Valentine’s Day Phase 3 Is Here!

Update: There seems to be a lot of confusion about Affection Meter Prizes & this Phase.  As noted in the post below, you MUST have completed My Funny Valentine Part 13 to see anything from Phase 3 (except the Goat, he’s independent of Phase 3).  This includes Affection Meter Prizes.  So if you’re not getting Bonnie’s prize, check to see if you’ve completed My Funny Valentine Part 13.

Also, as noted below, Cupid won’t unlock until you’ve reached Part 6 of Can’t Buy Me Love.  So until that point you won’t see his bench available for repair.

Week 3 of Valentine’s Day is now live!  And just in time for the Oscars, it’s time to send characters on Movie dates!  Ahh the perfect date…where you don’t have to talk to each other.

Note: Cupid IS Timed!  Once you repair the bench and find him, you’ll have 5 days to unlock.  So proceed with caution!  Cupid also REQUIRES the Cupid Statue from the Affection Meter.  So you MUST get the Love Prize if you want to unlock Cupid.  Again…if you get the Hate prize you will not be able to unlock Cupid at this time.

IF you’re close to the hate prize…you’ll still have a chance to get it in the Handmade Valentine Box.  More details on it below…but if you go for the Asylum you can still win the Statue in that box.

Within the Affection Meter you’ll find the main prizes for this event.  These are prizes you can collect after clearing PDA Couples & earning either Broken Hearts or Love Hearts.  Bunny did a great job of breaking down the how-to on the Affection Meter, but many of you are still asking “which prize is right for me?”   So now let’s breakdown the prize options for the 4th set, Lois, so you can choose which one is right for you…

Valentine’s Day Phase 2 Is Here!

Update Alissa 10am EST: A LOT of you are commenting that you can’t get Cheryl, the bench doesn’t have a build option.  The answer is…it will.  Just keep moving through the questline, when the questline prompts you to build it you will be able to.  Until then…don’t worry your game isn’t broken.  Just collect to unlock Glenda and have fun 🙂

Also, a number of questions about when phase 2 will start.  Remember, you must complete ALL of The Beautiful People questline in order for it to start (it’s 10 parts).  Once you complete that the next phase will start.  (and nope, you don’t have to have Ida for it to start)

UPDATE BUNNY 135AM EST: Received following info from.TinyCo in regards to Lois going on date issue…

There is currently a bug where if a player has nerd squatters and can clear them with Mid Life Crisis Lois, we had to disable the date action to prevent a different very bad bug where players cannot get Lois out of the coffee shop.

To help alleviate this issue, we’ve changed the quest to read “Have someone join Peter on a Coffee Date” as any date with Handsome Peter should completes the quest, not specifically Lois.

So now you can send anyone to clear the task until issue is resolved. 

UPDATE BUNNY 1245AM EST: Reports from TinyCo of crashing from iOS users linked to Facebook. They are looking into it, so hang tight.

Seeing an increase in reports of unable to send Lois on the Date with Peter. Try a few things first…

1: Make sure Lois is free (Characters will NOT show up for the Date option while in a task).
2: Make sure you are scrolled to Lois and not one of her other Costumes
3: Try to trigger it from the task pop up in the Menu list
4: Try to send her from the Coffee shop, if possible

If all methods tried and still no luck, Contact TinyCo from your game. We reported it already too and will update if hear anything back.

Valentine’s Day Is Here!

Update 2/6 9:15 am EST: I know many of you are having issues with the PDA couples.  They’re rough, I know.  Here’s a tip that many readers have mentioned in the comments & something Bunny & I have found to work as well…Watch the limbs when they stop.  If his leg goes up it’s a heart if her arm goes up it’s a broken heart.   So make sure you’re watching when they STOP.    And I know 2 minutes is rough to watch/tap…best thing to do if you think you need more time is send a request to TinyCo.  We know they listen, so hopefully they’ll make an adjustment if enough people feel it’s needed.  Good Luck!

UPDATE BUNNY: A more detailed post of the Couples is coming up really soon. It really comes down to just watching them. 😉

Also, there’s an update on Arnold below..including WHY you should buy him.
