Hey there Carnival Geeks!
It’s time to pop all those holiday balloons so grab yourself some darts and let’s get to it.
With the Best of 2016 mini event just launching and options to earn Materials for the Event… I wanted to go over one of the new elements added to the game, Dart Game – Balloon Pop!
Let’s take a look at all that goes into this new option.

HOW DO I GEt THE DARTS GAME?
To be able play the Dart Game, you will need to buy the Balloon Pop Booth for $250 from the Shopping Cart. Once placed, tapping on it will open the Dart Game.
DART GAME SCREEN
After tapping on the Dart Game Cart, the Balloon Pop Screen will appear.
- You will see on the screen the Rewards area is blank, however I am receiving 1 ticket per balloon popped. ***Update – Rewards won are now showing in this area***
- The amount of Darts you have available in the Lower Left.
- The THROW button in the Lower Right.
- You will see the circle that is essentially your target that you will use to pop the Balloons..
WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY DARTS?
You will obviously need DARTS!! Lol.
Darts (Common): Jerome Play Darts OR Bonnie Play Darts OR Chris Play Carnival Games OR Lois Play Carnival Games OR Clam Purchase OR Questlines
HOW DO I POP BALLOONS?
This is pretty straight forward. It is more of an “Aim n Shoot” kind of set up. You wait for a minute while the Balloons float around, the more that are close or on top of each other the better as you want to get as many as possible with one THROW to save on your Darts and make them go as far as you can.
Put your finger on the Target in the middle of the screen and drag it around to where the group of Balloons are that you want to get are. You will see the circle turn from a RED/ORANGE to GREEN.
Once it is GREEN, that means you have Balloon(s) are your target. Tap on THROW to try and pop them. (Better chance of popping more if they are overlapping and are on top of one another.)
Once you tap on THROW, you will see the Dart tossed out at the area you targeted. You will then be given Rewards depending on how many Balloons you popped.
WHAT REWARDS DO I GET?
It will vary on how many balloons you pop at a time. But from my results I seemed to get:
Per Balloon Popped
1 Ticket
HOW MANY BALLOONS CAN YOU POP WITH ONE THROW?
That will vary and depend on YOUR game and YOUR strategy. I do not know if there is a set number of them you can get at one time, but with patience in my game I have been able to pop up to 4 at a time so far.
QUICK RECAP
- Buy the Balloon Pop Booth from the shopping cart.
- Stock up on Darts.
- Tap on Balloon Pop Booth
- Drag Target Circle to groups of Balloons til it turns GREEN
- Tap on THROW
- Get Rewards
There you have it, the Basics to playing the Dart Game – Balloon Pop. An element added to the game to help you earn Tickets to unlock the new and returning characters in this mini event.

I use a Android device and was getting the basic_string::_S_create error. I notified Google play about the error. I restarted my device after about a half hour and my game finally loaded and worked just fine. 😁

Ugh, I’ve uninstalled and re-installed the game four times over the last two days, notified TinyCo, I’ve always cleaned my phone every day. never had a problem until now…just so frustrated…because I’m addicted…

Same here. Uninstalled, reinstalled, still getting error on my android device. I haven’t been able to play at all for days! I’m going to miss out on everything!

21 of 21 stupid building tokens and still not 1 giant chicken. total BS. I’m also sick and tired of TinyCo saying things are dropping as they should when it’s clearly not. yet another slap in the face to their players who they obviously don’t care about

At the rate of 1 to 3 darts drop every 6 hours with 4 characters(average 3 collections a day) and hitting the balloons at min 4 per dart, I can get about 1 to 2 badges a day for both Jim or Giant Chicken. With only 4 more days to go, its barely possible. Rubbish event again! Thanks TinyCo…

At current rate of drops, will never get any of these characters by January 11. Basically, I’ve only gotten darts from all four characters once, usually three and a couple times only two.

I haven’t gotten all four yet. I was getting 3 of 4, then a couple 2 of 4 and last cycle I got just 1. Not so great for “common.” I only have 6 tokens so far as well.

This may seem like a silly question, but why am I seeing no option to buy the Balloon Pop Booth in the shoping vart? I have updated the game (refreshed)( numerous times since the launch, and………….nothing? I am playing in facebook, on my laptop (windows/firefox browser)

You have the Facebook app working? It broke for me the day before the last event ended and I haven’t been able to load it since!

Well, I’m on kindle and I do get the error, but it auto restarts once I hit the green button and starts normally, so for once it looks like kindle isn’t at the biggest disadvantage in starting an event. Still, I hope they fix it for the Android users soon.

I have the same error on bluestacks, but not on my android phone. I just delete saved data and it starts ok. Of course you need your game linked to facebook or google play.
i have to do this every time i open the game…

All I can say is I better finally get Giant Chicken this time. Third times a charm they say, right? Off to a good start with 6 Chicken tokens so far. My phone may see it’s way across the house via air travel if I don’t get him this time around lol.

Greeetings! Just wondering, has anyone experienced missing carnival tickets? Last time I looked at my game, I had 9 tickets, and now they’re gone. 😞😞

like within 15 ago, was able to get out of the 4 tries, 3 times in a row 4 balloons and the last 3 balloons

so i see its working for some ppl but all day i cant get on. so what now some ppl are deff going to have a higher advantage. I have been playing this game since you all started it. I even set an alarm and get up in the night just to set my players. Do you have any idea when Ill be able to get back on. Its almost 8 pm here and now im over 12 hours with no play time. Not to be a pain but kinda aint fair for the ppl that cant get on.

Smaller event, more straightforward, good drops so far… rage over their Christmas event fading. (Well, it was never actual ‘rage’, but not happy with it.)
I’ve maxed out at 4 balloons per dart throw, but keep feeling like I could get more. I was once a fraction of an inch from getting 6.
Doubt I’ll use their clam box, since I’m only interested in two or three things available from the list..

Max of 3 so far. I’m trying to figure out if the balloons need to be lined up in a certain way to improve the odds… BTW RT; why are you “capturing” the balloons? Are you putting them in jail? 😉

Yeah, that popping noise is a hazard to anyone with a weak hearts health, so I’m rounding them up, it’s my civil duty lol.

should i also place Red Riding Hood Stewie and Jim Kaplan in order to get the Chicken ?? or are they different characters ??

They are separate characters you can also try to unlock this event.
Basically to get Giant Chicken you need 20 Giant Chicken Tokens, you get these from winning tickets in the Dart game, instruction on this in the post, then you use the tickets you won to purchase Carnival Packs from your shopping cart. Each costs 10 tickets. You have a chance of winning Goant Chicken tokens in these packs. You can also buy the tokens for clams, they cost 40 clams each, and two characters have drops for them, Hercules and Fairy Godmother West. Hope this helps.

If you already have the chicken in your game, I don’t think you will get any tokens for him. The artwork on my chicken for the tasks shows it always drops tokens; but there is no task for chicken to earn the tokens.

There is an update for Android that kinda allows you to play new event. ( Warning!!! Make sure your game is linked to Facebook or Google) After download clear your data from FG app. Start the game, log in into the game with your user name, Google or Facebook. Than you can play the new event, but when you exit and want to play again you have to clear the data again or you going to get the error basic_sting::_S_create. I noticed that after I started the event on My Android device the event now works on Facebook

i was able to log in once and i contacted them and they cleared my game and i went back to Level 1 … so I re-linked it and i still have the String_s error

Looking at it in more detail (just got it again!) I think it might be if you pop five balloons but the game for some reason only displays ‘four balloons hit!’ but still gives you five tickets? Because I’m fairly certain I just hit five balloons and got five tickets, but only four balloons were shown as hit.
Ah well who knows with TinyCo, could be anything 😉

It’s definitely a glitch with the ‘4 balloons hit’ message. Because I now once managed to hit six balloons and got six tickets – but still with the message ‘4 balloons hit’… sorted! 😉

Yup finally experienced it myself this morning, got 6 tickets but message said 4 balloons hit when I definitely popped more than 4.

Yeah, the maximum number of balloons it will claim you hit is 4. However, every popped balloon turns into a ticket, so if you hit more than 4, you’ll still get a ticket for every popped balloon. So, if you actually pop 5 balloons, you WILL get 5 tickets; but it will only announce that you hit 4.
I assume that this is true for any amount of balloons greater than or equal to 4, but I’ve never hit more than 5 either.
*****Also, here’s a tip that I personally find to be somewhat helpful. Try adjusting the display and ‘zoom in’, maybe 1 click or so, on your web browser (or whatever program you happen to run the game through) to make it higher than it’s default 100%.
**Note – This is different than the ‘zoom in’ function built into the game, via 1 of the 4 navigational buttons along the right side of the screen throughout gameplay. That will not work for this.**
The ‘zoom in’ must be adjusted on whatever application you use to drive the game, assuming it’s provided as an option. It’d most likely be found somewhere in the settings menu. Anyway, if you get it zoomed in, then play the dart game, the balloons will appear much larger on your screen. As a result, not only will you have bigger targets, but it also becomes easier to distinguish exactly which ones are in your scope. It makes me much more confident as to exactly where and when to fire a perfect shot.

i could play once last night and i sent the characters on dart quests ….. then got the error all night … then in the morning i could play again so i collected darts , popped balloons , and bought one carnival pack (got 2 ollie tokens and 1 stewie token) … now i want to collect darts again and the error is there …

So once you have 10 tickets you can cash them in for tokens, but I didn’t see an easy way to do that, do you?

trying not to be a debbie downer as i know the event just started but i have tried 3 card packs and got ZERO character tokens. I got 9 building tokens which no one cares about because it doesn’t help towards getting characters which is what people actually want. you should just get tokens and be able to use them however you want. i really hope they don’t turn what is supposed to be a nice treat for their players into yet another frustrating event when there are no drops for the things people care about and missed out on because they were impossible to get the first time

I’ve been getting character tokens, but I have no idea what they were thinking with those buildings… IMO they’re all awful. I don’t have Lost City, Magic Candy Utopia, and Prince Charming’s Castle…. but I’m not sure I want them either! Luckily I’ve only collected 2 building tokens and the rest character tokens…. hopefully my luck will hold out!

Hi Tigger – I routinely clean off my phone (no, not with a cloth…) and have never had any issues running the game. However, as soon as I updated the game today per the Google Play Store, I received an error code that shuts the game down, but not before I can send an error report to TinyCo. I did that (twice – I don’t know why!) and am just waiting for them to respond. Any other thoughts? Android system, FYI. Again, I’ve never had any re-occuring issues (beyond the random crashes) that won’t allow me to play. Any other reports?

Yes there’s is an error affecting Android players, shows as “Error: basic_string::_S_create”

I followed TinyCo’s recommendations, including all the norml cleaning/troubleshooting recommendations, then finally had to uninstall and re-install (which is a bit disconcerting the first time!), Once the game was back, I had to go through the early motions until I could re-link my game, at which time, I was able to get into the event…for about five minutes…the first issue was a ‘duplicate game’ error, followed by the basic_string::_S_create error…again…so, I done the uninstall/re-install twice now,,,same issue…I will try to contact TinyCo support…ugh…the true sign of an addict, complain, WTD and generally get mad when you are PLAYING the game, but really angry and panicked when locked out of the game, LOL!

Sometimes the uninstall/reinstall doesn’t work for me either. Go to Storage – Apps – Find Family Guy – click “Force Stop” – then click “Clear Data”. Try loading the app then. If that still fails then follow the same steps (force stop/clear data etc) and then uninstall/reinstall. I’m not sure what the difference is, as I would assume uninstalling clears data… but I got it to work for me. It’s very frustrating!

Yes if you have not saved your game to Facebook or a Username you will lose your game progress. If you have saved then it’s a simple case of reinstalling, playing through the tutorial then loading in your saved account in settings. It has been 3 day I even factory reset my phone I am doing everything now I see ppl r still playing and Im not again I have been playing this game since you started it. You need to do something for the ppl that cant get on. please fix this error

Sorry, we aren’t TinyCo so we can’t fix it for you. However have you tried updating to the new version in the Play store which was released earlier today.
