For those of you struggling to find the Boom Box, it has been all glammed out now with pretty sparklies. Hopefully this will help you to better locate it in your town. Then you can move it to a location that will better suit you.
Now for the two new items dropped into our Quahogs.
Kool-Aid Hot Air Balloon, 200 Clams, $40 & 25Xp every 7hrs
Cherries, 25 Clams each
Also a side task that Chris will trigger that will reward you with 5 Cherries if you buy the Balloon. (Essentially giving you 125 Clams worth of Cherries and making the Balloon only 75 Clams.) Just make sure you trigger this BEFORE you buy the Kool Aid Hot Air Balloon.
Now for some fun Maths. 🙂
So you want Kool Aid in your town NOW! You don’t want to wait and earn him Freemium? Well now you have your chance and the new items will help, BUT it will cost you precious Clams. Here is the breakdown.
Jerome’s task: This will take one hour to finish OR you can use 2 of your clams to speed it up and take the “shortcut” to get as many Pitchers as you need. (25 total).
Send Jerome on his one hour task. Once he is on it the task info bar will pop up (or if he’s already on it just tap him). Tap the arrows to trigger speeding it up. Then accept the 2 Clams buy out…BUT WAIT. Don’t go so fast or you won’t see the next part. DO NOT TAP ANYWHERE ELSE. Once you accept the Clam Buy, it will end the task and give you a “Second Chance” buy out for 2 Clams. So you can now just tap that over and over and over and over til you get all 25 Pitchers you need. This took me around 60 to 70 Clams. It may take you more or less, so watch your spending.
Next up, the Kool Aid Hot Air Balloon. If you like decorations…Trigger the Bowl of Cherries task with Chris first. Then, for 200 Clams, buy the Hot Air Balloon. This will get you 5 Cherries and a Hot Air Balloon. That leaves only 5 more to earn.
OR
Just buy out as many Cherries as you would like for 25 Clams til you hit the 10 you need. This will cost you up to 250 Clams.
Now for the Ice Cubes. One way to do this is to get the Good Times Pier for $750. The cost to speed this one up is 16 Clams. So with the ALWAYS drop, you will spend 128 Clams to get the Ice Cubes you need. (We have seen some reports on the drops on this. Please report it to them if you have issues. Will update response to my report once I hear back.)
So for you Premium Addicts that just can’t and DON’T want to wait to get Kool Aid and want him NOW, plan on spending round 400-450 Clams to get him. (Of course it is less depending on what you already got for free.)
As always, we suggest try to win all you can for free FIRST…then make a decision if it is worth it to YOU to invest your precious Clams on this particular character.

According to my in game pop up it says 3pm PDT.
I was on track but now it’s closed, boom box gone.

There should still be time left to get the kool aid kid right? Well, i had 15mins left til my last ice cube drop. Came back and it didn’t drop, the boom box is gone and tapping the ‘go’ button on the create kool aid kid task does nothing. What is going on here?

My attempt to get Kool Aid man ended at 3pm New Zealand time on the 30th (7pm on the 29th PDT).
I would not mind if he’d turned up a day before the US but he didn’t.
I got hosed on the stewie clothes as well (ended 3AM PDT).
Sent tinyco a message but I’m not expecting much as they completely ignored all my blam emails which I started sending on 30th August.
I had started paying to play but three housings in a row has ended that just as it started.

Unlocked Kool-Aid Man this morning, without using Clams, but I find it a bit odd that he has absolutely nothing on his FaceSpace page, and he doesn’t count in the characters unlocked total, by which I mean with him unlocked I have 33 characters, just need 1 more item for the blimp so I can start District 9, but my total still says 32/34 unlocked.

Yes, it’s going around it seems. You can try a hard close (actually shut down the app) and restart it. See if that helps, if not…best bet is to contact TinyCo. Fortunately, the questline is not required to get Kool-Aid man.

I was able to get multiple piers when they first became available and got all the ice within the first day. Also, trying Chris for the endless party part 4 for the second time around…. we’ll see if it works this time.

Part 4 is having issues…seems to be going around. You can try contacting TinyCo on it…or try hard closing the app and restarting it. If that doesn’t work then def contact TinyCo.
Fortunately, the questline isn’t required to get Kool-Aid Man..

I agrre, this bit’s a bit rubbish. I have tried and tried to get those jugs, got everything else and i still need about another 15 or so, no way that’ll be done in time, plus heaps of times either the jug appeared but wasnt counted or no jug at all. Mega–Gripe? “Ohhh Yeaaaah”

Endless party pt. 4 will not let me complete it. I did the Chris hoopla hoop challenge twice, but the system has yet to take it. I checked family guy facebook page and saw a few ppl saying the same thing.

Did the kool aid date get extended. I no longer see a timer in my town. Also in the quest line I completed some of the tasks but they are not progressing forward its saying I have yet to complete

I’m on track to get Kool Aid guy myself so it doesn’t much affect me, but I did notice the timer is gone on the quest line icon for Kool Aid guy in my game. Is there no longer a time limit? Just a glitch? When I click on the boombox it still says it ends 9/30. Just wondering.

does the kool-aid man have a voice or is he silent like human rupert? i don’t like spending clams on characters that don’t say anything. i was actually kinda annoyed human rupert didn’t have a voice since i thought his voice in the show was pretty funny 😦

Especially strange since according to the interwebs he is voiced by Seth MacFarlane himself. We’ve been spoiled all this time apparently :(.
Rupert and Vinny are voiced by non regulars it seems which makes more sense to not be voiced.

I was always under the impression they took the voices from the show though? At least all the lines are from the show, unless they re-record them for the game (I know the Comic-Con celebs recorded stuff but I guessed that was just because they weren’t in the show) So I don’t understand why they couldn’t get voices for at least Kool-Aid Man (even if all he said was “oh yeah!”). I can kind of understand Vinny and Human Rupert because the former was only there for a few episodes and the latter was nothing more than a few cameos!

WTH !!!! How am I supposed to get kool aid guy in time for the deadline when Jerome hasn’t dropped 1 item for his 1 hour task for the last 10 times I put him on that task. I have 1 cherry left to get and 3 ice cubes left and 17/25 pitchers for now . With the drop rate I have been getting on these pitchers I don’t think I will get kool aid guy. I never liked the drop rates that tiny co sets. Most times they seem so unreasonable

Anyone else have really bad luck with Jerome’s quest. I have completed it about 20 times now. Not one pitcher has dropped from him. I also just rushed and retried it a few times, nothing. I’m starting to wonder if this can just be bad luck, because from what I read here I would be having extremely bad luck. If Jerome doesn’t start dropping pitchers I will never get enough on time 😥

Chris has been dropping them 50% of the time for me. I was doing great with Jerome up until yesterday when for the last 12 times I had him on the task o got nothing. Wondering if something’s up with the system. However after my last comment he actually dropped one but the last 3 times since then, looks like we are back to the garbage drop rate.

Both my wife and I are having problems registering items. Every time we click on the boom box, our games crash. She has an android and I have iPhone 5c, so I’m pretty sure it’s not relative to the OS. She can’t even send a report to TinyCo! If she clicks on her settings section, and tries to enter her messages the entire phone crashes and freezes! My game also crashes, but only when I go to my neighbors. I wrote TinyCo. and they assured me a fix was coming but that was a month ago. Do you know how many clams I’ve missed from collecting from neighbors!? My wife can’t collect either. She did write TinyCo a few days ago before the glitch started but they never responded. Now she’ll never be able to read their reply. I’ve already considered deleting my game permanetly… I’m beginning to consider it more and more now.

I just contacted tinyco having problems registering pitchers collected … Thought 15 was a couple ago since Jerome has been going every hr and he’s about 1/3-1/4, and just verified he dropped but didn’t register, so now I’m certain to be missing at least 3-4 … Still time left but if they stop registering all together I’m just wasting time …

When you buy more than one of a building do you get multiple item drops or just one? I’ve always wondered if it was beneficial to buy more than one of things.

If it is a building with drops, each one is coded different than the other. In short, yes…they all drop. But once the item is no longer needed, you now have a bunch of that building. Lol.

As you mentioned in the post, and as I have just alerted Tiny Co., inside my game, two ice cube drops in a row have not registered/counted for me. I know it’s the weekend now for Tiny Co., but one more misregister and I’ll miss out on owning Kool Aid Man as a Freemium player. Technically, I’d miss out on him even if I spent clams… If the ice cubes won’t register after dropping every eight hours or faster, there will never be enough to earn him for my Quahog.

Oops… Miscalculated. If the next FIVE drops don’t register I’ll miss out on keeping Kool Aid Man… , so not truly an emergency like I thought… But Tiny Co. doesn’t work weekends, the problem is systemic, and this assumes I religiously tap every eight hours; which I do 🙂

Tip of the day:
Wait 15 minutes after starting Jerome’s Play Ball task. Once his timer is under 45 minutes, it only costs 1 clam to rush him to completion. You can pick away at earning some pitchers for nearly free while you wait for the ice cube buildings to run their course.

I think in the post where you explain the cherry and balloon deal, it’s worded a little misleading. You say that it gets you 125 clams worth of cherries for free, and makes the balloon 75 clams. It would be more accurate to say that it *either* gives you 125 clams worth of cherries *or* makes the balloon 75 clams depending on how you want to do the mental bookkeeping to either allocate clam value to make the cherries a “free bonus” as the game presents it, or if you put the value on the cherries and treat it as paying for the cherries and getting the discount on the balloon.

I wish I knew why this game hates me so much. I have sent Jerome on his task 6 or 7 times today, everyone else as much as I can. I still only have like 4 pitchers. My characters just do not drop anything. Very, very frustrating.

If you want to minimize the clam spending on pitchers. I’d send Jerome every 15mins. This requires more patience on a player’s behalf to watch the clock, but if your time is worth 15mins/ clam… it’s one clam per try vs. 2 outright.
The same logic can be used for ice cubes at 7.25 hrs (<45mins) and you're guaranteed ice cubes. Again another clam to get the cubes to drop early.
Spend the rest to get cherries you would've towards pitchers and cubes or just sit on it. But anyway, with the current time line…. a semi-meticulous person can have Kool-Aid guy by Saturday/Sunday 😉

If it’s the same as mine, it seems to be a placeholder for a quest that hasn’t triggered yet – the Adam West plutonium one.
I think everyone got a stick of plutonium for unlocking district 9…because that blimp is tied to district 9.

I got ahead of myself after I unlocked Kool aid and rushed all of his tasks and now I have a load error that says Config Empty for : JamesWoodsHighGeneric in building action. Not even sure why i chose to rush all of his actions. I ended up spending around $20. Just got ahead of myself I guess. Is that something that will work itself out eventually or should I contact tinyco?

He was never available to buy. He was just there locked as a place holder. He will return when he goes live and is actually put in the game as a character. Patience. 😉

There is more than enough time to complete this as a freemium player so I wouldn’t sweat it.
Also I’m pretty sure the Kool-Aid timer is off because I’ve seen him 4 times already in under 24h but hey, I’m not complaining.

I bought 3 and its spitting out ice cubes every time. Pretty cool, I’m just glad I don’t have that much glitch like everyone else is having. I think I just chinx myself, hopefully nothing too bad will happen.
