9-11-14 11PM EST UPDATE: iOS Update just hit, so iOS players please check to see if your game is now showing the District 9 items and those with issues of the force reload to update, check the app market to see if it is there for you now. Let us know. Google play also saw an update, but it may just be minor glitch fixes. Kindle users, check yours too and let us know if you see anything yet.
I am putting this info at the top for all to see (it’s throughout the post too). If you have iOS/Amazon you will NOT see the new stuff til your Update hits your market. Only Android had it hit.
If you play on cross devices and updated your Android device then tried to switch to iOS/Kindle, you will only see the “you must update” pop up. Again, you got to wait for your market to push the Update before you can see it. Crossing devices made it now impossible for the non updated one to be able to play.
For Android, Precious Metals quest must be done along with District 8 to trigger the Blimp quest and District 9.

From TinyCo Update: We are looking into fixing all of the “Placeables are out of bound” errors. We were incorrect when believe we had found the solution and are working on it!
UPDATE 420AM EST: I am seeing reports slowly coming in of players back up and running. So check your games, but remember…if EVERYONE tries to jump in at once the server will overload…so give it just a lil bit of time to resolve and hopefully all will be back to normal again.

Again, don’t everyone try to rush the servers at once. This may take a restart to trigger the fix or possibly even an uninstall/reinstall just make sure your account was SAVED TO AN EMAIL OR FACEBOOK before uninstalling/reinstalling. That way your progress will not be lost.

You will see a ! over Meg to start the questline. In my game, it seems there are a few lil hiccups with this as Peter’s image was all scrambled. Cracked me up, that’s for sure.
So let’s get to it. In order to get Jailhouse Meg’s Costume into your town, you will need the following items:
20 Poop Bucket (Common): Mort Swallow Jewels, Seamus Swab the Poop Deck, Chris Run Around With Bucket on Head
12 Blue Glass (Rare): Peter Cook Disgusting Vegatables, Stop ‘N Shop, Quahog Mini Mart
8 Soap (Rare): Joe Give Self a Sponge Bath, Connie Get a Luxury Spa Treatment
5 Tattoo Machine (Extra Rare): Lois Show off Tramp Stamp, Dr. Hartman Prepare for an Exam, Meg Practice Bird Calls
(Or if you want to skip it all, it cost 600 Clams in my game to outright buy her.)

It also looks like District 9 is starting to launch. To let you know in advance, this will be released in stages. So you will NOT get all the info at once. They will release a lil part of it each week. The First part will be to build the Blimp and locate Tom Tucker. More info and explanation will come later on the Blimp. Users in iOS/Kindle may not see this part until they get the update to their market. We did notify TinyCo of update reload error with no update in market yet.
Stewie will have a ! over his head to kick of the start of District 9 and “Build-a-Blimp Part 1. It will only take 1 minute to do his first task of “Investigate Blimp Site”. He will go to the Lighthouse to do this. Once complete, you will see the Blimp Building site out in the water. Part 2 will be to start construction of the site and need to collect materials. To do this you will need the following items:
8 Blimp Frame (Uncommon): Lois Blast Apart Kegs, Stewie Dumpster Dive, Brian Dumpster Dive
10 Blimp Propeller (Rare): Seamus Flirt with Classic Boats, Stewie Salvage Parts, Quagmire Watch 40’s War Movies, Brian Salvage Parts

10 Blimp Control Panel (Uncommon): Lois Shoplift, Stewie Raid Impounded Cars, Joe Upgrade Police Car Radios, Brian Hit on Guard Dog

Now for all of you already wondering, WHERE IS TOM TUCKER?
To unlock Tom Tucker, you will need to complete the “Build-a-Blimp” quests (Parts 1-7) and “What the Deuce Pt. 1.” This will unlock District 9. Once you’ve cleared enough land, you can rebuild Quahog 5 News to being unlocking Tom Tucker.
There is a patch of land at the top of your Quahog that is now there that needs to be cleared too. It is broken into 3 sections. $80,000 (1 day 12 hrs)/ $70,000 (1 day 10 hrs)/ $60,000 (1 day 6 hrs). I am seeing reports right now that this is triggering the error that I am still waiting word back on so be cautious until we get more updates on this. See top of post.
To also give you a lil heads up on what to expect, here are the items you will need to unlock Tom Tucker:
20 Microphones (Uncommon): Stewie, Chris, Brian
12 Action Slates (Rare): Brian, Quahog 5 News
10 Satellites (Extra Rare): Peter, Stewie, Channel 5 News Van, Tom Tucker’s Trailer
8 Mustache Creams (Extra Rare): Dr Hartman, Stewie
(Or you can shell out 1120 Clams to outright buy him!)

Stewie Billboard for Free? Woohoo! (Some may or may not see this.) As I stated, this did not show for all. I believe it was a temp glitch, but waiting for confirmation. For now, the billboard will most likely cost clams. You know that annoying glitch that completely shut down the game with the “Placeables Error”? Guess what caused it? THIS DID! So the “Free” was most definitely a glitch and caused mass chaos to players. It never should have been free at all. Only Clams.

I’m still withdrawing from Comic con and only 2 more items away from stripper Bonnie. I know you gets sometimes has access that we don’t – I still haven’t heard back from Tiny Co after almost a week. Have they fixed the Rollojoe issue? That costume is still missing from my game although I bought him. I don’t even care about the quest line, I just want the costume I bought! 😦

I am with you. You can use clams to rush but you can’t use characters that cost clams to assist. That’s some extreme bs. Like they don’t put in the time on premium content.

I like what is happening now. I have 9 characters working on freeing up Jailhouse Meg and then Brian, Stewie and Quaqmire working on the parts for the blimp.
Also, in regards to the blimp quest, tasks and items…they are almost identical for Brian and Stewie so it reminds me of the ROAD TO shows….
Rhode Island, Europe, Rupert, Germany, North Pole, Multiverse,Vegas…
Finally Brian and Stewie are doing their thing together. Just like it should be.

Wow, on my ipad2, it has gone back to the original zoom out mode. However, I don’t have the new quests – just workin on the new jailhouse Meg. On another upside, I just finished stripper Bonnie! Yay!
Hmm, I hope the android users are happy they are first in line for new content once again. Lol ;). Don’t begrudge ’em a thing. Honestly.

Yes, I also noticed the zoom and color depth have returned to normal now, and I also don’t have new quests. I finished Stewie’s Precious Metal questline and started collecting things for Prison Meg, but no other quests have activated for me yet.

I’m on android, I have updated, and I don’t see the new land on top of quahog. Their are 5 or 6 more on the left. I was thinking top meant beside the “event” area. Am I thinking wrong?

Yes. The top as in kinda North easternly area. Water borders East side of town. The Con area was to the West. New District is to the South.

I think you got your N.E.S.W directions mixed up. Water cant be East if the new district is South. If the water is East and the event area is West then the new district would be North.

Lol I did mix them up. That’s what I get for not sleeping and being up all night to help with a new launch. 😉 The 3 patches are up top in the North. Tom Tucker is down towards the South. The Water to the West with the Blimp Tower. The event area for the Con/Pyramid location is to the East. 😉

It seems like this new update has a lot of glitches. A lot of my buildings take a while to show up, sometimes when I go to my facebook friends towns I click on the characters & get nothing, Rollocop Joe & Stripper Bonnie disappear, but worst of all some of my tasks don’t go through and when I come back to the game the characters are just roaming through the town not doing what I assigned them to do. (I’m playing on android BTW) I was so excited about this update and its just really frustrating that some of the tasks don’t stick because I want to move forward in the game. Please HELP!!!! 😥

Try some basic troubleshooting to refresh the game. Force Close, Restart, if game saved to an email or Facebook then uninstall/reinstall. 🙂

I have iOS, and am unable to load some of my neighbors when I go to friends. It brings up a box saying I need to upgrade my game to veiw these neighbors.
Seems like it’s due to the upgrade not being available for iOS yet, but the odd thing is it seems I already have the upgrade. I’ve already started collecting stuff for prison meg. Why am i getting this message saying I need to upgrade to visit these neighbors?

I am happy district 9 is finally here.. But I’m scared it’s going to take so much effort that I won’t be anywhere near finished by the time whatever they are planning for Halloween event hits which I summer will be around the end of this month but hopefully not until closer to Halloween. Idk if I can handle another month long event yet.

I know this don’t have anything to do with what’s goin on but quick question does anybody still have clowns in there town from the circus event? I still have em roaming around never got rid of em lol n they never took em off either I wish I could have kept characters from all events that required us to run em out of our lil town lol so far the clowns are the only ones I know that were possible to keep in your town even after the event n updates 🙂 but would like to know I’m not the only one out there….. ADDICTS?!?!?! I hope at least one of y’all have em LOL

I’m still trying to unlock Asiasn town. Need those eyeballs that are not dropping!!! Send the good Dr. On the task nothing…send him on a different task then back for the eyeball. Have tried with Peter also. But come on it’s been nearly 2 weeks of playing every hr or 2 and NOTHING!!! Same with the wax for Bonnie. I have paid clams to speed up every task to unlock her as soon as she hit. Still don’t have her.

My suggestion, keep on the same task over and over. The change they made for the rarer items gives you better odds the more times you repeat the task.

Regarding the Stewie Billboard, the billboard is in my market for clams, but I also found one already in storage. I’m on iOS without the update, so if the billboard is costing clams try looking in your inventory to see if one is there.
Also, like with some other items, the free one seems to be coded differently than the clam one – so the one in the market didn’t show the inventory icon. Maybe the difference has to do with the update.

Hey, is there any other, perhaps more efficient way of contacting game admins than in-game help menu? I’ve been trying to contact them for days about missing buildings (unique ones, cant rebuild them and no, theyre not in my inventory), sent like 5 messages since 9.03 and got only automatic reply that they’ve recieved it. That’s nice but Im getting desperate as buildings are connected with a few item tasks. Will bribe with gold and cookies for some helpful advice.

Lol. Be patient with them. It takes at LEAST 3 days at times to just get to your ticket. Then they gotta investigate, find solution, etc. Give them some time. They’re working on missing building issue.

Do me a favor. Resubmit another ticket through your game and make sure you include the key words “missing building” and list any and all you do not have anymore. They are going through them over the next few days and will be looking for the key words.

Like with Rollocop, I’m having issues with Stripper Bonnie pulling off a vanishing act. She’s visible while doing the actual task, but as soon as she starts walking around – poof, gone! Regular Bonnie has no problems, but issues with Stripper Bonnie keep me from admiring her “assets” – another reason the zooming needs fixing too!! I have told TinyCo about this also, like I’m sure others have to.
