Hello There Clammers!

We’re nearing the 6 month mark of TQFS!  As the game evolves we’re noticing more and more of you commenting about upcoming items/features you’d love to see in the game.  So we thought 1 central place for you to put your game requests (features, events, characters, decorations etc) would be the best place for TinyCo to see all of your great ideas!

Remember..TinyCo does listen to YOUR requests (and they read this blog!) as evident by the Character Locator, Stripper Bonnie Extension, Sell Feature etc that they’ve added/changed in the game.

  1. Only thing I want is Carl to be in the game. We have the Quick Stop, so why not Carl? And if they do a Star Wars event, then we need the guy that played Yoda!

  2. – Premium characters should always be included in unlocking tasks as an ongoing benefit of purchasing them.
    – Non-Facebook social gaming.
    – Pavement.
    – Vehicle placement on roads.
    – Reduction of certain characters’ tasks; some have a accumulated a number of tasks with identical length.

  3. I love what you’ve done with the game and the latest comic event. Thanks for listening to our constructive feedback. I would like to see a Blue Harvest (Star Wars) event, as well as the Greased Up Deaf Guy character and old timey piano players Vern & Johnny. Also, a cancel task button would be nice. Keep up the good work.

  4. OH! Another feature request/complaint… LEVELS

    As it stands, once you reach a certain point, leveling up is meaningless. You usually tend to get your character tasks all unlocked way before you max out at Lvl.15. In fact, most probably get unlocked before even 10.

    Leveling up the town is as meaningless. Frankly, I don’t even get the point. You accumulate XP, but WHY? Does your town’s level actually affect your gameplay? I haven’t seen real evidence that it does. At no point did I ever say to myself, “Damn! I can’t unlock ‘a’ or ‘b’ because my town hasn’t reached ‘x’ level yet.”

    TinyCo really needs to sort this problem out. Characters max out at 15, which is WAY too early. The town maxes out at 50, which is also a problem. XP can’t be spent to improve your characters or town, yet you seem to accumulate it for no reason. The whole system feels rushed and rough. This RPG-like element either needs fixing/improvement, or total removal.

    My suggestions for fixing it….

    1. Increase the level maximums. 99 for characters and, say 250, for the town itself.

    2. Have your current level act as a task completion modifier. So, for example, the higher your level, the quicker you might finish a task. If a task normally finishes in 8 hours and you’re at “x” level, you might now finish it in 7 hours. Level up your character to some new milestone and that number might get cut down to 6 hours instead.

    3. Similarly, have your town’s level affect how much it costs you to buy new land. If, for example, the new bit of land has a base cost of 100k, maybe you can snag it for even less the higher your town’s level is. It’s such a simple sort of change that would make level grinding worth the trouble.

    4. If they’re going to push that RPG element, why not push it a little further. Why not make some shop elements unlock only when you’ve hit a certain level. Again, this change would be your reward for level grinding.

    5. How about using level as a modifier to affect drop rates? I’m not suggesting that Tiny Co take all of the challenge out of the game. However, if you could level grind your way to a point where Extra Rare items now drop at a Rare rate or Rare as Uncommon…. Wouldn’t that all make sense? Wouldn’t you level grind for the chance to improve drop chances?

    6. What about using levels to unlock new skins/costumes. Even if the costumes don’t have specific tasks associated with them, being able to unlock new looks for your characters when you reach certain levels could help you make your Quahog different from mine or the next player’s.

    7. How about using levels to unlock new features for the players. For example, suppose that you could buy a blank billboard. What if, when you reach a certain level, you could unlock the ability to DRAW or put stickers/stamps on it? Wouldn’t that be fun? It’d certainly give us all stuff to do during those periods between events. Our individual towns could be personalized stand out even more.

    TinyCo needs to break out of the Simpsons Tapped Out model. It’s nice that they copied it to make a Family Guy version, but there are SO many ways that the gameplay could be tweaked to maintain the spirit, but provide a new and unique experience. 6 months on and I think that it’s time to two out the cloned Simpsons:TO design bible and think bigger.

Speaking of episode tie ins, there’s been some hints of the Brian death story arc, wouldn’t it be cool if he dies and he leaves the game completely and we replace him by unlocking Italian dog, and then we blimp it back in time to save bri dog( like two weeks later). Talk about episode tie ins! I think replacement dog and those episodes were a little weak but the time travel aspect is pretty solid.
    Speaking of time travel I’m hoping that the blimp time travel trip will take us to a different time and place, ie a different setting to play the game…whether it be a mini game with different rules or Stewie and Brian doing short task in various quahogs from different time periods…future, pilgrim, dogs are people world, etc . Similarly any Road to episodes could be turn into setting changing Stewie Brian centric events/adventures.

  6. I understand if the mechanics of the game do not allow for vehicles to be placed on roads, but would it be possible to paint the grass another color? I would like to add driveways and a trail to anal point, so colors like gray and/or brown would be preferred.

  8. Definitely a blue harvest event. Bring Brians cousin jaspar. Those two weightlifting twins phone as and barnaby I think that’s their names. I really like the episode of where Brian had an acid trip it would be cool if something with that happened. Stewie can fight that one kid that could have been his brother I forgot his name. The little red head child. So many ideas I have lol. I hope at least one of them!

  10. I agree with many of the suggestions especially earning something (clams) for premium characters. I would also like to ask for the Facespace pages for George and Nathan back. I’m assuming that I lost their pages because I didn’t buy Bryan Cranston and didn’t complete that level of characters form Comic Con.

    • Was looking back at an old thread and saw a great idea someone had posted (sorry but I don’t recall who so feel free to take credit here). It would be great to have the option to cancel a task a character is on. I’ve had a number of instances of sending a character on s long task because they weren’t needed for anything, only to have something new pop up that they could be used for. Or they are working on an item I need and someone else drops the last one…

  11. As a more practical feature…

    I’d like to be able to take & save a screen shot of my ENTIRE town. As of right now, I’d have to use the usual iOS screen cap method and then stitch the exported JPG files in Photoshop. A one button solution would be so much better.

    This would also allow us to share images of our individual versions Quahog on sites like this.

    • I used Microsoft Publisher myself to stitch photos. It is a lil time consuming, but it works. A one touch would be cool, just don’t know how that would work out coding wise.

      • Though I’m a CG artist/animator by profession, I actually went to college as a CompSci major.

        I can tell you that, practically, implementing it is not that bad. The game is already locked into a grid-based design. The brute force method would simply be a matter of systematically copying the visual data from each block to an image file. Honestly, even though I haven’t programmed in years, I could probably bang this out during lunch. It’s all just about managing that same data in a different way. Write it to file instead of screen.

  12. I hope as the new season of family guy starts we have weekly events and rewards tied to the new episodes. Whether it’s something simple like a character quest that fits into the character’s plot in the episode or on the exteme side, what if you open a quest for stuff and instead of the griffin family it’s the Simpsons..all the actions would be the same Peter just looks like Homer (in reference to the season premiere crossover). As far as rewards it be cool to win clams for watching the new episodes, not sure how to do that the right way, not like a code word style but something similar maybe that has time limit within the hour of show start time(time zones considered).

  14. Count me in for a Blue Harvest event.

    Do something special for Kindle players similar to Golden Peter and Rollojoe.

    Slowly lower the requirements to unlock characters as new districts are released, that way newer players can catch up easier.

    Make it easier to move buildings/deco around. Right now the “world” moves, not the building. I have to wait for the building to hit the edge of the screen before it starts to move. Makes placement impossible.

    When a quest requires a particular building to be built, go directly to the building in the menu. Twice now I have built the wrong thing because I forgot which I was looking for by the time I found it.

  15. I agree with the idea of dropping the ability to drag and drop characters, I only ever do it by accident when trying to move around the town.

    PLEASE GIVE US ANOTHER WAY TO ADD FRIENDS!!! Most of my FB friends don’t play. We’ll also need a way to hide FB friends who aren’t playing. I’ve got two who just built a few buildings then quit. I anticipate issues where there won’t be anything for me to tap so the ! will never go away.

    I’d also like to reiterate the idea of premium characters helping earn items. Clearly don’t make them the only one on an item, but we should get some value for our hard earned clams. I bought all of them during the butt event due to earning double butts and I’ve regretted it ever since. Through comic con I tended to set them on day long tasks just to keep them out of the way.

  16. Hey TC! My suggestions: ALL characters should be used to progress. Your reasoning of… It’s not fair to new players.. is poor at best. If my wife started playing today how does the fact that i have Carter working to unlock Tom affect her game? Besides moving the game forward whats the current point of having all these ppl in my Quahog? Once unlocked most become useless. Speaking of useless…why are all my characters doing NOTHING for the next 40hrs while i wait for land to unlock? You only want me logging in once a day? I AM AN ADDICT!!!! I’d love a reason to be checking in every few hrs(and coins ain’t it).
    What the point of levelling up? Most other games you earn something for levelling up. In Quest you get a bar that says MAX! and nifty yellow backgrounds for Facespace pics?!?! Please change this or stop using it, it’s pointless. Same can be said about earning coins. The only thing they are good for is unlocking land. We need more reasons to be earning them.
    Now as a completely freemium player since it launched on ios some advice on how to get me to spend $
    1) drop your prices 1000 clams for a deco..wth!!
    2) buildings like Fat Kevs or Toms trailer should be useful in future quests to drop stuff not just useful for 1 item only.
    3) a policy of a FULL REFUND OF CLAMS if Tiny Co change bought item “on the fly”,ie… I buy all 3 animals to get coked up giraffe to watch him do his “thing” and then you remove that “thing” i should automatically get a refund.
    I LOVE the game TC so much so that i deleted Injustice and i played that everyday for a year and a half.
    Keep up the AMAZING game and the way you interact with us Addicts.

  18. I would LOVE to place vehicles on the street. There was a glitch, I guess, with the gyro truck. It “floated.” Meaning it looked like I was placing it in the grass, next to a sidewalk. But once you exit the “move & place” screen & go back to “playable” Quahog, it was on the street! I loved that! Can we make this a feature with ALL our cars, trucks & bikes?
    Also, keep on being fabulous! I’ve had some lovely interactions with the peoples at TinyCo via the ingame message & help center. Thank you for keeping this game fun, fresh and so totally addicting! 😉 ♡

    • Oh, also… how about more varied task times? Normal Lois has no 1 hr, for example. Odd number hour tasks would be great, too.
      And I do wish more characters had shorter tasks, even if they don’t earn a lot in coins or EXP; it WOULD keep us logged on longer… love the 10min and 1min tasks. Just wish more charcters/costumes had them.

  19. 1. Water plot expansion – let players be able to expand their Quahog even farther into the water so we don’t have things like Gold Digger Island and Dagger Mouths Cave partially on land and looking tacky.

    2. Event Characters – Allow players to be able to purchase (with clams) characters from events they missed out on either from starting the game later than most or not being able to finish collecting their items ex: King Butt, Cleveland and the many Comic-con celebrities.

    3. Character costumes – As with event characters, event costumes that players missed out on or didn’t finish should be purchasable for clams after these events are done.

    4. Log in bonus – Someone else mentioned this and I think it’s a great idea as well. It doesn’t have to be much maybe some extra coins, a clam here or there or even trophy style statues such as the bombardier statues from Comic-con.

    5. Premium Character involvement – It seems almost unanimous that players want something more to do with their premium characters. Maybe extra quest lines, help collect stuff or even he’ll with events as when premium characters earned double moon idols.

  20. I would like for TC to make better use of grid alignment. The configurations for where roads and even some buildings can be set is off and this makes for poor placement ability. I sacrifice areas of land because of the inability to place roads and buildings due to grid restrictions.

    I think the ability to rotate the town would also be a neat effect.

    Lastly, I’d like to see all or some of Stewie’s drag costumes as skins. – Desiree Stewie and her white boots “Maybe I’ll wear them and maybe I won’t…” – “We’re gonna douche the night away…”

  23. I just wanted to say that TinyCo is doing great with the ability to earn clams. You get them from completing character sets, character costumes, some quests, some of the big time events (like comic con), etc. They are giving away A LOT of free clams, and clams cost money for a reason. They can’t just continuously give out free clams or else they wouldn’t make as much money – which means they wouldn’t be able to do as much as they usually do. I just feel like people should be greatful that we get more clams on this game than we do Donuts on TSTO.

  26. Premium characters should earn items for unlocking stuff too! We pay for them so that should be a little extra perk for people who spend money on the game. Also the celebrities and extra characters that took a long time to unlock should help out collecting items too. It just seems a waste off them to just earn coins now that events are over. Even king butt has made no contribution to the game since he arrived. Love the game and all your hard work in making it enjoyable to play. P.S please bring out a clam reward for levelling up as well. 🙂

  28. Premium characters earning stuff for the game. Like here and there. Maybe every new character that gets added have a premium help unlock one task. Also incorporate event people and costumes to help get stuff as well. I know not everyone played all the events but show those players that don’t have those things that if they get stuff from events they are worth something after the event. Maybe have a bonus for reaching certain levels in the game like if you reach level 10 you get a special decoration or level 25 you get a special building. Just make leveling up feel important somehow.

  29. The extra characters should be able to do more than earn coins and xp. Maybe have them help collecting items for tasks such as the blimp parts or for costumes? They seem worthless once you own them, like that comic con chick and the dudes, they just lark and pet puppies all the time…

  30. A new character that does not needs clams, but Stuff dropped by the clams characters. 99 of four different Stuffs, all common drops from the 1, 2 and 4 hour tasks of Consuella, Jake, and so on. Working on that for two of three weeks using the clams characters would be a fun sidebar.

    A “collect all” button would be nice too.

  31. -Would like to see a higher level cap considering that XP is just useless.
    -And maybe some crossovers with The Clevland Show and/ or American Dad?
    -Also a Star Wars event would be one of the best things ever.
    -And as many others mentioned the characters we buy and work hard to unlock during events are left useless for the whole game basically, get them some item quests that just give the players who play more a bit of an advantage.

  32. Maybe not the place to put it, but Tom Tucker is walking around unlocked in my town but he idint increase my character count. I had 32 of 33 characters until I unlocked him, now I have 32 of 32 with him walking around town. Huh?????

  34. I’m really not a fan of the entire item collection system as it currently stands. At the very least, allow premium or event only characters be able to collect extra items (you spent clams on them, or worked hard to earn them during events, they SHOULD be useful).

    I’d also like the option to nuke my town if I wanted, same as I can nuke my Springfield, and order my items in storage in some way.

    Other than that, new characters, building on water, and new ground types.

  35. -Have an epic login bonus, like ‘you’ve played 90 days straight, here is a one of a kind decoration’, or a heap of clams
    -get rid of the ‘pick up a character and drop them into a building’ does anyone use this? I always do it by accident
    -incorporate pavement/dirt/gravel so we can use it in designing our Quahog
    -keep being awesome. The updates are great and anyone that says they are bored can go jump in the lake, eh

    • While I mostly pick up chars accidentally, I also use this feature sometimes when they’re far away from their task building. (Like with Herbert; omfg, he is sooooo slow.)
      I time my chars to get done together, so I can log in while working and not have to wait extra minutes w the screen up because someone had to walk all the way across town to get to The Clam. 🙂

  39. The ability to unlock Deceased characters. Characters like Mr. Weed, Horace, Derek, Diane, Bertram, Peters Parents, Muriel and others. The way they could be unlocked is that Stewie goes back in time or another dimension or something. This would be really cool.

    • Yes! Mr. Weed, absolutely; as a nod those of us who watched early on. Bertram, yeah; I could only imagine the storylines with Stewie! Peter’s Dad, most definitely!

  40. I would really like more utilization of coins. I managed to collect over 650,000 during the Comic-Con event, where BLAM! and Clams were the currency of choice. Also, the characters who can’t earn items for a particular quest (usually most of them,) are left with nothing to do but earn coins.

    My suggestion is some kind of permanent mystery box that takes coins, where you can potentially earn clams and items that cost clams. Even if the cost of the box were something like $10,000 or $20,000 and contained a booby prize like trees, it would give a constant incentive to log in and have your characters doing things.

    Also, as others have mentioned, more spacing out of the characters that can do tasks to earn items would be nice (even if that means greater quantities of items required to unlock things.) Thanks for reading.

  44. My Premium characters are all just taking up space now. I love having them, but there has been (other than one item from Consuela) no advantage to having them. I like them, but…! Also, maybe having King Butt and George Take I should provide some sort of advantage as well… Maybe for the events, the final unlockable prize characters provides a boost somehow…?

  47. *Freemium Player* I do honestly enjoy this game my only real problems are I wish we had a little more down time but that’s okay. But my biggest problem is why do I have to have wifi to play my favorite game? Can this be a offline game? Or able to at least check my town and do activity without a connection? And also could we receive clams every Level? Or every 5-10-etc.? That would be a nice help out thanks for everyone reading this and tiny co keep up the great work!!!

    I love the game and all you’ve been doing for it and us. I would personally love to see some parking lots and the ability to place concrete where grass is. I would also like to see WAY more space. I know you’ve been working on it but every time you add more it is extremely over priced to clear. I can’t fit half of my things on the map with the whole map cleared (of course I am a premium player but I imagine other people also have this problem). I would also like to see the ability to build a dock on the water and also maybe we see a customizable theme park or similar? But other than that I live the game! The events are wonderful and the game looks amazing. Keep up the good work!

    He can be premium maybe, and have a quest line with Dr. Hartman over who is the better doctor.
