The Family Game is now live in our games and many characters and buildings have new tasks to help us earn even more stuff! So keep reading to learn what’s dropping this event.
With the arrival of the The Family Game event, characters and buildings in Quahog have tasks to help you earn essential materials and drop stuff to help you unlock Game Show Peter and Al Harrington, and of course you want to know which ones earn what & how often. Family Guy Addicts 
Drops are atrocious. 4 times and nothing from the common Stabbed in The Butt. Also, only 4 mystery prizes have dropped since event started. Sure you can all guess what TC response was. This keeps up I don’t stand a chance of getting Al.

Same here. Don’t see how I can get Al. I’ve only gotten a few mystery prizes from the spins, so can’t get the rare dvd’s. Just saving checks now to hopefully at least get Jim, was unable to get him last time he was available. Normally I like these mini events, not this one.

Hopefully your luck has changed as I just unlocked Al around 30 minutes ago. I have yet to get any jackpots, although it’s permanently showing the Gaudy Lambo that I don’t want (I have 5 Knightrider/A-team vehicles already)

No better luck here, worse if anything. Still no mystery prizes from spins, and now ticket drops worse from Chris & Lois, so getting even fewer spins. No way I’m getting Al, super frustrating. There is no strategy to this, I might as well be playing a stupid slot machine game. I also don’t understand how results can vary so differently between peoples games.

Yeah, that’s weird… I saved up my tickets for a day or two and ended up with 15-20 mystery prizes. I won’t finish the main questline as I don’t want or need the “Circle of Prosperity Board” and will try to get Kaplan instead

Use those prizes up as 8 Big Checks still drops even after you’ve got what’s needed for Al

Lots of tickets are needed to get Peter, buildings and now Jim! I don’t think it’s possible to get Peter, Al and Jim. Do you all advise that I should target Peter and Jim? So I don’t spend tickets to get the buildings?

I can’t say as I already have Jim, but I targeted Al as my main unlock, hopefully some others will share their strategies with you.

Yes, I read about an alternative strategy after my post. Should have followed that advice and skipped Peter, so I can save up 300 tickets. There’s 1.5 days left on my clock today, and collected only 190 tickets. Not hopeful that I can get enough for Jim. If 2.5 days, perhaps possible. But otherwise, not hopeful.
At least I got Al today.

Even although I had Jim, I skipped Game Show Peter until I had Al, I just prioritised character over costume. Got him mind you but he was low priority for me.

My main focus was Al but I still got Peter’s costume because he can drop tickets and big checks. I am currently one cutout from Al so I will hopefully have him today. That gives me almost 4 days to get 800 checks for Kaplan. I now have 80+ checks after spending the ones I needed for Al. The only building I didn’t acquire was the one for the extra rare drops as Mort had already given me 2 and I figured one more was doable with just Mort. Fingers crossed… I should have all three by the end.

I have the link to the Family Guy Survey. The problem is once you fill out the survey, it redirects to Jam City website. From there, I did not see how to complete the survey. It is not controlled by TinyCo (as you saw), they have already contacted Jam City to resolve it and waiting for their update. SO… not a TinyCo thing. Sorry

Bunny, no apologies needed. This is an example of where players (us) want to provide feedback but just not able to, due to a glitch. Ironically, one of our first feedback is perhaps to reduce glitches such as these.

Really, REALLY, poor drops and, at most, two spins a day? And to use Rob’s term, for a three-tier, totally random task? There’s a reason I’m totally freemium in this one, the Cleveland costume is way overpriced (as they have been) and I’m not trying the Mystery Box – I’ll end up with the deco with my luck…

Am I understanding this event right? To get Al Harrington I send either Lois or Chris on a 3 hour task for a CHANCE of a golden ticket, then when I get 2 tickets I take a spin on the wheel for a CHANCE of a mystery box which I then use to attack a game show contestant for a CHANCE of them dropping a DVD? And I need to do this 13 times??!
Strewth that’s a bit random isn’t it? Is that what Rob means when he says a “three tiered task”? Going to be a long week I think!

All very random, which is the very thing that drives players crazy, as what you can earn is outwith your control.

It appears that they changed the amounts of tickets needed to spin the wheel. I just collected two ticket and got to chance to spin it twice. It also shows that only one ticket is needed.
Did somebody else notice this?

Sorry not exactly sure what your talking about. Do you mean the main Questline? If so, a post is coming. It’s not really as crucial in mini events like this as you don’t have to complete it. If it’s something else your looking for let me know.

Yea I was just looking at the Questline: is there any point at all to it? I’m at part 4 which requires the purchasing of “Bollywood Cubes” set for 100 Giant checks, yet all that seems to do (other than advance the questline) is drop skinny Mics, and I’ve already managed to collect 6 out of the 9 required from Bonnie alone.
I think I’ll bail on the questline and save the giant checks towards Peter & Al Harrington.

No, there’s nothing much to gain from the Main Questline apart from a few laughs at the dialogue, basically for completing the parts you haven’t as yet, that’s Parts 4-8, all you will gain back is 20 Giant Checks in total. So like you I’ve stopped at Pt. 4 as I don’t need that building, I’ve used my Giant Checks for the Al Harrington buildings and now saving them to unlock Al and Game Show Peter, probably in that order!

I tried to complete it three times as I really wanted to give direct feedback, but each time, at ~92% complete, it sends me to some ‘jamcity’ or something website and says, ‘not complete’…awesome, they send out a survey and IT glitches…geez, TinyCo…I like the thought and I’ll keep trying, but, to quote Quagmire, “OH, COME ON!!”

I noticed on the game there is a survey to take. It is very difficult to fill this out on a tablet with no keyboard or mouse to use. Is there a website to go to?

Slow going to get the prize boxes and wheel spin tickets. Hopefully that will pick up as the game progresses, otherwise it looks to be a relaxing sort of event, the way I like them! *chuckle*

Now this would be a fun event for a couple of weeks of just playing and having new challenges each week without timers or three-tiered tasks. Lots of people busy doing different things. I am actually excited to go into my game every couple of hours to collect giant checks and whatever else is waiting. I know Al is on a timer for the end of the event, but he should not have to be. Throw in a new character each week that needs similar tasks and let us enjoy a relaxed approach. I am not stressed because I am making progress every time I go into my game instead of misses on attempted killings and empty drops with just coins.
