Well, we’ve all made it through another “work week” (kinda, sorta, almost) and the weekend looms large up ahead. All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game (those damn eyeballs!) and we wanted to introduce a fun new way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest. So welcome to What the Hell?!
-Getting REALLY annoyed that the last (or first) Eyeball won’t drop?
-Game crash right as you collected that last Headband and then it disappeared?
-Someone cut you off on your commute this morning?

Here’s my What the Hell?! For this week:
-Still working on unlocking Mermaid Peter in my “B” game…and I can’t get that last frakkin Seashell to drop from the ever lovin mother frakkin lighthouse! What the hell?!
-At least 5 times this week when trying to get into my game I’ve gotten smacked in the face with the Consuela screen & locked out. What the hell?!
-And finally…a table fell on my finger last weekend breaking it, while I was trying to do something nice for a family member. Try to do something nice..end up with a broken finger…What the hell?!

WTH: I finally have all the costumes and characters to date.. and then cleveland comes along with ridiculous amounts of items needed to unlock. i hope he isnt a limited edition character, as ill struggle to get all the inner tubes, as im currently at 2/25. other than that, im left with just the clown peter left in the costumes, and theres nothing i can do to unlock him now! i hope they bring that back so i have a chance to get him.

Wth?? I cant seem to get the headband. Been sending lois to do thai jit su endlessly and how many do i get? ONE!!! And then anime brian came and require additional numbers. Still stuck with one.

I can’t get any of the damn seashells. I’ve sent conseula like 15 times for that action and still haven’t gotten a shell. the lighthouse is just as useless I’ve has it for 2 weeks and not one drop.

I know some items take a while. If you feel they are not dropping as they should, my best suggestion is to contact TinyCo directly from your game so they can check to see if there is an issue. Just go through your Menu, Help & Support.

My what the hell is Stewie isn’t in the game yet and the event should have tied in when Cleveland came back into the show.

Well in a perfect would it would have been. But Cleveland came back to the show shortly after the game launched so it would have been impossible considering all of the initial launch bugs and glitches.
As far as Stewie goes..he’s coming. Patience. 🙂

The GD Lois black & white headband. Bane of my existence.
I would also like to WTH about pee pants costume. I did not realize that there was a time limit. I could have played more, I think, but I still don’t see how it was possible to get him in that small time frame. Since I can’t get him till there’s a re release, if ever, can we please move him to the back of the list? I loathe having to scroll over him, with the mocking messages every time I take inventory…

love this game and i like the hard drop rates cuz once you get the items you need itslike winning a good hand of poker,
only 3 suggestions id love to see
#1 we are able to turn the buildings backwards and also
#2 we have a pavement option in the store to make walkways up to buildings and make alleyways( diffrent types of pavement) …… and finally
#3 that we are able to place cars on the streets, lightpoles, stop signs, traffic lights etd on sidewalks and place water items farther out into the water…..,

yeah i finally got my second eyeball after days of sending 2 characters nonstop into the task to get them. how long is this going to take? beyond that i kind of think the game progress works faster for getting stuff than the simpsons which is nice. however my main gripe is having friends. i am not adding total strangers to my facebook nor am i pressuring my friends to join the game. they need to allow you to add people like tapped out.

I use this game to stave off boredom during TSTO down times. What the actual HELL?!!?
Also allow me to place my island in the ocean. It’s an island; a small body of land that is surrounded by water. I’ve never seen an island on land, mostly because land isn’t water that can surround an island.

1) WTH!…I will now literally kill someone if it meant getting a headband…(Ok….that might be a joke…lol…or is it)
2) WTH!…I totally agree with this statement made by Leehughes1701e in comments earlier, “I emailed TC ingame and I got a response. That had nothing to do with my question.”
I sent a question about a problem I’m having and the Help Desk’s response was a bit of a WTH! moment. I just sent a more thorough explanation. We’ll see what response I get this time. Is this help area still “in house” or have you outsourced?
Here is my game ID, read the help thread of my account from yesterday’s question to this mornings reply to get an idea why I called it a WTH! moment. Thanks Matt.
3) WTH!…The “Barrington Country Club” still has the image layering glitch on the side of the building. I reported this, in game, several updates ago.
4) WTH!…THE Matt F. Of TinyCo visits us (awesome by the way), but doesn’t use his “Matt in the Hat” avatar.😜

We’re still in-house, and we’re growing the team! A new member starts on Monday, in fact. He’s bringing pie.
In the past 2 weeks we’ve had higher Support volume than normal. Because of this, the backlog is about twice the level it’s supposed to be. When volume is high, we need to resort to more bulk replies than normal, because this lets us wade through the current batch of issues and then narrow down to more specific issues that need direct help. We want to be CONSTANTLY improving our answer quality, but if you got one that’s not up to snuff, definitely let us know.
The good news is, several of the highest-volume issues were fixed in 1.0.10, and we have made tons of progress on the rest. Much of this is thanks to the Familyguyaddicts community helping us troubleshoot and spread info about fixes.

I need 3 freaking eyeballs and a bandanna! Been working at it for over a week to get Anime Peter and unlock Tricia, but no hope. Not a single one all week! What the hell guys!?
Then the new update falls… And NOTHING! Still can’t unlock squat and still have nothing new showing up!
Get it together developers and allow people to proceed in the game! It’s frustrating after this long to gain some land and money with nothing else to show

WTH Price of clams to real currency ratio is set too high for the average player of the game. Like I posted on the Facebook group, there needs to at least be a sale giving 50% more clams.
WTH A golden Peter statue for 1000 clams?! I can give you $20 bucks for 600 clams and only be about half way to buying that – WTH! Mostly just the hackers have that item, so right now it just serves as a red flag for that being a possibility.
WTH Add pavement so everything doesn’t have to be placed on grass.
WTH Bring Gold Suit Peter outfit and pool to android.
WTH Joe STILL looks like a black box when not on task for android users.
WTH Put in a character finder.
WTH Add the ability to stop a character’s task with no payout as an alternate to speeding up with clams.
WTH Why can I only have 1 lawn chair, thrift shop, etc. etc. Buildings that come with characters and buildings that drop items should be the only unique items.
WTH Might as well bring everything that was in the beta into the game.
WTH despite little mistakes, Tiny Co. deserves a tremendous amount of credit for everything that they have done. Actually talking to and being a part of the community of players. Listening to the community and making changes. The animation on Al Harrington’s is a great example of that, and it looks awesome now. I get so sick of reading all the crying about the same exact thing over, and over, and over… I can’t imagine how some of them must feel, knowing they read much more than I do. So once again, props to Tiny Co. you guys are handling things well and doing a great job.

No we don’t have sidewalks just roads and it’s a bummer. It would look so much better with sidewalks. Our hedges don’t match up either so they look like crap.

Where do I begin?
1) I put my characters on 4 hour tasks, set alarms, restart them timely from 5am until 10 or 11pm every day, yet still can’t bank enough cash, just barely to $30,000 for my Android and ios games;
2) I don’t have all the land unlocked yet (see #1) and finally stopped trying so I could save coins for the future event. I still have one piece in the Asian district to unlock and all the northwest Quahog area to unlock in each game. It is just way too expensive given the low payouts, WTH!;
3) TinyCo…please allow us to add friends NOT using FB!! WTH!;
4)The suspense for the new update is frustrating…and frankly, the only things that should be suspenseful are Charlie Chan, Alfred Hitchcock and Vincent Price movies. TinyCo, there was a meeting and a memo, let us play and have fun!;
5) I too am still looking for the droids … and once I find them, they will be the ones dealing with lying doctors, conniving lawyers, and their slothful clients who get free money sitting at home watching soaps all day, What the hell!#%*!;
6) Hugs to Bunny, Kisses to Alissa, keep up the amazing work…
What the Hell!! I’m moving the clock forward until its 5pm in Quahog…and heading to the Clam!

If I cannot dissuade, then please allow me to humbly persuade. If a murder mystery event (such as in the episode where Diane was killed off) is in the cards down the line, may I refer you to The Thin Man series circa 1930s. Peter Griffin as detective Nick Charles, who is always looking for a drink and getting into trouble. Lois Griffin as Nora Charles, Nick’s beautiful young wife who is full of banter. Joe Swanson as the loudmouth, hotheaded Lt. Abrams. And Brian the dog, as Asta. Even the lucky folks who saw these films in the theater would wish that Asta could talk like Brian. The Family Guy characters are tailor-made for raunchy reset of this brilliant and witty series.
That being said, I am going to send my characters on tasks, pour Alissa and Bunny a margarita, raise a toast to TinyCo for making this fun game possible, and push play on some classic entertainment. Cheers!

I’ve been putting my guys on hour long tasks and haven’t been that diligent about checking in every hour. I’ve got all the land and buildings in the game plus a Lincoln statue and 100000+ coins atm. Don’t forget that shared tasks earn more than two individuals.
It seems really strange that you aren’t getting as much cash when I’m hardly tapping that much faster than you… Maybe the difference is bigger than it feels in my head.

You’ve just got to keep reinvesting. Any of the restaurants and the cheaper offices will pay for themselves in a week, and then it’s pure profit. And you can throw the roads, the ballpark, & the swimming pool into storage until you can free up more space.

I wish there was a way to easily locate characters (similar to TSTO). Sometimes it’s hard to find characters or remember who isn’t on a task. I’m always losing Brian behind buildings. I’ve unlocked everything character and costume wise, except for the premium characters.

For the past few days there’s nothing going on in my game. I just keep sending everyone on 12h tasks and see my currency build up (currently 77k). All free buildings are bought. All land is unlocked and cleared. All costumes of all characters are unlocked. Can’t say that I’m not slightly bored already. And no, nothing speed up or unlocked with clams (except for Consuela, Jake and the horse).

Bug: After doing the iOS update now, when I visit a neighbor and then return to my town, houses that have coins ready to be collected don’t show the coins over the house. I can still tap on the house and XP and coins will come out, but it doesn’t regenerate the coin image over the house. Even if I don’t tap on the coin over the ready house and then visit a neighbor and come back, the coin will have disappeared. I contacted tiny co about this, but anyone else who experiences this should too.

Thank you! This is a known issue and we’re already working on a fix. It’ll be out on Android very soon, and on iOS later once it gets approved. We’re dedicating a quick hotfix to just this and a few minor issues.
The good news is, it doesn’t change any coin totals or collections – it’s just a visual error.

As far as the title..yup there are a LOT of titles this could be called lol. However, the What The Hell refers to the running gag in Family Guy where in every single episode at least one character says “What the Hell…” I thought it’d be a fun poke and reference to the show 🙂

Love this section. Here we go…
1) I’ve maxed out Bonnie so she’s stuck at level 15 and the only reason Chris isn’t there as well yet is cos I’m using him on the one hour task with Brian to level Brian up faster. Why limit character progression? Bonnie is now on tasks and not earning XP. I emailed TC ingame and I got a response. That had nothing to do with my question. I asked them if there’s any plans to increase the limit from 15 or if they would consider doing so, and got back a random answer telling me they were aware of a glitch when we select Peter. WTH?
2) Stewie. I understand from a marketing point of view they want to hold him back to keep us all playing longer and keep the game fresh, but an ETA on when we’re getting the most popular character would be nice. WHY the hell won’t they throw us a bone on when we can have him???
3) Eyeballs and head bands. That is all.
4) My job. Actually, this post is already too long so I won’t go into the WTH of that…
5) Not being able to find the droids I want 😀

Aside from the damn eyeballs, which are ruining everything for me considering I can’t get Anime Peter and I can’t unlock Trisha, I’m unable to get the update either! WTH. I’m afraid to uninstall the app and lose everything. I do get the Kingdom of the Full Moon screen, but not the new load screen. And there is no option for me to update my game in the app store. Seems I’m not the only one with these issues.. misery loves company I suppose…

I’ve spent WAAAAY too much real money on TSTO, but will not spend a dime on FG:TQFS until you offer an alternative to Facebook.

I already posted this on another thread, but since this one is dedicated to gripes I’m re-posting it here. What the Hell?! 1) unable to invite friends without connecting the game to FB (which I don’t want to do for privacy reasons) & 2) the limited amount of time you’re given to unlock special characters — I have everyone except for Pee Pants because my clowns NEVER regenerated and I was unaware that there was a time clock working against me. I sure hope they extend the time to obtain future special characters and re-offer the ability to obtain Pee Pants within game play. I’m sure not going to shell out 705 clams for him.

I feel there’s been a big ol’ miscommunication from Tiny Co. but that limited time is the entire point. In order to get the costume, you had to get it during the limited time it was available. Complaining about that fact seems mad.
Your complaint about bug is totally valid though and it sucks that that’s why you couldn’t get the costume. They’ve said that there’ll be a chance down the line so I think patience is required. I can understand why they don’t just want to give out the costume and devalue it completely. Maybe you should have messaged them and told them about the bugs preventing you from getting the costume? It seems very unfair.

I’m very happy to be patient; that’s how I was able to obtain all of the other costumes that needed the epically rare items. My only point was what seemed to be a failure on their part to adequately inform me/us of the active countdown. I patiently look forward to the clowns (et al) reappearing. And this is the “What the Hell?!” thread after all, so I feel that my Angry Chicken madness is quite appropriate. Buckaw!

Since the Circus was our first event, we had a looooooot of very good feedback that we incorporated into the one about to release. One of those bits of feedback was a request for explicit timers.
I can go ahead and confirm that the Kingdom of the Full Moon event has timers out the… well, you know.

Got every character and costume unlocked. The eyeballs were frustrating, but once you finally get the last one, it is quite rewarding! I have had each and every character finish their task and nothing starts off the new quests that the update describes. What the hell! Was excited when the update popped up in the App Store, but so far, nothing is new. Feel Free to Add me on facebook.

We’re currently digging into crash reports while visiting the multiverse. Social visiting is already a very memory-intensive process, so that’s why crashes pop up most often there. If you get a rare item, we recommend minimizing the game (which triggers a save) before using social 🙂

I understand why people have been getting annoyed with the eyeballs since I did struggle with them but I don’t want the game to get too easy either or it will just get boring as now I am up to date and have no tasks to do so don’t always want to just be waiting for the next update.
I think that it should get harder as times goes on but maybe just having to collect even more of the rare items so that at least you feel like you are getting somewhere when you collect anything but you still have a bit to go.
These epic items just feel like you are getting nowhere.
Also I have just had to spend most of the day packing folders into boxes at work to move to some new desks about 30 feet away! What the hell!!! 🙂

What the hell! Still have no eyeballs…Very few headbands. Characters are non stop on the tasks, checking 4-6 times a day. What is the point making them so rare? This way you hardly see the characters doing their other tasks…. Please change these!

Done the herbert action “Declare love for chris” No CD’S have dropped and i have done it atleast 5 times now. What the hell!
