So before you go ahead and buy to your heart’s content and your wallets empty, here’s a few things you might want to know about Game Show Cleveland, the and the Fighting Families Set.

GAME SHOW CLEVELAND

Character/Costume: Costume for Cleveland (however if you don’t already have the Cleveland character you will get him and his house as well as the Game Show Cleveland Costume for the same cost as just the Costume)
Clam Cost: 250 Clam IconClams
Unique: Yes
Drops: All Tasks drop Big Checks, and 1 Task to drop 1x Wheel Ticket
Size: N/A
Other Info: None

PROS:

  • A New Character Costume for Cleveland, we don’t see them often.
  • Cleveland and his house comes with the costume if you don’t already have him
  • Always drop of Big Checks on every Task
  • Task to always drop 1x Wheel Ticket
  • 2 permanent Animated Tasks
  • Fully tasked with Questline

CONS:

  • Frakkin 250 CLAMS!!!
  • Same clam cost for costume on its own as for those who also get Cleveland and his house.
  • Not a particularly exciting costume for Cleveland
  • Won’t be useful after the Event

Math of It:
With regards the Big Tickets, well it’s simple, putting him on any task will see you get an always drop of Big Checks, the amount varies depending on the time of the task, but you’ll get 2 Big Tickets for a 2 hour task, 6 Big Tickets for a 4 hour task, 8 Big Tickets for a 6 hour task and 10 Big Tickets for a 10 hour task.

However if you buy him, you’re going to want him continually working on the task that always drops 1x Wheel Ticket, and that’s his 6 hour Flatter Contestants task. Therfore it’s that task I’m going to do the number crunching on.

As previously mentioned it’s a 6 hour task so that will see you able to collect on it up to a maximum of 4 times a day. So that’s 1x Wheel Ticket every 6 hours, giving you up to 4 Big Wheel Tickets a day, and that’s a potential minimum of 24 Big Wheel Tickets over the 6 full days left of this mini event.

On top of this you will also get 8 Big Checks every 6 hours, so that’s a chance to grab 32 Big Checks a day, and that’s a potential minimum of 192 Big Checks over the 6 full days left of this mini event.

However remember there are other ways to get Wheel Tickets and Big Checks and these are as follows:

Wheel Tickets (Common): Lois Buy Tickets OR Chris Spin Till He Pukes OR Big Money Mystery Box OR Game Show Peter Spin Too Hard

Giant Checks (Always): Spin the Wheel of Prizes OR Quagmire Get Choked Up OR Lois Buy Tickets OR Joe Dress to Impress OR Jerome Buy Bling OR Chris Spin Til He Pukes OR Bonnie Do Karoake OR Quagmire’s Kitchen Set OR Butter Sluts Set OR Big Money Mystery Box OR Al Harrington any task OR Hookup Game Set OR Bollywood Cubes Set OR Peril Set OR Stabbed in the Butt Set OR Circle of Prosperity Board OR $100 Triangle Set OR Fighting Families Set OR Game Show Stewie any task OR Game Show Peter any task OR Game Show Cleveland any task OR Complete Questline Tasks

Final Thought:
It’s a new character costume, or if you don’t have already have God you’re getting a better value bundle. Yes the clam cost is a way too pricey for those of us who have Cleveland. I talked about this in the last event that we shouldn’t be paying the same 250 clams for just the costume as other players are to get a character, building and costume. That’s unfair to long-term players, and something TinyCo need to think about in future. 150 clams for the costume would have been fairer especially as it’s a rather boring character costume in my opinion, and at 250 clams it’s not tempting me at all. However despite that the Flatter Contenstsnt task does drop the 2 essential currencies needed for this event and will probably go a way to help you complete this mini event, which I think will be very tough freemium due to the random nature of the prizes for spinning the Wheel. I know most will base their purchase decision on those extra Wheel Tickets more than anything, but again just having the extra spins from these tickets doesn’t guarantee you winning what you want or need. So really purchasing him is a gamble in itself. Where the gamble is reduced is if you’ve been saving for Cleveland, you’re getting the sale of tge century here, character, building and costume.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and I can tell you, I didn’t buy him, yes I’d have liked those Wheel Tickets but the fact getting them doesn’t come with any guarantee I’ll win what I need on each spin puts me off plus fact it’s a bit of a sucker punch to pay 250 Clams for 1 item, whilst others are getting 3 items for the same spend. So with that in mind I’ve made the decision to play this event freemium, whether putting in my time without spending a dime is good enough, well only time will tell.

FIGHTING FAMILIES SET

Building/Decoration: Decoration
Clam Cost: 180 Clam IconClams
Unique: Yes
Drops: 28x Big Cheques every 8 hours
Earns: $45 & 30xp
Size: 7×7
Other Info: None

PROS:

  • Always drops 28x Big Checks every 8 hours
  • Will help you greatly in placing the store items with drops that are needed to unlock Game Show Peter & Al Harrington

CONS:

  • Won’t be useful after the Event

Math of It:
With regards the Big Checks, well it’s simple, you’ll be able to collect from this up to a maximum of 3 times a day. So that’s up to 74 Big Checks a day you can grab, and that’s a potential minimum of 504 Big Checks over the 6 full days left of this mini event.

With regards spending the Big Checks, well you’ll need 225 Big Checks to buy the items that have drops for Game Show Peter and a further 375 Big Checks to buy the items that have drops for Al Harrimgton. So if you’re going buy them all that’s 600 Big Checks you’ll need.

However remember there are other ways to get Big Checks and these are as follows:

Final Thought
It’s a new decoration. I’m passing as I’m going it freemium but even playing premium I wouldn’t have bought this because I rarely buy decorations, and also because I think I’m going to skip placing the buildings for Game Show Peter for now and collect what I need for the 2 items for Al Harrington drops. If I’m not going get it all freemium, I’d rather get the Al character than the Gane Show Peter costume, so I’ll prioritise my Big Check spending towards Al and then hope I strike it lucky getting both without spending a clam.

So there you have it the facts & figures and my personal thoughts on this mini events premium buys. Just remember though with it being part of a Limited Time Event, just make sure you make up your mind as once the event is over it is most likely they will be gone. In the end it’s your call as obviously hat you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only share our thoughts and let you know what we did and what we think, and why.  But don’t purchase it until YOU are sure. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

  1. I bought this bundle but didn’t get the costume. It wants another 250 clams for the costume. 😡😡😡

  2. As some one just getting back in the game I got The Cleveland for 250 and it came with regular Cleveland, his house and the Steve Harvey suit. So this wasn’t a great deal considering he is usually 400 clams. Plus I had saved them up from my free play and doing the offers to get free clams.

    • No, there’s nothing much to gain from the Main Questline apart from a few laughs at the dialogue, basically for completing the parts you haven’t as yet, that’s Parts 4-8, all you will gain back is 20 Giant Checks in total. So like you I’ve stopped at Pt. 4 as I don’t need that building, I’ve used my Giant Checks for the Al Harrington buildings and now saving them to unlock Al and Game Show Peter, probably in that order!

  3. I thought the costume was too funny to pass up, so I went for it. I can hear Cleveland as Steve Harvey in my head …
