Best of 2015 Volume 3 Mystery Box: 125 Clams. Here is the list of Characters/Costumes you can get a “Chance” at in this Mystery Box.
***Keep in mind what you get will depend on who you already have live in your game as well as who you have already unlocked in the Districts. These are also a “Chance” Mystery Box, so your results will vary on what you get out of it. Of course the more you already have live in your game, the less you will have in the Mystery Box and a better chance at getting them. No repeats of course.***

CRASHING WHEN COLLECTING
For those who’s games crashed when trying to unlock Don Corleone & Greased Up Deaf Guy… last report is they’re still working on it. So restart device and try again every now and then.
Also ditto for placing the “Free” Don.
UPDATE 1/12: New patches being pushed to hopefully now resolve Don and GUDG issues.
SIDE NOTE: The patch seemed to award additional materials or the Characters depending on where you were in the Event.
Most of you will find the Characters either wandering Quahog or in your Inventory Storage Menu scattered around, so check both Characters and the All tab.
Also for those that needed that character to complete a set, you also got the FaceSpace Character Collection completion Clams.
UPDATE 1/13: TinyCo still working on patches for the few devices trickling through that the previous 3 patches. Hang in there. They know there is still crashing & issues unlocking GUDG.
UPDATE 1/13 245PM EST: Per TinyCo…
The Don’s 3 day timer will not expire when Best of 2015 ends. As long as he is placed before Best of 2015 ends, players will have 3 days to unlock him.
So for those of you asking, you have the FULL 3 days (up till when your timer runs out) to earn him as long as you have him placed to start collecting BEFORE the Event ends.
Still verifying a few items, but this should cover the majority of it. There you have it, a reintroduction of some more of the Characters/Costumes from 2015.

Family Guy Addicts 
So i see everyone is saying characters unlocked themselves due to the patches but my curiosity is the difference in devices. I see like me(ios) some only got GUDG and others like my boyfriend(android) got all three. Anyone else noticing this?

To be honest we never noticed the glitch. Both had all three almost to unlock. As i said all three unlocked on his and only GUDG on mine.

I just realized the patch everyone’s talking about as I now have all three characters unlocked. Many are thinking happy bonus due to patch to resolve issues. How about my freedom of choice? I was AVOIDING Scrotes as I don’t want a grown pair of testicles walking around. Now I have to add to inventory something I never asked for or wanted. It would have been nice to at least have a claim option for those who don’t want what they’re pushing. Yeah, I understand I’m being a bit testis 😛

I just keep sending ugly Detective S. on his 24 hour task rather than consigning him to the oblivion of inventory. I owe him, since when I won him in the Mobsters event, he completed a new set of characters for the event that I didn’t even know existed and gave me extra clams, and so made it possible for me to buy Mr. Miyagi in the shop at the last minute with my earned clams. Thought I was going to miss Mr. M. by just a few clams. I do the same thing for that awful cow and the rolling candy boy, for less reason.

like others, I just rec’d Death’s Mum w/out having earned the last 19 pairs of glasses…. however, when I view her FaceSpace page, her comments section is blank. I just hope this apparent glitch doesnt prevent me from keeping D’sM in the game

Guys, weirdest thing just happened. I opened up the game and GUDG and Scrotes were unlocked and walking around. I had logged in about 4 hours prior to this and still had a few of each of their items left to get?! Is this some kind of glitch??

…woah. I just opened my game now to see the finish of the “Three People” questline. Death’s Mom was walking around. No “You got Death’s Mom!” screen, but the “Meet The Deaths” character group completed also, clams and all. I was at least 15 pairs of grandma glasses and 3 collectible spoons away from unlocking that last character.
Heck of a glitch…

I just went into the game & got notified to start GUDGs quest..I hadn’t even finished unlocking him yet, I still needed more Grease. Did TinyCo change the Amt needed or was this a glitch? Hope they don’t take him away, it let me send him on his first 4 hour task perfectly fine.

I think I might buy Jack. I want to get a mystery box but not enough clams.
I couldn’t get into the game a few minutes ago, said couldn’t connect to server. I figured there was an update so I went to the store to check. The game didn’t even show up. Searched for it, not on app store. Figured, okay Google app store must be glitches or the game is gone temporarily. Came here, saw nothing about it. Tried to get onto game again, to succeed finally, AND have greased guy, detective and deaths mom unlocked. Got Don in the game and have to unlock with a 3day timer. Took screenshots incase they disappear. But I certainly was not close to unlocking any of the 3 guys. Has this happened to anyone else? I don’t want to report it and have them removed from my game.

Opened up my game 10 minutes ago to find I was given the three characters needed to place the Don, even though I’d not yet collected all the items! Hope I’ll collect the Don’s items in time!

So after the patch hit, I was able to unlock GUDG who I just gathered all the materials for, but also got Death’s Mom and Scrotes unlocked, even though I had basically just placed Death’s Mom, and still had 2 trimmers to get for Scrotes. Is this going to be fixed? I don’t want to just lose my chances to get those 2 for real because of this.

Just fired up the game and been handed Deaths Mom, Detective and Greased Up Guy, without gathering all the required materials.

I just logged on to my game after a couple hours of not playing it and noticed that my greased up naked guy and deaths mom are completely unlocked and free with their Quests ., and Don Corleone was available for free in my inventory. Also I can’t recall exactly how many clams I had but they were 30 something and now I have 58. Anybody else experiencing this? I did message them through my game and let them know if this was a glitch thank you very much. LOL

I recieved about 60 and all three characters were awaiting tasks when i opened my game and i hadnt unlocked them yet..?

Having Barnaby but not Phineas just feels weird. I hope they offer him. I’m liking the character mystery boxes but I’d hoped we’d get the buildings that accompany the characters. Washee Washee in particular has only one thing he can do (and you can’t even work toward item collection with it).

Will Don’s timer continue beyond the end of the event? I’m still scrambling to get all of the glasses for Death’s Mom, just used all of them to unlock Detective Scrotes. On the bright side, I did get 35 clams for unlocking Scrotes and completing his character set. I got all of the characters from the Mobsters event during the event except for him, Mob Wives Lois and Bonnie, and Kingpin Consuela.

So like others I’m having freezing trouble and not just I live in MN got last piece for the Deaf guy and now I can not unlock him, thinking I’m going to get Scrotes first. They going to give us time or just give us the Don cause I’m tired of being kicked out

Sorry this took so long to get posted up. It’s been quite a mess to untangle and quite a bit of content to have to churn through in a short amount of time. There are many characters that were released that did not come with questlines and some questlines break after they’ve been initiated. I ran through this walkthrough on an alt account to generate what a new player would be facing and to get a true read on what’s broke. The reason for the breaks and lack of questlines are either missing buildings, characters, or actions. Although TinyCo had stated they would be correcting these issues, it appears that it won’t be in enough to to make a big difference on this event. A list of what’s broken and why will be made in a separate post. If you don’t see the walkthrough for a character below in the Character Quests section, then it’s broke. For those who are still looking into completing this, here’s the walkthough.
On a final note, to start the timer on Don Corleone you have to place him. Once placed a 3-day timer starts and is associated directly with his character as there is no questline for him or to unlock him.

Hey bunny maybe you can help. I’m trying to unlock deaf guy the last thing is the grease I have all of them but when I click on it the whole game locks up and I have to force close the app. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had it happen to me as well. Just got GUDG and the game keeps force closing so I can’t pop the bubble 😦 Hope this gets fixed soon. I was really looking forward to having him in the game.

Why put extra rare and epic on items you need to collect if they are putting a time limit on umlocking characters, especially a short time limit? These item are hardly fropped if dropped at all and then after the time limit is over, you lose a character. If you fail to unlock, it doesn’t seem worth it, especially if they only give you a week to unlock them.

Got Scrotes this morning and GUDG four hours later and thought I had a fighting chance to get Don Corleone before the event ends Thursday (already had Death’s Mom), but alas GUDG seems to have the same problem as Don — game crashes when attempting to pop his bubbles and put him into my game. So I sit and wait patiently for TinyCo to figure this out. I hope at least they allow the timer for Don Corleone to run beyond the end of the event so I can have a real chance to get him. He’s the only character I really wanted out of the three.

I totally get that there are extremely pressing issues that TinyCo is dealing with, but I read all the time that these things are predetermined as to when they are scheduled to drop into our games regardless of the many, many glitches prohibiting players from launching their games. But how should we read that this character was dropped into our games with less than three days left to the event and there is a three-day timer for Don Corleone? Has there been any confirmation that his three-day timer will extend beyond the conclusion of the event? I have read all the posts pertaining to the event and I haven’t seen that spelled out. I guess I would prefer to know now that there is little to no chance of getting him if everything goes at the end of the event as opposed to thinking I have a chance once I unlock all three characters and opening my game at 3:01 pm PT and finding everything gone. Thanks Bunny for securing this piece of information and for everything you do.

There is definitely something up with the drop rates for the Beard Trimmers. I’ve had all the characters collecting since the event started and not one has dropped.
The item is listed as epic but when the character is on the task it shows as common – which is it?
With the event ending in two days, I can’t see how I will get the 5 trimmers.
I am convinced the drop rates are weighted by how many coins you spend – if you are freemium then they drop less often than a paying player. I reckon they time the drops so you get all the items for a character just before the event ends leaving you with no time to complete the next part of the quest line – in this case Don Corleone.

Just some feedback… my Freemium game got them faster than my Premium. $$$ spent has nothing to do with it. Many times my Freemium gets items faster, it’s all luck of draw on how often you send, collect, and how often you play.

Just another idea … I always break up my characters (per a suggestion Bunny made a long time ago) so they aren’t constantly doing the same task over and over again. Send them on a one-hour task every second or third time and always after they drop when dealing with “extra rare” or “epic”. Esther dropped twice in three collections and I think largely because I sent her on a one-hour task in between.

freemium gets items faster? How? In freemium you have to wait till you get lucky enough to get the items to drop. Premium you just pay and get it right away. So honestly, freemium is not faster. Send characters constantly and still no drops.

This is happening to me and yes, I sent the ‘free’ Don on a task. At least I know now they are aware of it. On a related note, prior to this new issue I got the Don down to just one hat left so decided to buy it and unlock him but when I did, it would crash. Happened several times. Could not unlock him and then the timer ran out. I did message them about it. Not had feedback yet.

I’m having the same problem. GUDG would crash the game; I sent a message to TinyCo that I think got through (have they removed the option where you can actually see the conversation? Or is that only when they actually reply to you?)
Now I try opening the game this morning, and it crashes and closes before I can even get past the loading screen.

I know this isn’t quite the right thread for this but do we know when we get Robot Elf and Chuggs? I still have the leaderboard on my screen so I guess it hasn’t been finalised but it’s now been quite some time since the end of the event…? Just can’t wait to have Chuggs and God together, I hope there’s a joint task 🙂

As of 4pm EST Tuesday, I just have to get four tubs of grease for the greasy runner. But the uncommon drops are more uncommon than usual and I only have Joe and Brian collecting. So it will be tight if I get him at all. Playing freemium. The epic stuff dropped faster for me, don’t know why. But I remember some events when the floodgates opened for poor drops just in time, so don’t give up hope. Just keep sending everybody you can. I did have practically everybody who could do those tasks, though, which helped a lot.
Don’t know why Riker couldn’t collect those beard trimmers. He’s been fixated on his beard since he crash landed in Quahog. I thought I would never finish collecting all his beard trimmers and get to see the Enterprise!

If they had put Barmaid Lois and Firedog Brian in the boxes, I would have gone for it, but my new “rule” is no skins over 200 clams, so …
I did spring for Bad Trip Stewie, as I didn’t qualify at the time, but passed on Steroid Stewie (didn’t want him then, don’t want him now [I would only take that skin if it were free]) and Tricia Takagaga (didn’t like the skin enough).
I had everything else.

Bunny when are they going to release the buildings that are needed to collect items? Like Good Guise.. I forget exactly, haha, but that’s the beginning of it. It’s from the Mobsters event, it’s needed for Mr. Washee Washees task.. I can’t even remember what he’s supposed to be collecting, I’m so exhausted aaahh. He has TWO actions.. I know he has more, but I, obviously from the context of this comment, did not get him from the original event.. I purchased him from this Best of event and I’m waaayyy bummed.. Anyway, have you heard back about the buildings? I just need the one for him, as far as I know.

Det.Scrotes donuts… The new tubas! I actually picked up the trimmers at epic within 2days… Still need 4 donuts. I already had the other two, I may not even make it to the trigger for Don at this rate. So I unlocked Don and have been finishing up his quest but when I logged in, the quest was gone and so was Don! I contacted Tiny Co and will try and wait patiently but that’s easier said then done.

I claimed Don for free and sent him on a task, since then it is crashing on the load screen.
I’m sure they are quite aware of the issue, it is possible to contact them via help@tinyco.com. As Bunny says though she does have direct access to them so if we are having issues post here and she can use her sway to let them know the trend 😎.
I do also find sometimes the load screen goes to a crash report screen.

Same here! Thus is not the she as crashing when colecting. This is that after setting him on his 2 hour task (I think the task is the trigger) the game will not open at all anymore! Just crashes on main load screen every time or brings up a help site. I hope they know about this issue and are working on a fix

I’ve only been playing for about 7months, but it seems like they only bring back original family guy characters and not the “guest star” characters from movies and stuff, like John McClain, or Arnold Schwarzeneggar, or the Star trek characters. Have you found this to be the case? Do you think it has to do with the contracts they sign to use these likenesses, they can’t just re-release them whenever?

I’m sorry if commenting more than once is spam. But I got the Don for FREE. They gave it to me in my game! I went to see what was around for box 3 for the characters. I already have all of them there. The only real characters I’m missing are Julian, Buff Stewie, Mafia wife Bonnie, Barnaby(?), Tomik, Robo Cop, The Judge, and a few other premiums. But I checked to see my what else they had, they gave me The Don for free. I’m happy! :’)

Thanks for the update.. Definitely getting Jack. But I’m a bit disappointed they didn’t include some of the missing buildings with this update..fingers crossed they come soon.

They should fix the issues with Don Corleone or at least answer some of their help requests. Currently unable to load my game and have no way to contact them now.

They are answering…via THIS site and THIS post. It is simpler for me to tell thousands of Players what is going on vs you waiting days or a week for them to wade through tens of thousands of comments one by one.
