few days. Also more character should be able to get egg nogg and egg nogg should be automatic. So frustrating to have 3 people on a six hour task and get no egg nogg’s.

    • I agree, considering 1 of the characters that drops egg nog can also participate in raids. If you use Peter for raids then you fall behind on egg nogs fast, especially if they don’t drop everytime.

  9. Bunny, can you tell me where to stop upgrading my Humma? I have held off because I trust what you have seen in the future, but I’m currently a level 2. Should I got to 3 and stop or stay at 2 or what? You gals rock!

  10. Can you give me a level to stop the Humma at? I don’t totally understand why I shouldn’t upgrade it, but I trust you so I haven’t. Where do I stop? My Humma is a level 2 now, do I keep it here or do I take it to 3 and stop there?

    • It is more a “how you play” kind of thing. I just want people to know the prizes get better but then the Battles get harder. So it is up to you if you do or do not as it depends on YOUR personal play on if you keep moving along or slow down a lot.

  11. I’m really struggling with this – I can’t get Camo Peter because I don’t have the clams or gifts needed to purchase the grenades – can anyone help? Also, I can’t battled because all my drivers are locked. I’m probably being really stupid and missing something obvious, but any pointers would be appreciated!

  12. I just realised, the bronze award in the league table is Chuggs, God’s roommate, so if I’m lucky and make it under the best 5000 then I will get another fully functioning character 🙂

Silver is Nutcracker HQ – a building which doesn’t look that spectacular – and gold is the robot elf – another character… But as a freemium player I don’t think it’s realistic to bank on those.

Do we know how many people play this little game at all, are we talking millions or thousands or tens of thousands? Just so I can think about whether I’ve got even a slight chance 🙂

  13. Hey Bunny, I know you are super busy, and I really appreciate this site, but can you do a “Humma Battles 101” post, because I’m confused about Humma levels vs. Buildings vs. Payouts. I see some people commenting to keep the level low otherwise you can’t destroy any buildings, and other people saying they get 12 hats per attack at level 4 with 1 driver.

Based on early comments I left my humma at level at 2, and with 1 driver I destroy 2 buildings and get 6 hats per attack, which makes presents a slow grind (not even got the 3rd prize yet). If I knew how to safely get 12 hats per attack that would help enormously!

(The reward does not seem random to me, I’ve been getting exactly the same reward every time for days now, so it must be based on some other variable I’m missing – questline progress perhaps?)

    • So sorry. One is still sitting in my folder… unfinished. Health concerns put everything on hold. One is coming. If you think you need MORE Hats… leveling up just one time may be good. It seems many factors in the Leveling up of buildings happen. It is usually when you destroy 3 of the Buildings at a time or have multiple Drivers battling.

  14. I have a level 4 humma and get 12 hats per attack, am I just lucky? I don’t get why I shouldn’t have leveled my humma.

    • Nevermind, I advanced in the questline and the houses got harder to destroy. Now I have 0/3 and only 1 driver and far away from unlocking Peter. I hope they change the mechanics soon, if not I will be left behind quickly

Why Santa doesn’t appear in FaceSpace? And why in Europe we don’t have another screen in the begging? We still have the same boring screen of always.

  18. Has anyone seen any combination in the Humma attacks that yields more than 9 hats?
That appears to be the highest payout achievable at the moment. I’m getting that with a Level 4 Humma and only Santa as the driver. I plan to stay there as long as I can unless the payouts go up. At 9 hats every 4 hours, it will be Saturday before I can unlock Lyle. Can’t afford to reset the payout by leveling up yet.

    • So your at Level 4 and getting 9 hats? Im at level 3 and only getting 6.

      • And I ask this wondering if I should level up to 4 and stay there.

        • You level up and it gives more rewards because you destroy more houses but the game then upgrades the houses which cuts your rewards as you can’t destroy as many, two steps forward, one step back kind of thing. You will gradually get to higher rewards.

I’m sure my rewards just went to 12 hats but the mission is to attack the village at my current Humma level (6 I think) so it will likely upgrade the houses again cutting me back down to 9 hats until I get the next upgrade which should take me back to 12 hats.

          Like

          • My Humma is level 5 not 6, as I thought I was at 12 hats but the story upgraded the houses again and I’m back down, can’t tell what to as the rewards screen has turned blank but I’m sure it’s 9 hats.

            Like

        • Yes, I’m at Level 4 and getting 9 hats. However, when I first leveled up, I could only attack one house and get 6 hats. After that, it then allowed me to attack two houses and now I get 9 hats every 4 hours.

    • UPDATE to my hat collection rate…
My Humma is still at level 4, but now I have Camo Peter. Peter together with Santa at level 4 now allows me to attack 3 buildings and I receive 12 hats every 4 hours. It also nets me 4 medals and 3 lights for good measure!

  20. I don’t have any tasks for Joe or Jerome that drop items (eggnog).
Is there something I have to unlock first before those appear?

I’m very hesitant to spend clams because of the way they’ve switched the needed item drops over the last few events.
If I could send any feedback, it would be that this new method of doing things has actually made me spend less money, not more.

  21. I notice too, that Jerome has an additional task of donate toys for 4 hours and Joe has a buy gifts for 4 hours as well. They are not used currently for anything special, but I’d suggest having Joe and Jerome do those tasks as I’m positive those tasks will be used later for quest line or maybe unlockables later on. Just don’t tie up those characters with 24hr tasks right now. They may be needed later

  22. Thanks for posting this in a very easy to follow chart. I’m nowhere close to getting Pete as not a single item for him has dropped in the past 48 hours (toy soldiers notwithstanding). It’s beyond frustrating and seriously impacting my ability to get hats. Putting characters on short tasks had no effect. Any suggestions?

  23. Heed bunny’s advice to not upgrade humma quick. Now when I put Peter and Santa in it. Lvl 5 humma I can no longer take down any buildings to get rewards. Guess I’m stuck

  24. I don’t have Camo Peter yet, but I think it finally hit me that he can’t collect egg nogs and humma battle at the same time. Has anyone who is that far found that it is now even more difficult to collect egg nogs to do battles thus making it even more difficult to get hats for presents? I am plodding along but my drops for egg nog with the three characters (collecting nine times) hasn’t been very good so I am only getting to do two battles a day.

    • Seeing this comment and Bunny’s assertion below that this will be better (not like reels!), I too am wondering about how to collect egg nogs to initiate battles when Peter is involved in the battles himself. I get nine tries a day for egg nogs and I am lucky to get six out of those for what is listed as a common drop. I know Bunny always says not to panic early and let it play out, but that’s a lot of presents needed just this week. With four more weeks to come and a complete changeover to a new item each week. I am trying not to panic but after the way the last two events played out I told myself once I get hopelessly behind I am done. I want to spend time with my family this month not be tied to a game where I am paddling upstream.

  27. I wasn’t a big fan of the collect and trade for another item, then turn in for prizes format from Halloween (at the start of week 4 I was still trying to get week 2 prizes at which point I gave up), but I’m giving this one another chance in hope they have better balance.

I’m a little worried about the ramp up cost as I’ve only unlocked the first 2 prizes thus far and only 3 presents (of 76!) towards the Season’s Greenhouse and will need at least the fourth prize to even make it possible to unlock Camo Peter.

I have all characters who can working on items, prioritizing Unleaded Fuel item, and getting frustrated at how often the Common item fails to drop.

I’m slowly working on Paint and Rations, but I’m not too worried about those because I’ll likely have them by the time I have access to getting Grenades.

Finally the Bells are coming alright, I’ve earned a total of 261 thus far and have spent 150 on the snow fort to increase future production of them. I’ve not spent any others as the other items have no return on investment so I’ll only buy them if a quest requires it or I reach the end of the event and am sure I won’t need the bells for something else.

    • This one WILL be better. I had lots of words and discussion on that one. Trust me. Was told it won’t be like Reels. Looks similar, but so far I’m already seeing a more fair exchange for items happening. 🙂

      • I’m actually glad it’s a bit easier, but I still don’t agree with this type of ‘design’ for rewards. I believe in the ol’ ‘catalog’ rewards, meaning, I get to choose what I want, for a price depending on what it is. Trust me, in seeing fair exchanges as well, but I still would like to hope we can still access another page for the next phase if we don’t make it in time. Like we have 3/6 on one page and 2/6 on another, still going in order of rewards, but for each individual page…

I feel like I made confusion in my phrasing…

  29. Honestly, not to impressed with this event so far. It all feels like we’ve been there before. Send characters to get stuff to enable other characters to do something that earns you other stuff, exchange it for something else that you can trade in for the next thing, and if you’re lucky at the end of that chain are some worthwhile prizes. Problem is, the first batch of prizes is not all that enticing. Hopefully they come up with something better for next week.

And: why do they always have to double up the tasks? 10 characters with multiple tasks each do all the work, while 80 more roam around completely unused. At the moment, I am concentrating on egg nog, but with a drop rate of slightly over 50% I still have gaps between the battles, waiting for the next drop. Still seems the best course of action, since you need one of the prizes to unlock Camo Peter.

  30. Still trying to get enough presents to place my first north pole prize building. All very slow to start.

  31. Well, I currently only have 16 presents… not quite enough to get anything. But, I’ve sprung for Santa’s Arsenal , and I’m about to get the Snowman Prototype , but one question: Will we have to collect something other than hats later on? I’d hate to buy the premium snowman prototype if it will be rendered obsolete in a few days.

With that being said, I think it’s a pretty cool event so far, and looking forward to the new stuff to come!
