Boomsday 101: Twinkly Trading Post Phase 2

Hey there Hungry Humans!

Anyone in the mood for some everlasting Cream Filled Spongey Cakes? How about some dipped in chocolate? Or drenched in some delicious liqueur? Anybody want a Twinkly? MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm

In this post, I will be going over the Basics as of Phase 2 for the Twinkly Trading Post.

Twinkly Trading Post

Let’s go inside to see just what options are in store for us.

For more information on the Event, go to the Event Page HERE.

WHERE IS THE TRADING POST?

Twinkly the Kid

You can find it over in the Event Area to the left side of the Gates. Just look for all the boxes of Twinklies outside and Twinkly the Kid hanging out around it.

WHAT IS INSIDE THE TRADING POST?

Twinklies Twinkly

Well… TWINKLIES of course. Lol.

To be more specific, this is the location you will go to exchange Materials you earn into Twinklies.

WHAT MATERIALS CAN YOU EXCHANGE?

Right now, there are TWO items you can use to exchange.

Water BottleWater Bottles (Always):
Clear Mutant Goldfish  +12
Help Chris Recover from Radiation Sickeness (requires Clevemire) +18
Endless Water Tower +12

CigarettesCigarettes:
Bomb Mutant Stewies (Chance) + *varies
Return a Mutant Human back to Normal (Always)  +10
Mr. Ciggy (Always) +10

WILL THERE BE MORE ITEMS TO EXCHANGE?

Twinkly Trading Post Exchange Materials

YES! As in past Events, as well as this one, more items will release each Phase to add to the Mix to Exchange. If you look at the top of the Pop Up Screen for the Twinkly Trading Post, you will see the 4 Materials you can expect throughout the Boomsday Event.

Water BottleWater Bottles: Phase 1
CigarettesCigarettes: Phase 2
Gas Can Gas Cans?: Phase 3
Pills Pills?: Phase 4

As the Exchange Options WILL change with each Phase too, try to use the items you can when you can. Just keep in mind that there is no way to determine HOW the next Phase Exchange will work. It could require more of an item, less of an item, only that item, or a mix of items.

HOW DO I MAKE AN EXCHANGE?

Just tap on the Twinkly Trading Post to bring up the information. Inside you will see in the top how many of each item “YOU HAVE“, the Current Offer you are looking at (surrounded in yellow box), the “REWARD” you will get for the Trade, and the “COSTS” it will take to get the Reward.

Twinkly Trading Post

If you do NOT have enough to make a Trade, no Check Marks will appear, the Materials you are still missing will be in red in the “COSTS”, and you will see the Clam Buy Out cost “GET NOW” for the Reward.

Twinkly Trading Post Not Enough

If you have enough to make the Trade, you will also see a Check Mark on the Offer and the “TRADE” button highlighted in the lower right side. You will also notice the “COSTS” numbers will be in yellow.

Twinkly Trading Post 2

If you see “TRADE” and want to take the Offer, tap on it. Twinkly will pop up telling you “THANKS FOR TRADING!“. Your Twinklies will pop out in front of the Trading Post, and if you wait a minute the game will automatically gather them to your Twinkly totals for you.

Twinkly Trading Post Thanks For Trading

A NEW Offer will then take the place of the Offer you just Traded in the Twinkly Trading Post.

HOW DO I GET MORE TWINKLIES?

Twinklies Twinkly

Honestly, just play. Focus on getting as many Water Bottles and Cigarette drops as fast as you can as often as you can each day and Trade them for Twinklies.

Main sources are listed up top.

Just keep in mind, ANY Materials you choose to stockpile and NOT Trade them until the next Phase… you are doing so at your own risk. There is no way to know how the next Phase Trading will go or the amounts of Materials it will require.

QUICK RECAP

  • Collect Water Bottles & Cigarettes
  • Go to Twinkly Trading Post to Trade Materials
  • Trade for Twinkly Option that works best for YOU
  • Get Twinklies

There you have it, the overall Basics of getting Twinklies into your game to use for Event Currency.

How is your Twinkly Earning coming so far this Phase? How many Water Bottles are you getting daily? How about Cigarettes? Any tips that are working for you with the Trades you want to share with fellow Players? Let us know.

  1. Week 3 is now well underway and I am still struggling through week 2.
Not enough darts and not enough cities!
    Plenty water bottles though…

  2. Sorry if this was already covered but for you addicts spending clams to rush and get Stan with the goal of getting Commander Jesus, if you have all other items (and just need Stan), it’s 75 clams to buy him

  3. Stan. Francine. Steve. Hayley. ….
    YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS
Now hopefully Roger’s on the way. So, so, SO happy. Ecstatic.

  4. The respawns on Mutant Stewies are just awful. I’m only seeing like 4 egg things per day.

    • You should be seeing more than that. Up to 8 MAX. Keep checking all over to make sure a patch of road wasn’t missed or if you removed them, some Egg Piles weren’t left behind.

  5. I dislike the mutants. It seems like only the people that can gather stuff for the event are turned. I couldn’t get joe because his timer activated and I had no one to gather materials as they were mutants and now I have. Four days left for Jesus and surprise same issue. It is really frustrating!

  6. Hey, my roads are all busted up! Cool effect!

  7. Really enjoying the event. Love the cool roads that just hit the game. I placed the Rekt Capital today so started working on twinklies for Stan. Should have him by Wed and Jesus by Thurs. Depleted my massive stash of water bottles finally. Tiny Co did a great job on this event all around. No problems with drop rates, character tasks, and exchanges. I’ve never spent any real money on this game but do use the free clams from all the ads and of course I play all day and night. Thanks Bunny for your efforts. Couldn’t do it without this site and I’m sure your feedback to Tiny Co has helped improve the game.

  8. I sure wish the mutants would revert back after an hour or so. I’d also like to be able to see how much time is left on the task they’re suppose to be on. I’ve neutralized Carter twice thinking his task would be done and I could reset… Nope, and now he’s a mutant again.

I had the numbers to unlock Sidewalk Joe but chose not to. I wish I had because my cure dart collecting has slowed considerably. Water bottle collecting is still good, but cigs not so much.

  9. Thanks for putting this together! I remember from last time the same sort of situation arose, where all of a sudden, you had 300 popcorns, and no way to use them for reels, and eventually, you wind up with way too many materials, but it seems like you will never have enough when they first make the scene!

  10. I would like a water bottle option too. I have almost 800 just sitting there. I really screwed up by not trading them before the week change. I was just worried buying so many Twinkies and have the Twinkies not not be the needed item for week 2. I lost the needed Twinkies and am now sitting on a bunch of worthless water. I will never get Jesus because I can’t even move through the trading post quickly. Kicking myself here.

  11. Does the cigy count for the 6 twinklies go back down once I get to 21 or does it stay there? The 27 ciggies is better bang for buck (not by much) than 21, unless of course it does go down.

    • The amounts I noted are the only combos I saw. They go all over randomly between the options.

Cigarettes only… just saw the two options repeat and no more.

    • Note; The offers stay until you “use” them, so if you have an offer for “21 Cigarettes and 14 Water Bottles”, you won’t get a better offer, until you take that one. Since the 6 Twinkly offer will almost always go down from 21, when you take that offer, it is in your best interest to always take the combo Cigarettes/Water Bottles offer, over the Cigarettes only offer, unless you somehow have an abundance of Cigarettes and shortage of Water Bottles, but that does not seem to be the norm in this phase. 🙂
(It looks like you calculated the “cost per Twinkly” as I did… 20.25/6 is the break-even, compared to 27/8, but since it will vary from 12 to 21 if you do use the Water Bottles, the average will be well under 20.25 Cigarettes.)

  12. I’m happy I collected for the Joe costume, it was worth it because I now have all four characters collecting darts non stop and together with the Mutant Stewie bombing (I now have eight furniture stores so more than enough bombs) I am getting a decent amount of cigarettes each day – fairly similar amount of twinklies to the first week. I am halfway to the Peter statue and haven’t triggered the Jesus guy yet (although since he is a different Jesus I’m not even that bothered) so things are goin fine I think.

  13. I wonder why Mutant Stewie’s still drop the item for Commander Jesus even after the requirement is fulfilled? That sure would have helped even things out with cigs IMO…

    Like

    • So you’d get them no matter what. Think of plus side… for those that didn’t have his timer triggered, they’d have them collected before unlocking him.

  14. Still sitting on my 400+ water bottles and can’t get lower. Would love to see trading options that only require water bottles…

  15. Getting TONS of water bottles, got over 500 for some reason. But getting the cigs has majorly slowed, as I’ve only got three people gathering darts for converting mutants back to humans. On phase 1, I was “done” by Monday, but on phase 2, as of this morning, I’ve got half the twinkles I need for the mutant egg hatchery.

I would have loved if they put Stan at the halfway point, so if you got that far, you got a character (or switch it for a building) that drops the darts, and help speed you up a bit.
