UPDATE BUNNY 3:00PM EST:
It looks as though there is an issue with some players being able to get Peter to trigger the Exotic Animal task itself (you can still buy animals but the option to get building can’t trigger). I have been in contact with TinyCo and they are currently working on the issue. It seems this happened if players already had Peter on another task, and when they try to collect it kicks them out of the game as it attempts to clear the completed task and trigger the Exotic Animal task both at same time.
This is what the player should see.

Hang in there. Working on a fix. Will update when I hear more back from TinyCo.

Looks like TinyCo dropped a late weekend event on us. This weekend it’s Exotic Animal Weekend!

3 New exotic animals (all premium)…
If you purchase all the animals (175 clams) you’ll unlock a free restaurant that’ll earn wine and seashells.

Hi, I can’t seem to get this deal to trigger. Peter is free, but I’m not getting the quest to show up. I can’t even find the animals in the shop. Any ideas? I am updated to the most current version. I don’t want to miss this!

My mom currently has this deal triggered, so is her game glitched and the deal is actually over already? Or is mine glitched and it’s not triggering?

Sorry for the multiple comments, there doesn’t seem to be an edit function. It appears this is really old and I am mixed up. The deal my mom has includes getting a Flaming Chicken and the REWARD is the Peterdactyl. I’m confused now. I’m also not seeing a post about this specific deal, but I could just be blind.

She’s on the iPhone app, as am I. I’m not seeing anything in those links about the deal she has. It’s asking her to buy the Lawn Tiger, the Flaming Chicken, and the Giant Crab, and if she buys all of them, she gets the Peterdactyl for free.

The quest she has is called “To the Peterdactyl! Limited Time!” and she has 3 days to finish it. She also is also trying to unlock the cow via the Nature Week Part 2 Pinecone thing.

Very odd for it to be triggering. It’s not supposed to be in the game. Sounds like an odd glitch.

Interesting. I wonder if it’s something that’s supposed to happen after Nature Week 2 ends? I have a couple screen caps if you’re interested. Haven’t gotten the little advertisement to pop-up again to screenshot it yet, but I have pics of the quest as well as the animals in the store.

Is anyone else’s game crashing when you go to the friends screen?

It did yesterday, didn’t show any of my friends and then crashed. Wouldn’t let me back in either, but force closing the app seems to have fixed the problem.

Hi! HELP PLEASE SOMEONE!
The app because it was playing up so i went to uninstall it and install it again and then it worked ( got past the loading screen) but its started a new game! Im nt sure how to get my old game back! but when i click on the facebook option it says that my old game ( Level 25) is associated with this facebook, logging in with this id will replace your current save game ( level 1)! So if i click replace account will that log me into my old game or overwrite my old game!

It should replace the Level 1 game. Your Level 25 game is linked to your Facebook and (as of now) there’s no way to replace a game. So you should be safe to overwrite the Level 1 game with the Level 25 game.

Getting a new crash when attempting to visit other players cities now. This started when the weekend exotic animal task appeared twice in the task list, the second from Peter initiating the quest. Ever since I’m crashing upon starting the Stewie multiverse thing. Seems this event has multiple problems.

It seems to be a common crash that’s occurring with a few players now. TinyCo’s working on a fix for it.

Already bought! I put the guardian crab in front of Golddigger Island to keep people away 😀 and the Lawn Tiger fits into Asiatown nicely. Not sure what to do with the Peterdactyl yet. The restaurant will probably be useful when unlocking upcoming characters/ costumes.

From the sounds of it, sounds like a great event if you took advantage of exploits to gain 100s of clams. Otherwise, for all the players who play legitimately it kinda stinks. Got it. Also guess I should try to take advantage of any exploits in the future, as there are obviously no repurcussions of any kind. Noted.

Sorry you feel that way. 😦 Many people playing Freemium since the game started have been able to acquire quite a few clams actually. The game was spitting out a lot during a few periods.
How you play the game is up to you, but there will always be a mix of Freemium and Premium no matter what. You are welcome to make suggestions and voice your opinion to TinyCo on any issue really. They prefer to get feedback from the players. Just contact them from your game menu, help & settings, and let them know your feedback on events such as this. 🙂

I really like the look of that crab so I’m tempted to just get that and save the rest of my clams for some premium characters. I think I got a bit carried away with how much of a saving this is for the peterdactyl but then calmed myself and realised I wasn’t really keen on that in the first place. Do you know if the crab will stay or if it will go up in price after the weekend as I couldn’t see if it’s limited time altogether?

No worries. If we can find an answer to something MANY want to know (us included)…it is good we have the data too. That helps to keep all those people flooding TinyCo for same questions/answers and lets TinyCo focus on other things instead. 😉

This event is the worst. TinyCo are not helping themselves by making nothing but premium events, they already have next to no content in the game so they SHOULD be adding as much freemium stuff as possible for the players who are currently helping getting the game popular. I for one am not buying these cheap-ass clam reduction sales until I get at least one free or coin priced item that actually links to the show in a significant way.

How did people get all these free clams? When i updated i got 55 got cimpleting 3 guys one dog, the girls and quagmires costumes, the inly other one i can possibly complete is lois costumes which i will do today but then just 25 more…. All the other sets have people not avaliable yet in, how did people get 500 or 1500 free clams? Did i miss something here?

Off course! They’re already in place (thanks to Tinycos gap between updating Android and IPhone earlier. I earned more than 1 500 clams for free). Without the free clams I would never have done it.

Somewhere before Asian town there was some glitch I took advantage of. I earned approx 45 clams per hour for a few days. Playing on both Android and Iphone.

This event is quite cool but I’m feeling a little ripped off. Literally a few hours before the event started I bought the peterdactyl for 500 clams to now see It being offered for 100 clams.
I’ve contacted them to see if they will allow to have it at the lower price and refund me 400 clams.

Meh… I’m gonna hold off until I see more on this building before I plunk down clams on these. I no longer need any wine or shells, so if it’s not a gorgeous new building it won’t be arriving in my quahog. Now, if it dropped eyeballs, I’d snatch it up in a second. Now at 6 days of waiting for the last one to drop for the anime Peter costume.

So, I did get the last eyeball (and got amine Peter and tricia). On the heels of that, I went for the animals and fancy restaurant. I think I like the crab best. I bought all three! 🙂 Love their animation and free fancy restaurant looks quite fancy indeed! Peterdactyl alone used to go for 500 clams! Hopefully they offer Crippletron for 100 clams someday! I’ll definitely buy that! 🙂
