LEADERBOARDS
These JUST went live and… well… you all had a PANIC mode as you got first hand glimpse of what it would be like if TinyCo did not sweep for Cheaters on them. A Billion Latinum already? Yah, right. I think you can really see now how those sweeps keep them off.
Anywho… you will quickly see them change back to REGULAR Players here really soon as they perform the sweeps. (My games now are starting to show REAL numbers around the 100s as top spots.) Once the sweeps are done, if you see numbers like that again… you can report.
***AGAIN, IF YOU SEE THE BANNED MESSAGE… WAIT!! The Leaderboard shut out some Players and trigger that message in error. TinyCo pulled the Leaderboard while they finish up their sweeps.
As usual, AFTER they finish the sweeps here in a bit (give it a day or two)… if you still see it and feel you got the “Banned” pop up in error, message them. 🙂
UPDATE 2/13: I will AGAIN reiterate, those that saw a ban and/or got the generic message return BEFORE they pulled the Leaderboard to finish the sweeps, it was done in error. You got an automated response triggered by the word “Ban” if you wrote in during this process. Just know, like I said, to be patient. You should begin to see things start going back to normal, if you do not already, on the Leaderboards and you can disregard the automated response for “cheating and bans” that were triggered by the system.
By TUESDAY (2/16), if you still have concerns… or still see a Ban message you feel you got in error, then please message them from your game. They will be looking for them at that point.
TASKS NOT WORKING
For those trying to send Star Trek Characters on a Task, keep in mind the “Location” of where that Task takes place. Many of them had a very specific spot. Like Riker and Troi in Ten Forward or Dr. Crusher in Sick Bay.
These areas have to be unlocked again, so while they are locked up you will NOT be able to send them on those tasks and instead will just get the bubble to laugh at you if you try. Well, not laugh… but if bubbles could talk.
GAME CRASHING
Hopefully this is slowing down a bit, but if you try to send a Star Trek Character from Quahog and it crashes your game… try to reset your device and see if that helps. Otherwise, try to just go to the Enterprise first, then send them as many hang out in the Transporter for their tasks (other tasks, see above).
DON’T SEE CHARACTERS YET
Just like noted above, you still have to unlock the different areas of the Enterprise, so if you do not see someone or something just yet, most likely you are not far enough in Questline or in Unlocking an area they need to function or show up. Just keep playing.
DO NOT SEE NEW UPDATE
It just hit Amazon finally today. Let me know if you Facebook users are still not seeing it. Otherwise, you MUST be on 1.18.0 Version in order to fully see this Event.
Also, if you played last go round you will not have too much to do or see as you already have it all.
So far these are the main items I am seeing. I am still running through a lot of details and information for the Event and will have more detailed posts coming soon.

I play on a Samsung galaxy note 4 and for two weeks I try to get on and I get please upgrade. I press the upgrade and it goes to google play with a message that says your device is not compatible with this version. It was working before. I can play on my ipad but not my phone. Do you have any information on this?

Hi Bunny, sorry if this has been reported, but I didn’t see it. Every time I try to take out a Borg kitty my game crashes. I sent in an error report 2 days ago, but have only gotten their usual copy/paste response back. When I tap a kitty, then tap a catnip, it crashes and closes. When I tap a kitty, then drag a cat nip, the game freezes and I have to force close. Is this happening to others? I played the event last year and unlocked everything, so I don’t know if maybe I’m just further ahead than I should be?

I was several days into Trek, but since yesterday, whenever I try to log into the game, I get a Data Error message when game is loading. Says to try and reload but it just repeats again. Cannot contact Tiny. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Bunny, I’m having an issue with destroying the Borg cube. I’ve hit it like 17 times and it seems indestructible. Am I doing something wrong? I can’t get to the next level of the main questline until I destroy 2 Borg cubes and it says I only need to hit it 3 times.

Like noted in the main post, and as you saw in the questline… you have to hit it 3 times. That means BEFORE it leaves the screen. So from the second it appears on the screen you have a few seconds to hit it 3 times in a row before it disappears again off the screen.

Hello! I saw the post above about the beg cubes, but I have to say… It just does seem too difficult. At this point I have wasted six torpedoes. It used to be that things that needed multiple shots would stick around and you would just have to get more of whatever the ammunition was. Now with having to hit them while still on screen… It’s just too hard. I’ve tried shooting at the top edge of the trajectory and firing multiple times, but there is so much debris and other stuff (including much bigger ships) flying around that I always have to readjust, and as the screen is really small, I just don’t seem to make it in time. Twice I’ve managed to hit on two times and then just missed the third, and I think there was at least one other time where I only hit it once. It is extenely frustrating. Is there any word on making the rest of the stuff floating around lessen a bit? Or letting ships you’ve already hit come back around? I really hope so, as I was super excited for this event, but am starting to be incredibly discouraged. 😦

It’s exactly like the first time around. It does take patience and timing to get it just right. As its a repeat I doubt it’ll change.

Don’t worry about the other stuff floating around. It won’t prevent you from hitting the cube. You can hit multiple targets at once with one shot. Corner to corner trajectory has been easiest to get three hits for me.

Try game is stuck at the blimp quest part2. I already collected and completed the blimp itself but after I finished part 7 what the deuce never showed up . Instead it tells me to do quest part two which is the click the blimp manufacture site. Now I’m stuck before district 9 and when I click the part two quest nothing happens

Then just keep clearing tasks in your Task bar and it’ll eventually pop up.

Question: Will there be much content if we played the last star trek? Asides from Human Ruperts costume (which is stupid expensive especially if you already have rupert)doesn’t seem like much. Don’t get me wrong I get they are trying to please the newer players too but Im getting bored here hoping for new buildings ,new skins, new characters

In my game Peter has become invisible and I only see an exlamation point walking around town. He is also stuck in an infinite loop of the dialogue that starts with him asking Geordi if he wants to play Candyland. So no new quests, just the exlamation point all over again. Also the game crashes if I try to send Peter on a task or click a mystery box.

This is not intended to be a snarky comment one bit, but is there any way your inside contact can give you some idea as to what they are thinking is a reasonable total on the leaderboard for a freemium player? I don’t really feel like working my fanny off in the event to collect items only to surpass this threshold above which TinyCo will immediately peg me as a cheater and ban me from this and future leaderboards. Sorry but once burned, twice shy.

I’m finding it’s not so much the totals that bothered them… it’s something else. More Clam spending with no report of Clam purchasing.

Well this should be fun then since I didn’t spend a single clam during the event and have never purchased a single one (which I am sure isn’t what TinyCo wants to hear). I will wait for the post for more info but it is good to hear that lots of dialog is taking place.

I have something weird. My inventory button is permanently darkened. I went in to release my star trek stuff from previous event which it let me do. But now its dark like when u first press it. I can still go into other menus ie help and achievement, but when i come back out inventory button still dark and won’t let me in. Curiouser & Curiouser lol

The inventory button is darkened out and disabled when on the enterprise, go back to quahog and you’ll find you can now access the inventory.. Anything made in the replicator will be waiting for you on the pad next to the shuttle in quahog

Are you accessing it from the Enterprise? I bet that if you have all your event stuff out from last time, it thinks your inventory is empty because it only shows event stuff from the ship. Check it in Quahog and see if it shows all your other stuff.

Mine only does that when I’m on the Enterprise. Can’t access inventory from there, but as soon as I go back to Quahog, it’s fine.

I enjoyed the Star Trek event previously, but i’m struggling to see the point of this one. I’ve got everyone out, farming anti-matter, with no idea what to do with it. I have quite a bit of stuff in the replicator, but don’t see the point to creating it only to put it in storage. Not a what the duece, i just don’t understand what I’m doing. Anyone else?

Last night I destroyed a Borg cube and the main quest showed 1/2 complete. This morning i went to destroy another, hit it twice and realised i only had 2 photon torpedoes. When I left the fight screen and went back in the Borg cube had healed (photons wasted) and now I am back to 0/2 on the main quest.

The Quest should not have reset. Unless there is a save problem with your device. Visit Ollie’s before you leave the game next time to ensure your game play is synced and contact TinyCo on the resetting of the task.

Got it in the end, having played a bit more I think I hadn’t destroyed the cube the first time, must have hit something else. The Ollie tip I didn’t know though, very useful. Thanks.

Can’t get my own question to actually post, so I’m sorry to be jumping on this thread, but… Is there any chance that enough people are having trouble with this that TinyCo will consider reducing the amount of debris and/or allowing previously hit cubes to come back on screen? I am trying to be really careful but have still managed to waste 6 torpedoes. 😦 Incredibly discouraging, especially because I was so psyched for this event (football = not my fave). Any reason to have some hope? Thanks so much.

I’m having an issue on my iPad Air 2 whenever I try to send Starfleet Peter on a task on the Enterprise, the game locks and I have to restart it. Try again and still same issue. I have to play Peter’s character from my phone. Spent clams from my iPad to speed up his task and when game froze I went on my phone and he was still doing task I spent the clams on. I messaged TC and they said they had done a patch and hopefully it would fix issue and I may need to restart my device. The patch didn’t work so I messaged them again. I also got Handsome Peter and it told me I needed Peter??!! So I restarted game and it worked itself out but now I don’t know if I received the clam payout for Peter’s costume box #2. I included this problem with my message to TC. Has anyone else on Apple products having these issues?

Bunny I got my iPad for Xmas so not a lot on it to be a ram issue and Peter is the only 1 who is giving me this problem. Hopefully TC can figure this out. I’ll just have to play his character on my phone. Thanks Bunny for all the hard research you do to help us out.

I found the Star Trek event to be frustrating last time. I feel the same way on this run of it also. I have been a consistent player since day one. My experiences have grown with TinyCo. As they succeed, I feel triumph also. But for some reason this event and I just don’t vibe. Am I the only one who feels like this? I didn’t want to put this on what the deuce as I am hoping others can give me advice on how to succeed in Star Trek. For example, those darn tribbles are so small I am just never able to capture them. As always, I appreciate what you and Alissa do so much — you deserve more kudos than you get — thank you, thank you, thank you.

Isolation is best. Yes they are tiny. I’d suggest first to put any Characters on Enterprise on a task to get them out of the way of halls. Then wait. Wait til one is by itself or close to it… then tap. That way when they multiply they’re easier to get.
Otherwise try your local store or pharmacy for an inexpensive stylus to use instead of your finger. That may help. 🙂

On top of that just repeatedly tap in that area to immediately remove all the ones that appear after tapping the first one. the game will register all the taps before they have a chance to move.

In addition to Bunny’s advice, I like to get them in that T by the replicator. It’s the best visibility, the least amount is blocked by the rooms. Tap one, then tappa tappa tap.

Im stuck. I rdid the repair the schuttle but when I click on it or try and send a character on a event related mission it crashes. Im on android fully leveled and fully updated. What can haz do for please?(^_^_^)

Can you use the Task for the main Questline instead and tap on Go to take you there?
If not, I can suggest basic troubleshooting before contacting them.

Oh great and wise Bunny, i am currently on Star Trek: Second Contact, Part 4, and have yet to see a borg, in Quahog or the Enterprise. Is anyone else reporting this issue and/or do you have any advice? Thank you for all that you do, by the way!

Odd. They showed up right away for me. All I can suggest is go into sidewalk/road mode and see if you have a patch of road somewhere hidden behind buildings or decorations. They gather on roads like Characters.

I never saw any in Quahog, but they showed up on the Enterprise during Part 5. Would have been nice to get the freebies first, but c’est la vie.

I saw the first group of 8 that you tap in Quahog when they were required to be cleared in part 2 of the questline. I did not see any more anywhere until part 5 when two need to be cleared with a character. They showed up on the enterprise at that point and have been there since.

The quest line is not popping up for Peter and I am in district 5. But at the same time I do not have startrek peter so not sure if that’s the reason. Also i am on update 1.103

So there really is nothing new (aside from the leaderboard – ugh)? That’s sad as the first Star Trek event was my favourite of all the events, but when I got to the Enterprise all the areas had characters/skins that I already own. I was hoping there would at least be something new for me.

The Vulcan Floor in the Replicator is really the only “new” thing I am seeing outside the Leaderboard. Having it all may give you a leg up there as you can focus on only earning Latinum…. if you want.

TC snuck in a Valentine’s micro event. There is a Love Out of This World mystery box. Each try cost 25 clams. Handsome Peter is available; I didn’t need to buy all the other items to earn him and it appears the prizes do not repeat. Happy Valentine’s Day to all.

Bunny, when you say they are making sweeps for cheaters, are they automatically banning people who they labeled as cheaters during the Christmas event? My A game which was incorrectly flagged says I am banished and my B game which was not is listing me among players on the leaderboard. Are they just lumping anyone they flagged for cheating — rightly or wrongly — in the Christmas event as banished without the event even starting? My in-game and email requests for proof of this alleged cheating have gone without any acknowledgement and while I find it incredibly unfair to be accused of cheating without proof, I find it almost criminal to now be banned from the leaderboard of this event before it is even 24 hours old because of an incorrect assumption from a previous event.
Can you define what is meant by “sweeps” and what we as players should expect? I see from another comment that you have a contact on the “inside” who is feeding information to you. Thank you as always Bunny.

No. They are making sweeps of THIS Event Leaderboard for those that obviously are cheating. Because of this, the Leaderboard put everyone on “hold” and caused many to see that Banned Message in error.
As for Christmas. Keep an eye out tomorrow for a post on that Leaderboard. 🙂
FYI… I have ALWAYS have had direct contact with TinyCo since this game was still in just the pre-production stage. It is how I am able to relay a lot of technical issues, get problems resolved, and make many suggestions to help Players.

Thanks. I will be interested to see that post tomorrow. I am still listed as banned for suspicious activity in this event. I hope that goes away soon. This whole thing stinks and I keep holding out hope TinyCo will do more investigation, but every day that passes I doubt it more and more. I can’t give them any more information than I already have; it is up to them now.

I was listed as banned last night and messaged TinyCo. Before I got an answer I was back on the leaderboard. However, they have since replied and said my account shows “illegitimate clams”. I’m a Freeium player with just over 400 (I’ve been playing since day one). I’ve purchased clams 2 only (which have been spent on the Consuela stable characters) everything else comes from daily freebies (Ollieland and videos).
They have said they hope this is the start of meaningful conversation but in this case their “sweep” is way off the mark.
I’ve messaged back – let’s see what they say.

I don’t understand why they can’t tell that clams have been acquired from Ollie, clam TV, and the occasional clam rewards for quests or completing character collections. That information should be just as open to them as clam purchases, they just have to keep it properly for each player. They really need to do this if they are banning people based on clam stockpiles. 400 is not a large number of clams to save up, Cleveland cost that much. I’d like to eventually save up enough to be able to buy characters I really like in events, and I’ll need to go way beyond 400 to do that. My current dilemma is Worf (260 clams) or Guinan (200 clams). I don’t think I’ll have enough for both by the end of the event unless clam TV decides to drop more on me for faithfully watching all those ads… Please take the hint, TinyCo gods!

jus an FYI: bf’s game on iOS iPhone6 WAS crashing every time he would send a Star Trek character to a task that was mainly on the Enterprise. thought his game was gonna be completely done because the game on his phone NEVER crashes and hasn’t had any crashing problem whatsoever since beginning play start of the game, but everything is running okay now seems like!👍

Is there a trick to hitting the Borg Cubes? I’ve not had any problems in the past, but twice now I have made one shot and then the cube disappears and doesn’t reappear until it leaves the window. So I have tried it twice and both times the cube goes into stealth mode. Am I missing something?

You need to hit it all 3 times while it is in the screen. So wait until it barely starts to show on one end, aim for the center, fire, re aim, fire, re aim, fire.

Unfortunately as soon as it is hit the first time it just disappeared. I think it is due to the lousy wifi signal at my sister’s house. It seems to be lagging and when the refreshed “damaged” cube appears after the fist hit too much time has elapsed and it is leaving the screen. I’ll just wait until Sunday to try with a faster wifi signal. (I am not used to a wifi signal that is about as sleeping w as dial up)

Have you tried hitting it right where it was? They travel in a straight line so you know where it should be, but yeah, it sounds like updating the image is the issue. I’m just wondering if it’ll register the hit anyway.

Another leaderboard. This is what I think of it: I would of liked to have gotten Bertram. At this stage though, my Latium collecting is going to be few and far between (I don’t even have one at this stage). I decided earlier that I just wanted to take it slow in this game for a while, another leaderboard will not change this. I just don’t feel like rushing through another event to gain more items for another leaderboard. Slow and steady may not always win the race or the game or the leaderboard but at least it can often make you feel better. 🙂

I am with you on that! Play constantly and spend several clams and you still don’t always complete the event, let alone get on the leaderboards. So just play it a sensible amount and get what we can. Only annoyed now when a FG character is made too difficult to get (eg Bertram)

All my old Star Trek buildings are dropping anti-matter instead of coins now. But Consuela’s vacuum does not sweep up the anti-matter, I wonder if they just forgot to set it. The vacuum worked on other event stuff dropping instead of coins.

Well, I for one am actually tired of the leaderboard problems and as it has not affected me being banned yet. I know they are optional BUT when your also a completionest like I am and try to get every character and skin as possible and then they put prizes like Robot Super Elf and Bertram in the leader boards it is very enticing for people like me that has to get all characters and skins in the game to do the Leaderboard thing. Well I have mentioned this to Tinyco about the leaderboard concerns and it seems this is one aspect that they dont want to listen to about because they know it makes them money. Well if that is how they want to play it then it seems this event is going to be my last. Again yes I know it is optional BUT when they start to deny me characters and/or skins because of a Leaderboard then it tells me that they are only in it for the money and not the love of the game.

My Troi doesn’t have an option at all for ‘Sense Others’ Feelings’. Is that because that task is only available when I’ve opened one of the rooms? I don’t remember that being a requirement before.

As I said, I messaged them. My reply back was quite lengthy but it basically said I was a cheater and they will give one more chance but if they catch me cheating again I’ll be banned from the game. I’m not ranting you as I know your not Tinyco but it bugs me that they accuse me of cheating. I woke up this morning and saw Star Trek had started again. Most of my characters and buildings from last time were in storage so I brought them out and played twice. I manged to get to three latinum bars. I don’t play for four hours and get back to find a banned message for suspicious activity and now Tinyco has doubled down on it by saying I did in fact cheat.

I know. I saw another Player say that too… I am wondering if it is one of the new techs though that responded with the basic messaging. I am saying that someone was just following protocol for those that see the message. You may have been responded to wrong.
My direct Contacts though, those they create and run the game, said that many are seeing it in error due to the sweep so they now have completely shut down the Leaderboard so no more confusion or messages sent. So wait… try again when they are back… and see what happens. 🙂

Yeah, banned from the leaderboard for the first time with 7 Latinum. Sent an in game message pointing out I have nearly 50 buildings and every character except Spock from the last event. Hope they get the point that some of us will get a legit jump without forking over clams immediately.

Like I said in the post above…they are doing sweeps, so many see it incorrectly. WAIT!!! Stop panicking and wait til sweep is done and Leaderboards will return. 😉

Well that was quick. Got an apology in about an hour, saying they are still tweaking automated cheating software and my account was in good standing and I would be returned to the leaderboard as soon as possible.
I guess if you send a message make sure you give information on why you may have a jump and they can check it more quickly.

My reply said I’m cheater and if I cheat again they will ban me completely from the game. Being a long time player who played the last Star Trek event and thus has all the characters and buildings makes me a cheater?

Like I keep telling everyone, they are shut down right now so a LOT of people saw the ban message. As far as communication on cheating, that one I will have to investigate further. But for now, I still say do not panic… see if you still show the message when the sweeps are done and they are back up. Then let me know what you find when you try to access it. 😉

They banned me from Leaderboards already as well. I have characters and buildings from the last time they did Star Trek. Does that make me a cheater in their eyes? I don’t get it. I already sent a complaint. If they don’t fix the issue Im boycotting the game. I’m just sick of this shot. They accuse people of cheating without any proof.

NO ONE is being accused. It is the Leaderboard shutting you out while they go through the sweep.

The actual numbers of Latinum Bars. On the current leaderboard #1 place has 245. The tier up/down buttons don’t seem to work yet. They aren’t taking you to start/end of next prize tier. Also , tapping on the “LEADERBOARD” text hides/shows the leaderboard.

Still a little concerned considering this happened (and I didn’t even see the leaderboards, just a note saying I was banned) right after their customer service rep accused me of cheating in a direct message. So I’ll wait and see for a bit, but this is rather worrying. Thanks for the update, hopefully this can get taken care of…

That is an ENTIRELY different thing. Keep an eye out for an updated post on the Christmas one.
This time, they are still sweeping, like I noted above, so lots of us are seeing it, so hang in there…. and stuff. 😉
