Hello There Clammers!
Looks like TinyCo seems to have little concern for those who like to sleep and seems to like to release updates late at night on a Friday/Saturday. (There’s another WTH moment for you) In any event the Kingdom of the Full Moon update is live on your devices! Go ahead a tap your way into Quahog to see what all the fuss is about!
Just going through the update myself so more details in a minute or two. For now, if you’re on Android you may see this hit your games:
Just do as it says and when you reload you’ll have all the goodies! More coming very soon….

When you first get into your town you’ll notice a HUGE Pyramid Quahog (And yes you get more land). Then Peter will popup with some dialog:
Last Night, At the Museum Pt. 1
Peter: Holy crap, Cleveland came to town last night and we got wasted. I don’t remember anything. I have to find him and find out what the hell happened. Where the hell did this pyramid come from? I wonder if it’s got anything to do with that Egyptian tomb a desecrated at the museum last night.
Explore the Event Menu to start your Adventure!
The event will last just over 31 and a half days.
Last Night, at the Museum Pt. 2
Make Peter Surf the Bird 3 times- 1m each. Will drop 1 idol each time.
Collect 10 Moon Idols
Completed Task Earns 50 Idols and 130xp
The “booty” in this case is moon idols (literally a naked gold butt) are the new currency for this event. You collect idols to buy new items for your town.
Character tasks will now earn you idols, in addition to cash. (but not all characters) If you have Mermaid Peter he’ll drop 2x the amount of Idols you’d normally earn. Also, S&M Lois will drop 2x the amount of idols. Goth Chris 2x the amount of idols as well.
Right off the bat you’ll earn 50 idols, mostly for going through the menu screens.
Completing the first task should earn you the first prize.
Last Night, at the Museum Pt. 3
Repair the Museum– 200 idols and 8hrs
Repairing the museum unlocks Cleveland
Completed task earns 50 idols and 195xp
You’ll need to help Cleveland, he’s stuck in quicksand. So naturally you’ll have to collect stuff (and it’s not going to be easy). Here’s what he needs:
40 Canteens
25 Inner Tubes
5 Bathtubs
3000 Moon Idols
1 Whip
To earn the Whip you’ll need Adventure Peter. Details on him are below.
Last Night, at the Museum Pt 4
Create Adventure Peter at Al Harrington’s To create here’s what’s required:
1250-Idols
25-Snakes
10- Pistols
10-Whips
You’l also discover that the pyramid will take 7d 14hrs to finish building (ouch that’s a lotta time!). And no you can’t speed it up….
As far as the Treasures here’s what you can buy with Idols:
Royal Cat Statue- 100 Points. (will earn you cash. $10, 5xp every hr)
Bronze Adventure Trophy- 750 Points
25 Clams- 2000 Points
Stewie Sphinx- 5000 Points
Hot and Gassy!- 11,000 Points
Silver Adventure Trophy- 18,000 Points
Now for the stuff you can BUY (you’ll find these in your Quahog store):
Small Magma Shrine- 75 Clams. This Drops idols (3/hr… 6 idols & 15XP every 2hrs )
Medium Magma Shrine- 200 Clams. This also Drops idols (12/hr… 50 idols & 20XP every 4hrs)
Large Magma Shrine- 400 Clams. Even more idols drop from this (31/hr… 250 idols & 30XP every 8hrs)
Baby Palm Tree- 250 Idols
Bubbling Lava Fence – 150 Idols
Tiki Torch – 250 Idols
Crown Canopy Tree- 500 idols
Exotic Snack Stall- 25 Clams. Drops Snakes. (20$ & 15XP every 2hrs)
Adventurer’s Bazaar- 100 Clams. Drops Guns. (30$ & 20XP every 4hrs)
Antiquities Bazaar- 150 Clams. Drops Whips. (45$ & 30XP every 8hrs)
Evil Monkey Statue- 10,000 Idols
Desert Oasis- 15,000 Idols
Lotus Pond- 20,000 Idols.

Seeing people with 20,000 clams that they obviously dint buy, having a huge advantage over everybody else (unlocking everything and outright buying items), discourages the honest players.
It is discouraging and makes me not want to spend money on this game at all

I think personally, not many would hack the game if clams were put out more often. Seriously, events with 150 clams or so needed for the memorial day crab event is almost impossible if you spent them on other buildings needing clams. $100 for about 4,000 clams is can we say is silly, more so when many just play the games to escape from the reality that they are struggling with money. I understand everyone is in it for money. But real money like that for a virtual game is crazy just to keep up. Think if the company lowered prices, it would be hacked less.. Not 100%, but a lot less. Simpsons tapped out is the same way. Extreme amounts of real money for doughnuts.
Comparing the two though. Family guy is a smoother game. But after this last update iPad 1’s seem to be crashing

Great information. I like seeing feedback from other players. My best suggestion on this is tell TinyCo. Tell them how you feel on their game and the ins and outs. Send them constructive feedback. Whether email or right from your game. It helps to improve the game for all of us when we are vocal in a constructive way. 😉

Wow. I don’t think I am going to get very far with this. I had a difficult time before, and was nearly ready to quit playing. I cannot afford to pay money for anything, and it is practically impossible unless you do.

Error processing purchase BM CPH 08
I got this when trying to buy clams. I have $35 on my google play account. Can someone help me?! I want to be able to buy all the Egyptian stuff before the time runs out.

Ok first of all…relax. Take a deep breath. You have 30 more days left in the event. You have plenty of time to collect/buy everything. So don’t panic. 🙂
Second, how many clams are you trying to buy? You have to have more than enough of a credit in your account in order to purchase clams (to cover tax). You can’t pay part on google play credit and part with another method. With Google Play it has to be all on one account/option. If you’re still getting the error, contact TinyCo. They’ll be more than happy to assist you when it comes to clams. But keep in mind…it is the weekend, so you may not get a response immediately.

At first i tried the 25 one then the 10 to see if it made a difference (i have 35). All from the same google credit on my account. I wil try and contact them, thank you!

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE UPDATE:
1. After the 31 days will Cleveland still be available to unlock?
2. Also will we be able to keep the museum after 31 days? I’ve unlocked it and tried moving it but it will not move.
3. Will the plot containing the pyramid and museum be available to use after 31 days or will they just disappear? And does that mean that both pyramid and museum cannot be kept?

As the event just started, we do not know what will transpire at the end. That will be completely up to TinyCo to decide the availability of items after the event is done.

Pro tip! The Barrington Country club also has a chance of dropping the pistol. So far it’s the only building I’ve found that drops a quest item (though I’ve yet to unlock Cleveland so that may change).

Did anyone elses timers go down by about a day in the past hour. Now my event timer say 30 day and something hours and the pyramid says 6 days and something hours. It definelty didnt go down two hours like i left it. It went downby about 20 hours for me…

The event is 31 days the pyramid is a separate thing. Something will happen with the pyramid in 7 days.

I agree…or at the very least the library. But I think it has more to do with the lower level players having the task available to them as well.

That’s a pretty weak counterpoint. Quagmire is the 4th character unlocked. The 5th is Jerome who has to be the easiest character to unlock in the game (I don’t want to say it only took me an hour, but I’m sure it didn’t take me a whole day). And you wouldn’t have to unlock Mort, the 6th character in the game, just to use the pharmacy (build time 4 hours). I’m sure Peter gets busy with a few other quests in between all that, but it’s really not that much of a gap.

I see that S & M Lois gets 2X the amount of idols but no other Lois outfit gets any idols. So is it 2X zero or is my game glitched?

Nope Lois will earn 2x what the other characters earn in idols. Only characters from Districts 1 and 2 will generate idols 🙂

When I started playing this game I was quite excited and found it to be a lot of fun. Now, after waiting a week with no quest lines, no land to clear, nothing to do really, and then having an event launch where idols seem like they will be painfully slow to collect, and the overwhelming emphasis is on premium content, I am a little disappointed to say the least.

Not sure what you mean by overwhelming emphasis on premium content. You can earn idols by sending non-premium characters on tasks. Yes…there are a few items that generate idols that are premium. But that’s a benefit to buying premium, they’ve got to have some benefit to it to make people spend the money.

So far I can’t say I am all that excited with this event. A lot of premium content, The length of time it will take to collect idols seems like it will be slow going. All that money I saved up before the event won’t even matter it seems. And only 25 clams up for grabs?
That compounded with the fact that I had no new quest lines, or land to clear, or anything to do in the week leading up to it. I was excited when this first came out but I am finding my interest dwindling at this point.

Do you think they will add any decorations/buildings that cost coins? Since I’m still obtaining coins, I feel like going on a land buying spree. Just trying to be cautious.

Once you’ve completed the totorial, there will be a little box with 3×3 squares in it along the row containing face space, etc. if you click that and go to settings ( I think) it lets you log in there. 🙂

Yeah, I think TinyCo sent out the push notice about the update and enough people tried to log on at once that it crashed the server for a little while. If they aren’t staggering the push notices that would be a bit of a goof….

So… I haven’t been able to log into game since update. AT ALL. It finally seemed to load once but got Peter telling me to reload. Have. NOT. Been. On. Game. Since!!! Been trying & trying to log on. Over & over. I got stuff to do today!! Will not load. If I miss this event bc their servers are over-loaded, I’m not gonna be happy. I have been waiting for this, I play everyday & have spent money with their company. Can’t even log on to send message. I have restarted tablet 1000 times & keep trying to get in, but no. OMG, I’m gonna die.

Can someone explain the difference between a trophy and a Idol? The golden butt is the idol and the trophy is what you get from doing character tasks and use that to unlock the prizes? Is one more important than another and how do you get each?

The idols will accumulate, thus earning you the trophies (you don’t have to spend idols to get trophies). However, anything that costs idols (items) will take idols away. Basically the idol total at the top (by the cash) will go up and down depending on how you’re doing in the game and what you buy, but the trophy total (bottom right) will only go up.
We’ll have a post going over everything a little later. 🙂

Tinyco really listened to its players when most of us said the previous events were too short! I also appreciate the unique items and the fact that not everything is premium like last time. It was a pleasant surprise to see this update last night and Im sure I will really enjoy it

I have a feeling I won’t get very far in this event. I’m leaving to go to camp for a week starting tomorrow, and I won’t be back until Friday. I’ll have no access to Internet, so I’m gonna miss out on a week of collecting moon idols.

I don’t quite get the prizes so do I use Trophies to buy things or idols since it doesn’t appear to reset the count on trophies but the idol count resets after using them? So does that mean if I use idols to buy other things that I would have to get another round of idols to pass the current cap of trophies? For example I cap the Trophy count at 200 but use 200 idols to repair the museum, would I need another 200 to start the count again to move it past 200?

I have £1.50 in my Google rewards account and tried to buy some clams. It took the money straight out of my bank instead of using my free credit. Is it possible to use your Google rewards credit for clams or not

In Google you have to have exact or more than enough on credit to use it. If you have less it’ll automatically pull from your account. So if you have 5 credit and want to get something that’s 10, it’ll charge you 10 and the credit will stay.

Woo hoo! Another Tiny C.O. update, another bug for me!
My buildings and characters have no completion icons – I just randomly tap around and bang(!) something appears. And now my game randomly quits and resets me to an earlier state. This especially happens when I try to collect the cat statue.
Of course, I get the bad bugs – no free item glitch for me.

Update: Reinstall and reboot, and the icons re-appeared, and the cat statue doesn’t crash the game anymore.

😦 the icon glitch is known. They are working on it, but they should come back after you minimize and go back into your game.
The reset thing is new. I’m annoyed that they released it at midnight on Friday because now it’s the weekend and I’m sure it’s a skeleton crew.
On the plus side you should be getting something to put you in a better mood in the mail today (I hope) 🙂

When you have enough idols for a prize do you lose the idols when you claim the prize or do you keep the idols?

It takes them when you “claim” an item. So be careful. May wanna unlock museum first.

Not seeing a huge issue here. The snakes are going to take a while cos there are so many, but the pistols/whips aren’t so bad. They’re only rare (or is that uncommon) and i find these drop 2/3rds of the time. The idols for it are going to take a while though. Most of the early characters get involved. Mort, tricia, herbert, connie and oddly, joe are useless which is a shame, would have thought joe would net me guns as well.
Bit of time, and we have a month. I don’t expect to earn EVERYTHING but as long as i get cleveland, the peter costume and any free buildings that actually pay out i’m happy. Not one for excessive decorations.
Also, remember, this is a freemium game, if you want extra clams you can always buy them, otherwise you take the slow route like me, the gradual earning of them through visiting neighbours and collecting sets.

I don’t get the length of the event is it a month or a week…I see a timer got a week and then the one for a month?
Is it worth using clams to get the shrines or should I just wait…I’m thinking having Peter do his minute action gets you 1 so technically 60 an hour, but having to keep constant watch sounds annoying. Any other strategies that you guys are using?

The pyramid is sitting on the new land. The timer is counting down for when the pyramid unlocks. Each week new items will join the game.

Hey there, I also took advantage of the free items glitch before I updated. I thought it was weird they were giving these things away for free. So did a little re modelling, then updated and saw the actual price of the items and almost fainted. I find it takes ages to earn coin in this game, there’s no way I would of been able to afford those items, so happy to have em, just wished I’d really stocked up! Free items were Monkey statue, desert oasis, lotus pond, baby palm trees, canopy tree, tiki torch, lava fence.

Wow…logged in and saw the “event” has started. I’m already liking it. Spent a few clams on items to help build the “butt” count. Hope this doesn’t turn into an “E” event headache like in another game.😜

I got a feeling this is gonna be way better. There’s no stupid boxes! By the way, right when the event hit you could get 15 idols for 3 taps when visiting a friend. Shortly after they removed it, will have to wait to see what they do with that.

There’s a weird glitch in this before updating. Got free desert oasis, evil monkey statue, lotus pond, tiki torch, baby palm, crown canopy tree. As much as I wanted. Was like, wow! Best game ever! Made a neat little area. Now after update, I see the prices… And have to wait until current jobs are done to start. But, head start for me there!

Very very very cool update! Couldn’t help but shell out some clams on a sweet new Large Magma Shrine (250 butts/30xp every 8 hours and gives you a HUGE flame when you tap it) and an Adventurer’s Bazaar (which is visually underwhelming, but I bought it since it looks like pistols will be harder to come by than snakes or lassos over the next few days). The Adventurer’s Bazaar drops $30/20xp/and a pistol chance every 4 hrs. I am resolute in staying up tonight long enough to begin the 8 hr Egyptian Museum unlock. Bring on CLEVELAND!

I don’t like that you need a lot of clams for this. I fear that I won’t get Cleveland at the end of this. Not happy with this challenge. Doesn’t seem attainable unless you spend real money to purchase clams.
