Chris, His Friend & the Flower Bush

Hello There Clammers!

One of the most common questions we get asked here at Family Guy Addicts is…”Where the Heck is the Flower Bush?!  I can’t find it in the store!”

The Flower Bush is one of the few decorations in your Quahog when you first start your game.  It’s also required to complete Chris’s 1m task of Finding a New Friend, which earns you “Oregano”.

This decoration cannot be found in your QFS Store, no no it’s a special item, limited to 1 per town.  And that one we get for free.  The good news is it can’t be sold or deleted, the bad news is if you don’t realize what you’re looking for it can go missing pretty quickly.  Especially during redesigns.

So, if you find yourself suddenly with out a Flower Bush (and the inability to send Chris on his 1m task), and realize you can’t purchase it…RELAX and read on.

What we want: One month in

Hello there addicted Quahogians!

To me, the term “addict” means one thing – a regular dose of something you enjoy. And that really does describe my experience with the game. I love playing this game but I can’t help but think TinyCo could do much more with their game. We are only one month in, which is why I am investigating what TinyCo could bring us in the next week or so.

We have already had a 50% more chance of finding items event, and we have had a minor tie-in circus theme update, but I’m thinking what TinyCo could do to mark one month of this hit game.

I think that they could release a one month update for the start of summer. The reason I say this, is because it can give the game so much more direction. We can get limited time quests, limited time items etc. There could be costumes for Chris, Meg and the rest of the family, and it would be ideal for adding some more content. They could use this as an opportunity for the return of Cleveland (Anyone else think that the game is lacking without him?), the ghost of Horace, Lois’ parents and Peter’s dad. I think that a long quest line incorporating the idea of having to purchase Carter Pewderschmitt with his mansion in the main questline – imagine the diversity between him and Peter!

I would hope that with this update, we can place things on the sea. Currently we can’t place the pirate ship on the sea, but with a summer update, lots more could be added to the sea and the beach to give it that summer feel!

Character Overview: Joe Swanson

Hey There Clammers!

With the introduction of Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff there’s a whole cast of characters to unlock in your rebuild effort of Quahog!  These overview posts are designed to give you a quick breakdown of the characters, how you unlock them & their tasks so you can play FGG more efficiently!

Of course there will be those players who don’t want to know the details of unlocking the characters so for that reason we’ll post all of the details below the fold.  So if you don’t like to know what’s going on before you play don’t click read more…CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD

Circus is Still In Town….

UPDATE 1:35pm EST: We just received word direct from TinyCo that this will end at 3pm EST (noon PST).  So in just under 1.5hrs from now.  So if you have any last minute collecting to do get those clowns while you still can.  

Good Morning Clammers,

Well after a tense weekend and the constant signs of Ends Sunday I fully expected to wake up this morning to a Clown Free Quahog…..however this is not the case.  It looks like the circus is still in town!

So if you haven’t yet unlocked Pee Pants you still have time to get those last minute clowns to drop pies and horns!

Now…BEFORE you guys start to yell at me (cause I know there are some of you that spent clams to get that last little bit because you were afraid you wouldn’t get it)…we FULLY expected (just like you) for this event to end last night (the poll question post was written ahead of time and scheduled for this morning).  It looks like this was something that was extended at the last minute, perhaps because of your feedback on the Good, the Bad and the Not So Pretty.  Things like this are why we always encourage you NOT to spend clams to speed things up.  You never know what might happen with events like this.

At this point I don’t know when they will disappear.  I’m working on trying to find that out, but keep in mind I’m on the East Coast of the US and TinyCo is on the West Coast (3hrs behind) so it might take a little bit for an answer to come back as it’s not even 6am there yet.  So right now all I can say is just keep playing and see what happens.

What Happens After I’ve Collected the 10 Clowns?

Hello There Clammers!

Seeing lots of questions pop up in the comments and on Facebook about what happens once you’ve cleared the 10 required clowns for the task with Chris.  Do the clowns stop appearing?  Will you be able to earn all the required horns and pies?  Do you have to buy premium?  Why is TinyCo Forcing you to spend clams?  And my personal favorite…Why Don’t they give us MORE free clams?!  So let’s take a look at all of these and more….I promise it’s not as bad as it may seem.
