Well, we’ve all made it through another “work week” (kinda, sorta, almost) and the weekend looms large up ahead. All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game (What no Mayor West, STILL?!) and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun new way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest.

-Pee Pants returns for…..clams?! Seriously?! What the hell?!
-More late night TinyCo drops….What the hell?! Do they not expect us to sleep?!
-While it’s no surprise to readers of both Addicts blogs, but i’m a HUGE Yankee fan. Last night Derek Jeter, the Yankee Captain, played his last game at Yankee Stadium. For 20 years I’ve watched him play Shortstop for the Yankees (wow am I really that old) and now for the first time I won’t see him on the field next year. For me, and many other Yankee fans, it’s the end of an era. When did I get old? What the hell?! (however, AWESOME end to his Yankee Stadium career. Gotta love Captain Clutch!)

Yup I agree a load heaping Tinyco crap!!! I have 17 hours to get 12 COMMON cigars to finish Vinnie in time! Weird eh? Mort has long duration event to get keys but alas not one single key from him! A total waste of time. We most likely not be so pissed if not for the fact that clams = real money!!!

In case you were unaware, the timer is ONLY for the Pastaria side quest. You can take as long as you want to get Vinny. Sidequest is just a side option. 😉

I beginning to wonder if you work for them? I understand that but if I want before the timer runs out do I not have to caugh up the clams to finish? I find it weird that a common item is the hardest to get!

I can assure you neither of us work for TinyCo (and it’s getting REALLY frustrating when it’s assumed we do). We also run TSTO Addicts…which is owed by EA. If we worked for TinyCo that would be a MASSIVE conflict of interest. Not to mention the plenty of posts we write where we criticize TinyCo for the flaws of the game. Just because we try to have a positive outlook on things…does not mean we work for TinyCo. It just means…what good does getting ticked off do? It’s just a game. Honestly. If it doesn’t make you happy and you’re not having fun…stop playing it.
As far as the Vinny side quest goes…it’s an exclusive building unlocked for completing it in 3 days. It has NOTHING to do with the functioning of the game. It’s a bonus….and I can tell you PLENTY of players have reported getting it with no issues.

I unlocked Vinny… three hours after the Boopity Pastaria deadline had passed. I had everybody tasked full time on getting those keys, but the keys were extra rare and all the tasks were ten hours! (Except for Human Rupert’s, which was eight hours, which is hardly any better.)
I’m not furious about it, because it’s just the Boopity Pastaria. Between that and the Meatloaf place and the Taste of Sicily restaurant, that’s three Italian-stereotype restaurants. But the Boopity Pastaria was never going to be achievable without clams or a healthy amount of natural luck.

Ok, what the hell, TinyCo, you’re making me sad. With Kool-Aid Man, we now have three characters that have no FaceSpace postings at all. And except for Consuella, ALL the characters, even Peter, never made a FaceSpace post after about level seven. I mean, why even bother having a fake Facebook in the game if the characters are never going to use it to bombard us with silliness? Isn’t there a single person at the office with enough imagination to come up with a weekly one-liner, or continuing personal crisis, for the characters to blog about?

Wth, where is today’s candy bucket. Moved everything that could possibly block it…but no candy bucket to be found anywhere…and it is well after noon pacific. ..also ice cubes don’t seem to be dropping “always” just got up t o a grand total of 3…

sexy stewie: i was one freaking item away when the event ended thanks to those HORRIBLE drops for the music notes in my game. wth?!
cost of clearing land: wth?! 80,000 for one piece of land.
these mini events: wth?! ive barely even started on district 9 because of all of these mini events. and in a few days the halloween event is going to start. come on!

WTH… I used to love this game… really!! but now that everything is all about CLAMS CLAMS CLAMS I dont’ see the point in continue playing. I’ve spent a LOT, more than a 100 bucks, especially with the comic con Event.. and I wanted to save (and buy more) clams for the Halloween event… however, by the way they are releasing stuff, is almost impossible to keep a decent game, getting characters or costumes unlocked in time without spending CLAMS CLAMS CLAMS.. it used to be attainable you know?? playing constantly and with patience, there was a chance of achieving the goals.. now everything is extra rare in ridiculous amounts of items, and decos and buildings cost clams, more clams. This is sad. I understand that’s the way they make a profit (that’s why I paid for clams in the past) but it used to be a balance between premium and freemium, now there is not … is getting just sad and terribly obvious.
Also I can see that there’s something wrong with their calendars and organization; one second there is a price for something, the next is different… one deco is unlocked, next day is locked. One building is available for purchase several times, next minute is no longer available…The Blimp Hangar locked and then gone, two versions of the same building; Mayor West not coming in time, Vinny without sound (yes.. I know, copyrights)… and all of a sudden the game is entirely limited time, with no reasonable drop rates, and 16-20 hours quests.. (Bonnie’s Striper Outfit, Sexy Stewie… there is always an extension, because the original time is unreasonable!)
Half of the characters are useless, while the rest are all involved in everything… is like they don’t plan the storylines! .. Tricia didn’t help at all to unlock Tom, Stewie and Brian were trapped in 12 hrs missions for Vinny while they both are required to unlock Tom… I mean, it’s getting really bad.
…And the annoying lack of land… WTH…

I have a suspicion that is nothing more than guesswork. I think the reason we’ve seen so many sudden time limit quests and so many clam-heavy offerings is because it is September. That’s the end of a financial quarter in most companies. I suspect TinyCo is trying to boost their sales numbers so they look better on October 1st.
If that’s true, then hopefully the madness will begin to settle down once the new month comes around.

I see your point, and you may be right about the numbers, but I dont’ think the madness will settle down any time soon; The new month comes with the Halloween Event. I’m sure it’s going to be even worse with the Clam-based buildings… I’m gonna have to let the kool-aid balloon and Ferris Wheel pass this time to save more for the spooky stuff ( I just bought Pee Pants and his ring, and consuela… and the white tiger, see?? everything is clams.. clams.. clams)

WTH!!! (Here is the back story)After 7 days trying 2 get 4 plutonium to unlock Stewie, I got it. I had every building and quest done for a week prier waiting for him. Now I’m going through comic-con quests and story quests.
Ok, now my WTH. I can somehow collect stuff for sexy Stewie. I.e. shemus can get notes and hats, Carter can get the champagne, Peter can get baby powder.
BUT, and this is a big but, (LOL) in the costume place I can not see it to build. Oh and btw when I get the items from tasks the little portrait of sexy Stewie shows up with the bar.

I’m experiencing the same glitch. I’m wondering if I’ll still be able to make him. Next time the little Stewie pops up, I’ll click on him and see what happens. Does anyone know if I’ll still be able to build him?

Nope. Sexy Stewie is gone as of Wednesday 3pm PDT. Nothing you do after that point will matter. The code for him and Rupert is gone. What you are seeing are remnants. “hiccups” if you will left over from the event. I believe it is due to they had to mess with the coding to push it two more days. So some “ghosts” are still left behind. But they have no where to go and nothing to count towards. So they won’t make any difference. Just ignore them for now and focus on the items currently in the game.
In the meantime, feel free to report it to TinyCo that you still have them. I believe they will most likely have to send in app market patch to get rid of the last remnants.

So, I saw the promotion where you can get $20 worth of clams free when you buy at least $20 worth of clams. So I ponied up $20, but instead of getting 1200 clams, I only got 600. What the hell?

I did not see a buy 20 get 20. Hmmm. The only current offers I have is buy the 19.99 in COINS and get 19.99 in Clams free. I also have an older one in there too for 4.99 COINS get 4.99 Clams.

Soooo. I sent Chist to get a microphone this morning so he’s only now loosing games, my bad I know, sigh. But I’ve had Jerome getting me pitchers but they do not drop! WTH?! Two lousy pitchers in 12 tries! Peter’s first shipoopi did not drop a pitcher but Lois ahopping did, so 3/25. Bruces task is 20h so I’ll know how if he’s generous tomorrow. At this rate I wont get the drink and Im thirsty!
Speaking of wet stuff, Im sick n tired of having my “island” halfway up on the beach! I want more water! Why the hell give us an island if we cannot surround it with water?!

All i am doing for my game is concentrating on Tucker, holding off on buildind Dog Pound to prevent side quest timer and working on the red man cause there is a chance to get him BUT if i dont then i dont! They are bringing characters back so if i do not get Koolaid Man, they could still bring him back later! Or at least one can hope! It is just a game but i do understand the frustrations of ppl when the returning characters are costing more than what they were! Furthermore, what of the ppl who just started playing? They are missing more than alot of us! Sometimes being a completionist means sacrificing, if that makes any sense!

If it helps, Vinny is relatively quick. Once you get Brian and Stewie going, your main concerns is getting 4 keys in 3 days. 🙂
Only B/S are really used in both sets of unlocks, but you might want to hold off if you’re using Peter towards Kool-Aid guy.

What the hell we have to many characters that do nothing,but take up space.What the hell I live in Phoenix As,work at ups and we have no ac in the building lost 50lbs this summer,now I have to eat more in the winter so I can lose it all next summer.

Ok so I know a lot of people complain about this but what the hell is up with the event items and characters why is it that although they have so much potential for unlocks but they’re freaking worthless after their events.

I wish they would just bring out Adam West because I’m starting to get frustrated with these characters. I regret getting King Butt because he only has 4 or 5 tasks that don’t contribute to anything. And I’m mad that Vinny doesn’t say anything. I like his voice in the show. It sounds like a lot of the characters lines come from fairly recent episodes

Aw, man, no voice for Vinny? I hope it’s just a production delay from Tiny Co. Tony Sirico is set to do more voice work for Family Guy next season (as himself), so maybe they can get him to sign something without reading it first 🙂

Also keep in mind that this is TinyCo, a separate entity from FOX. So there are MORE hoops to jump through as they have to get an OK for a new game vs the TV series. The legalities are insane.

I updated my iPad to iOS8 the day it was released. I haven’t had any problems playing the game at all. You should be able to update without any difficulties. I waited and updated my phone 2 days ago, and same thing, haven’t had any problems or crashes or anything like that.

i got one. i received an email from Tinyco yesterday asking me to rate their customer service because i had recently emailed them with a problem. (shufflepaper glitch) They fixed the issue so that so props to the tech department.
That said their customer service consisted of this. Sent me auto response to issue asking for game id which is impossible being i cant get in. I respond but never get a response. Post on there facebook and twitter with no response. All they had to do to get a good review was respond anywhere saying we acknowledge the issue and are working on it. Needless to say it got lowest possible rating along with a few choice words that i doubt anyone ever bothers reading.

Signed in juust after Sexy Stewie was taken out of game. Tapped on my Quahogians to clear up the tasks and they dropped the last two musical notes I was missing to unlock him. Just a couple more hours would have done it… The game even showed Sexy Stewie’s meter fill completely up, but of course when I tapped it, he was nowhere to be found in the costume shop…

My WTH this week is a bit more genteel…a “What the Hey”, perhaps. I try to manage my time very carefully, so I was thrilled when the word came down that we weren’t going to get Mayor West this week. I knew the weekend would be the perfect time to trigger the Vinny quest, since I wanted the Boopity Pasta prize. Congrats, TinyCo, you got me again, because we got another limited time quest. (Thank you late night insomnia that gave me the chance to jump on that quest line right away!)
I can’t say I’m too upset. It was awesome to see Kool-Aid man walking down my neighborhood’s street, and I’m going to think positively that those pitchers don’t put up too much a fuss to collect. I’m also relieved that there’s no overlap between the people I need for tasks to collect Vinny’s items and the pitchers. Honestly, even after checking your blog post about Vinny and learning there’s another way to earn cleavers as soon as Brian stops dancing, I’m a lot more doubtful that I can finish the special quest than I am about collecting Kool-Aid Man.
Still haven’t found my boom box though. What the hey.

Zoom in a bit, then try tapping on the icon to the side for the event. The pop up it triggers usually hovers over the center of the screen where the boom box is located.

What this game needs is a timed event to start tonight that only involves the characters needed for Vinnie and Kool-Aid Man and somehow the candy for Pink Brian. Oh and a 72 hour task for the other characters to have a 20-some at Quagmire’s house so I can ignore them.

I haven’t been able to play at all today. I keep getting a message that I cannot connect to the server. I tried restarting my phone, using another device and I even removed the app. I sent a message to Tinyco but every time I try to communicate with them its 3-4 days at best for a reply so I plan on skipping the koolaid man.

I did, on both devices. I was so proud that I have been actually completing the tasks within the time limits, Sexy Stewie before the extension, Vinnie just this morning before I was disconnected. I think its Karma because I was bragging to myself I never use clams and manage to complete most of the tasks.

I wish tiny co would be a bit less reliant on limited time clam items (and these 3 day event things but that might not be feasible). For example in the other game I’m waiting until after Halloween hits to decide if I want both Akira and Uter (I have bought 4 items so far in game using clams (I started around when comiccon dropped for apple) (worker #2, impulse gay bar from comic con, Nathan Fillion and family jewels and I can see/use these items all the time not just as a skin) I’m on the side of waffling over all IAP and so I wind up passing on all limited time items (I’d be more willing to pay clams for characters not skins even if it meant my town had 3 Peters working simultaneously but 400 for a character I couldn’t earn playing on kindle….pass )

WTH A main character being released for a ton of clams! A character that was previously available only in an event that I could not play because the game was not available on my system. Ugh. The pay option in TSTO feels like a tip cup at an ice cream stand, there if you want it but easy to ignore. This game feels like a visit from the mafia.
WTH! a Bill and Ted sequel 20 years later? What took so long guys? Wyld Stallyns should be on their 2nd or 3rd retirement tour by now.
The step on my daughter’s potty seat says “only to be used as a step” on it. WTH else would I use it as? An ironing board?
My son lost one of his homework papers this week, that was supposed to be inside his school folder, in his bag, in the kitchen. Instead we found it inside an empty box in the living room. WTH?

Jerome and Chris are the best way I see getting the kool aid man and they are not needed for vinnie neither is lois or Bruce. None of the characters cross so you really should not have a problem if you are diligent. Vinnie is mostly Stewie and Brian, with mort, human RUPERT, carter, joe and quagmire. Just keep everyone on the appropriate tasks.

ADAM WEST I waited up late Tuesday leaving all my characters roaming for hours to make sure I could start on the tasks. ( his building says 30 seconds build time so no delay). Seriously why could they not have posted earlier that he was being delayed I would not have minded but they need to remember not everyone is on the WEST COAST. Also I am a bit scared with him coming soon hopefully today that he will have a timed extra like Vinny. Will wait to do anything until you all say what is happening. Loving the kool aid man so I will get him. He will be mine.

My other WTH is people that refuse to use strategy on the timed events and then flip like crazy on here when they dont get the timed item…most of the people that complain have been playing for months and it isnt their first rodeo (yes I’m Texan lol). If its a timed quest that kicks off during the regular storyline…come here and FIRST find out who needs to get what items…SECOND make sure you know what you have to do to set it off..theoretically with this knowledge after you just kick it off you should be able to collect off all of your characters right off the bat and you are already ahead…without clams I got Vinny finished in two days because of this. Next for any timed quest. .go after the extra rare items with every character first!! If different items need the same characters. .always make sure you get the hardest item first. Lastly I know a ton of people need need coins but a twelve hour task isnt much more than an eight..keep your task as short as possible. .when you get up in the morning before work put them on a four…hit the bathroom at some point later and do it again…the whole idea is to keep everyone ready if a timed event kicks in..using these strategies will keep you sane and hopefully stop the barrage of complaints on here about timed events win/win. (Yes I know there isn’t any real way to stop complaints but when people write in everytime that something is impossible within hours of starting I just shake my head….WTH)

One of the reasons I point the generosity of Tinyco is because how many ways they have to earn free clams right off the bat.. now they are selling Cleveland a one of the guys characters on facespace AND NOT a people you buy…WTH!! Even if you did not unlock him during the event they gave you his house and all the time you wanted after. If they wanted to bring him back with harder items to find…cool, sell the very limited time 80’s outfit…cool. just don’t like my fellow tappers getting this highway robbery of a deal. WTH peepants high price point? I actually woulda been cool with it if it was bundled with ring of fire….a ring of fire…a ring of fire.

just when i thought it was save to tap on the finished pound and start collecting vinnie’s stuff within three daysto clain the pasta place.. they come up with a kool-aid timed quest, i don’t really see anyone can do both quests in three days without spending clams.. ..

Focus on sending Jerome and Chris on the tasks for Kool Aid…they’re short tasks with LOTS of chances for drops (Jerome is 1hr and Chris is 4hrs), and both aren’t needed for Vinny. It’s not even 12hrs into it….try it out over then weekend and reserve Judgement until Monday 🙂

Not just TinyCo not letting us sleep, they’re not letting us work either! I try to check my game for item drops frequently when I’m supposed to be doing my job (shame on me). Keeping Jerome constantly going on his 1 hr task all day is risking getting me in trouble! What The Hell? Stupid real life responsibilities, What The Hell? Still working on unlocking Tom Tucker, haven’t even built the pound yet for Vinny cuz I’m dealing with the Kool-Aid Man now, and Mayor West is almost here! There’s almost too much to do, What The Hell!

1) what the hell is with the amount of complaints?!?! (Not on this post – that’s what it’s intended for), but sometimes reading the comments on the posts can be so frustrating with the things people complain about (and don’t even get me started on their Facebook page – holy moly). I typically like reading the comments to get other perspectives, tips, laugh, etc but lately it seems a lot of people are Debbie downers. Kudos to you guys for reading and replying you all do a fantastic job.
2) die hard, life long Cubs fan but Jeter has been my favorite for as long as I can remember. So happy I got to see him at Wrigley one last time this year (I saw #2 twice in my life – I love that). But what the hell, I cried?! Cried when he first took the field, cried at his first at bat, cried when it was possibly his last at bat, cried when he hit the game winning RBI…get it together girl!! Re2pect!

Glad you got to see him play, they just don’t make baseball players like that anymore! And I love the cubbies! I seriously hope they get it together in the next couple of years…it would be hard not to root for them in the playoffs 🙂

I agree with mark. . . WTH on only 4 or 5 characters doing all of the work. And, a big big BIG WTH on 400 clams for Cleveland!! I winced at getting Pee pants for 175 clams, so you KNOW I don’t want to fork over 400 clams for Cleveland.
Finally, WTH TinyCo. . . .Give us a clam deal we can work with! Not free clams with coins, but free clams with clams!! Halloween is coming! We’ve got to stock up!

To many things to unlock (especially timed) and only able to use what 4 or 5 of my 24 characters. What’s the point in getting all of them if they don’t help? It’s all about spending huge amounts of clamp now. WTH

My WTH is I’m starting to suspect TinyCo is reading my mind. They offered my much-coveted Cleveland for the *exact* number of clams I had, they started the KoolAid man quest when I was getting bored waiting for the pre-Tom Tucker land to clear… Get out of my head! [said in Cleveland’s voice, of course]
My other WTH is: How the freakin-H is it October already?!?! (For anyone who argues it’s still September, go ahead and blink. Aaaaaand… October.)
I’m also behind the walk-throughs obviously, but I think that’s a good thing. It’s nice having everything detailed out and any hints revealed before I get to a new area/questline. I see a lot of people post that they just set everyone to long tasks when new content gets released – by lagging behind, you lovely ladies warn me who needs to be free for my next step. (And I’ve learned from this blog to never set the main characters to long tasks on a Thursday night!)

Good point. Of course, the most important characters to keep free are Alissa and Bunny, so we should never try to set either of them on that 8-hour Sleep task! 😉

The Pee Pants thing is really burning me up. I was really close to unlocking him and had I used clams (although I probably didn’t have enough back then) it would have been a lot cheaper to get him. I didn’t do it this time on principle. Also, there are too many timed events going on right now. I was holding off on starting the Vinny questline because I’m getting ready to head out of town for four days and wanted a shot a getting the free building. Now they hit me with they Kool Aid Man? One I really want? And that looks like it’s going to be pretty tight on the collections? I’m trying to stay off my phone on vacation. And this is with just coming off the Sexy Stewie time costume and knowing there will be more timed stuff for Halloween. I can’t be the only one who would have liked a bit of a break.

The number of clams they were asking for Rupert really grinds my gears. I have been an avid player for months now and when they had the Tea Party that offered Rupert I did the math and realized that I wouldn’t be able to get him without speeding up tasks using clams. I said screw it and then TinyCo decided to change the rules on the last day letting the last two combine, but that was after I was far enough behind not to get him. Then they bring him back into the game ask this many clams?!?!?! Seriously! What the Hell!!!

Too many tasks shared between too few characters WTH. Also I’m a daily player but still cannot catch up with your walkthrough, and the content still keeps coming. WTH.
