Hello There Clammers!
Looks like the late night updates continue…either that or someone pushed the “red button” a little too early…in either case if you play on iOS head to your App Store and download the latest version of TQFS….
As always more details as I work through the game…and wake myself up (it is nearly 2 am here)..
So…I’ve gone through the update (as have many of you) and at the moment…nothing is new.
It appears as if someone did in fact press the “red button” too early OR this is similar to what happened when they rolled out Full Moon. It hit Android devices but didn’t trigger until Apple had the download (which, if I remember correctly, was close to a week).
In any event…I’ll keep checking and seeing if I see anything new pop up in the game via iOS…but for now it’s nearly 2:30 am…this is my 3rd game update of the day…I’m going to bed.
Update: Just after 7am on the East Coast of the US the event has officially started for iOS players. Details will be coming shortly……

Ok i’ve FINALLY been able to go through the game and check things out…rundown is below the fold.
Update: 1:30 PM EDT… I’ve added a lot of info below, including a glitch report from TinyCo about known glitches that they’re working on. I still have to finish playing through everything myself to get the rest of the details. This is as updated as it’s going to get for now…right now I’ve gotta actually work, work. More as I can get some time to go through it…

This will run similar to the Full Moon Event….as of right not there are 46 days 9 hrs 15m left in the the event. So it should end around September 9th….
Here’s the Event Details from the Game itself…. 
The new event currency for this one is Blam! Energy Drinks. You collect them, just like you did the butts. They’ll look like this:
In the same area of your Quahog where the Pyramid was you’ll see the ComicCon Event. Convention Center and a few other buildings. You’ll have to collect Blam! in order to unlock these.
Here’s what the Convention Center Area looks like:

Looks like the construction image is appearing randomly in the playspace sometimes. It’s just a visual bug.Event District Bugs
– if a player on the Comic Con event visits a friend that’s still on the Peter Griffin and the Kingdom of the Full Moon event, their Blam will change to Moon idols. This should not affect their total or progress in the game. It’s simply the wrong asset that’s loading. We’re working on this too!
Just to clarify, you’re not suppose to get Blam from visiting friends, but if you visit a friend who’s still on the Adventure event, when you return to your original Quahog, your Blam may appear as Moon Idols now.
Family Guy Addicts 
Does anyone know, when our android version of the update hits (7/31), if we will get 45 days as well? If not, alot of people, including myself, will cry foul (or another four letter f-word). The fact that ios has it now & has a 7 day advantage over the rest of us & likely will still end 45 days from now – not cool, no matter how well it gets sugarcoated. Unless TinyCo gives the android users an extra week, they have already messed up. I know I won’t be the only one complaining, will I?

What does it mean by clearing you get wizard books? I swear my husbands game is on an easy to get server. He has 4 already and has no idea where they came from. He doesn’t play at work. I started his repairing. He did kill the red guys from Patrick. My son’s game is even easier. I got the hard server.
First weekend I got 3 maracas. Nothing since and they both got theirs. Lois and the dog both hate me.

Why can’t tiny co-make a way to enjoy the events and the regular game simultaneously I know people will say just relax and enjoy the event there’s no time limit on Stewie Carter PB&J Brian but that doesn’t mean that I don’t want to be able to progress in the regular game as well as play the events but Hiney ho is make it work if you want to make any substantial progress you can only do one or the other if you want to be able to do both and progress in the regular game as well they are forcing you to have to spend clams I have literally been playing this game since the day it hit the iPhone App Store the only clams I’ve ever spent has been ones I earned in the game the only glitch I’ve ever found and actually been able to use was the tanning salon with the Tea party event and ended up with 32 tanning salons and since district 8 dropped I’ve only been able to unlock falconer Peter and I played multiple times a day and I feel like a failure it seems like the only way to get ahead in this game is to either spend an insane amount of money on the clams or cheat as it appears certain people say they have done as I have friends a tiny co that update their games weeks if not months in advance

It’s because this ain’t a charity.
If there is no pressure to buy clams (either by time limited content of the length of time need to collect items) Tinyco doesn’t get paid.
the app was free, but you still have to pay to play the game, either with time or cash. But unlike a traditional game, you didn’t have to pay anything up front to get started, and you don’t have to pay a flat subscription fee.
Far from being a failure, you are just a casual player who has more important things to spend your time and money on. If you want the added content, you can make the time or open your wallet. If you aren’t willing to do either, then you can do without. There is still plenty of things to enjoy in the game without, lets face it, pointless bling and tchotchkies littering your Quahog.

Have first I was excited and happy about this update now I am just back to general frustration even with 46 days I don’t see anyway from him players going to be able to get everything that is required and still be able to finish unlocking Stewie PB&J Brian and Carter now we have to send characters on task to get blam because everything requires massive amounts of blam to unlock only one character and one building release pizza slices to unlock Patrick Stewart and the building has to be repaired first which takes 8 hours and then only one character and one type of special nerd release pizza slices and so far not a single one of those special nerds which I maybe seen 5 or 6 of total sense I unlocking the Clamosphere drop books and not one book has dropped yet

Already seems like a great event. We know what the prizes are in advance, we can unlock all the buildings without waiting, unlike the pyramid, and there are seven characters to collect! Hopefully annoying things like ‘work’ and ‘social obligations’ don’t get in the way of getting George 😛

Any idea on whether TinyCo will be releasing more ways to earn Blam or are we aiming for 2000 a day already?
Heard a rumour *SPOILER* (not really but you never know what people count as spoilers lol) that Bryan cranston will be in the game, so I guess that seems to point out we will be getting updates through the 40 days and hopefully more blam, to make it easier.
Updates looking really good imo. Love the comic book look.
Was secretly hoping for a TARDIS (family guy version) but unfortunatly dr who doesnt have a booth this year, so was never gonna happen.

Does anyone know how often the orange colored nerds come out? They started coming out after the Clamterprise got rebuilt. They gave out 10 blams each. Was wondering if they respawn or was it a one time thing after repairing the buildings. The blue ones seem to spawn after every 8 mins or so in 3s. They give out between 2, 3 or 5.

No. Once you go to iOS you can’t go back to Android until the update hits Android.

I hate TInyCo so very much. Really, a one week iOS exclusivity for an event? And because of that, android and kindle users can’t visit iOS friends? And if anyone has iOS and either kindle or android, you’ll end up restricted to the iOS device for a week. Being an android and kindle player, I look forward to the close of this year’s San Diego Comic Con, because that will mark the halfway point of the delay of the Comic Con event. I can only hope Apple is paying you for this bonehead move, because you sure aren’t earning any purchases from me.
Until I can actually play this update, I’ve only got one other thing I can say. The event had better be doable for android players without having to spend clams, or interrupt sleep schedules. I didn’t lose any sleep on not being able to unlock King Butt due to TinyCo’s incompetence, but if they introduce George Takei, and 100,000 arbitrary currency units is too difficult to get, I will be very disappointed.

I’m glad that this event has far more time than the kingdom of the full moon event and hopefully with a lot of grinding I might just be able to reach the required total for George Takei but I was wondering if Family Guy Addicts, similar to the stonecutters event for tsto, could do a calendar showing at what amount of blam you need to be at the reach the last prize. Im an Android user waiting patiently for this new event I was just wondering if anything in this new event cost coins. I have about 90,000 coins saved up and I want to start clearing out the last pieces of expensive land on the far left side of the town. I have the 40,000, 45,000 and 50,000 land left.
I want to clear the 40,000 and 45,000 land which will leave me with about 5,000 coins. Do you think I should I clear that land or save up coins for the new event?

I just got the last PB&J to make PB&J Brian and now the game crashes when I try to make him

I also only need 1 more leather glove! I got one this morning alongside a plutonium and TWO clams! I had to spend clams to get Rupert but now I am really happy

Well, I am obsessively making Peter Surf the Bird in hopes to maximize the amount of Blam I get… who knows if there will be another exploitable glitch. I intend to be prepared, lol.
Overall, this seems like it’s going smoothly. Have to wait a couple days, get a bit further in the missions to find out. I’m just praying it won’t be so strong a divide between freemium and cashing players… This event offers way too much to miss out on just because we didn’t cash.
One thing I noticed: Now in your Facespace page, you can click the blacked out icons and it’ll tell you what they are (this didn’t happen before, I don’t think). SPOILS below…
Although our Characters Tab in the shop only lists five members of Comic Con, there are clearly seven. We can expect surprise appearances later from Nathan Fillion and Bryan Cranston (omg!!!).
And in the next districts, we can also see that Peter’s costumes are going to be “Spanish Soap Peter” and “Beautiful Peter.” I’m sure with a bit of searching, it’ll be easy to see those as well.

This seems to happen when you’ve visited a friend whose Quahog is still in the last event. If you restart the app, it’ll go away.
On a related note – is there an easy way to remove friends from your list? I’ve got a couple who’ve clearly stopped playing, so is there a way to remove them from the game short of unfriending them? Which is, I have to say, a little extreme.

I just unlocked falconer Peter yesterday and got Carter first thing this morning, but now with the event pb&j Brian will take me a while and I’m not expecting to get Stewie for another couple weeks. Love the idea of this comic con event, but I sort of wish that we had a longer time between it and the release of District 9, because I only have 3 of those buildings so far lol

I sure hope that the event is extended a week for android users (and I mean an actual week, not like the less than 8 hour “day” that the Rupert event was extended). That seems like it would be a really bad idea to punish a significant portion of your customers.

Because the comic con building and the rest like the clamterpirise (love the name) are in the same sort of area as the pyramid, does this mean they will dissapear when the event ends because to be honest it kind of makes me feel that way when the cost to restore each building is relatively cheap using the new currency.

Tidy little game LOL. As expected, I am seeing glitches affecting general play. I can’t create my Anime Peter. It keeps bumping me out of the game whenever I try to make his costume.
Loving the whole Nerd Zapping, though. Very similar play as the King Butt event. I like that it is a little longer for all of us addicts who uber-play. I am a hybrid freemium/premium player. I did buy clams for the King Butt, but after finding this place have since discovered that you can maximize your game play and secure those clams with other actions. I learned about farming from You all and from previous experience on another fan forum.

The game description of the prize says it will spawn nerds permanently and you get a chance at clams! And did you notice that the game descriptions of payouts are more specific, mentioning the time needed until you can collect from the building? And why is there a build in the store that costs 50 clams, looks just like McBurger Town, and is called AskJeeves.com the Store? There was an exclamation mark by it too when I first saw it at the start of this event. 🙂

Oh, well, it was fun while it lasted.
Been spending the good part of the morning attempting to log into the game, but it continues to crash on every load-up attempt (ios6). Looks like I’ll be spending more time reading.

Same here, with the update going to IOS first I pulled out my trusty Ipod (ios6 as well) and after it installed the update it now crashes just before finishing loading. Tested unlinking it to my FB account and it loaded a lvl1 game no problem, but re-linking it to my full account just crashes. Now doubly in trouble because it loaded far enough to trigger the “upgrade” screen on my android device, so FG on android is now pooched as well until they actually put the update to android.
Here’s hoping its just first day glitches because a week without FG after also not winning Rupert is just loading on the pain.

oh oh keep trying Vavs, I actually got it to fully load once, got to see the convention building and click on Peter, but then it crashed again. Man, It’d been so long since I’d played FG on the ipod I’d forgotten how painful it was 🙂

I have an iOS 6.0.2 iphone 5 and have no problems. Maybe it is the memory (RAM) is too low on your iPods? You say it worked with a level 1 but not your normal game which probably is a higher level and has a lot more stuff in it.

Holy crap I have a problem can anyone please help!? Okay, so I decided that patience is not a virtue that I posses and re-downloaded the game on my ios 4th generation so I could get started on this new event (I have been playing on my Android since midway through the Kingdom of the Full Moon event). Anyway, the game wouldn’t even load after I signed in, it just kept crashing and crashing over and over. I figured that it was my device since it does this with many other games and apps too, so I uninstalled it. Then I tried to get the game to open on my Android so I could send people on tasks to earn stuff for Stewie and Carter, but now the game keeps telling me that I need to upgrade I have it set to auto-update and y Android insists that I have the newest version available, what should I do?

It looks like it attempted to log you in on Apple, thus bringing your game up to date. So when you try to revert back to Android it’s saying it’s an old version and you need to update, but the update won’t be out until the 31st.
So…here’s what you can try to do. Try to get the iPod to work. What OS is on it? Does it need to be updated?

I have an iPod 4 and I just checked it and it says that it is up to date. I contacted tinyco and they are working on my problem. I uninstalled it from the iPod and uninstalled then reinstalled it on my android but when I logged in it went back to telling me to upgrade. Hoping tinyco will get me back on track soon. : (

I hope so too! They did send us some info on the crash issues, don’t know if it’ll help in your situation but worth a shot 🙂

he said 4th gen, so I’m guessing ipod 4th gen so running 6.1.6 like I am, no ability to get a 4th gen up to 7.
Same issue here, post update I’ve only successfully gotten the game to start once out of about 100 attempts.
So like him my android device is out of commission because I tried to play with my ipod, and my ipod is……less than pleased with the update. 😛
