The time has come and the wait is over…Halloween is here!!!!!
More details as we go through them….but for now know that Peter kicks things off…and you’ll most likely get the popup saying reload for an awesome new event..
UPDATE BUNNY 730PM EST: For iOS and Android having crash issues, try again. iOS make sure you are on iOS 6 and completely updated. Android, make sure you download the newest update from the market and running on version 1.3.2.2 for the app. These should help with the iOS blue screen and the Android neighbor visits crashing.
UPDATE BUNNY 215PM EST: Jailhouse Meg items should stop dropping now. A patch has been pushed from TinyCo. Please try force close/restart to clear this.
As for the issue of the Spellbook/Portal sticking and not able to clear the task, they are working on it.
We’re working on a spell to fix the crashing bug with the Spelbook. So far, yelling out “insectum reparo!” has not worked.
ANNNNNNNND They just pushed a patch for this. Try to force close and restart to put it in effect if you don’t see it.
Update 11:55am EDT: Guys we’re working to get the info as fast as possible, but with everyone hitting the servers at once we’re getting the same connection dropped screens you are. So we as that you be patient and give us just a bit of time to try and pull as much info as we can… 🙂
Also, there seems to be a little “hiccup” when Drunk Programmer Kevin flipped the switch (I guess it wasn’t sobered up enough)…and Android users will see different color tress but nothing else. It’s coming, just be patient it should hit shortly.

Ok so first…I’m sure you’re all asking…What the heck is going on?
Peter, in typical Peter fashion, has decided to tick off the dead. In doing so Peter accidentally opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery and unleashes all manner of ghosts and goblins on the city…your job is to help round up these ghost, goblins and ghouls!
As always..the game will guide you through the process. So if you’re feeling confused just read the dialogue and see what the game is telling you to do. You can also ask us. We’re always happy to help 🙂

We’ll have full posts explaining the ins and outs of each aspect of this event, but for now…here’s a quick rundown.

Here are the event details from the game itself:
Halloween District:
Much like Full Moon & Comic Con the Halloween event has it’s own district…pretty much in the same spot. Here’s a look at the district when yo first start up your game..
Inside this district is where you’ll find the Portal and the witch’s cauldron (more on those later). The Haunted House is also located here.. for repair. (more below).
Here’s how the district looks after you’ve started and built up a few things..
This event has two types of currencies….
Spirit Vials
Fright Points
Spirit Vials are used to purchase event exclusive items
Fright points help you increase your fright level, and unlock more content.
You can earn each by doing various tasks
New Costume:
Ghostbuster Peter
You’ll need Ghostbuster Peter to clear the Terror Dogs…It takes 2 hrs to clear 1 Terror Dog. You’ll earned 10 Spirit Vials and 2 Fright Points every time you do. And a chance for Terror Dog Bones.
Required to unlock:
500 Spirit Vials
15 Ghost Dusters (uncommon): Earned by: Make Quagmire Order New Toys OR Make Peter Dig Through Attic OR Make Jerome Borrow a Halloween Costume OR Get From Macabre Curiosities.

Much like Comic-Con we’ll be given challenges to complete in an allotted amount of time to unlock cool prizes.
The first prize is….
The Ghostbuster Sign
Here’s how you complete the first challenge. After you craft Ghostbuster Peter the following challenge will popup:
You have 3 days to clear 12 Terror Dogs in Quahog. Again you need Ghostbuster Peter to do this. And each dog takes 2 hrs to clear….
SIDE NOTE: This challenge will trigger around completion of “Who You Gonna Call” Part 1.
Diane Simmons
Peter and Quagmire decide it’d be fun to dig up Diane Simmons! Here’s how you get her…
The quest to unlock her is called… Hell Hath No Fury Pt. 1
First you have to dig up/repair her Gravestone. This costs 250 Spirit Vials and takes 8hrs. Once you find her you only have FIVE DAYS to unlock her or she’ll disappear forever…
To unlock her you have to craft using your Cauldron. Here’s what you’ll need:
-Brew Chomps the Zombie in the Witch’s Cauldron
-Brew the Electricity Ball in the Witch’s Cauldron
(We suggest to wait to on digging her up and starting the countdown until Peter’s costume is built.)

So, I spent clams to speed up Peter zapping the Terror Dogs for this task, only it seems as if that chapter of the challenge has disappeared. The “Who You Gonna Call” challenge hasn’t popped up. What’s up with that?

Any idea what the max fright level will be? I am almost at lvl 5 and if that is max then I can ease off the fright point earning and try focus a little more in unlocking stewie. Btw this site rocks and has helped me avoid id10t user errors a lot.

Hello there,
I have came to be quite fascinated with your game family guy and cannot get enough of it. I reaently tried to aquire pink Brian and eas unable too. Candy wad not populating on tje side walks. I’m sure I’m not the only one. What am I suppose to do? Will I get an other chance?

Where do I find the timer for the terror dogs? Also How often does slimmer spawn?

Timer can be found in the portal. Dogs and ghosts alternate coming out of the portal
As far as Slimer he’s up every 8hrs..and only for 2min. If you miss him in that window you’ll have to wait another 8hrs to find him

Will the Ghostbusters Logo be available as a prize when the week 2 challenge is announced?
Halloween is Quahog is great! I’m loving this event more than Herbert loves… Uh, as I was saying, you pointed out that the Ghostbusters Challenge is similar to the Fabulous Challenge. However, it’s not clear whether or not there is a deadline to The Day of Terror challenge to obtain the sign.
I’ve yet to get the last couple of Psychic Cards for Ghostbuster Peter. I’ll need to be less casual if I only have a few days left.

The character collection ‘Characters You Buy’ still includes Human Rupert, so anyone who missed out on that character pretty much can’t get 100 clams…does this mean that Human Rupert will be released later? Because I missed out on getting it for free and for 250 clams so I’m wondering if it can be a permanent character…

I had won Rupert in my first game that I lost, because there was no notifications saying players need to log onto Facebook or Google to save your game during the game instructions. My device lost it’s ability to find wi-fi, so I had to reset it. It was after I reinstalled the game that I found out about the saving process.
I’ve contacted TinyCo multiple times about restoring him, but they have yet to reply back on it. Another player on your message board, that nobody uses (Alissa & Bunny, you two need to start promoting it more!), said she lost everything because of the same reason and she started playing way before me.
If there was one major problem with FGTQFS game design I’d state that its this. TinyCo can’t assume players automatically know the game’s saving process.

Without a saved database of your game play, it’s almost impossible to track let alone restore.
It’s like putting cash in your sick drawer vs a bank. If it gets taken, sock drawer has no documentation to go by. No record vs bank that will.
I just know from past experience how hard it is to recover unsaved games. It’s like a staple in a million haystacks.
All I can recommend is suggest to them how you feel they could do better on making players have an account. Tell them your thoughts.
You can try once more to email them, but like I said…without saved file I don’t know how’d they track it.

They’ll start spawning as you move through the questline. You will see them before you see Ghostbuster Peter.

I tried going back through the comments to see if anyone else asked, but there’s a LOT of comments to wade through on this post alone.
I noted on Peter’s dog-hunting task that it says the bone drop is rare. I’m trying to figure out if I’ve been lucky with bones popping out every time the task ends (or I can collect from the haunted house) or if it’s mislabeled and should be an always/common and I can start digging up Diane’s grave. Do you anticipate confirmation tomorrow once TinyCo is back in the office?

I started the timer on Diane before getting Peter done…I couldn’t read the tiny fine print warning to finish Peter first! I only have 3 days left and 3 items needed before I finish Peter =( Do I even have a chance now?

Work to get Peter as fast as you can then get bones as fast as you can.

I did the same thing with a lot more items needed to finish Peter’s costume. I spent a day focused on getting as much needed for Peter’s costume. With 3 days and 21 hours left on Diane’s timer I was 2 psychic cards short and used clams (you can make those back in the multiverse over time) to get Peter’s costume. I was able to get a few terror dog bones from Slimer and the Haunted House while keeping Peter busy every two hours. Now I have the electricity ball and 2 days and 23 hours left to get the zombie and unlock her.

Best answer ever! Enjoying the event is the way to go, just have fun with it, everyone plays differently. I’ve read some here that have just become obsessed with the game, and that is just not fun nor healthy. There will always be more, and more, and more event from Tinyco, that is for sure. 🙂

The Witch’s Cauldron is not working for me. I have the scarecrow and every time I try to get the next item, it gives me the scarecrow again. I now have 3 extra. I have sent Tiny Co a message, but they are probably globbered with messages because there seems to be many glitches (as usual). Anyone else having this issue?

Are you making sure the one you want is tapped on, highlighted, and shows in the details below the correct ingredients (like 100/100 vials 2/2 bones)? Then tapping brew?

I literally just finished with GB Peter’s costume, and the GB sign challenge hasn’t appeared. I’m up to Part 7 of ‘I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost’, so I’m a bit surprised it hasn’t shown as it’s only halfway through the first week. I’ll report it to TinyCo, but just checking if it has happened to others?
