Hello There Clammers!
Looks like the late night updates continue…either that or someone pushed the “red button” a little too early…in either case if you play on iOS head to your App Store and download the latest version of TQFS….
As always more details as I work through the game…and wake myself up (it is nearly 2 am here)..
So…I’ve gone through the update (as have many of you) and at the moment…nothing is new.
It appears as if someone did in fact press the “red button” too early OR this is similar to what happened when they rolled out Full Moon. It hit Android devices but didn’t trigger until Apple had the download (which, if I remember correctly, was close to a week).
In any event…I’ll keep checking and seeing if I see anything new pop up in the game via iOS…but for now it’s nearly 2:30 am…this is my 3rd game update of the day…I’m going to bed.
Update: Just after 7am on the East Coast of the US the event has officially started for iOS players. Details will be coming shortly……

Ok i’ve FINALLY been able to go through the game and check things out…rundown is below the fold.
Update: 1:30 PM EDT… I’ve added a lot of info below, including a glitch report from TinyCo about known glitches that they’re working on. I still have to finish playing through everything myself to get the rest of the details. This is as updated as it’s going to get for now…right now I’ve gotta actually work, work. More as I can get some time to go through it…

This will run similar to the Full Moon Event….as of right not there are 46 days 9 hrs 15m left in the the event. So it should end around September 9th….
Here’s the Event Details from the Game itself…. 
The new event currency for this one is Blam! Energy Drinks. You collect them, just like you did the butts. They’ll look like this:
In the same area of your Quahog where the Pyramid was you’ll see the ComicCon Event. Convention Center and a few other buildings. You’ll have to collect Blam! in order to unlock these.

Convention Center (Center)- 1,000 Blam!, 16hrs to build/repair/unlock.
“Q” (Left)- 350 Blam!, 8hrs to build/repair/unlock.

-Quahog is overrun with Sweaty Nerds from Con…you’ll have to zap them (tap on them) to make them disappear and earn more Blam!

Looks like the construction image is appearing randomly in the playspace sometimes. It’s just a visual bug.Event District Bugs
– if a player on the Comic Con event visits a friend that’s still on the Peter Griffin and the Kingdom of the Full Moon event, their Blam will change to Moon idols. This should not affect their total or progress in the game. It’s simply the wrong asset that’s loading. We’re working on this too!
Just to clarify, you’re not suppose to get Blam from visiting friends, but if you visit a friend who’s still on the Adventure event, when you return to your original Quahog, your Blam may appear as Moon Idols now.

If so that is crappy from tiny co to dangle something then take it away. Think that this event should’ve been put back S most people are still working on unlocking stewie.

For the post part yes, Rupert is gone…for now.
They extended it the extra day, but advised it wouldn’t be a full 24hrs (they told us 9pm PDT)…so anything extra was a bonus with it. We posted the time change on this post here:

I’m playing on my iPad. I updated the app about 4 hours ago and now I am seeing the comic con event in my game. There are lots of Spocks to zap and you earn cans of something or other – I forget. So far it looks very similar to the full moon event in playing terms.

It has dropped. You zap needs now. It’s much like the mummy event. It dropped just as I had to leave for work. I won’t have much time to plsy and collect cans 😦

The alternate outfits aren’t up in Al’s yet, but the rest is up. Unfortunately, the tea party event was gone when I went to collect my box. The glitch that people use to cheat has never worked for me, and of course Rupert was my remaining prize, so that means I got gypped out of him. Really bummed about that, since I deliberately used clams last night to speed up actions to ensure I would have boxes today.

I live in Australia and I just updated and I have new buildings in the space where the Pyramid was in the Full Moon update… There’s a new currency as well…

Hey guys, I updated my game shortly after 7am EST and the update is now live! I’m checking out all the new stuff as I write this. First impression: it is similar to the Kingdom Event because there is an event only currency (giving players the opportunity to save up tons of coins for the expensive buildings and land that came with District 9), there are prizes once you collect a certain amount of event currency, there are premium buildings that will drop currency and items needed for characters, and instead of mummies, you click on nerds to get event currency.
It seems that TinyCo has listened to players to improve the event. Its 46 days long (by the time it ends I’ll be back at uni… Yikes!), which will give people a better chance at collecting all the prizes and unlock Stewie so you can get his costume, AND there are some premium item dropping buildings available for the low price of only 25 clams!
One bad thing I’m noticing, however, is that not very many players collect Blam! and the ones that do only collect a small amount, even on long tasks. Right now it seems that the easiest way to earn it is to have Peter surf the bird a million times lol But knowing TC they’ll probably introduce easier ways to earn Blam! throughout the event.

I think you may be right about hitting big red button early. I started my game this morning and from what I can see my loading screen didn’t change but I got a qwest for Rupert (4 hr one ) and I could not visit any neighbors, kept saying I needed to upgrade, which I tried no update available in play store but I was able to visit Ollie to atleast get my 1 clam.

Yep, I haven’t had any real issues but I did notice that the Blam cans were showing up as the moon idols for a while, which is really just a very minor glitch. It’s since been fixed but it is kinda cool to see how they’re using some of the elements from the last event.

It started for me. Not sure how spoiler free people want me to be here… Already completed 5 tasks, rebuilding first required building and the character linked to it is awesome..

Okay if I keep exploring through the inventory list and that character list and stuff for this event I have found several people but she people that I’ve read were supposed be part of this update I’m not seeing listed anywhere within the update that is Bryan Cranston and Nathan Fillion

Event started for me, about 7 am in Toronto. Gotta say so far I like it. Peter kicks it off and of course only certain characters earn Blam! energy drinks. Blam! is the currency for this event earned by beaming (tapping) up Trekkies and tasks. It is strange that iOS players get an extra week but hey I’ll take it.

I got the update. The first thing you do is tap nerds and build a clam enterprise which unlocks Patrick Stuart. It looks like there is going to be a lot of new costumes, buildings and celebrities. It follows a similar format to the full moon event and finishes in 46 days

Okay from what I can tell from the little bit of exploring I’ve done with the update without fast forwarding anything because I don’t have money for clams Patrick Stewart unlocks when you repair the Clamosphere and George Takie is the last prize of the event for collecting blam

Maybe it’s my device but for a while inebriated Peter appeared again in my costume store to collect and now it’s disappeared 😦
I’m able to collect comicon batteries (I’ve got 52) now and fulfil a few quests.

I just sent this to TinyCo. I hope it gets implemented.
“Just a suggestion. Instead of “rare”, “extra rare”, etc., how about just using the time of the tasks as the defining factor for which a drop would correlate, (i.e., always – 1 hour, common – 2 hour, extra rare – 1 day, etc.) and have items always drop BUT just increase the numbers accordingly.
That way, a 12 hour task done 2 times with no drop won’t get all of us upset. If it always dropped (but albeit 13 items needed with 12 hour tasks, 30 needed with 4 hour tasks, etc. then it’s more about how much/often you play and keep up with resetting the characters/tasks.
A casual player may only be able to log in once a day, but a dedicated player logs in 5 times a day, yes, the latter may unlock something faster, but it’s in relation to time and effort, not chance.
I know I’d much rather know that as long as I played diligently I can unlock a character mathematically by X time or day, as long as I reset the tasks and completed them back to back. But if I played less, of course it would take longer but that is on me, since I’m not playing 24/7.
Does that make sense?
Just sending a possibility for future improvements, as I’m a very loyal player and (except for not getting the Fart of the Covenant – which I’m still very upset I never obtained), I work hard to complete tasks and events in full, because I truly enjoy this game.
Ok, this has become an essay rather than a comment, sorry, but it would be a great thing to possibly take this change into consideration as I feel it would enhance the enjoyment, and not keep a majority of us tapping a completed task to see … no dropped item, again and again. It would just be better to always drop, but make the number needed be the increase if desired and the “difficulty” of said item just be that it needs the longer timed task.

Some changes discovered. Instead of level 50 it now says Max.
In Facespace there’s some layout changes, f e it says new characters where King Butt is, and New skins for The line of costumes where you find 80’s Cleveland, Goth Chris etc.

I have a feeling that the celebrity characters will be visitors and not buyable/unlockable. Just a feeling! I hope I am totally wrong about it because Bryan Cranston as a playable character would be beyond EPIC!!

Update is live now and it looks like all characters will unlock during the game, no sign of premium purchases for characters so far.

I think it’ll trickle in within the next day or so, but it’s entirely possible that it’s kinda a placeholder until it is available on Android/Kindle. In the past, there were complaints how iOS updates were almost an entire weekend apart. TinyCo also likes asking for feedback when updates are pushed.
Somewhat strange, but they only confirmed that it will be in the iOS store first. One would figure you would load content as well 😛

I’m sitting here thinking… What do I do in the meantime, so I send my people on tasks or wait it out just in case it trickles in?? I have a few characters that need 12 hour tasks to compete things but I have been holding out..:/

Just updated the app, there is no change as yet.. everything so far looks the same besides the loading screen. Guess Tiny Co are gona make Alissa stay up for a bit … hope you (Alissa) have got coffee 🙂

My level 50 now reads MAX, and they’ve added a title to the facespace group for King Butt’s character (New Characters). That says to me that the new Comicon characters will be playable

What happens if I play on two devices, tinyco hasn’t said anything?

If you play on both iOS and Android you can go across both devices unless there’s a newer version on one device and not the other. If that happens you’ll be locked out of the device with the lower version, until it starts back up.

It seems like TC listens to you gals/guy. Do you think you would be able to convince them to have a sale on their clams like their other games? Or a clam generator would be very nice. I am very much interested in spending some money and supporting the game, but to be honest, looking at the cost of the clams and comparing them to what premium items get, they are waaaayyy overpriced. Specially on how fast they release these items. They tend to be obsolete pretty fast.
P.S. These part is just something I had to vent out on with regards to the same matter. They have this one quest where you buy $4.99 worth of coins and they supposedly give you the same value in clams. ARE THEY F*****G INSULTING PEOPLE’S INTELLIGENCE!?! You are practically paying for the clams itself. I could easily get those coins in a day. Please tell them that the next time they offer a deal, to make sure it is actually a deal and not a sham.

Currently they have a 1 one get 1 sale on clams. I know it says coins/clams in the task bar but if you buy clams you’ll get the same amount for free. So 2 for the price of 1 🙂

It should work on the larger amounts. I did not get a chance to test it on a $100 purchase, but I know it works on $50 and $20 (at least it did during the full moon event)

My game has updated and the event has started. It’s the same premise as the Kingdom of the Full Moon event with ‘energy drinks’ replacing ‘moon idols’ that unlock rewards etc in much the same way!
There’s a Comic Con ‘event area’ like where the pyramid was in the previous event with multiple buildings to be repaired this time.
According to the countdown on my game the event lasts 46 days.
I’ll await your full update as you guys always get to grips with the events quickly!
